'Immortal Fix' spikes and spins, laser beam synthlines cut through rumbling chords with snares that do more than just bear teeth. Italy's Hesperius Draco closes Johnny 320 with giallo horror grandeur. Beats and words are shrouded in lilting strings for this sinister curtain fall.

Gifted Culture collective kicks off with Zinnigheddas Jam Berlin, first 12' of a series of three releases recorded exclusively during improvised jam sessions. Gifted Culture wants artists to breath and to represent in music the contemporaneity that surrounds us. Gifted Culture catches that very moment on tape. This is an itinerant music project, to highlight the context as influence on the artistic process.

During the first session Two Thou, Autre, Xinner and Demo gather together during a Sunday night in Kreuzberg with an electric bass and a bunch of synthesizers. There they start to tell us how they feel the 'now'.

House- und Hoflieferant der DJ-Spitzenriege Shahrokh Dini erfuhr in seiner langen Karriere schon immer breiten Support als DJ und authentischer House-Produzent. Bereits in den 90ern hatte er Releases auf Strictly Rhythm und mit etlichen Releases auf Compost Black Label geriet er seit jeher in die Plattenkoffer von Âme, Ron Trent, Jimpster, Dimitri From Paris, Rainer Trüby, Sasse, Laurent Garnier und vielen mehr.

Übrigens ist Shahrokh nicht nur House Produzent und -DJ. Er betreibt auch Clubs und Venues seit Mitte der 90er, promotet von Zeit zu Zeit große Musik-Events, hat mehrere DJ-Residencies und besitzt auch seinen eigenen Laden - Monk in Karlsruhe.

For their third release, Akoya Circles label boss and modular synth whizz-kid Look Like serves up 3 tantalizing tracks with which to tease and test dancers.The South America via Zurich producer's minimalist style lets him forge simple elements together into highly effective arrangements that allow lose beats and wonky synth squelches to punch in next to pristine melodies. With not a beat wasted, the tracks have a versatility rarely found across one EP.Dreamwaterz is as apt a title as you could wish for. It is comprised of three fluid and nebular tracks, each with an initial dreaminess that belie deeper and irresistible currents of funk, perfect for 5am witching hour moments. Nowhere is this more apparent on the title track.On first inspection A2 Amnesia is a fat bottomed production with a lose, jazzy feel but there is a crafty rhythm just below the surface that cycles effortlessly from breakbeats to surging 4/4. The track is adventurous without losing sight of the dancers, guiding and teasing them between a pair of club standards.Given the B side all to itself, World Below is a highly musical track with only the softest hint of drums. While lending itself to club spins as a tool for layering it stands as an introspective and ethereal piece of music in its own right.The ideas present in The Dreamwaterz EP and ice cool efficiency of their realisation makes this a must have EP for DJ across a range of styles and with Look Like still an unknown quantity to most, potential secret weapon status.

HOGG returns to SCRAPES with a full-length recording made at Electrical Audio. Self-Extinguishing Emission captures the physicality and energy of a HOGG performance over the last several years, while the song-writing and production show a refinement and development that is uniquely HOGG. De Lichting is a brand new collaborative project between three key underground labels from Amsterdam namely Yield Records, Native Response and Working Titles. All with their own successful solo projects and well established in what they do, the collaboration is 'a coming of age story narrated by a bunch of music heads from the same city.' It is a project that sees seven self-confessed music nerds putting their DIY ideals front and centre and coming together to self-release these 13 new and exciting tracks.Artists Nathan Surreal, queniv, RDS, Scott Franka, Kaap, Eversines, Human Space Machine and Deltitnu all contribute at least one track each to what will be the first in a new series of releases that follow this same diverse collaborative approach. Musically, the tracks cover many shades of house, ambient and techno across four carefully curated sides of vinyl. Side A takes in unsettling sci-fi ambiance that turns into spacious and cosmic deep house before dropping back into dreamy, beatless chords. Side B picks up the pace with slippery electro synths and rubbery grooves that journey through the cosmos before ending up on romantic broken beat bliss. Side C kicks off with menacing and trippy house which turns to deep acid, loose beat workouts and dubby ambiance then last of all, Side D offers supple mind melting techno and sombre minimal dub. Always inventive and atmospheric throughout, this a varied and vital release that both DJs and dancers are sure to love.

180 gHaving played at On Loop's 1st birthday in 2017 after guesting on Moxie's NTS show the previous year, we are delighted to welcome LK back to the family for our seventh release. Hailing from Leeds, he's been a producer on the rise for a few years now after standout releases on labels like Shall Not Fade and Ruff Draft. Previously releasing under the alias Viers, as LK he offers something with a more soulful touch. Each offering on the three-tracker brings something slightly different to the package. Title track 'Dreams' has been made with the dancefloor in mind, whilst the summery '(I Wanna) Make Luv 2 U' is drawn from laid-back Soul and Motown influences. Slow burner 'Summer Of 93' closes the EP, with a direct nod to the slinky vibes of 70s disco.

The manmade feature of this track is stunning; it is industrial, a vacant warehouse of cobalt sound.

Younger Than Me are Marcello Carozzi and John Ming, a rising DJ and producer duo from Milan. They teamed up with singer Lara Caprotti for their debut release. The uplifting synth arrangements combined with the soulful voice of Lara results in an ultimate sexy-disco-rave euphoria. Fellow Italians Massimiliano Pagliara and Uabos handled the remixes and and put their sophisticated signature on top. A future club classic, sweet as honey!

In its second venture into reissuing hidden gems of electronic music produced in Eastern Europe in the 20th Century, LITTLE BEAT DIFFERENT ISSUES focuses on the work of a Czech composer, musician and producer, Alexander Goldscheider. Born in Prague in 1950, Goldscheider started as a music orrespondent in New York in 1968/69, went onto reading Music at Charles University whilst continuing as a music critic and radio/club DJ, before becoming a record producer at the top Czech label, Supraphon. As a composer, he pioneered the use of synthesizers in his songs for major Czech pop/rock singers as well as in his own instrumental tracks. After moving to London in 1981, he first recorded two albums at the renowned Red Bus Studios, then proceeded to work at the legendary BBC Radiophonic Workshop, before co-founding and establishing Romantic Robot, a software and hardware design and manufacturing company which later moved into music recording and publishing. Of the many original products, THE MUSIC TYPEWRITER was ground-breaking software enabling the writing and printing of real notation on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Similarly TEREZÍN: THE MUSIC 1941-44 was the first ever release of CDs with music written in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp during World War II. Goldscheider's 1980s LPs THEMES FOR A ONE-MAN BAND Vol I & II reflect his work as a solo artist, always writing, recording and producing single-handedly. He had, though, a team of technical aficionados and inventors back in Prague, who adapted and developed his electronic music equipment incl. synthesizers, sequencers and even a Studer multitrack recorder, thus creating a revolutionary set-up, on par with the much later MIDI.This LP samples Alexander Goldscheider's music produced for records, films, TV and even an art exhibition in the space of 25 years starting from 1975.
