Amine Edge & DANCE bring their soulful sound to Hot Creations with their uplifting new release ‘It Was’ featuring Pershard Owens backed by a remix from Shermanology. Maintaining a constant presence at the top of the charts, with an impressive catalogue boasting releases on esteemed labels such as Defected, Nervous Records and their very own CUFF imprint, French duo Amine Edge & DANCE have solidified themselves as frontrunners when it comes to the modern house landscape. Up next, their partnership takes them to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' Hot Creations imprint for the first time with their latest single 'It Was' featuring Pershard Owens, with brother-sister duo Shermanology on hand on remix duties to bring the heat.

‘It Was’ opens with rich piano chords, led by luscious melodies, Pershard’s tender vocals and bright keys crafting a delightful serving of summer house grooves before Shermanology flips the track shifting the focus onto pulsing drum hits and playful rhythms full of energy, perfectly crafted for open-air dance floors.

Brazilian artist Bruno Furlan is the next to make his mark on the famed Hot Creations imprint. The two-track release, The Speakers Pump Like This, is set to bring the heat and make serious waves on dancefloors this year.

Title track The Speakers Pump Like This transports you straight to the club, with its peak-time pace, sonic synth stabs and prominent vocal cuts. On the flip, Moving gets to work with a sharp kick-drum and infectious vocals, as subtle builds and drops move throughout the track, whilst retaining the solid, rolling groove.

Hailing from the diverse and electric city of Sao Paulo in Brazil, Bruno Furlan started his DJ career while still a teenager and quickly became a highlight in the Brazilian electronic music scene, capturing the attention of artists such as Claude VonStroke, Chris Lake, Solardo, Green Velvet and Amine Edge & Dance. Always driven by a great love for his art, Bruno has created his own unique way of approaching music production, resulting in a standout discography and performances throughout the world. ‘Cranes In The Sky,’ was originally written by Beyonce’s baby sister Solange alongside Raphael Saadiq, for her album back in 2016 that was cited by Rolling Stone as one of the most important 500 records of all time. The words exploring a fearless journey inward, pulling up the root of a problem, and the first glimpse of blue sky after the storm has passed.

Fast forward to 2022 - Ross Allen and Andy Thompson’s Foundation Music Productions enlist the expertise of Baltimore club legend, Dj Oji, together with Tracy Hamlin (Pieces Of A Dream), to take Solange’s breakout delivery to the dancefloor. Soulful vocals will heal you, while the mid-tempo moments will mellow the masses, and UK Funky grooves will keep the shuffle moving along way into the early hours. Fabio Santos is a DJ and producer from Rotterdam whose sound is firmly connected to the underground. With inspiration from labels such as Dungeon Meat and Slapfunk Records, his music and sets combine raw rhythms, rolling basslines and a stripped-back energy that reflects the essence of the scene. Fabio approaches DJing with a focus on flow and atmosphere, building tension and release in a way that keeps crowds engaged from start to finish. His style is direct, uncompromising and always aimed at serving the dancefloor.

Introducing twelve.to.zero, the new sub-label by black.round.twelve - an independent record store, record label and distributor based in Berlin. After releasing Ricardo Villalobos and Pirvu on its mother label, the sub-label adheres to the same principles of releasing highly polished, minimal music but now expanding its distribution to a broader market by including digital formats.

The first release on twelve.to.zero "Nexam EP" welcomes Faster to do the honours with three tracks highlighting the producer's exceptional skills. The EP's title track, 'Nexam', fills the A-side of the record with a light-hearted tone, especially fitting for the morning after-hours: minimal house equal parts hypnotic and deep, which subtle (yet thumping) basslines and captivating lead synth elevate it to a dreamy state. When it comes to releasing groove-driven productions suited for the warm-up all the way through to the afters, there aren’t too many better than Michael James. A studio natural with innate talent earning him a reputation as a must-visit producer, the Manchester native’s growing discography has already welcomed stand-out material via Burnski’s Constant Sound and Constant Black alongside the likes of S.A.S.H., e1ven and INFUSE. Returning to FUSE for the first time since his huge collaborative ‘Weird Things’ EP in 2020 alongside imprint boss Enzo Siragusa, early May welcomes a big solo debut on the label as he drops his dynamic four-track EP, ‘Another Dimension’.

Lead cut ‘Nobody Does’ sees James skilfully fuse funk-fuelled bass licks with sharp drums and wonky synths, while title track ‘Another Dimension’ offers up weighty low-ends beneath skippy percussion and sweeping melodies for a powerful peak time anthem. ‘Downstream’ arrives full of swing as delicate pads float amongst the mix, before closing with the driving sonics and spacey electronics of digital exclusive ‘Underwater’.

Pîrvu returns to Meander with "Skylark EP," featuring a remix from a:rpia:r artist Dan Andrei.

The EP includes three adventurous and emotional breakbeat-inspired house cuts, with Pîrvu's personal aesthetic splattered across the board. The tracks are filled with unique vocal samples, infectious bass grooves, beautiful chords, and precisely programmed drums.

