The man who is responsible for more than a few choice cuts on NBAST is back with his exceptional dance floor driven treats. The eagerly-awaited sequel to the highly popular Don´t Forget To Boogie' and Keep The Funk Alive' EP´s, Soul City Jams' expresses the sunny side of life in sound. Four pieces that complement each other perfectly as they evoke a magical moment in every occasion. Bitterweet samples, tough beats, hard hitting grooves and heartfelt melodies bringing to you loads of #datsoulthang flavour. Over the years Moton has become synonymous with releasing great quality edits from a range of amazing producers. Their 43rd release is no different offering up two glorious edits ready made for the dancefloor.'Cuffari (Make The World Larger Than Me)' on the A side is four and a half minutes of luscious, soulful, string laden goodness, entrancing you with those dreamy vocals. Trust us, she's right when she says '...the melody echoes in my mind' - this one will be stuck in your head for days! Flip it over and Marcel Vogel, under his Em Vee alias channels the happy-go-lucky NYC discotheque days through 'Dancing (Jumbo)'. With an all too infectious guitar and bass riff, coupled with cosmic synth pops and perfectly layered vocal chants - it's sure fire, peak time disco gold.

Next up on High Praise, we're pleased to welcome two long time friends of the label for their first collaborative venture. Introducing Rude & Mean (also know as James Rudie and EVM128). As key members of the infamous CoOp collective, they have been flying the flag for the UK's broken beat revival, turning heads with their intensely soulful productions. Supporters include the likes of Gilles Peterson, Bradley Zero and many more.

'Moments In Soul' and 'Just flow' are two exuberant masterclasses in how to create a joyful edit. Their broken beat background shines through in the meticulous drum programming, giving the performance a natural, live feel and setting it apart from others in their class. Syncopated rhythms, celebratory chords and relentlessly energetic basslines feature throughout - creating a groove so powerful you can't help but be spirited away to the dance floor.

With this release High Praise continue to build their status as a label to keep an eye on, with their party series and clothing line steadily growing in popularity.

WDSB06 kicks off with a classic in every sense of the word, the legendary producer, Doc L. Junior of Tromso reworks a disco classic in a 909 style, followed by G.O.D. (Grumpy Old DJs) from Colombia reworking a latin 80s jam, then newcomer Just Baker bringing the disco house heat for a full slab of the B Side.

Walkin Thru Circles - originally produced by Lars & Marek Bartkuhn - has always been a favourite for many of their fans. The original Thump Mix is a constantly building mover that is based on a massive beat, hypnotic soundscapes and highly energetic chord hooks, ready for taking off to outer space. For the Full Expansion Lars has gone back to the studio to recompose and re-record the whole thing over again, combining the skills of some excellent session musicians with lots of live instruments, drum & percussion and vocals all played and sung by the producer himself. The song`s sparse core of bass and percussion summoning the sensuality of Frankie Knuckles` seminal sort-out of Electribe 101.

Its B-line a tranquillised, arpeggiated sibling of Morroder`s I Feel love. Slo-Mo-Robo-Kinky-Disco with an AC/DC acidic undertow. The track`s poncho swapped for leather strides. Its Converse All-Stars for biker boots.

New project alert for this experienced duo with a deep history from playing Hammond organ for Robert Plant, releasing 12"s on MAW's Kenlou Records and playing weekly six hour vinyl DJ sets, with 20+ years experience WLC have come full circle for this diverse EP. "Give You More" is a MPC house groover with KDJ-esque jazz-funk loops and vocal sample chops while "Miami Rice & Peas" centres around Latin piano motifs. "Everybody's A Star" replays the classic Minnie Riperton "Inside My Love" chord progression but with added vocals and disco flavours and "Which Way Is Detroit" fuses broken beat, techno, live keys and electric bass with a pulsating breakbeat. Finally, the bouncy "Five Soul Chords" utilises some J Dilla swing combined with warm analogue synth programming. Highly recommended.

