Half Baked have had a strong year with releases from Sakro, Shonky, John Dimas, and SIT, but now they present something a little more mysterious from db jam.
While the name may be unfamiliar, you get the impression this is an inside job from the Half Baked family, and the sound certainly fits right in on the label. The A side track, "I Met A Leprechaun In A Russian Forest" locks down one of those impossibly smooth house grooves Half Baked's identity is built on, and then drapes that groove in the finest silken pad sounds.

What makes the track stand out is the playful cuts and samples pinging around in the mix, adding to the jam notion of the record. "He Told Me Bullshit" occupies the same sound world but heads in a slightly darker direction, which Arno then refigures into a shivering broken techno refrain suited to more spaced out moments in the cut and thrust of the party.

The title track "Making Chords" can be appropriately described as nothing less than an addictive, bona fide banger that will instantaneously hook its end user after one listen. From the beginning Kepler. sets the pace with a smooth, sexy bass line that will command your attention and aggressively compel any crowd to start dancing. This passionate production pushes its agenda with a rumbling tempo, dynamic drums, and intriguing vocals that are well worth repeating. Laced with clever sounding samples and purposeful piano licks, "Making Chords" is made for anyone and everyone.
The second offering, "Wire" is a quirky, fun departure that gives insight to Kepler's wide range. This spooky sounding track is characterized by its off-beat rhythm, saturating bass tones and curious sounding signals that slide up and down while continually building momentum. As the "Wire" progresses, one can't help but to take note of how its unpredictable nature is dictated in such a well-organized manner. Very, very interesting.

Until recently, the legendary Ricardo Villalobos was the only one to remix acclaimed Norwegian folk singer Mari Kvien Brunvoll. Ricardo s -Celestial remix- of the track -Everywhere you go-, has been widely played in the underground music scene this year. The Italian Dj,Producer Marco Faraone, who s music has also made it into labels like Desolat, All inn and Moon Harbour, loved Mari s voice, and decided with his friend Piegaja, to Remix a different song called > Something Inside<, just for fun, himself and in his own DJ sets. Black Label Series 03 on Banoffee Pies Records welcomes new additions to the fold with another low slung collection of minimal house and breaks. Opening with patient mystery the label debut from Monotronique delivers 118 bpm sample heavy 'Baggage With A Secret'. Nicely warmed, the A2 turns for the floor with Freerotation resident Tom Ellis in control on 'Third Morning', a groovy roller with glitched vocal loops. The curveball of this release comes on the B1 with a garage inspired high tempo d&b track, '23 Ghettobee' from Filip Szostak - One to cool or shake the dance. The B2 invites Lyssna Records own Flord King with another micro gem for the head bopping late nights on 'Shanti'. Together the four tracks investigating different moods with a similar style. BP X

DUNGEON MEAT are back with the 2nd instalment of their Weapons Of Ass Destruction series featuring another 3 killer club cuts ready to detonate any dance floor . Featuring Honey Dijon's sleazy house jam sounding like the love child of Terry Francis and Derrick Carter while Desert Sound Colony comes in hard with a futuristic speaker freaker that will heavily wobble the bassbins and people's chins with it's killer bass line .... Then to round off the EP we have Slapfunk's Danielle Temperilli dropping a sleazy UK Garage stepper that pushes the sound further into the future and is sure to get those gun fingers firing all over the dance floor and a few rewinds here and there . Once again Dungeon Meat give the DJ's plenty of beef for their bag and deliver another chunky selection that will surely do the damage .

Eliaz is on his second EP ever and for 3n0 we chose three tracks, two of recent production and an older one.
Eliaz started making Lizergid in 2013, then it was forgotten and later finished in 2015. This was in his pre-hardware period, so the track was made using only Ableton and a midi keyboard. The other 2 tracks are brand new and differ in style a little bit because of this 4 year gap, but still have that Eliaz drum & acid drive. They were made mostly on hardware equipment such drum machines Roland TR8 and Korg ER-1, synths Minilogue, Minitaur, MAM MB33 Retro and Korg Volca FM.

Rich NxT returns to FUSE to open June with his latest EP, ‘The Swish Cheese’.

