Originally released in 1978, Luv You Madly Orchestra's 12" taken from their first (and only) LP features the prodigious mixing talents of the iconic Disco alchemist Walter Gibbons whose deconstructive style has left an indelible mark on contemporary dance music right up to the present day. Elements of dub and experimentation had always been ingredients in Gibbons' formula when it came to DJ-ing, mixing and re-mixing records throughout his career and "Rocket Rock / Moon Maiden" is evidence of this.

Side A is a laid back disco groove, starting out with bare, stripped back drums and easing us in with an almost lazy bassline and shuffling percussion, there's so much space in the track and all the elements sound super clean and upfront and then a jazzy organ drops in accompanied by weird phased string sections and funked out guitars and horns, "Rocket Rock" has it all. On top of all that super spacey sounds and cowbell run through the track with a large pinch of Walter Gibbons' magic dust in the mix thrown in for good measure!

Side B is the real gem here. "Moon Maiden" is equally as sparse and otherworldly. It's essentially a cover version of Duke Ellingtons lullaby-esque song of the same name. Gibbons really steps up the mix with almost nine minutes of frantic, trippy disco eccentricity with soaring strings, odd analogue synth frequencies and spooky vocals flowing in and out. The track build and builds being driven along by wooden blocks, cowbells and that insistent bass-line. Another lesson from one of the masters that less is definitely more! Left-field disco at it's finest.

This is the first non-promo version of this 12" to be released, fully re-mastered and re-pressed in conjunction with Salsoul Records.

Vinyl 7" S/sd with Bees Wax back

Over the last few years, The Very Polish Cut-Outs built a long discography of digital edit EP's filled with forgotten grooves from the his home country's communist past. These reworks attracted the attention of hundreds of diggers and music aficionados around the world.

Vinyl releases followed, all of them selling out in a few weeks. It's not surprising that Zambon, who runs TVPC, decided to issue another bunch of the most successful reworks as a third vinyl sampler of the label. This loudly pressed record contains four gems, ranging from new wave, to bluesy soft-rock and rough discofunk.

The A Side hits us with two edits done by Old Spice, a digger, producer and a master of editing hailing from south-western Poland. 'Pieniadze' is a low slung groover with lyrics about the addictive power of money, extended here for a maximum pleasure on the dancefloor. This track was never pressed to vinyl before, with original short version appearing on a cassette comp only in 1979.

'Chce Ci Powiedziec' (I Want To Say To You) is a perfect slice of Polish disco-rock transformed into a feel-good dancefloor filler. The charismatic female vocal and undeniably catchy hook will work everywhere.

On the B Side up and coming duo Jazxing bring pure downbeat balearic gold. These guys from Gdansk chopped and looped obscure bluesy, funky soft-rock, creating a hypnotizing slice of lazy beach house.

The last cut is done by Mental, who sets us into a cooler territory of Polish no wave. Emotionally engaged vocals about keeping privacy in communist society are backed by a steady post-punk groove. This Poznan producer adds modern drums and arrangements, creating a track that's much deeper and moodier than the original.

Justin Faust has quickly emerged at the vanguard of Europe's nu disco/electro house has taken over dance floors and DJ charts during the past half-decade. Based in Munich but integral member of Portugal's Discotexas label (with Moullinex, Xinobi, among others), the Faust has created an album that shows how Justin creates his musical vision - from very club-friendly classics like "Girl Talk" to Nu Disco and Pop excursions and even slow material -, this album is like a summer breeze of feel good vibes. The album also includes the hit single "Space Rhumba" and a completely new version of his classic tune "High Hopes" as well as a unique approach to his first Discotexas EP title track "Holdin On" renamed "Slowin On".
On "Na Sowas" he was able to work with guitar legend Mats Björklund, who recorded tons of records for the likes of Boney M. and Giorgio Moroder - a true disco legend! The first single of the album will be released on September 12 and is called "Spellbound" which sets the path with a pumpin' mix of Nu Disco and House. No matter where you play it, "Spellbound" will fill the dance floor.

