J. Young recorded two 45rpm singles for James Reese' Najma label some time in the late 1960s. Both releases are extremenly hard to find nowadays, and even better, both are of sheer quality. Get this re-issue and save several thousand dollars which you would have to spend for original copies of these cuts. It's a good deal, really.

An entended mix of the 'Jah Love I' song written by Freddie McKay and voiced by David Isaacs.

David Isaacs was born in Denham Town and cut some excellent sides for Lee Perry in the late 60s.

This cut is a rarity that was only ever released as a 12 on Phil Pratts Chanan -Jah label.

Freddie McKays cut of the same song came on the Lucky Star label. David Isaacs delivers a soulful heartfelt slab of roots.

Backed with Freddie McKay on the flipside 'It De Hay' and version is a sparse slow rhythm with Freddie's sweet vocals gliding over the top. Comes in a hand stamped re-cycled card sleeve.

This release, 'Dub In Blood', is one of the rarest and most sought after dub albums of all. Issued in tiny quantities on Phil's Sunshot label, it now commands ridiculous prices in the collectors' market.
Dub In Blood come out on Sunshot, Yet confusingly the same LP was also issued in England with different track titles
and proudly renamed 'The Best Dub Album In The World'.

Dennis Brown has always been cited as Jamaica's favourite singer.
While Bob Marley set out to conquer the world, Dennis's popularity on the island grew with every year.
His most prolific period is said to be with producer Niney the Observer,who led the singer down a more Roots avenue.He put Dennis on some of his heaviest rhythms.
Throwing also into the pot the fact that these rhythms were also to be mixed by the Dubmaster himself King Tubby we are bound to get one of the best Dub albums around.
Here is where the Crown Prince of Reggae Meets Niney the Observer at King Tubbys.
It's from this period that we have focused on and it's these tracks that were taken to King Tubby's studio to produce this stunning album.

Judy Mowatt came to prominence as a member of Bob Marley's I-Three backing group and as such was onstage before millions around the world. She launched her solo career in 1975 and released a string of acclaimed solo recordings over the next 15 years.

Fortuna Records reissues a double banger by Aris San, the absolute don of the 'Greek Jaffa sound'.

'Boom Pam' was released in 1967 becoming an instant hit nation-wide. The track ignited the 'Greek Craze' which would dominate Israeli taverns for nearly a decade. Replacing bouzoukis with electric guitars, San gave Greek music a psychedelic edge making it popular with the in-crowd of swinging Tel Aviv.

On the flipside, his 1972 tune 'Dam Dam' is an equally infectious, ouzo fueled, dancefloor saga, demonstrating the absolute best of San's unique and influential style.