A quintessential member of the FUSE family since its formation, longstanding resident label favourite Rich NxT may well currently be in one of his finest periods of musical output to date. With recent releases and remixes via the likes of Moxy Muzik, S .A.S.H. and his own NxT Records, and fresh from his stand out remix of Planetary Notions head honcho Joe Rolét on Infuse, the London-
based DJ, producer and label boss now returns to his home imprint of FUSE in emphatic fashion to deliver three fresh original productions in the form of his ‘The Swish Cheese’ EP.

A-side and title cut ‘Swish Cheese’ is a low-slung effort that layers rumbling sub-bass and squelchy stabs beneath icy snares to reveal a twisting and hypnotic opener, whilst on the flip ‘Your Time’ welcomes rich organic percussion arrangements, soft chords amongst tripped-out vocal snippets and further warping basslines. To close, the slick ‘Heaven Base’ shapes up the package with authority as swinging drum grooves meet soaring vocals and arpeggiated synths lines, offering up yet more trademark no-nonsense Rich NxT sonics via the ever-impressing London imprint.

Fast zwei Jahre ist es her, dass Superpitcher sein gleichermaßen wahnwitziges wie meisterhaftes Album - Kilimanjaro' veröffentlicht hat: im Club eine halbe Ewigkeit, doch nur ein Katzensprung im Kosmos des Aksel Schaufler, dessen idiosynkratische Mixtur aus sehnsuchtsvoller Romantik und hedonistischem Unsinn immer wieder durch die Zeitlosigkeit von Thema und Sound verblüfft. So verwundert es nicht, dass - Kilimanjaro' auch als Gesamtkonzept geehrt wurde, etwa durch den Qwartz Award 2012 für das beste Album.

Since its inception in 2019, Thinc have catapulted onto Australia's minimal scene offering followers a conglomeration of prodigious recordings and premium tracks released from around the world. Moving onto the next chapter of their journey, this imprint looks to rattle cages with their first and highly anticipated vinyl only release.

THC001 presents a 4 track EP featuring 3 tremendous groovers from Bucharest-based artist Direkt and includes a mind-warping remix from Vincentiulian. The record opens with 'Lagrange Point', presenting a warm and spacey roller. 'Ephemeris' follows suit with Direkt’s punchy beats and seeping harmonic flow. On the B-side, Vincentiulian’s interpretation of Lagrange Point takes you through a hypnotic voyage, stripping the track down to its bones and adding his signature genius touch. To finish off this EP, Direkt's creative ability turns to a darker corner in 'Nova', featuring a monster bassline accompanied by eerie pads and heavy hats.

A-SIDE
A weightless odyssey in space. The EPs A-side ‘Originality’, with its slightly murky and stargazing signature cadence from Cosmjn, brings the detailed compositions and soundscaping to the center stage of the EP.

B-SIDE
With a beat that courses through the continuity of an unknown provenance, The B-side reveals 'Absolute' like a welcomed memento with monochrome texture of space. The EP’s more mercurial moments take on greater meanings with ‘Preamps’ and delivers knee-weakening rhythms, momentarily overflowing with mixed feelings and awareness.

The title track NEPTUN is filled with creaky, deep dub elements while the Exercise One remix of LEISEWEISE surprises with crispy sounds and an odd but beautiful ending. Both tracks showcase the artist talents: straight-forward technoid beats and lovely melodic structures.
As a part of Berlins after-hours club and art space SISYPHOS, the label SISYPHON is a platformfor musicians / producers and combines the hedonistic wild-life of the club and the impulsive sets of its resident and guest Djs. SISYPHOS reflects the DIY principles and alternative lifestyles of the owners, team members and artists who created and continue to re-invent the club.

Tom Ellis delivers an incredible 4 track EP on this the latest instalment on the Dokutoku imprint. The British multi instrumentalist has supplied a delightfully diverse release with shades of house, minimal and techno all tied together with his trademark jazzy textures.