Glenview records proud to welcome american singer/ songwriter, man behind KC & The Sunshine Band back in the 70s, pure legend — Clarence Henry Reid known as Blowfly. Brilliant collaboration between him, Robbie Hardkiss (Classic) and main producer here — Sleazy McQueen.
Sleazy shows his really awesome productions on original version and included special «ghetto» version called «Shake Your Ass», on B-side u will find remix productions from Cole Medina and Bobby Starrr (1/2 Jack The Box: Tyree Cooper & Bobby Starrr).

Permanent Vacation once again returns to the pool position. Seven years after the release of the last 'Permanent Vacation' compilation we dared to compile number Three . A long awaited studio album of Saint-Petersburg based live-electronic music trio D-Pulse.
For the past few years D-Pulse has released their music on such established labels as Island, Tirk, Teardrop, Gomma, and Theomatic. Mostly known for their remixes, band decided to bring their debut studio album via their very own imprint - Vernal records.
The band's melancholic sound echoing from the numerous factories and forests of their homecity, Izhevsk, fused with exeptional production established D-Pulse as one of the most vivid and respected live acts on the contemporary Russian indie and electronic music scene.

Listen, David Guetta's incredible sixth studio album, set for worldwide release on November 24th, unites three years of production work with David's desire to produce records that strike a chord with his huge army of fans and equally, opens the hearts, ears and minds of others. including such 70s rarities as Carol Woods' 'I'm In Wonderland', Doris Jones' 'No Way Out' and 'Suddenly
I'm Alive', Eastbound Expressway's 'Never Let Go', Seventh Avenue's 'Miami Heatwave' and Tyrone Ashley's
'Don't Stop Dancing'. We've also added the cream of Levine's 80s 'Disco' output - many of which have
been lost in the sands of time ever since but which have been hand-picked by Simon White to compliment
Levine's 70s output!

The companion album to '24 Hours A Day - Ian Levine: The Disco Years' is this sterling collection of Ian
Levine's 1980s HI-NRG output - a scene in which Ian Levine was superbly qualified as he was the resident
DJ at London's No.1 Gay club, Heaven, throughout the 1980s, thus setting the musical agenda for the rest
of Europe throughout this period. Once again compiled by aficionado Simon White, 'Beating Faster - Ian
Levine: The Hi-NRG Years' once again collects the creme de la crème of Levine's HI-NRG releases between
1984-1990 including such in-demand and commercially difficult to find tracks like Miquel Brown's 'This Time
It's Real', Sadie Nine's 'Number One Lover', Seventh Avenue's 'Loves Gone Mad' and Norma Lewis's
'Surprise Me Tonight' among many other gems. As with the other volume, many of these tracks have been
generally unavailable on CD until now and certainly many of these mixes are making their CD debut for the
very first time too!
All tracks have been extensively re-mastered and sound the best that they've ever been. There is the usual
8 page booklet with sleeve notes by Simon White and a number of scans and photos, all superbly packaged
in a stylish 2CD pack with slipcase.

Starting some 30 plus sounds of the 70's years ago in Petersburg VA, on Virginia State College's campus, three young men started on a musical journey that followed the sounds of the '70's.

Rodney Dorsey, a native of Baltimore, Carroll Ellis, jr from Richmond Virginia, and South Boston Virginia born Ray Crawley

Beginning as a accapella gospel quintet, locally performing as "Essence". The three young teenagers began performing on campus talent shows, then started to venture off campus into the supper clubs around the area.

Not being content with just being a "regular" group the newly renamed "Ebony Diamond", started to write, arranged and produce their own original material.

First recording a single as background vocalists on a track entitled "For As Long As I Live" with their mentor, writer/producer Bernard Smith.

The guys along with a tight band began to perform the local club scene, but still always found time to record their own compositions in the studio.

Finally after nearly 40 year sitting in a box, this amazing mid-tempo monster, recorded at the famed alpha audio studios in Richmond Va, has made it to its rightful destination. On a 45RPM. We hope you enjoy it.