In recent years the clamour for the funkier side of AOR, Blue eyed soul, funky rock or any other description you'd care to imagine has reached heightened places. The hardest diggers have been endlessly searching for breezy, soulful and rock-infused R&B gems hidden away in the recesses of the major and independent label archives. Miami's CAT Records - one such independent, and an off-shoot of the hugely successful TK Disco empire had made it's mark since the early 70's with stellar sides from Little Beaver, George & Gwen McCrae, Raw Soul Express and many more. It was later, 1977 to be precise, in the height of the Disco era when Chocolateclay appeared. Their self-titled and sole LP has long been a thing of sought after beauty, a real Miami rarity that showcases a classy blend of funk, soul and AOR stylings delivered by the solid pairing of George 'Chocolate' Perry and Clay Cropper. Perry's name is well known among rare soul aficionados due to his involvement in some classic underground records from that scene (Wizzdom 'I'm So In Love With you' etc) and his part in writing, producing and arranging for artists like Blowfly, Milton Wright, King Sport, Bobby Caldwell, Latimore, Joe Walsh and many more. Cropper was also well known as a solid Miami session man who played keys, wrote and produced for a plethora artists from that part of the world throughout the 70's and 80's including Betty Wright, George McCrae, Frederick Knight and more. To say these 2 guys were seasoned pro's would be an understatement. No surprise then that their contribution to the CAT catalogue is a finely tuned, funky, sunkissed LP of jams that will bring unlimited joy and warmth to you via your turntable. Languid, melodic, grown-up soul music here folks, drenched in that sunshine state goodness. Oozing positivity and class - Chocolateclay is as deep as it gets. Often selling on-line for tidy sums (£60 +) this LP is a true gem, now is your chance to own a %100 legit, TK Disco sanctioned, vinyl copy of this killer Soul LP. Re-issued just the way it originally came out in 1977, no tricks. Essential!

It seems like about every three years or so, the mysterious BOXMUSIC label drops a killer, vinyl only release that turns into an instant classic. It started back in 2006 with I Love Music. Then in 2009 came I'm Satisfied. 2011 saw the release of As/Always. And then, silence. Rumor has it there were some great edits released under some aliases on different labels, but nothing on BOXMUSIC...until now. Believe us, it was worth the wait. On this release, label-head, scott K. brings in his Chicago brother, Cratebug to handle the remix duties. Cratebug has the Midas touch, and this release is no exception.Sinna Man has been in the prized hands of some of the world's biggest DJ's for over a few years now, and none of them has slowed down in featuring it regularly in their mixes. DJ's like Derrick Carter, Honey Dijon, Kenny Dope, Radio Slave, Juan Maclean, Jackmaster, Mark Farina, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, The Black Madonna, Pete Tong, and a grip of others, have all included this rare gem in their Boiler Room Sets, in their BBC Essential Mixes, in their mixes at Sonar, Coachella, FYF, Dekmantel, and more. Now, this secret weapon is finally available as a limited edition, 500 piece pressing, on white vinyl. Don't sleep...when this one's gone, it's gone. Dagfest in English means 'Day Party' and is comprised of Sweet Swedes, Patricio Cabezas and Mats Lundgren. The duo professes their love for cosmic stickiness in all its trappings between these two originals.

Lovedancing only saw it fit to pair these with the electro-infused funk of Tom Noble and the groovy bump of label head, Sleazy McQueen. We think it will certainly rock your Dagfest.

Manchester original Sameed comes through on GAMM with two tasty noodle nuggets based on his food experiences from Vietnam where he currently resides.
His simple yet effective approach is best described as sample-friendly underground dance music with influences of Disco, Soul and Jazz.

On his GAMM debut the first noodle dish comes with a heavy Disco and Jazz-Funk feel (Bun) that together with some gritty vocals gives us a peak time jam to die for.
For desert, Sameed delivers 'Chao' which is way darker and chops up some deep Jazz samples with some 4/4 rhythms.
Again, simple but oh so effective...

Killer, cosmic leaning German Funk-Rock moves here on the repress tip courtesy of Epsilon, a 4 piece from Marburg, just North of Frankfurt.

That kind of grooved out, downtempo dusted Glam type of gear that one might hear DJ Harvey play at wrong o'clock in the morning, or something that Loda might flip into mid-set that would have everyone scratching their head in disbelief. One of a handful of cool jams the Epsilon guys cranked out, remastered and repressed on a lovely, handy 45. Sounds heavy. Essential listening for those of a more 'left-field' disposition. Dig it.

