Various - Denya / Sibou Odia (Ben Gomori Edits)

Ben Gomori delivers another two carefully-crafted reworks for Sterns Edits, both tried and tested to ensure maximum dancefloor impact.

Guinean guitar master Djessou Mory Kante's blistering style makes for propulsive dancefloor material when paired with a chunked-up house rhythm, with Gomori utilising the stems available to add subtle FX trickery to the intricate melodics of the original. The whole affair builds and rolls in incessant fashion, with another riveting bassline mirroring and counterbalancing the main motifs.

The wild sounds of Senagelese legends Orchestra Baobab's nine-minute-odyssey 'Sibou Odia' is a formidable piece of work that shows the band's stunning musicianship in fine style. With only the original track to work from and no stems, Gomori hones in on the sections where the groove is dominant and the raucous solos potently cut through. The skanking rhythms are intact, with a huge bassline pushing the proceedings forward throughout.

Coke Disco / Willy Who? - Fantasy (De Gama Re-Groove Edit) / Such A Thrill (Les Inferno Dude Edit)

Daje Funk keep up their run of golden form in 2019 with another high quality double header 7” in the shape of Daje 004.

Kicking things off is another sure fire dancefloor smash in the shape of brilliantly monikered band Coke Disco’s ‘Fantasy’.
Coming in strong on the scalpel work is label co-boss ‘De Gama’ who has been on fire of late with string of stand out edits and original tracks over on Samosa Records.

Smooth filtered bass, chunky drums and loopy percussion warm things up perfectly before it launches into the powerhouse female ‘disco lights’ vocal and the stand out ‘disco dance’ vocal loop. The vocal is about as 70’s as they come, brilliant feel good vibes all round!

Another monster track from the all star tag team of Daje Funk records and De Gama.

On the flip side of the 7” the other half of Daje Funk ‘Les Inferno’ brings his undoubted powers to bear on a brilliant edit of Willy Who’s ‘Such a Thrill’.
Smooth pianos, effervescent bass and some brilliant work on the drums propel this one forward laying the groundwork perfectly for a ridiculously sexy female vocal.

Add in smooth strings, brass stabs, funk guitar licks and a classy guitar solo and this one is another high point of 70’s soul influenced vocal disco.

Its lazy groove scoops you up and leads you to the dancefloor whilst never for a second losing your gaze.

A brilliant release yet again for Daje Funk which will fly off the shelves quicker that you can say peak-time.

Confidence Man - Does It Make You Feel Good? (Remixes)

Repress!

Following their much acclaimed and loved debut album Confident Music for Confident People Confidence Man returned at the end of last year sounding like Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder gleefully discovering house music via Dee-lite with a brand-new track Does It Make You Feel Good?

Talking about the Greg Wilson & Ché Wilson remix Confidence Man said:

“When you work with a father son duo this talented and this god damn good looking you know good things will happen. They’ve got twice the brains and a multi-generational love for bangers. Greg and Che have taken the track to outer space and left it in Jupiter’s orbit for a while it’s always nice to expand the journey.”

And on the CC Disco + DJ Boring remix they added:

“Our good friends cc and dj boring joined forces for this master dub remix with these two fire breathers bringing some sweet sticky heat to ya ears. Sexy soulful and oh so tasteful they lend their skills to help you achieve your true party potential. You deserve it honey.”

LAGAFFE TALES
06.02.2019

Moff & Tarkin's second Lagaffe installment marks the label's 8th vinyl release. The release sports three original tracks from the Austrian-based Icelander and a remix from label boss Jonbjorn.

The record starts of with the track 'Buzz Lightyear', who flies us off out of the atmosphere filled beginning into the depths of the spacey synths, delays and feedback.

Followed is the track 'Friends Be like', which feels like a refreshing strut down the boulevard where everyone you meet knows you and you know them but instead of saying hello you are wearing headphones and just strut down the street nodding, winking and walking in beat with true swagger. A track with confidence written all over it.

