This edit of Yves Simon ´Au Pays Des Merveilles De Juliet´ first appeared a year or so ago as a free download for a super limited time via the Psychemagik soundcloud page. Blink and you missed it.

Now, after a long wait and many licensing delays the edit sees an official release on limited edition vinyl (500) via Leng Records. Played by many over the last year the edit takes all the elements of Yves Simon's original, stretching it out from two minutes to over seven making it an instant classic.

From the tropics comes Whiskey Disco, a sneaky re-edit label bent on dredging the decanter for diffident dancefloor genius from latent disco perpetrators. It's loosely connected to Sleazy McQueen and his assorted cohorts.

Whiskey Disco #12, Playboy, showcases the musical wanderlust of Reykjavík, Iceland's own B.G. Baarregaard. His melodic dance music has found support from djs like Greg Wilson, Till von Sein, Q-Burns, Sleazy Mcqueen, Local Zero, Touchsoul and Leri Ahel (Mutant Disco radioshow). The title tune, Playboy, is fit enough for both vocal and instrumental versions. B.G. adds music aplenty and we're sure you'll get a bit heated over them. We think this EP is so solid we've stacked it with two original tracks that really fit the vibe of Whiskey Disco, No Other Lover is a fantastic specimen of BBQ disco, while Boogie is a bit more stripped and builds to a nice acid vibe that would fit a later set.

We are pleased to welcome Lerosa to the Slow Motion family. The Dublin based Italian has released eclectic productions on labels such as Ostgut Ton, Uzuri, Millions Of Moments and Vakum Records which encompass all shades of italo, electro and raw, unhinged dance music.

For 'Il Nostro Tempo', his debut release on Slow Motion, Lerosa has
crafted four tracks of wistful, propulsive dance music. The trance
inducing chug of 'Il Nostro Tempo' and the bittersweet synths of 'La
Monarca' take up side-a, a pair of contemporary club cuts oozing with
emotional melodies and stripped back rhythms.

On side-b the the skittish rhythms and wobbly arpeggiator of 'Ninfa'
take you through to the early hours. 'Pompeo', perhaps the most
emotional of four nostalgically sad club jams works just as
effectively tugging your heartstrings on the headphones early in the
morning as it does in a smoky club late at night.

Medusa Edits "Reflection Series Vol. 1" features 3 re-edits that harken back to the early days of the legendary Chicago all ages night club, Medusa's. The Cure's "The Walk" is remixed on the A-side, while the flip contains re-edits of New Order's "586" and SPK's tribal/ industrial cut "War On Islam". White labels in stickered paper sleeves. Each volume sold separately.

"Joining the dots after last years reissue of Plus Instruments early 80s post-punk music on the Bodies EP on Emotional Rescue, Especial now looks at their return to recent music production, taking the song Love Is Enough from the recent Trancesonics album and giving it the all encompassing label remix treatment.

Returning to releasing music after over 30 years hiatus, the now solo, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Truus de Groot, showed she had lost none of the unique off-kilter dance inflicted avant-pop observations.

With the release of Trancesonics things come full circle, bringing Truus' right back to her roots. On hearing Love Is Enough's thumping 4/4 kick, sliding hats, white noise and mind-worming vocals seemed in tune with what Especial is about - warped, tripped -out, dub inspired dance floor music that retains an ear for melody and at times, pop leaning, it was a calling not to be ignored.

Richard Sen then, leads the way with a trademark killer Chicago inspired bump'n'strings cut that takes Truus' vocals to the horror chamber. Next, Khidja show why they are names to watch with their retake, mixing double bass and vibes interplay, trippy fx and haunting refrain, all wrapped in a killer groove that signal a duo totally on their game.

On the flip, it was a perfect fit to get Luke Solomon in to do one of his special 'mad-hatter' skat style remixes. Jumpin' and bumpin' across the floor this is Music For Freaks. Finally, homeboy Jamie Paton does it again with twisted, bubbling dub, riding snares, arps on arps, a multi-layered, live on the mixing desk work-out for mind and feet. Is Love enough Maybe. Or it could be Dub is enough Time will tell. Dot to dot.

After 25 years Bordello A Parigi offers you these mid-80's italo-disco-bangers on vinyl again. Three old killer releases transformed in one reissue. The three course menu contains the two 1985 hard hittin' D. Carred obscurities and continues with this spicey hidden gem 'I'll Go Where I Like To Go' from Rambles, which was D. Carred's first production on vinyl in 1984.

