Space Disco is a new label basically focused of high quality edits of space-funk-disco and
rare groove tunes. On side A we have two hot edits by DJ ROCCA (never released on vinyl),
the frst one is a new edit of the super-disco-funk 'Groove It To Your Body' originally
released in 1982, while the second one is a power-boogie tune, 'Be Mine Tonight'
originally released by the Jammers. On side B we fnd the great Loft Classic 'Love Money'
under a new killer unreleased edit made by MOPLEN.

Wonderful remastered reissue of Nancy Martin's 'Can't Believe', a deep Italo/proto house cut from back in 1982 recorded by Canadian producer Domenic Sciullo. Featuring an awesome phat analogue Italo-style bassline, great sexy vocals and an irresistible chugging groove that gets the floor bouncing, it became an anthem in the underground clubs of Chicago, championed by the likes of Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy. Released here on the original Neige Records label which features the full length long version of this killer and also the highly useful instrumental version. Essential!

Optimo's prolific DJ/producer/label boss JD Twitch aka Keith McIvor has curated a compilation of early '80s synth, industrial and cold wave classics and undiscovered gems in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory, following the (Cease & Desist) DIY! (Cult Classics from the Post-Punk Era 1978-82) compilation on his own Optimo Music label, and Youth Stand Up!, a collaborative recording project featuring young musicians from Glasgow, Ghana and Belize on his Autonomous Africa imprint.

Titled So Low and set for release on 19th February 2016 on double vinyl, CD and digital download via The Vinyl Factory, with hand screen-printed artwork by Katie Shannon, the 16-track collection had its genesis in McIvor's irregular club night of the same name in his hometown of Glasgow. So Low is an occasional night at The Poetry Club in Glasgow where I play some of the music I played when I first started DJing back in 1987,' McIvor explains. At that time the audience I played to mostly loathed what I was playing and rarely danced but then shortly after, when House music arrived I found a different audience who actually liked to dance.'

In response to my wife's deep love of this music and requests from some friends who were too young to hear it in a club at the time, or indeed were not even born when most of this music was made, I was persuaded to revisit a lot of records I still loved but rarely played out, and So Low was born. It has an extremely enthusiastic audience, a joyous atmosphere and is the antithesis of what a club in Scotland playing this music nearly 30 years ago would have been like.'

The term 'cold wave' was first coined on the cover of a 1977 issue of UK music magazine Sounds featuring Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk, and later by the same magazine in an article about Siouxsie and the Banshees, with the publication proclaiming, "Listen to the cold wave roar from the '70s into the '80s". It grew to take in the icy post-punk production and futurist, apocalyptic love songs of Joy Division, The Cure, Bauhaus and more.

So Low focuses on the perhaps lesser known protagonists of the scene, such as UK/European minimalists P1/E, Colin Potter and Gerry & The Holograms, and American industrial/experimentalists including Michigan's Hunting Lodge and avant-garde San Francisco collective Tuxedomoon, as well as a number of French and Belgian acts such as Siglo XX, Front 242, Marc Verhaeghen's The Klinik and Clair Obscur. Tracks from industrial forbearers Throbbing Gristle and band members Chris Carter and Cosey Fanny Tutti, who went on to record as Chris & Cosey, and Germany's pioneering minimal wave musician John Bender are also included.

With many of his contemporaries and newer artists alike coming forward as fans of the sound, McIvor and The Vinyl Factory have enlisted XL Recordings upstart Powell and Hamburg's Helena Hauff to provide remixes for their favourite tracks on the compilation.

Side A features the six and half minute Special Disco Version of 'Stay The Night' - a bass-heavy grooving funk monster with punchy horns and Billy's smooth vocals over the top. Flip over for big Frankie Knuckles play 'Nights (Feel Like Getting Down)', a pedigree jazz-funk cut often considered one of his finest. And last but not least is the long 12" version of the massive disco classic and Studio 54 staple 'Are You Ready'. Happy to welcome Le Loup ( Hold Youth, Half Baked, Concrete music) in the aeternum music family, still young and already many releases on known and respected labels. He delivers here two tracks full of grooves
in a housy touch that he knows well. While on the B side we are pround to have a remixer no less than Baby Ford ( Perlon, Trelik) which delivers a magical remix to close this EP in a perfect way.

fruitful collaboration between the proto-boyband and legendary pop-disco producer Maurice Gibb is a wonderful slab of chugging syncopated cosmic disco rock topped off with lush string arrangements which despite being criminally overlooked at the time of its original release, has recently garnered much favour with Balearic aficionados. Also surprisingly good is the flipside's 'You're Mine', a more 'live' sounding affair, coming across like Steely Dan met Chicago at Studio 54 and hit the studio on the way home. Don't miss!