The flip side features the track 'Takk!' which roughly translates as Thank You! in Icelandic. Maybe not roughly, but rather exactly. The track is dramatic and starts off rather stress inducing but takes a whole new direction when Moff n Tarkin adds in soothing piano chords and makes the track's whole mood switch.

Maybe its a fitting goodbye for the listener as you make your way through label boss Jonbjorn's remix which has a very warm and feel good atmosphere, lush drums and elements that add on layers to the already great original. A very personal remix and a good ending to a great record that we hope you can enjoy.

Phonk D - Shir Khan Presents Black Jukebox 29

Phonk D lands on Exploited with a takeover of their now-legendary Black Jukebox series. Serving up 4 killer dancefloor cuts, he’s got the weapons you need for the months ahead.

The supremely funky ‘Work Dance’ makes great use of dramatic horn blasts as off-beat bass pumps and stomps all over the place. Twanging guitars licks accentuate the groove further. Chunky drum fills punctuate the rhythms and tumbling congas keep things rolling as vocal cuts command you to ‘dance!’

Head directly to ‘Facelift’ for some glorious strings, cascading romantically over snappy ‘90s house vibe beats. Undulating bass perfectly complements these cute motifs, making for a track that falls somewhere between ‘sorrowful’ and ‘triumphant’ on the mood board. Throw in some glistening harp scales and you’ve got yourself a winner.

‘Never Walked Away’ is a tense stomper that focuses around a filtering soul vocal loop with some sustained strings cooked into it. The shuffling beats and relentless bass are supporting by detuned piano chords, increasing the hypnotically looping feel.

‘Get Ready’ teases with more warped piano before unleashing a loose funk b-line and dubby vocal snippets. Sweet guitar licks weave around the slinky bassline, this understated track making a deep and balmy finale for this great EP.

The Oceans - Good Guy, Bad Guy (Pacific Dream)

Another rare gem from Record Shack gets its first officially licensed 12” release – the absolutely killer early ‘80s jazz funk tinged, boogie bomb from The Oceans – ‘Bad Guy, Good Guy’, fully remastered for maximum audio pleasure.

With the release only ever being a whitelabel there was much confusion over the correct titling due to the stamp simply stating ‘Pacific Dream’, however the actual track titles are those housed on this release - ‘Bad Guy, Good Guy’ and the instrumental ‘Synth Good Guy’.

Those original whitelabels command prices of up to £120 and it’s no surprise when you hear those infectious guitar riffs blended with buoyant synth flurries and sensuous vocal harmonies. For those that would rather leave the vocals at bay, the B side houses the instrumental mix in all it's glory.

A radiant release that still sparkles as bright as it did back in 1980 – an essential buy!