High-quality 12" vinyl pressed at Archer on Detroit's east-side. Hand-numbered by label boss Peter Croce or label first lady Eliisa Bojanic. Limited to 500 copies.

Berlin based duo Africaine 808 will release their debut album 'Basar' via NY imprint Golf Channel (home to Mark E, Juju & Jordash and DJ Nature) in January next year.

'Basar' pushes their divine blend of West African bass and rhythms, disco, island-funk and house to newer heights. Their deep and timeless debut is about 'Freedom and Freedom only' and is an album that reaches for the party Arthur Russell was talking about when he said 'I wanna see all my friends at once.'

Africaine 808 are Dirk Leyers, formerly one half of Closer Musik, and Berlin DJ and established artist Nomad. The pair met in Berlin at the city's annual summer techno demonstration Fuckparade in 2000, where they caught the infamous 'Techno Viking' scene live as it unfolded. Nomad got his first drum aged 6 years old, from a church collective yard sale. Now an avid collector of African influenced musical styles, from South African Shangaan to Westafrican Funk, his rhythmic quest has lead him to study and explore African and world music for almost 3 decades. The Africaine 808 project grew out of Nomad's Vulkandance parties; a melting pot of African, Latin, and Caribbean club music.

The title 'Basar' comes from the ancient term for 'oriental marketplace", a place to experience a multitude of impressions with your senses. Like an exotic marketplace, 'Basar' is filled with different sights and sounds around every corner. From the deep and mystical 'NGONI' which takes West African music to the rave with wobbling bass and hints of 90s ethno-dub to the killer squirmer of a bassline on 'Language of the Bass ft. Alex Voices' which keeps things heavy but nimble whilst recapturing UK bass histrionics. The smokey, soulful tones of OFRIN on 'Ready For Something New' offers a mystical downbeat gem. Whereas 'Basa Basa' takes it back to the dancefloor for a sweaty rhythmic number that bounces off the walls with it's tribal funk groove. Recent 12' single 'Rhythm Is All You Can Dance' also makes an appearance; wedding funk, earthy rhythms and frenzied African grooves to the gurgle of an 808.

The duo made their debut back in 2013 with 'Tummy Tummy'; which featured on Will Speculators W.T. Recordings compilation "DJ MUSCLE." The following year Golf Channel put out "Lagos New York." Pairing New York flecked disco with West African bass and rhythms, "Lagos New York" made for one of 2014's most essential electronic releases.

Having found the right home with one of the best labels (and parties) in New York City, the Berliners debut album 'Basar' has the feeling of an essential piece of music all over - a big, brooding, emotional and uplifting record that you can dance, laugh and cry to.

Pomalo, means 'take it easy' in Croatian Dalmatia region's slang, is the latest addition to the Burek/Barba family.

A 12" by CL Dawkins titled 'Affirmation Of Love' comes as a wonderful postcard from Detroit. Written and produced by Alex Israel, remixed by Amp Fiddler, and with a vocal contribution by Lavell Williams, the record features three different generations of Detroit artists.

Alex Israel, here debuting his CL Dawkins moniker, is a mechanical engineer and synth aficionado with a deep respect for soul music.
Since 2011, Alex has released a string of successful releases under his real name on labels such as Creme Organization, Stilove4music, Night Gallery and W.T. Records.

In tune with the mood and title of the label, Alex delivers two mid-tempo jams which are hard to ignore. 'Affirmation Of Love' is a soulful tune that works equally as the last song of the night, in your living room, or at a boat party.
Mr. Williams, whose vocals envelop the song, is vice president of the Detroit Sound Conservancy, an organisation deeply involved with Detroit's musical heritage education.

CL's second tune on the record is 'Blue Falconry', an instrumental with a subtle synth line reminiscent of Alex's previous work threading through the whole length.

Finally, Amp Fiddler contributes his take on the vocal cut. Fiddler's career connects the worlds of George Clinton, Sly and Robbie, Prince, and Brand New Heavies to artists like Moodymann, J Dilla, Theo Parrish, and A Tribe Called Quest.
A one-man musical hub, and an artist whose impressive biography would take up more space than we have here, spins the title with a dancefloor edge while retaining all the things we love about the original, a soulful Detroit house take that leaves a lasting impression...