On the B-side, Dan Andrei reworks Pîrvu’s track "Zuzu" into a deep 4/4 trip, covered in a transcendent sheen.

Sam Interface (formerly known as SNØW) returns to the seminal R&S Records following the success of last year’s R&S Presents: More Time Records Vol 1, which was a 4 track compilation featuring Ahadadream, Bala Bala Boyz, Bryte & SNØW.

He is the co-founder of London’s More Time Records, on which he has released much of his own music as SNØW (including collaborations with Zed Bias, Fox, Dread MC & more) and can also be found monthly on Rinse FM and Reprezent Radio playing a range of percussive genres including UK Funky, GQOM, Kuduro, Afrobeats and more.

The name change takes him closer to his first alias Interface, under which he had DnB hits with the likes of DJ Die and more, he explains: “When i first released music back in my early DnB days I used the alias “Interface” and so many people still call me Sam Interface - it feels like the most natural name for me.”

The lead track “Underground” (which samples an announcement from the tube) references a range of London-centric genres, combining polyrhythmic percussion with an extremely upfront bass sound which draws influence from and exxagerates recent drill productions.

“Finally”, a collaboration with an old friend & prolific DnB producer Break follows, bringing frantic motion to the release. The third track “Crud” utilises Sam’s signature gully bass production, flooding the speakers with low end on the drop. The EP wraps up with “Pink Dolphins” - a euphoric dancefloor moment which channels the energy and emotion of jungle, drawing on some of Sam’s earliest rave influences.

The duality of love and pain runs right through the centre of this compelling and highly personal debut LP from Sasha Pervukhin, DJ/producer from Zolochiv, Ukraine, currently based in Paris. 



Over years releasing on his own Laconica label (as Alex Pervukhin) and more recently working at Carpet & Snares record shop in Lisbon, Sasha has honed in on a highly evocative, widescreen sound that draws deftly from his influences in classic tech house, breakbeat and hip hop. Now, on this new Carpet sublabel Nataraja — created for obscure, dark and experimental club sounds, downtempo, ambient and beyond — Sasha delivers four upfront and compulsive dancefloor tracks paired with four noirish vignettes, recounting a heart-on-sleeve sonic narrative about human contradictions: swagger and vulnerability, hubris and heartbreak.

Italian artist, Yu, lands on Art Of Dark with the first of a two-part EP.

Two producers Adria & Torrent are gathered together from their musical hub in sunny city Barcelona to present us the new release. The tale of friendship and the pursuit of them nonstandard sounds have resulted in this body of work under the name “Cicatrices De La Noche”. To translate it in English, it means scars of the night. On A side we can witness theirs solo works and their unique approach to sound design. While on the B side the maestros have gathered together in a collaborative volcano of production.

Over the years of hard work, he has developed his own sound and from what can be heard here safely could be said that this release is most definitely the weapon of mass destruction which has been added to the artist’s collection of releases. Straight from the mind onto this 12” canvas for you to enjoy.

Solar Suite delivers an intergalactic feast for the senses, serving up two choice solo cuts including the driving atmospheric energy of ‘Smokescreen’ and the techy groove-laden rhythm of Pearl Beach. Sandwiched between the two courses is ‘Funktion of the Season’, a mesmerisng collaboration with Command D. For dessert, Kitsta steps up to provide a killer dubbed-out remix of the EP’s title track. Phosphor’s fourth release connects two promising talents from Barcelona’s underground scene: French producer Vince Void and Mexican DJ Gamba. Together, they deliver a finely crafted EP that blends punchy club dynamics with dreamy, psychedelic touches. From electro with 80s Italian accents to glitchy grooves and spacey breaks, PHP004 stands as a floor-ready release, moving with a subtle balance of tension and elevation.

Vince Void takes the A-side with two effective cuts. “Thunder” builds on a saturated Italo-style bassline and crisp, stripped-back drums, creating a steady tension that works perfectly at the start of a set. “Fashion Victim” switches the mood with acid-tinged grooves, glitchy stabs and a playful swing. It’s less linear but just as effective, adding contrast and movement to any DJ set.

On the B-side, DJ Gamba goes deeper. “The Universe”, in collaboration with Quim, weaves lush pads and shimmering arps into a rolling club structure, with subtle breakbeat accents that add lift and fluidity. To close, “Your Vision” slows the pulse slightly, blending filtered melodies, melancholic textures and a steady groove, locking in emotion without losing the club energy.

Chicago producer Ellery Cowles lands on Apnea Records with three tracks that draw from the city's foundational rhythms while reaching for something more devotional. Walking by Faith isn't chasing nostalgia--it's after deeper ground. "Fall of Jericho" kicks things off with syncopated Chicago swing colliding with latin percussion and acid basslines that curl and bite in equal measure. "Fly" builds around a looped vocal fragment, letting raw drum patterns stretch and breathe as the track slowly reveals itself. Closer "Crying of Yahweh" is the most patient of the three--seven minutes of hypnotic techno coiling around latin rhythms, carrying a quiet spiritual weight that lingers long after it fades. Cowles moves between reference points with ease--Chicago house, devotional threads, latin heat--but never forces the connection. The music feels like it's been lived in rather than simply constructed, generous with its time and intentional with its space. Out now on Apnea Records.