MIREIA
21.10.2019

Casino Times? aka Nicholas Church and Joseph Spencer
from London have been betting against the house for
close to 10 years already, winning big with releases on
Wolf Music, Needwant, Omena and their own Casino
Edits label. The pair also hosts the radio Show “What’s
My Derivative?” on Bloop Radio.
Since Mireia Record’s big cheeses RSS Disco have been keen to gamble with the Time’s
music, routinely lighting up dancefloors with it, a loose connection and mutual admiration
formed over the years and eventually lead to this fine record here.
RUSH & KAWAI
Casino Times demonstrate their cunning yet natural and flowing sound with two originals:
“Rush” and “Kawai”. Both tracks are a proper trip of its own, psychedelic pinball machines
that’ll catapult you to the further edges of the known sphere.
An arpeggiated melody line leads the “Rush”, while a rock solid foundation of hard hitting
drums keep you steady. The melody filters into acidic fringes and a strange voice guides the
traveler to the core of this outer-body experience.
By intertwining a pulsating E-Bass with sharp percussions and a brazen guitar chords,
“Kawai” steers the travels even further out of world’s reach. A whole ensemble of sirens and
vocal fragments warn of imminent rapture. After this, it’ll be hard to return to the mundane.New Release Information
KAWAI (Conga Fever’s Belgian Fries Remix)
Leading the string of three remixes is Mireia’s Conga Fever. Known by now for impeccable
and inspired productions he might just have outdone himself again with this interpretation
of “Kawai”.
Taking cues from Belgian New Beat while sounding unconditionally modern at the same
time, Conga Fever has crafted a bona fide festival anthem. After confidently building up
tension and taking his time in the breakdown, the remix manages to release an incredible
amount of energy. We’ve seen people out of their minds and literally stage dive to this one.
KAWAI (Rigopolar Remix)
A new face and dream cast to the label: Rigopolar aka Menio Brown. The Brooklyn-based
producer and DJ has been on our radar for some years with a string of captivating releases
for Tom Tom Disco, Nazca Records and an upcoming EP on Duro. Especially “Sun Of
Lemuria’s” hypnotic brittleness turned our heads.
Adding a new high point to his repertoire, Rigopolar’s take on “Kawai” is an expansive, dark
journey into the void. Powerful lasers and strobe lights appear to lead the way, emergency
broadcast voices beckon the dancers to the floor. The clobbering bassline and twitching
melody help to reach previously unseen heights.
RUSH (Filburt Remix)
Working his signature slow-burn magic on his remix of “Rush” is Filburt. More than happy to
welcome him back to the label. The O*RS label head, DJ and producer is responsible for
some of our favorite material in the past and does not disappoint with this remix either.
Lush pad sounds oppose salient drumming, slowly tightening the atmosphere while a robotic
voice evokes a melancholic mood. The whole night’s rooted on this fervid bassline and it’ll
carry you into next Monday

David Christie, The Destroyers - Back Fire / 'Lectric Love (PBR Streetgang Reworks)

Salsoul opens the vaults once more to today's top editors and remixers. This incredible 12" sees those PBR Streetgang dudes take the reigns to great effect.

Digging in the vaults for those lesser spotted gems, the PBR crew have tweaked up 2 absolute Tom Moulton related killers here for our enjoyment. Side A is a finely tuned, lovingly fondled version of David Christie's LP cut 'Back Fire' from 1978. A sleazy, almost Euro feeling good timer that does the biz. On the flip, is the Destroyers mammoth 'Lectric Love', another lowdown cruiser of a track, nice cosmic FX and leather vibes for the late night prowl! Both edits are brilliantly done, and with a knowing and respectful nod too, one for the heads right here.

LIFE AND DEATH
02.03.2020

Life and Death’s standout release schedule continues with a special new single from Swedish innovator Mr. Tophat that comes from his album Dusk to Dawn, while label boss DJ Tennis also steps up to add his own spin.

Mr. Tophat always makes a big splash, whether crafting epic, disco-licked house adventures, putting out strictly limited vinyl on his own Junk Yard Connections or collaborating with pop sensation Robyn. Next to an EP with the Swedish star, he also co-wrote and produced two songs on her latest album Honey. His taste and style straddles various musical worlds and means you can never predict his next move. A true original, this year alone he’s put out a magnificent three-part album of house, ambient and leftfield electronics and now aims for the dance floor on this latest massive.

At over 12 minutes long ‘Time Lapse’ is another Mr. Tophat masterclass in musical tension and narrative that is embellished with smart filter tweaks, dreamy vocals sounds and pixelated melodic rain. It is driven along by rubbery and propulsive kick that form an inviting bed from which you can gaze at the cosmic and sinewy chords that constantly shape-shift towards the heavens. This is a track that will have you lost in space and time and utterly enchanted by the majesty of it all.
DJ Tennis then steps up with a remix and is himself having a busy year that sees him release the Redrago album with Red Axes. Here he ups the dance floor clout with crisp percussion and more upright drums. Gorgeous arps will have people reaching for the skies and utterly lost in amongst the stars.
These are two terrific journeys that make for moments of magical dance.

TULLIO DE PISCOPO - FASTNESS / COAGULATION

When we talk about Tullio de Piscopo (Naples, 1946) we’re talking of a living legend of drums, whose career dates back to 1969.