The EP starts of with Back To the Start, a sampled piano fuelled beauty that weaves you through another disco dream world. It brews and bubbles subtly enough to capture the imagination and transport you to a thoughtful sound pallet. Music that paints pictures as you listen only for you to awake and realise your foot is tapping like Keith Moon on a kick drum. Beautiful work.
In remix mode Ste Spandex gets busy jamming up his tape machine in the studio and crunching out an absolute warehouse banger with this massive remix. A totally spiritual hardware shower to assist you in ridding you of your tiredness as dawn breaks outside the club.Gravity is a perfectly crafted dope wave disco from the Manchester 5 piece that's built to suit any kind of dance floor. The production is perfect. Every instrument is crystal clear and spreads lush and wide like a junkie with a needle in his arm . The dark chugging vocals build and soar in total harmony with the bubbling disco not disco soundscape. A total masterpiece.

Trouble has more percussive and acidic synth disco feel with a great lo-fi intro then the beautiful vocal bursts through to balance the sharp with silky soft perfectly. The track is choc-full of soulful boogie licks and sprinkles of pop sensibility. By the 3 minute mark I’m jumping about the house in my underpants like some high school twat from an 80's John Hughes film. Mega jam

She Lies are a disco post-punk band from Berlin. They used to live together in an appartment sharing their musical ideas and Inspiration before starting to record their no wave inspired songs. Anni one of the two charismatic girls is on vocals and guitar, while ele, her childhood friend, is on Synths and Samplers together with Michel and Daniel who are also part of the band Rework. Their rythms are deeply maniac, proceeding into synth driven krautwave monsters, adjusted with catchy girl vocals and guitar noise. She Lies first release "Needed you" comes out with an amazing remix of Needed You on the B Side by Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J Fairplay under THE ASPHODELLS, they turned the original into an uptempo and hypnotic track.

New Yorker Elliot Taub graces this 8th Kinfolk release with 3 trax of varying intesity. 'Do That Dance' is an uptempo melodic bass and synth heavy dancefloor jam. 'Thirteenth Roll in A Bakers Dozen' takes a slower spaced out route. '10 Dollars' conitnues in the same mode but this time with guitar and a super heavy synth line pushing the driving force along and finally Soft Rocks grab a hold of '10 Dollars' and turn it into a John Carpenter-esque electro groover.

Manchester artist Belly is back with his second EP of 2014 released through his new inprint Belly Dance and this time he is joined by East End Soul vocalist Shona Carmen & one half of Asphodells Tiimothy J Fairplay on the remix. The second EP see's Belly up the pace slightly from his inagural release moving slightly away of the slow beat of tracks like Dark Autumn and Farewell and embark on a sligtly more up tempo , swing style bordering on the style of Machine Drum. The first track 'Control' is a hazy club track with strong vocals from both Belly & Shona backed up by drum and bass beats which is followed by vocal heavy space beats in the form of 'Zu' . On the flip side we see the real inpact of Shona Carmen with a clubtrack loaded with summer vibes called 'Painting' . The vocals are soulfull and beautiful with a swing tempo and drum patterns that lift throughout. This is followed by Timothy J Fairplay bringing in his own take on 90's chicago garage music with a banging clubtrack remix of Dark Autumn off of Belly Dance 001.

(EMOTIONAL) ESPECIAL START 2014 WITH PECKHAM'S FINEST BIRD LOVING DUO, PUTTING ON ONE EP PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED REMIXES FOR ROCKET RECORDINGS LABEL MATES GOAT AND TEETH OF THE SEA, PLUS SYNTH-POP LEGENDS BLANCMANGE. Following their acclaimed debut album, Migration, on Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label in 2012, Jamie Paton and Nigel Hoyle (aka Nigel Of Bermondsey) have seemed relatively quiet save for the odd remix here and there. Tucked away deep in their South East London base though, a series of remixes and solo projects have been steadily forming. With new C&A material planned for 2014, plus more to come from Jamie's new solo efforts, as well as Nigel making a long overdue reappearance in Maurice & Charles, now seems the right time to draw a line under their collective work to date. Here then are a collection of unreleased interpretatons, including the sought after vocal remix of psychedlic darlings, in Goat's anthemic Run To Your Mama. This is followed by a late night dub of 80s pop duo Blancmange that mixes strings, guitar and some dub bass with a dose of space echo before bringing Neil Arthur's classicly recognisable refrain shining through. To finish is a remix of Goat's label mates Teeth Of The Sea. FX-soundtrack vocal, bubbling 303 and 808 combine on a proper 3am dub that builds beyond some mere drug-chug.