MM Discos originally emerges from the passion of two friends who share the same fondness for records made just of vinyl, after years spent hunting, collecting and spinning them.
This is driven by the intention of bringing to light the work of talented newcomer artists.

MM Discos is born with no musical prejudices whatsoever but undoubtedly influenced by a certain mix of genres in which one can identify, among others, Disco, Synth-Pop and Italo.

Our first track is a groovy Edit, produced back-to-back by notorious Akirahawks, Capo di Tutti I capi of the Berlin scene and House Mannequin's frontman, and Enzino, responsible of his own editions at Encino's Rec. and one of the most significant representatives of the Balearic sound around the world.

The second cut is brought to you by the enigmatic MSMCI, who has masterfully deployed all his skills to put together a killer House track drizzled with soft-spoken vocals that carries the listener to an evocative world of Daiquiris, palm trees and girls in bikini.

On the B-side, Marvin & Guy coming hard after a series of successes on Hivern Discs and Young Adults, combining Synth-pop and Italo crystalising in a Nordic 80's-influenced Edit ready to rock the dance floor.

If you were to cut Neville Watson he would bleed acid house, he'd also quite likely knock you flat on your arse for having the temerity to wave a knife at him, but that's a whole other story. For his first WU contribution he ventures down the ethereal proto-house boulevard. Jacking 707 patterns, a bouncing Juno bassline and outer-space synth lines take you into the upper atmosphere for a glorious airborne joyride. As ever, Neville manages to evoke those 85-89 feelings without ever sounding merely retro or like some kind of pastiche, something that many attempt but very few manage to pull off.

Graeme Clark is never one to rest on his vast number of successes, having numerous creative outlets and aliases with respected collaborators. As 6th Borough Project, alongside veteran Edinburgh DJ Craig Smith, the production duo turned out two stunning full length albums for the respected UK label Delusions Of Grandeur. Another long term partnership with Glasgow's legendary Sub Club resident DJ Harri has gained high praise from industry tastemakers including Skream, DJ Hell, Rob Da Bank and Ewan Pearson.

Having released on a multitude of highly revered labels including DFA, Pokerflat and his own defunct Instruments of Rapture, Graeme has rebuilt the foundations in the form of R oar Groove releasing
his own original material with a range of vocals, tempos and dubs along with esteemed likeminded producers on various music formats.

Intimate Connection c omes in the form of a double EP, split into two parts - each containing three new tracks plus a specially recorded live 'dub' version of tracks featured on 'Love That Will Not Die'.

Part One of the EP features a laidback down tempo theme to start with 'Our Own Thing', featuring signature organic house stabs accompanied by an everprogressing arpeggiated chord sequence. 'Answer Man' follows with big yet raw percussion while 'New Nation' builds suspense with a driving synth bassline.

The first of the two live 'dub' recordings rounds out Part One, manipulating the ubiquitous Think (About It) sample in 'Night Fever' with stuttered percussion in one take, taking it away from the tribal themes in the original track.
Graeme opens Part Two of the EP on a similarly relaxed tip, 'Isle Of Lucy' is a chilled deeper number with a characteristic sultry melody. 'Let Love Take The Blame' proceeds next with a wider and more active bassline, filtered and twisted in different turns sometimes with a lick of acid which leads nicely in to 'No Turning Back' with more raw drum machines and a heavier acid undertone. The second live 'dub' recording wraps up Part Two of the double EP, in which Clark maintains the metallic and almost minimalistic percussion of the original 'Just One Touch' but adds colour to the regimental bass stabs, perfect for any dark and dingy warehouse.

Attention, Eurodisco fans! The classic 80's sound is back on vinyl! Bad Boys Blue, one of the most important pop bands of that era, is again available on deluxe edition audiophile vinyl, remastered sound, with high quality embossed sleeves and posters. The first album 'Hot Girls, Bad Boys', released in 1985, features top International hits 'You're A Woman' and 'Pretty Young Girl'.

NYC's Cosmic-Disco-Funk superheroes go head to head on this 12" release.This is the first vinyl release from King Mono (featuring Little Shalimar from Run The Jewels and Jesse Boykins III) and the 3rd single from Sunrise Hwy (featuring Amy Douglas (Juan MacLean, KON, Eli Escobar etc)) after Ten Snake's True Romance label released their first EP's last year.