This promising Israeli talent delivers two slow burning tracks oozing with eastern influence and informed by the modern sounds of dance. Part of the 84% Creativity crew, Naduve presents his second release with Cocktail d'Amore in the form of a two track EP which revels in it's dark and seductive energy. "No Good News" builds over it's 7-minute run layering mystic vocal synths and coupling them with splashing hats and tight shakers to give just enough beat driven energy to keep a crowd to attention. The flying guitars and staccato synths of "A Trip In Tel Aviv" slither over half beat percussive structures to give this track a sinister feel ideal for late, late, late nights. Wunderkind Man Power drops a tab on "A Trip..." giving it a fresh take perfect for psychedelically inclined moments.

After a pretty good success with Tonbe's digital releases on his imprint Disco Fruit,now it's time for vinyls. Label will be dedicated to release quality disco, nu disco, house and funk music. Released on Copenhagen's Music For Dreams, this taster showcases Hammer's unconventional approach to combining classical and electronic music as part of the New Nordic Classical Movement. Includes 'The Singing Clouds' - dreamy pads, solo synths, and old skool drum machines aimed squarely at the dancefloor sounding like an updated Innovative Communication record; the string-infused dream-like bliss of 'Mother Space'; the warm soulful spaced out 'Cold Hawaii' - 100% cinematic sunset material with echoes of Bladerunner; 'Father Space' whose floating pads drift steadily through the seas of electronic beats towards the horizon of the Universe; and the beautiful 'Birdy', a classical piano piece composed by Polish film score composer Zbigniew Preisner, here adapted by Troels Hammer adding his special emotional touch. Icing on the cake is a very special remix from Sweden's Farbror Resande Mac who deliver a timeless chill out rework of 'Mother Space' - drum machines, soft pads, bubbly synths and nice guitars creating a full moon ambience, a future classic for Balearic connoisseurs to be sure.

It's loosely connected to Sleazy McQueen and his assorted cohorts. Oslo-based, Icelandic producer, B.G. Baarregaard, returns to Whiskey Disco for his third solo EP, Disco Inn. The title song features a talented roster of Icelandic-via-Oslo musicians. Inga Þyri coos blissful harmonies atop a deep groove comprised of electric guitar chucks by Sigurður Guðmundsson and organ and bass by Baarregaard. This deep groove will work those balearic moments to-a-tee. On the reverse, Undercover Lover exposes RnB style vocals, delayed claps and bass groove on the outside cut and country style Guitar sitting comfortably next to 303 acid on the inside for Kaffibarinn, an homage to the legendary Reykjavik music venue.

Kat Records once again come up trumps with a blazer of a 4 tracker for release number 27 on the ever consistent imprint.
Kat debutant Inxxwel continues the run of releases in fine form with a wonderful EP of not so well known dance floor smashers covering Afro, Disco, New Wave, and 80's Boogie vibes.
Kicking things off is the Disco Afro goody that is Check It Out.
A mid tempo shake down that ticks all the right boxes with infectious guitar riffs, vocals and bass-lines right through this with a cheeky teaser of an arrangement that's sure to do some damage on them there dance floors! WD42 welcomes two men who need no introduction, Kon & Jacques Renault. Both known the world over for their sleek and well-oiled productions and their contributions to the WD catalog are no exception. Jacques leads the a-side with disco bass, clattering percussion and sublime vocal crescendo making way for Love Dance's understated edit of this noodling version of the Bill Withers classic. Kon wraps the B-side with a long and drawn, slightly dubbed and ever-building edit of the album version of Promised Land.

For the label's second vinyl release, P-SOL tapped a few of the scene's heavy hitters and compiled this 4 track, floor-friendly sure shot!

"One of the most ambitious Euro-disco acts of the late 1970s was Space, which shouldn't be confused with the alternative rock band that recorded Spiders in 1996. By the time that Space was formed in the 1990s, the Euro-disco act heard on Deliverance had long since called it quits. Recorded in London and Paris in 1978, this conceptual, mostly instrumental LP employs a lot of futuristic sci-fi imagery and is quite high-tech for its time. Synthesizer-dominated instrumentals like "Air Force" and "Running in the City" give the impression that Jean-Philippe Iliesco, the album's producer, had been paying close attention to German innovators like Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder-and yet, Deliverance has a high-tech energy of its own. In the U.S., this record was ignored by radio programmers, but European dance clubs found that the album's faster material was great for moving bodies. At times, Deliverance ends up sounding like European movie music and fades into the background. But when Space hits its mark, Deliverance is both interesting and infectious".
