The Cmeme caravan continues their trek to dance floor domination with the return of Daniel Maloso - undeniably, the label's newest and biggest talent to be reckoned with. Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico and currently residing in Barcelona, those who have been lucky to catch Matias Aguayo performing on the recent Cmeme European Tour would have seen this force sharing the stage and mic and playing solo.

Róisín Murphy will release the first of two remix bundles of tracks from her new 'Mi Senti' EP on June 25. The bundle will be available on four track 12', as well as digital download, and features mixes by Pyschemagik, house legends The All Seeing I, Horse Meat Disco's Severino & Nico De Ceglia, and Leo Mas & Fabrice.

In addition to the remix bundle, a remix of 'Ancora Tu' by Italian legends Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi will be made available for fans to download for free from the new 'Mi Senti' microsite: http://www.roisinmurphymisenti.com

'Mi Senti' is a collection of six Italian songs - including five covers of classic pop hits from Italian singers and songwriters, and one original song by Murphy.

Róisín recorded the EP over the last year, at home in North London and in Ibiza, with her partner (and Milanese music producer) Sebastiano Properzi, along with producer Eddy Stevens.

Let's enter the year with a very precious record for us and on which we rely to make inroads in your hearts too. Its a 12" limited edition, 300 numbered copies. The side A brings "Goce Impact" yet another masterpiece signed by Salvatore Stallone, a track of over 11 minutes that shows the full class of a visionary and experienced DJ. A round beat with character driven by a magical piano and the arrangement that always move the rhythm up to reach the highest moment where the theme is so friendly, which reassure and sets on fire. The side B opens with "MaryJane" by Daughters & Sons, fearless in the gait, the best example of refinement and groove, made incredibly deep and immense thanks to the bass played live by W. Pompermaier and the silken and miraculous voice of miss Constance Dalrymple. The record closes with "No Fear No Regrets" by DJ Ermi, a rare gem with a strong jazz inspiration and sweet melodies reminiscent of the best chill-out experiences of the late 90's / early 2000's, enhanced with a theme from the breath eastern entrusted to the flute.

Jason Kincade aka The Mayor writes: I've been given the task of writing about three new instalments in the channel xxx series, inspired by the late, great Mangiami restaurant.
From 2006 until its lamented closing in 2012 Mangiami was the downtown clubhouse for a very New York cross-section of DJs, artists, musicians, fashion people, music obsessives and assorted layabouts.

On any given night of the week you knew that within an hour of sitting down at the bar any number of your friends would soon appear, and be entertained by the massively charming owner, Gianfranco.
Then there were the DJ nights. Every Monday (and later Wednesday) from after work until far too late on a weeknight pretty much a who's who of local heroes and international superstars would play on the rickety old Technics sat on the bar, with mayhem and general debauchery to follow.

It wouldn't be a surprise to come in one night and find DJ Harvey at a table with Tim Sweeney next to Alex from Tokyo and Bing Ji Ling with Eric Duncan manning the decks and 100 people crowded into the tiny space and spilling out into the street.

These three 12s by some of the artists that frequented Mangiami, coming in advance of a compilation of original material on Golf Channel, are a pretty accurate view of what went on there.
From low-slung fuzzed out sleaze through gritty roadhouse blues via stringy guitar solo led disco to bubbly, infectious afro disco and finally dubby, reverb-ed out sheer lying on the floor madness there is something for all moods to reflect the eclectic shenanigans that went on in that now hallowed space.
Whilst I am not at liberty to reveal the identities behind these recordings, the word 'luminaries' definitely springs to mind - cop the vinyl and all will be revealed.

Oh yes, this a heavyweight bad boy on GAMM from French beatmaker/producer iZem.
After his extensive travels around the globe the sound on the EP is influenced by Africa, Cuba as well as the middle east.
ITT is an electronic take on a classic Fela joint, Celia (Cruz) goes along a similar route but on the latin tip. Both are pretty nasty and a near perfect marriage between futuristic productions and raw retro samples. Finishing off the EP we get served a slice of arabic boogie using Hipnotics hard to find boogie gem 'Are You Lonely' and some fierce middle eastern vocals.

Originally hitting in 1978, this classic was an epic Italo disco hit worldwide, released on a multitude of labels including ZYK and Rams Horn. Penned by Will Morrison and Ian Guenther who also produced THP Orchestra, Grand Tour, Sticky Fingers & Skatt Brothers ('Walk The Night'). 'The Ultimate Warlorld' is a dark electronic disco workout that sounds like a Patrick Cowley production that never was. With its demonic vocals and tough driving percussion, this is sure to set dancefloors ablaze. The flip 'Warlord (Part 2)' takes things even deeper and druggier with its call to arms vocals running riot. This EP was a true blueprint of italo disco at the time and still sounds fresh as a daisy... with modern producers Serge Santiago and John Selway recently sampling this single to great effect

Profiled within this album and book are the bands that transitioned from funk to disco; the bands that kept up the backbeat as rhythm moved to the backseat. Against the odds, they left recorded artifacts for we at Now-Again to dig out, dust off and restore. Collected here for the first time are the musical dreams of dozens, dreams that were deferred but were never discarded. Soul Cal features some well-known figures from the various 'soul' scenes that paved the way for their resurgence. The new soft-spoken, hard-rocking group from Baltimore debuted their full length live show at the Wolf + Lamb Marcy Hotel this March. Following in the footsteps of greats like Nicolas Jaar and PillowTalk, they were the first invited guest in over 2 years to perform at the legendary Brooklyn proving grounds. Life on Planets is a duo that met in the studio lofts of their east coast hometown, whereby a collaboration fusing indie artrock and electronic music began to take shape. It was a pairing of two dramatically different personas, merging as one for a serendipitous, romantic sound that's now been signed to the Double Standard label. Life on Planets has also released music through Better on Foot, where the debut single 'Apollo' made waves in early 2014. The touring act features live vocals and guitar, backed by a dj/producer, dawning a long-awaited return to authentic songwriting in dance music.

In 2011 Jaki Whitren & John Cartwright's original International Times LP saw a release on Emotional Rescue after originally hitting the shelves in 1982. The pair are now part of a remix EP by Misericord and one-time Internasjonal producer Al Usher, who supplies two remixes and a dub, while a spacey Aphophenia dub to the track "Times" has added for extra measure. Usher's first rework of "Stay Cool" sounds like a 2013 meeting between a purple-clad Prince and a young Diana Ross, while the Dub version sees Prince's funk make way for Giorgio Moroder sound design. On the flip is a acoustic-leaning and inspirational "This Time", which could easily soundtrack a mesmeric highway-driving scene from Thelma & Louise.

Rich Lane updates the New Beat classic 'Flesh', bringing it up to date with modern production values, and will introduce the track to a whole new generation.