Messalina Records return with a fantastic EP of eclectic dancefloor bubblers from fellow We Love Space residents Jamie 'Fatneck' Low and Lucci Capri (aka DJ Callum). First up is the eagerly awaited vinyl release of Fatneck's incredible acid rework of Michael Jackson's classic 'Billie Jean', highly in-demand since receiving heavy rotation from Greg Wilson (the only DJ lucky enough to have a copy) who nicely sums the track up..."I love the way Fatneck has put a somewhat psychotic twist on 'Billie Jean' via his acid interpretation - inspired West Yorkshire Wacko madness!" Next up Lucci Capri delivers the quirky Balearic chugger 'Dame Un Beso', with super-sweet Latino lyrics and a great Reggae-influenced swing. Flip over for the beautifully understated 'Because Today I Saw U' which melds a cool deep house groove with Esther Phillips' yearning vocals. Rounding off the EP in style is Fatneck's superb dancefloor-friendly edit of the Aretha Franklin version 'What A Fool Believes'. Great stuff - welcome back Messalina!

Super hot reissue of the in-demand original clear vinyl 12' version of 'Give Me A Dance' by Kym released on the small but collectable Baltimore label Award records. With its electro / proto house groove, it became an anthem on Chicago's WBMX in the early eighties and with a sexy vocal, killer synths and phat analogue b-line, this delicious slice of boogie goodness has recently found its way to the top of many a wants list since being championed by DJ Harvey. Superb!

Big records on small format, that's the definition of Sudden Edit, a 7" disco edits label founded by up-and-comer costa rican disco edits talent Napoleon. For this first release, Napoleon makes his debut on the A side with a beatdown rare cosmic disco edit called "Cosmic Cheetah" with space long chords and dark vocals. In the flip side of this lovely piece of plastic comes Hristo from Honey Disco with a slo-mo soul jam called "Deja Vu" with sweet female vocals and lovely piano chords, pick up your copy before they dissapear forever... keep the fire burning.

Released in 1979 Queen Samantha's "Take A Chance" has gone down in Disco history as an all time classic.

Produced by former Aphrodite's Child bassist Harris Halkitis and featuring elongated naked "DJ friendly" drum breaks and uplifting vocals and synths the record was sure to be a hit in Discotheques on it's initial release. The record was a huge success and has been sampled, edited and re-appropriated countless times, it even captured the ears and minds of the nascent Hip Hop movement that was brewing in New Yorks Bronx neighbourhoods a few years after it's release with Afrika Bambaataa including it on his game changing "Death Mix" session with Jazzy Jay in 1983.

Both sides of the 12" are bona-fide Disco gold, pairing Queen Samantha's soaring vocals with the stripped back, percussion heavy back drop of Halkitis and his band. "Take A Chance" still sounds as fresh, epic and driving today as it did in '79 and still finds favour with forward thinking Disco DJ's who include it in sets now.

This is only one of many underground Disco classics that the mighty Miami based TK Disco label brought to the world, officially re-mastered, re-pressed and re-issued in conjunction with Joe Stone / TK Disco.

Kicking things off on the A side is 'Herbie's Jam', an effortlessly cool House edit of the legendary Jazz pioneer that features an infectious piano loop, live drums and a funky bassline which we're sure is going to become a staple at day time parties and sunset sets this summer. There's also an incredibly smooth and soulful trumpet sample to complete the jam and tie everything together.

On the flip you'll find a more up beat and peak time affair called 'Oliver' that keeps the same jam session vibe as on the A side, but this time employs sultry organ keys, breezy guitar licks, and a truly groovy Saxophone contribution that makes you just want to get up and move.

Just as with their previous releases, this is a Hand Stamped, Limited, 12" that won't be around for long.

Malka Tuti are presenting a debut release from another Tel Avivian prodigy - Yovav Arzi. As part of the infamous Red Cotton band (with band mates who later formed Red Axes) he also part of the current Red Axes live band project. Multi Instrumentalist and a Multi Inspirationaist artist, Yovav presented the label with 2 fresh sounding orignal Tunes. On the A-Side we find Botanical Garden, an epic big room tune with a melancholic bassline that is woven through groovey analogue Drum Machines and spacey melody that throws the listener back to early Carl Craig music. Willie Burns's remix to Botanical Garden is a stripped down deeper version of the original, not losing the melancholic atmosphere from the original it completes an unforgettable A-side.. On the B-side we find Magnetic Field, a balearic smasher with the grooviest of bass-lines and guitar riffs that transform the track into a pitched down dancefloor-krautrock tune. B2 sees Jori Hulkkonen pitch it up to create a dancefloor monster powerhouse track.

You Exist' is DMX Krew's debut appearance on Hypercolour, and as expected the record features nine tracks of beautifully crafted, melodic electronic sounds. From the opener 'Spiritual Encounter', DMX sets the tone perfectly with oodles of pitch perfect synth riffs and driving drums, working his way through snappy and bright pop moments like 'Hard Copy' to more melancholic, darker cuts like 'Computational Paradigm Shift'. DMX breezes in and out of electro techno territory to more contemplative IDM vibes with ease, testimony to the guy's talent (that's also seen him wear the hat of over 10 aliases throughout his career to date).