A classic white label that has been out-of-print and hard-to-find for many years is now remastered and reissued with an all-new B side from edit maestro Mr. K. The original release is coveted not only for the quality of the edit but also for the beautiful sonics on the vinyl itself. We're very happy to present the second and last 12' with remixes from Undo's 'Disconnect L.P'. After Iñigo Vontier, Cabaret Nocturne and Dimitri Veimar's excellent remixes of 'Autómatas' and 'Computer Friends' now it's time for Marvin and Guy and Zombies In Miami with two outstanding reworks of 'The Arptist' and 'Disconnect'. The fantastic italian duo Marvin and Guy take on 'The Arptist' is an 11minutes lisergic journey through magic pads, sparkling arpeggios and distorted guitars. On the flip Zombies In Miami work there magic on 'Disconnect' using the original pads and Undo's voice to create a totally new track with their own trademark. The 12'' limited edition comes wrapped in a beatiful cover by David Imbernon and mastered by Yves Roussel.

BHE 8 continues the devastation from Gay Marvine: totally transformed donna summer, a prince disco edit that removes all the vocals, his liaisons avant apres mars master edit, and iggy bowie eno sister midnight.

Time for some completely fresh business from a relative newcomer to the scene, though we're sure the name Cosmonection will be on your radars soon enough. The Parisian producer knocked us off our feet with a beautiful debut back in March this year on the fledgling Pont Neuf imprint. His '10 Feet Before The Horizon EP' was loaded with the just the kind of spaced- out, synth-heavy deep late night house that gets us all aquiver over here, so when a demo popped into the inbox we were all over it like a donkey on a waffle.

Here we present you with the Menorca EP; three blissed-out synth jams which explore the space between Balearic euphoria and Detroit futurism. On the title track a mournful Moog lead takes centre stage floating over a rising chord progression whilst punchy 909 drums bring the groove to the dance floor.

Next up, You picks up the pace for a deep and dubby house workout where soft focus pads converge with clattering percussion. Fragments of chiming melody bouncing around the stripped back groove.

Flipping over we have Light which shows Cosmonection at his most musical, layering up arpeggiating synths lines through a slowly building intro until a heavy groove with hefty kick joins the scene. The arrangement ebbs and flows as the rhythm drops out, rising synths creating anticipation and tension. This track feels like an ambitious fusion of musical styles and textures with 90's ambient colliding with Underground Resistance and coming up with a fresh sound for 2018 in the process.

Rounding off the record we have Delusions regulars, DJ supremos and all- round good guys Session Victim taking the reins on a remix of You. Keeping the warm, feel-good pads, the German duo inject a new found shuffle to the groove, bringing a wide-screen sensibility which adds a sublime yet dance-floor pleasing dimension to the release.

Groovy Odyssey are back again with a tasty soulful 4 tracker offering a sneaky peek into what's moving & shaking their dancefloors around the globe... New Jersey's Jihad Muhammad kicks things off alongside vocalist Carissa Nicole with a sumptuous slice of vocal goodness whilst DJ Spen & Michele Chiavarini's reworking of Leedia's 'You' brings the heat firmly to the front of the dancefloor.On the flip French trio Mindstreet team up with highly renowned vocalist Andrea Love for an infectiously good vocal workout, perfectly complimented with the mighty DJ Spinna who's Galactic Soul remix cranks up the vibe for sweet yet bubbly late night rumbler. Crackazat returns to Local Talk with a second single from his album 'Rainbow Fantasia'.

This time two of the stand out tracks 'Sundial' and 'Holding You Close' get the remix treatment by Groove Assassin and Waajeed !!

First up is Nick Moss aka Groove Assassin, his take on Sundial is a rousing rhythm of soulful house that comes bumping in. He kept the essence of the original track but also added some lovely keys, it sure hits that sweet spot and you're hooked for the full seven and a half minutes.

On the flip former Slum Village and Platinum Pied Piper beat maker and producer-extraordinaire Waajeed turns 'Holding You Close' into something imaginative with its layered percussion, jammed keys and vocal arrangement.
It's every bit as clever as you'd expect from a producer that always approaches music with a fresh perspective.

To complete the package is also the original of Holding You Close.

Ilija Rudman returns to IIB with a new track Motions feat the vocasl of Andre Espeut. A chuggy balearic House groover set to get us believing summer is just round the corner. The legend that is Don Carlos also returns to IIB to deliver two stunning remixes. The full on club Vocal remix and the sublime deeper take on the Ambient Mix.
