"A diverse collection of electro music which spans the distorted and raw to clean and refined. Stallone The Reducer starts the comp with overdrive drums and funk rhythm. Weakmassive is up next with a Swedish type electro track. Kid Ginseng delivers a track featuring Wendy James of Transvision Vamp with latino edits. Next, Drakkar Noir steps up with a deep and raw dancefloor mover! Bookworms contributes an uptempo avant-garde hardware tweaker. Finally Foil comes through with some hard 808 business including blade runner synth. This comp is a monster!"

Exzakt is in the drivers seat again with this deep, dance floor ride that touches on a lot of various vibes along the way. Feeling & Above are tracks that marked Exzakt's return and are the first tunes he produced on this journey. Feeling is moody, pure electro with many layers which touches more on his classic, original sound. BFX puts his unique take on the same tune with exciting results. Bass driven beats with hints of 4/4 keep this song moves into new exciting directions. With Kinesthetic joining Exzakt, Above is a banger which starts when the bass kicks. Deep strings and driving sonic sounds move this track until the end. For the gran finale of the EP, Brice Kelly hands in one of the freshest Electro songs you will hear today. This is truly one for our time that will be an instant classic. Brice Kelly goes all in on this amazing journey through pure Electro goodness.

The 10th Snaker is straight out of Bucharest, Rumania. Eirwud Mudwasser dreams about an imaginary tropical planet from his quiet place somewhere in between. Organic yet electronic past-futuristic soundscape created from daily ideas, in combination of FM synthesizers and African instruments (i.e. Balafon) and off course with interesting samples. 'Contemporary Library Sound' --an ongoing theme of Snaker -- is expressed again in 11 distinctive songs, treated with touch of East-Europianic feeling.

A Colourful Storm presents a mini-album by Kallista Kult, the newest and most shadowy members to join the label's eclectic roster. Rumoured to be comprised of a core group of modern Oz improv and DIY luminaries with ties to Brandenburg and Black Rock, the sprawling, deeply evocative tracks draw comparisons with the Ghost Box axis, that Michael O'Shea record, Inga Copeland and, dare we say, those rare-as-hen's-teeth Threshold Houseboys Choir CDR's. Edition of 150 with printed lyric sheet and insert.

Next up in our exclusive 7-inch limited edition coloured vinyl series we’re delighted to present a seminal club classic, the mighty The House Of House backed with Let There Be House. Cherrymoon Trax were a conglomerate of many different artists over the years, with each contributing their own unique flavour to the sound. As the story goes, the resident DJ’s at the infamous Chery Moon club were tasked with creating an anthem for the club, the result was The House Of House. Amidst the deep rumbling basslines and driving beats, a raspy vocal proclaims those iconic lyrics that have resonated through many many tracks since. Rave style synths are morphed into a hypnotic, instantly recognisable hook alongside an infectious cascading arpeggio note. On the flip we find Let There Be House which also became an instant classic having been originally released around the same time as the former. A full on hard trancer with scathing synths, hypnotic alarms and powered by a pumping drum section. Another contributor to the sound of a generation that still works the floors today. This one marks the third in our 7-inch series and like its predecessors it’s a definite must have for the discerning collector.

It’s Neu Verbotens advice to a faster apocalypse, an arsenic wish. His message in the voicemail of Infoline which will burn your ears with liquid acid. This artefact of a neo digital brain modification sends its first bio message to the doomed dancefloors of gore. Neu Verboten is transmitting sonic metadata from the interzone between the secret Lustpoderosa headquarter and the decentralized battlefields of todays resistance. While receiving information about political malware and forgotten messages of peace on earth it trys to involve new members to the resistance for the new forbidden ways of anarchist diy-life. Taking its cues from old synthmachines & rusty surveillance tools to fight for a radical open rave society. Vital Sales Points: First Solo EP by Neu Verboten