In 1971, tired of commuting from Naples to Milan, he moved to Milan for good, where he joined as a drummer the group of Gianni Basso and Oscar Valdambrini. Shortly thereafter, he recorded “Fastness” and “Coagulation”, his very first single on a 45 under the moniker of “Jujuy”, for Aldo Pagani’s label “Analogy”, with the catalogue number “TRE 0”.

Recorded in 1971, but only relesed in 1973, “Fastness” and “Coagulation” are two fully instrumental tracks for solo drums and percussions, catching the spirit of the very early Tullio De Piscopo, before he became the most requested italian drummer from 1974 on, starting an incredibly successfull career still going on.

Our detective work allowed us to unearth the actual multitracks analog master and we’re about to repress this absolute masterpiece for the very first time on a 12” format, as the original 45 now fetches a three-figures sum on the collectors market.

Twenty years on the heels of their debut with 1999, established cornerstone of the French touch, the duo Philippe ‘Zdar’ Cerboneschi and Hubert ‘Boom Bass’ Blanc-Francard announce their fifth opus Dreems. This album will bring Cassius back to his original house, the one that has always fed their energetic DJ's sets, but was a few faded lately behind the sophisticated pop of previous albums.

Back to basics, then, both in the design and influences, they worked during long sessions spent at the Motorbass’ studio, where the disc was largely imagined. A magical place causing an organic heat into the sound power (with a new subtlety that the initiates will appreciate, the use of a Korg synthesizer, last acquisition of Zdar and Boom Bass).

'Use Your imagination' by 'blue-eyed' Funky rock combo Kokomo is a deep cut from the pre-Disco era of 1975. A time when uptempo R&B and Rock records like this were de rigueur with DJ's and dancers on the dancefloor's of clubs across NYC and all major cities where 'proper' dance music was appreciated and taken seriously. The years leading up to the Disco boom blessed us with some fantastic records like this that carried over into that late 70's era, 'classics' that still got love from the DJ's and were sequenced alongside the hits and anthems of the day. Featuring members of Joe Cocker's Grease Band, Kokomo had a few hits and were widely known, 'Use Your imagination' though, was their nightclub classic, a breezy, jazzy and funky jam that rolls just right and is incredibly rare and sought after on promo 12". Backed here with an exclusive unreleased edit on the flip you know this is an essential if you're a true Disco-head! This repress of the original Columbia promo from 1975 is backed with a brand new re-edit from one of NYC's Disco kings - Mr.K aka Danny Krivit. With almost half a century spent behind the turntables in NYC and beyond he surely understands records like 'Use Your Imagination' intrinsically, he was, after all, there when it all happened! This classic has been legally reissued by Above Board distribution in conjunction with the legal rights holders - Sony Music Entertainment. This high quality repress features original white label Columbia label Disco 12" artwork and has been remastered from Sony's original sources by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK.

Melvo Baptiste - Glitterbox - Pump the Boogie!

Melvo Baptiste steps up to mix his second Glitterbox compilation, 'Pump The Boogie!', featuring the upfront disco heat that has been setting off the dancefloor all summer at Glitterbox parties in New York, Amsterdam, London and Ibiza. A contender for the hottest party on earth, this Glitterbox season saw record numbers through the doors at Hï Ibiza, with Melvo himself playing his first headline sets in the club's main room, the Theatre. 'Pump The Boogie!' reflects the sounds of the Theatre, moving from the joyful 80s and 90s sounds of The Emotions 'Turn It Out' and Kathy Brown 'I Appreciate' through modernised classics like Sister Sledge 'Got To Love Somebody' remixed for 2018 by disco maestro Dimitri From Paris. More so than ever this edition has a heavy focus on the latest upbeat dancefloor killers from the last 12 months, like Selace 'So Hooked On Your Lovin'' (Mousse T.'s Extended Disco Shizzle) and Gershon Jackson presents Reset Preset 'Hands Together' (House of Omni Hands Together Extended Club Mix), the exceptional new release from the Glitterbox imprint.

