part 1 of 2 from the vinyl series from the 2010 winter music conference in miami !!!

Exclusive Record Store Day 2014. Special hand-picked selection of early singles as well as previously unreleased on vinyl tracks by Alexander Robotnick (aka Maurizio Dami). The first single on the record is "I Wanna Believe" which was released under the moniker Gina & The Flexix in 1985 on the legendary Fuzz Dance label (an Italo Disco sublabel of Materiali Sonori). It is a rare 12" single featuring a dance-floor stomping beat, melodic synth leads and female vocals. The other single on the compilation is the 7" version of "C'est La Vie" which was released in 1987. Most of the LP is comprised of tracks recorded from 1982-1984 which have only been released on CD in 2003 on the "Rare Robotnicks" compilation (except one track from 2005's "Krypta 1982" and one other track culled from "Robotnick Archives"). The exclusive to vinyl tracks were hand-selected and display a diverse and ever-changing sound palette yet maintaining the unique and unmistakable Alexander Robotnick style which we have all loved through the years. For fans of classic Italo disco. Presented on high-quality 180gram tri-color transparent blue/purple colored vinyl.

Medical Records presents two exclusive releases. Compilation of very rare and sought after A + B sides (plus 2 more hand-selected tracks) of 3 Italo Disco iconic 12" singles that were originally released on the legendary Fuzz Dance label (a sublabel of Materiali Sonori). The first single needs no introduction to lovers of disco. Trophy "Slow Flight" (vocal + instrumental versions) was released in 1982. A very hard-hitting percussive track with very interesting production that is quite gritty yet smooth with it's vocoded vocals and synth melodies. The second single which is probably the most rare is Zed "Plastic Love" vocal + instrumental versions that were released in 1983. Sultry female vocals and pulsing electro sequences make these two versions absolutely essential. Clocking in at the third position on both sides are the vocal and instrumental versions of "Hesitation" by Mya & The Mirror which is a production by Alexander Robotnick (Maurizio Dami) with female vocals. Also included as bonus tracks at the end of side A and B are Mon Bijou's "Just a Lover" and Naif Orchestra's "Check Out Five". For fans of classic and the synthy side of Italo Disco (i.e. Casco, Sun La Shan, Amin Peck, etc). Presented on high-quality 180gram striped "Italian Flag" colored vinyl. Limited Edition.

Munich's JALLAClub has been going on for ten consecutive years now.
World music is what connected DJs Rupen Gehrke and Dimitri Voulgarakis when they
thought about putting on a smart party in an extraordinary location at Bavaria's capital -
the National Museum of Ethnology. Both of them need music as a daily diet and after
the first two parties their enthusiastic audience couldn't wait for the next one to happen.
Munich was getting into their thing: Crossing cultural boundaries and bridging

elektronischen Balladen Requiem For A Day und The Last Call (philosophische
Annäherung an Liebe, Leben und Tod) und die Beschäftigung mit dem ewigen
Geschlechterkampf (Eve - The Painmachine) runden diese - Tour De Force' durch
das Leben ab. Komplexe Beats, erhabene Soundscapes & Choräle gepaart mit
vielschichtigen Sequenzen, die das Faszinosum Geburt, Leben, Tod zu einem
Soundtrack - am Puls der Zeit' machen und in ihren Bann ziehen. Die Trilogie findet

They turned on their analog synths and drum machines, their space effects and neon lights, and fell into an electronic trance which went on and on like a twisted dream. Amazing Italo Disco anthem! Very obscure early Italo release previously released on the Italo Disco label Il discotto.

In Paradisum's 11th offering comes from Low Jack, who returns to the label after his collaboration with Qoso. It's a heavy EP of dense, apocalyptic sounds from the fast rising French DJ and producer that often churns along at a very predatory sub-100bpm.



Grainy, dusty, dirty and psychedelic, title track 'Flashes' is a prickly concoction for sure. The kicks drag below, white noise patterns emerge above and way off in the distance massive industrial machines seem to be working in a heavy storm. 'Your Soul' has more light in it thanks to the mellow melodies, but stormy winds still percolate in the background and the spread-apart kicks still trudge with a dark and heavy heart.



'Don't U Know' is another monster full of coarse analogue sounds, whirring and broken machines and stomping kicks. It's terrifyingly industrial stuff that will blow your mind ion the right darkened dancefloor. 'Sweet Cheater' sounds like a fruit machine gone bad, with layers of grim and dirt and cowbells and kicks all piled on top of each other into a patchwork of sound so tightly packed its impossible to ignore. Frankly, nasty noise never sounded so good!

Release Sustain can boast an impressive catalogue with the likes of Fred P, Safeword and Alland Byallo having put material out on the label. Here they welcome back Himan to the imprint, while welcoming newcomer Temme Teje who recently featured on Cocoon's 'M' compilation in 2013.

Kicking things off is the original mix of Potive from Temma-Teje, a classically deep track built upon resonant chords, an atmospheric, heavily reverberated organ hook and spoken word vocal lines.

The record puts its focus on the groove for the majority of the piece, while the latter half sees additional melodic elements eased in to up the energy. Rush Hour's Tevo Howard steps up to remix 'Potive' next, taking all the beauty of the original mix with the organ and shimmering chords, but instilling an underlying grit through analogue drums
and a stuttering acidic bass hook to truly stamp his unique mark on the composition.
On the B-Side we have the original mix of 'In My Mind' up first, from Release Sustain regular Himan.

The Portuguese Cocoon Recordings artist treats us to his signature dubby house vibe again here, bringing a bumpy sub-driven hook the forefront alongside refined stripped percussion, while spaced out chord stabs and an expansive atmosphere build the bigger picture by subtly lingering throughout the cut.

To close Dolly / Ostgut Ton artist Basic Soul Unit delivers a gritty interpretation of 'In My Mind', the Canadian producer opts from rumbling low-end, ethereal pads and earth-shattering off-kilter rhythms, while arpeggiated synths creep into the closing stages and truly round off this package as a heavy hitter.

Gabi DelGado ist als einer der Pioniere deutscher Techno- und Electromusik anzusehen und sorgte zusammen mit Robert Görl in der 1978 gegründeten Formation DAF (Deutsch amerikanische Freundschaft) für nationales und internationales Aufsehen.
1995 gründete er zusammen mit dem Schauspieler und Musiker Wotan Wilke-Möhring das Projekt DAF/DOS.
