Four Owls MC, Verb T and Brothers Of The Stone producer, Illinformed come together to bring you the musical motion picture of the century entitled 'The Man With The Foggy Eyes'. Unfolding like an early De Niro and Scorsese collaboration the album charts the life and times of our hero as he struggles to balance the monotony of everyday life with the unpredictability of an ever changing future. The emotion, the madness and humour found within the highs and lows is highlighted with stark honesty, then at times Verb T's trademark realism gives way to fantasy and imagination as he takes on the role of the lead character. Illinformed has created a wide and varied range of soundscapes with touches of jazz, blues, gospel and funk all brought together with that classic hip hop feel he is known for. Guest appearances include all of T's fellow Owls, Hip hop veterans as well as a crop of fresh up and comers all of whom add their own unique touches to this album.
With brand new high octane single 'First Stone' already doing the rounds on Youtube and radio, the anticipation couldn't be higher for this new release, hot off the heels of the incredibly successful new Four Owls album 'Natural Order', the stage is set for Verb T and Illinformed to show off some of their finest work to date!

Marc Hype and Naughty NMX link up styles from Boogie Down Berlin to Hamburg and flip the BIG A side for Dusty Donuts Volume 5. Taking Black Cow back Uptown and beefing it up with crisp beats and transitions, this will fill the floor from the opening notes. Side B is curated by London's Jim Sharp, who delivers a soulful boom bap edit of Sugar Man. NASty beats and a funky baseline to break necks and move behinds.

AE Productions in association with Sure Shot Recordings and In Effect Recordings are pleased to announce a second edition of the Phill Most Chill and Paul Nice album as the Fabreeze Brothers.

The hugely successful first colour vinyl edition sold out in only 2 weeks from release date so due to demand we are already repressing this instant classic! We appreciate that the expensive luxuriously packaged first edition was not for everyone's budget so the second edition is standard black vinyl and a regular sleeve design. These changes have brought the cost back in line with a standard double LP without cheapening the product and is still a superior quality package compared to many other independent releases.

The artwork has been tweaked to work with the standard sleeve format which is presented on heavyweight 380gsm card and is factory sealed in shrink wrap instead of plastic sleeves. We kept the original hype sticker design to retain the overall aesthetic from the first edition along with the same full colour insert but have included an extra information sticker for the back cover with track listing. We have also kept to double vinyl for pressing quality and have even reworked the label design as we found that the first edition labels didn't suit black vinyl quite the same as the colour vinyl edition so even though this is aimed at being cheaper than the first pressing we're still paying close attention to detail.

So as to be able to reach a wider audience we have added a Compact Disc release to the formats available which is presented in a factory sealed card sleeve with full colour inner sleeve so that the design remains in line with the vinyl issue.

Adrian Younge's acclaimed collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah, re-issued for the first time on Linear Labs! The sounds of classic 36 Chambers-era RZA meld with Portishead and the Italian film music of Ennio Morricone on 12 Reasons To Die, the first ever collaboration between Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge. A daring, full-length Crime/Horror concept album, 12 Reasons' executive producer and Ghostface's longtime Wu-Tang Clan collaborator The RZA, referred to the album as 'groundbreaking' in the hip-hop genre. Ghostface Killah's prominence in hip hop has grown steadily over his 20-plus year career - including high-profile appearances on Kanye West's Cruel Summer, RZA's The Man With the Iron Fists soundtrack and 36 Seasons, his recent collaboration with The Revelations - 12 Reasons catches the gifted MC at the height of his lyrical prowess. Composer/producer/instrumentalist Adrian Younge represents the next generation of black music producers. His aim is an organic re-appropriation of hip-hop circa the mid-90s. His previous releases, the Black Dynamite soundtrack album (2009) Something About April (2011), and There Is Only Now, his collaboration with Souls Of Mischief (2012), touched on psychedelia, blaxploitation, and the cinematic soul of the 1970s. 12 Reasons was Adrian's first project in which he's immersed himself in the world of hip-hop

Coming off of the success of his critically acclaimed sophomore LP 'A Dream Deferred' and the heralded 'Barrel Brothers' collabo album with Torae, Skyzoo returns with his third solo effort 'Music For My Friends'. The album finds Sky back to what he's known for best: vivid storytelling, using elite lyricism to paint the scenes. Over the last year we've been celebrating the 10th birthday of First Word Records with a series of releases and events. To round out the festivities we've put together the third in our series of 10" vinyl EPs. EP One, 'Second Chance' was a compilation of our best selling (but now out of print) vinyl releases, EP Two 'Most Wanted' was the best of the catalogue not previously available on vinyl, and the third 'Future Classics' is the pick of our current output, with a couple of exclusives added for good measure.

Side A opens with kidkanevil's 'One for the One', a trademark soulful hip hop beat taken from the producer's soon-come beat tape. Next up is Fulgeance & DJ Scientist's 'Vendetta': the brooding, Eastern Block-influenced beat is a standout track from their 'Soviet Tape' album. This side is rounded out with Essa's seismic 'LeLeLe', produced by Flako and featuring Kashmere of Strange U. Straight banger! On the flip we have Souleance's remix of Quiet Dawn's 'Golden Moments', which is everything we've come to expect from the French duo. The EP is completed with another remix, this time Throwing Snow's fractured rework of Frameworks' Dawn.