Demonstrating what Glitterbox does best, 'Pump The Boogie!' explores authentic dance music enhanced by live instrumentation. Mighty Mouse 'The Spirit', another Glitterbox release, uses percussion and brass blasts to build energy, DJ Mes 'Da Change' (Miguel Migs Salty Rub) carries a captivating guitar hook and Paradise Express 'Dance' (Special 12' Disco Mix) features the unmistakeable backing of a full disco band. The album's namesake 'Pump The Boogie' (Basstoy Boogie Mix) by Mark Picchiotti goes full throttle with chest-pounding groove, strings and earworm vocal. Melvo's 'Pump The Boogie!' beckons you to the dancefloor once again with a truly stomping, timeless compilation.

The second volume from the “all eighties everything” North of Loreto reedits series sets it off with a 1983 Italian release, a perfect balance of Italo Disco and US boogie influences, with original production by Claudio Donato; this NoLo edit brings out the track’s soulful side and keeps the instrumental grooves alive bouncing back and forth from the two OG 12” versions.

On the B-side we find a massive European banger from the classic “Genie” album, the last effort from the infamous and illustrious BB&Q Band; Bassi re-edits the track in pure 80s megamix flavor, with lots of chops, reverse effects and exteded loops from the original dance version.

The last cut is a Don Was production with drum machine hits and hypnotic balearic grooves that leads us to an uncertain but fascinating territory. This exclusive version is super-extended and keeps the dub vibes throughout its lenght, slow but groovy as hell!

Arthur Adams - Fight for your rights/Sure is funky down here

Hitting hard like a hammer we have unearthed the fist pumping fight for you rights power SWAM 45 like no other. Sung and performed by legendary soul and blues artist Arthur Adams. The session was recorded sometime between 1969 & 1971 and fuelled by discontent amongst young and old black Americans for a consistent lack of equal rights and suppression across the U.S.A. Backing Arthur Adams on the track were none other than some of The Crusaders. Joe Sample (Keyboards) Stix Hooper (Drums) Wilton Felder (Bass) and Al Versova (Guitar). Somehow this studio reel was sent to a West Coast a&r person for a view to public release. We are unsure why the tracks got over looked, but we are happy to have them for our 50th release.
A-"Fight for you rights" could stand toe to toe with Bobby Bland,Joe Tex and Sebastian Williams and many other hard hitting artists who have been revered on the soul scene for the past 50 years. Its hits hard with its message but musically punches you across the dance floor with its driving drums and guitar licks. Mastered from the original reels we made sure each element was on point for that 45 vinyl release. B-Sure is funky down here" is exactly what it says on the tin! A fast paced down home style funk instrumental, but what we love is it lets rip half way through with a ferocious drum break and bass line breakdown. So in keeping with its 1971 production.

Vox Populi! - Magiques Creations

Following the success of last years reissue of Vox Populi!'s Aither, Emotional Rescue returns to the French / Persian band with the first of two albums selected from their considerable archive. First, their experiments between 1984 and 1989 in what are essentially pre-Aither sessions, Magiques Creations is in essence, an album of the imagination. Self-labeled as an ethno-industrial project, Vox Populi!'s recordings act as a document of the bridge between their earlier industrial influenced output through to a more cerebral, ethnic oeuvre. The collection highlights the movement through 1985's Myscitismes and 1987's Half Dead Ganja Music towards Aither, with a darker, edgier sound mixed with increasingly lighter, ethereal touches.
On pieces like Joue Joue, Miss October and Ankaboot the synergy is apparent. Mithra's vocals align with organ and synthesiser to set gothic-noir scenes, while the heavy kick of Tchi Tchi Vox and Jube Man, with sax and distortion clearly pre-dating Aither, propel to the more experimental DJs. Against this Nazareman, Bedroud and Deltangui explore the increasily ethno side of the band. As the album unfolds however, it's not about single pieces, but a cohesive whole and the process and flow. Ethnic influences float around rhythm box, as hand percussion, guitar, tar and tapes warm the mind and lilting vocals seep inside. The collective nature of the band's recording is witnessed, but the pieces work together perfectly. The process of making music, constantly evolving a sound of their own has left a trove of music to examine. Working closely with Axel and Mithra some thirty years later brings out it's own vibrations.