Brand new double pack from Detroit Techno legend Gary Martin aka Gigi Galaxy

Burnski's Constant Black continues to be a platform for producers keen to explore a cosmic world of tech house and minimalism. There is certainly a spaced-out vibe to opener 'In The Knoe' from ADR, which is tough and punchy, with tight drums and crystalline lines all making for a funky vibe. 'Freedom' is a little deeper and more balmy for late-night intergalactic travel, then 'I Remember When' pumps the party with loopy bass and psychedelic swirls of colour. Dan Goul steps up on the flip with 'Method', which is a full-fat tech sound with warm synth smears and wiggling motifs that make your ass move, then 'Passing Thoughts' shuts down with a cruising groove and sense of astral adventure.

Zurich’s Elvis Cassetta delivers a dazzling four-track debut EP to his brand-new WhyNot imprint. Complete with a refined deep house sound, this is an expertly crafted body of silky smooth grooves to get floors shaking.

'Down With Us' instantly displays Cassetta’s effortless ability to create a hot house swing using just a handful of elements – subtle groove, skittish percussion and a sultry vocal sample. The whole track is thrown out wide in the breakdown, but then as the bassline is brought back in, Cassetta draws it all back in close for an intimate dancefloor moment. Definitely one of those hands-in-the-air peak-time scenes.

Dreamy synth pads steadily build under a thunderous kick drum pattern on the EP’s second track, 'Focals Finest', which takes the tempo up a notch for a real sweat inducer.

Finally, it’s all about a raw bassline on the metallic and techy 'Jupiter Groove'. Contorted slices of spoken word dip in and out throughout to create another level of leftfield, danceable percussion. While the low end is the main focus on the original, in Silat Beksi’s remix, we hear a brighter take on the deep groove. There’s a swirling sample, more prominent key stabs, eerie vocals and a teasing smattering of melody. Percussive elements are thrown from all angles, and they pulsate up into the rafters of the lofty house track, leading you further into a state of hypnosis.

Overall, these are house tracks made right – a classy release fit for warming in crowds in style.

HOME//GRXWN ends the summer with a captivating EP from Dutch talent Milion… Showcasing his electroside, the EP consists of dynamic blends and high-energy beats, cementing Milion's influence of garage and electro to create high energy tracks that amplify the dancefloor. On the A side, ‘Adventure Time’ demonstrates a euphoric and genre bending take on Electro .‘DALIA’ naturally become a club favourite to many including, Dungeon Meat, Rossi., Enzo Siragusa and many more. On the B Side ‘Machines Breathe’ is an exposition of emotions that machines and computers can evoke when infused with soul… Rounding off the EP with a Voigtmann special remix of ‘Machines Breathe’ with the use of his signature sound where groove and funk are ever present.

Opik follow up their debut ‘Feel Yourself’ release on Pork Recordings from 1992 with more gold from the archives. Featuring two unreleased gems in ‘Lovekraft’ and ‘Oscillator’ backed with a special 15 minute version of ‘Travelling Without Moving’, originally featured on the cult ‘Feed Your Head’ compilation.

The classy house heads at B2 Recordings hand things over to Those Guys From Athens for another quartet of silky sounds. 'Triple Double' kicks off with nice lazy drums and sparkling synths that are perfect for early evening warming up. 'Father's Groove' gets more lively with some steely drums macing away beneath loose percussion and 'They Couldn't Stop Me' then gets dee with smeared vocal sounds and hip-swinging drums. Lastly, 'Never Been In Chicago' plays with filters and gently swaying groves to lull you into a reverie. These work on the heart and head as much as heel.

How about a volley of hydraulic heaters from one of Denmark’s finest?

Already a man of many projects, both on the label side and in the studio, Natal Zaks has minted a brand-new alias… Enter Aquafaba, the ocean floor operator kicking it on a subaqueous tip.

Not many moving like this today. Properly submerged techno, masterful and ultra-essential by Aquafaba, self-monikered after the starchy, liquid byproduct of cooking chickpeas. Patrick Star would be proud for sure.

From Aarhus to the deepest ocean trenches in pursuit of that fathoms-below sound. Nods to the Midwest – chiefly mid-’90s Robert Hood and Cajmere’s ‘Percolator’ – felt in parts, but it’s also riddled with ultra-engrossing detail. Purpose built with a modular brain, Julien’s performances are switched on, live, utterly groovy, and while pulsating with machine wiring, undeniably human.
Chaptal's newest record, The Way, was conceived after a few too many knobs were turned on his Octatrack, sending Julien tumbling through time and space to capture decades worth of dance floor musical influence before returning home. Recorded live along the journey — on stage, by boat, and in a camper van — The Way’s hypnotic tracks are an intimate look at the intricate circuitry composing the logic behind electronic music, showcasing where it has come, where it is now, and where it will travel to in the future.