Three years after his latest solo drop on TPG, Rupert Marnie is back with a vengeance. Punching in with a quartet of high-efficiency jams tailored to whip a frenzy amongst heavenly dancers and murky basement revellers, the Hamburg-based producer clears a new path towards utopian electronics yonder through another fine incarnation of his tricksy assemblages of laid-back Venusian house, breaks-laden ambient scapes and jazzed-up hi-tech heroics.
Wading deep in swampy acid grounds, 'Back' fires first with its liquid alloy of 303-marinated salvos, warped synth helixes and opaque harmonics, sure to have you levitating in a weird trance-y state of mind right away. A further hypnotic slab of deep diving techno, A2 'Runciter' flexes the verbed-out sub lines, muscular breaks and train-like groove whilst setting the bleep'o-meter to eleven. A feast of '90s infused carefreeness that shall rejoice both textbook old-school heads, spongy-bodied gymnasts and stranded aliens alike.
Flip it over and here's 'I.D.E.' - a repolished filtered-house, Roulé-style delight where handsomely FX-adulterated keys play footsie with classic Chi-town shuffling patterns and laser battle sounds to keep you 100% committed to the groove - from your dancing shoes to your melting brainpan. Final transition comes with the Latin rhythms of '6AM Catwalk', a straight out addictive slice of gently wasted after material, custom-cut to accompany you in your post-party morning routine as the sun caresses the nape of your gauzy, vampiric neck. Forget the fake tan, Rupert's toasty chuggers have you covered.

Limited to 200 copies, this release is the fifth and final ep of the 5 x 12" from the Thomas Brinkmann Retrospektiv 5xlp box set. The 5 individual 12" will be released through 2018/19. Thomas Brinkmann is one of the great producers of Techno music and modern dance music. He initially gained notoriety in the experimental electronic music and Techno community for his full-length 'variations' of material by Wolfgang Voigt under his Mike Ink moniker, and Richie Hawtin. The variations were made by playback of the original artist records on a turntable of Brinkmann's design, which has two tone arms with separate outputs for left and right channels. The turntables were then pitched down from 33rpm to 27rpm and the results recorded and mixed. Both Voigt and Hawtin were sufficiently impressed they released the results on their own labels. Since then Thomas Brinkmann has produced some all-time classic dance tracks, many of which are collected here in what is a personal selection by Thomas Brinkmann himself. There are unreleased tracks, different versions, and tracks that have never been released on vinyl.

After a successfull first record Underground Town is back for their 2nd release just in time for the kick-off of their 4th Season of events in the top of the Swiss Alps.

Mysterious Artist delivers a serious bomb for the first track of this record. A track that makes you travel in space with groove and a fine shower of synths. Lost.act makes his first appearance in the label with a powerful minimalistic and deep trip.

Label head Giorgio Maulini comes back with some break beats & crazy synths changing the dynamic and giving this record a clever complexity with various styles. Last but not least another delicious piece by Cesar Martinez full of groove and swinging hats.

Vor 20 Jahren startete Chloé Thévenin ihre Karriere mit Mixer und
Plattenspieler, bereits 1999 zählte sie zur Speerspitze der Pariser
Techno-Szene. Seitdem kennt man Chloé als technisch versierte und
groovig agierende DJ mit Vorliebe für Deep House und Minimal. In der
französischen Kapitale sind besonders die Batofar-Residency und PulpNächte im Rex in Erinnerung geblieben. Ihre Skills präsentierte sie einem
größeren Publikum auf Mix-CDs wie "I Hate Dancing" (2004) oder "Live
At Robert Johnson" (2008). Hinzu kamen regelmäßig eigene
Produktionen, die sie auf über einem Dutzend 12_ÇÖ_ÇÖes
veröffentlichte. Daneben brachte Chloé mit "The Waiting Room" (2007)
und "One In Other" (2010) auch zwei Großformate heraus. Dass es bis
zur Fertigstellung ihres dritten Langspielers sieben Jahre gedauert hat,
erklärt sich für Chloé durch die Wechselfälle des Lebens. Aufgrund
spannender Kollaborationsarbeiten und verschiedener
Kompositionsaufträge für Filme und Installationen blieb ihr zu wenig Zeit
für die Albumproduktion. Außerdem gründete sie mit Lumière Noire ein
eigenes Label, auf dem "Endless Revisions" als eines der ersten Werke
erscheint. Dieses gleicht einem elektroakustischen Soundabenteuer und
hat mit Tanzmusik nichts am Hut. Zwar mäandern immer mal wieder
satte Beats durch die Tracks, aber eben nur als ein Element unter vielen
anderen. Ein Album für den kontemplativen Hörgenuss