Panorama Channel & Pletnev - Blavatsky EP

They’ve been moving in the same circles and bouncing off the same vibe cosmology for years. But this is the first time Lithuanian Pletnev and Russians Panorama Channel have ever officially collaborated. And they’re doing it right here on Biologic.
Three originals, two remixes, one consistent immersive vibe that envelops you from the start and builds in intensity; this is how it all goes down…
‘Blavatsky’ takes us on a theosophical trip. All mid tempos and woozy psychedelics weaving, layering, twisting and taking sudden detours, not only does it sets the scene for what’s to follow but it’s flipped by a sublime remix from You’re Me’s Yu Su who whips up an ageless nod to the legacy of Two Lone Swordsmen.
‘Eiffel Tower Syndrome’ follows. Intense, edgy, and prone to paranoid flurries over a heavy driving beat; unlike its medical namesake this will not result in disappointment. And neither will Simple Symmetry’s remix. Another thoughtful remix pairing from Biologic, here the Moscow brothers provide a flip that’s as similarly ageless as Yu Su’s; slower, heavier and rife with references, this one recalls the influence and energy of a young Coldcut when they first got fully paid.
Finally this pop-up Baltic/Slavic threesome end the release with the heaviest, most intense tune of the set. ‘Black Market Weekdays’ is a hot slab of rolling technoid drama with more eye-raising surprises than a truck load of knock-off DVDs and more weight than a tonne of counterfeit Rolexes. Murky, mean and fully forward-focussed, let’s hot Pletnev and Panorama Channel find time to join forces again in the future…

Todh Teri - Deep In India Vol.6

Deep in India Volume 6 is probably the most intense release by live electronic artist & Indian disco edit king Todh Teri. It's a definite milestone in his ongoing endeavour of releasing and (most importantly) representing mysterious disco & house edits - from the Indian silver screen - on vinyl. He immediately gets down to business with Sampadan 18 as it swoons you down to disco town, providing you quintessential 80s thunder & lightning for competitive street dancing.

In Sampadan 19, he passes the remix baton to AAGUU (his first release), who further intensifies the dance off with a trippy arpeggiator induced frenzy. Sampadan 20 is a must have house tool to instantly ignite peak moments on the dancefloor, with it's gliding riffs, South Indian disco chants, & epic instrumental crescendos.
And finally, Sampadan 21 rounds off the energy with a cumbia tinged acid rework - straightfrom the Bollywood silver screen of the 60s.

So this fall & winter, if you are looking for some disco wool ... Todh Teri will get your recordbags full.

ADESSE VERSIONS - Walrus Edits

After a very limited release to a handful of stores in 2018, Adesse Versions makes another small pressing of Walrus Edits available. Featuring vinyl-only cuts of a true Los Angeles funk pioneer, often overlooked due to his infamous love songs. Starting with the electronic boogie of 'Passion', one of the tightest and most under-rated funk gems of the 1980s. This was made specially for Adesse's last Boiler Room show and became his most requested and sought after edit. The B-side takes things in a completely different direction, with the raw deep-house grime of 'Rivers' and the orchestral almost Philip Glass-esque 'Off The Man'.

Secretsundaze/Ge Ology - Secretsundaze Edits 001

LP pressed on 140g Vinyl 12".

'Secretsundaze' are proud to unleash the first release of a new re-edit series. The duo of 'James Priestley' & 'Giles Smith' offer up their own version of something close to their hearts whilst inviting some of their favourite artists to present a re-work of their choice.

For the first in the series, Secretsundaze head into deep, cosmic, spiritual territory reworking a version of Ghana Nila.
Emanating from a Californian ashram towards the end of 2000's and never released on vinyl before, this heavily percussive, jazz organ, powerful choir and lead vocal number gets a subtle, positive, respectful and uplifting rework with just enough oomph for the floor.

NYC's Ge-ology steps up to re-flip a late-70's infectious uptempo party starting disco groover. Killing heavy flute soloing, sick strings and good times vocals get the Geo extended intro and DJ-friendly workout, as only he knows how.