After the original comes the remix and after the album the remix ep: 5 producers take on their favorite
tracks from Benjamin Fröhlich's debut album "Amiata". First up is Panoramabar resident Massimiliano
Pagliara. Fresh off from delivering his latest album for Live at Robert Johnson, Massimilaliano strikes a
raving disco remix for "The Big Sun" in the best Metro Aera and Bahlihu tradition and lets no eyes dry
and no foot on the ground. Rhode & Brown of Munich turn "Tivoli" into a choral house affair for late
nights and early mornings, while Good Timin' Boss Jex Opolis, who just released his extraterrestrial
"Earth Boy" EP on Dekmantel, funks and speeds up "Secret Alphabet" for maximum dancefloor
pleasure. Next up is Leipzig's Panthera Krause and co-owner of the ever growing Riotvan label, on
which he just released the summer anthem "Genki Girl". Panthera Krause comes up with a heart
warming electro version of "Memory FM". Last but not least is rising star Cornelius Doctor from Lyon,
who is turning heads at the moment with his partner Tushen Rai and the amazing Hard Fist label. The
Doctor slices and dices "Secret Alphabet" into a chuggy acid monster.

Connecting the Dots between Frankfurt and Offenbach.

The second series of Jacks Tracks VA Vol 2 presents 4 distinctively different tracks from both established and upcoming talent. First up on the A side is Alex Arnout from Dogmatik Records with Hypersomnia, which is a tough rolling number with haunting subtle keys laid over the top. Then A2, the talented Tuccillo from Unblock with his track Another Day brings a deep skippy house vibe with some cool vocal snippets over the top driven by its baseline. On the B side are more Tech House flavours and Fabric resident legend Terry Francis presents Jua which is a timeless House number previously unreleased , now signed and ready for an official vinyl release. Last but not least, young new talent Kilian Vega with Ardour, a groovy infectious rolling underground house vibe. In short, an EP with 4 strong individual tracks from sincere and dedicated music makers.

A true Italian veteran makes his debut on Slow Life, Alex Neri. After hundreds of releases and remixes, he has packed all these years of inspiring music in a well rounded EP of deep, fresh and
timeless tracks.

Gilles Aiken is not short of space in which to express his distinctive ideas about fusing dancefloor minimalism with a global palette. While his more streamlined house and techno fare is generally released under his Edward alias, Desert Sky has carried some of his wilder ideas with stunning results. The first few releases came shrouded in mystery on a self-titled label, but since then Desert Sky has landed on Assemble Music and Baby Ford's iconic PAL SL. Aiken returns to the latter now with a hefty album project that gives Desert Sky the appropriate room to breathe, and Aiken sounds free spirited and expressive through every inch of tumbling percussion, deft handclaps, spooked out textures and more besides. It's a heady trip through dusty samples configured in fresh, invigorating ways, ranking among the strongest artistic statements Aiken has made to date thanks to its worldly inspiration and otherworldly end results.

!K7 reintroduce their DJ-Kicks 12' series and with it, the old tradition of releasing original material exclusively premiered through their globally lauded mix series alongside a selection of remixes hand picked by the compiling artist.
First up to re-establish the tradition is John Talabot who's swooning and balmy contribution to the DJ-Kicks mix series originally saw the light of day in November 2013 - an offering Derek Miller of RA deemed 'quite possibly the commercial mix of the year''.Now, in Fabruary 2015 Talabot curates an assemblage of mighty remixers including Melchoir Productions Ltd, Oskar Offermann and Mistakes Are Ok in the long awaited presentation of 'Without You'. True to Talabot's canon it's a deeply moving meld of lucent builds and gently mournful melodies that are completely impossible to resist.

MINIM Records is back in true fashion, following 4 smashing Various Artist releases MINIM brings us their first EP from the Romanian duo LOy with a remix from another Romanian mastermind Clarkent. Around You EP a 4 track collection of superb works that blends effortlessly between minimal, deep house, and dub techno, with its impeccably crafted basslines, crisp groovy drums and ethereal muted pads, really a brain-bender that hits all the right spots for those unique dance floor moments and uncompromised dj sets. And as always vinyl only.