Originally a 4-minute album-track! This is a loving rework aimed purely to Stomp your Feet!

Jamiroquai - Cosmic Girl (Dimitri From Paris Remixes)

French Disco maestro Dimitri From Paris' Le Edits imprint is back to bring you only the finest, most beautifully executed and lovingly reworked classics from the four corners of the discotheque dance-floor. Following on from the previous highly sought after and collectible releases on the label, Dimitri is back once more and he's proving that the age old adage that 'quality over quantity' is what really counts! For this release, of course, he is back using only the finest materials available, sourced from multiple countries across the globe, as well as having access to the original master tapes, top shelf engineering and mastering.

London's very own Jazz-Funk superstars Jamiroquai land themselves under Dim's gaze this time around with 2 brand new and absolutely stellar reworkings of their top 10 1996 hit 'Cosmic Girl', bringing us a beautiful extended Disco mix backed with a sumptuous dub version. A truly incredible record in it's own right, Dimitri has excelled in pushing 'Cosmic Girl' into the stratosphere even further with these beautifully executed Disco versions. As always, unfettered access to the master tapes, and with a deep deep understanding and reverence for the source material, these mixes are something totally fresh and exciting. Perhaps not the most obvious choice for a remix or an edit, Jamiroquai made no qualms about their allegiance to the Funk, the Soul, the Disco and the Jazz in their lives, which in turn naturally fed into their musical output. Upon listening to the groups output one can certainly hear the spirits of the Mizzell Brothers, of Gil Scott-Heron, Chic, Donald Byrd and many others, all filtered via Jay Kay and his group's unique approach. This is something Dimitri understands very well and it shines through in these wondrous reworks. Yet another stunning benchmark in a career spanning almost 3 decades, these latest offerings from the DFP lab rightfully place Dimitri up there with the best of the best - we're sure you'd all agree that Le Edits still brings a little chic to the music effortlessly!

Simply put, only the finest Disco reworks are released on Le Edits. Special versions of classics and rarer than rare tracks, all lovingly re-touched and mixed from the reels and master tapes each time, fully sanctioned and created in conjunction with the artists, rights holders and Above Board Distribution. 100% official and essential. This is no 'under the counter' operation, Le Edit is here to bring back some quality and class to the re-edit game by doing things, once and for all, properly and respectfully. No re-press guaranteed. Utilising the highest end tip-on heavy duty sleeves, and outer protective sleeves, pressed onto 100% virgin vinyl. These new mixes have been legitimately commissioned and will not be available digitally. This product cost 4 times as much to produce than your average Disco edit 12’’ because Le Edits believe in quality first and foremost. You really haven't heard these tracks like this before! A truly collectible and desirable item indeed.

Field Of Dreams - Nothing Is Perfect

FIELD OF DREAMS hark back to early 90's cross-pollination / indie-dance sounds with a heavyweight proto prog banger, already causing much mayhem.

MIND FAIR and sir ANDREW WEATHERALL are drafted in to flesh out the beast within, and do so with aplomb...

500 hand-sprayed, recycled sleeve copies (each individual) - first come first served...

Over the past year or so Field Of Dreams have been gaining support from many of the heavy hitters on the scene without actually having any music released.

Their huge remix of Les Crocodiles', 'La Nuit Des Tropiques' being a case in point.
That's now been remedied with their recent releases on Pleasure Unit being quickly followed by this monster!

Released on their own label and remixed expertly by one of those heavy hitters, Mr Andrew Weatherall, and the hugely talented Mind Fair, this is set to explode.
The Original Vocal mix tips its hat to that 90's indie, progressive dance championed by the Guvnor back then, featuring a heavy breakbeat, huge bassline, dub pianos and panpipes!
Then there/'s the vocalist, Mr Bradley, who sounds, uncannily, like a certain Mr Lydon which may throw some but works a treat.

Strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.

500. Numbered and hand sprayed recycled sleeves (so each copy individual !)