PROPER PIC SLEEVE REISSUE OF THIS EARLY LCD 12" FROM 2004. ‘Yeah’ was the follow up to LCD's breakout track "Losing My Edge," and was kind of a sleeper that has definitely stood the test of time and is worth a revisit. LCD records seem to speak to those kids sick of the scene, who want their 12" to retain interest longer than the next trend, but without sacrificing up to the minute relevance. An impossible feat, but listening to tracks like "Yeah (Crass Version)" will make you a believer. The song writing and composition are the foundations that the track is built on, with enough rock pretentiousness and sleazy analog to keep you interested. It takes a little more to keep our jaded ears interested these days, and this is might be it. "Yeah (Pretentious Version)" is a completely alternate version, offering a cleaner instrumental take on the track. Also includes the "Clap-a-Pella." Recommended.

The English-Irish electronic/dance duo Moloko released their first album Do You Like My Tight Sweater? in 1995.
It’s one of their most experimental records, before moving on to a more mainstream approach. Roisin Murphy is carrying the album with her versatile vocals, both in range and style, while Mark Brydon created the breakbeats, sound effects and groovy disco lines.
This is electronica at its best, danceable and funky.
The album includes their hits ““Fun for Me” and “Dominoid”, besides fan favourites like “Day for Night” and “Where Is the What If the What Is in Why?”. They never slow down in their exiting music and absurd lyrics, but that’s exactly what makes this record unforgettable.
Pure joy to be danced on all night.
Do You Like My Tight Sweater? is available as a limited edition of 3000 numbered copies on turquoise vinyl.

Unless you live deep, deep inside some sort of cave and have never ventured outside it's unlikely that you'll be unexcited by the next offering from Touched Music.
Quench lighten our lives once again with 'Greyhound EP', Drawing on His vast experience (Cane, Funckarma, et. al) to bring you a lovely little collection of tracks.
Six pieces of expert creation, thoughtful in concept and masterful in execution, this is the complete opposite of run-of-the-mill. Rhythms are strong, highs are crisp and things which are distant sound like they are supposed to be.
'Marta Cosmone' emerges from a muddy horizon and quickly flips into a clear and concise track. Attention has clearly been given in equal amounts to all constituent parts and nothing has been left behind.
The theme continues right until the end, all the songs here leave you hanging from one phrase to the next as they continuously evolve and transform to keep your attention.
There's an intermittent sense of urgency, most apparent in 'Skavenger Orphan'. One has just about enough time to process what has happened until the next iteration of the phrase is in your face.
Everything is topped off nicely by 'Bowen Skylax' that manages to relax me after being on the edge of my seat for half an hour or so - no thanks to the penultimate 'Biva Vlance' which steps it up a notch with somewhat more hectic drum programming.

Triumvirate = the combined power of a group of three in creative collaboration.
CARTER TUTTI VOID (Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Nik Void) have an-nounced their third and final studio album containing all new studio recordings, Triumvirate brings Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Nik Void’s collaborative partnership as Carter Tutti Void to a conclusion.
The trio first came together as a collective for a live performance, in-vited by Mute for the Short Circuit Festival in 2011 and released their acclaimed debut, the live album Transverse the following year. Carter Tutti Void went on to release f(x) (Industrial Records, 2015), their first stu-dio recording and performed a handful of selected shows, culminating in their final live performance in Hull, part of a series of events for Hull City of Culture 2017 centred around the COUM Transmissions retrospective at Humber Street Gallery.
For some time Carter, Tutti and Void have been awaiting an opportunity when all three artists were able to gather at Carter and Tutti’s Studio47 in Norfolk, where the album was recorded, produced and mastered. Triumvirate was ap-proached with the improvisational spirit of previous Carter Tutti Void albums. The rhythms, created by Chris Carter, formed the foundation and starting point from which the process began of melding the live instrumentation of Cosey Fanni Tutti and Nik Void’s searing guitars, vocals, effects and the arsenal of sounds each had amassed from a variety of sources, some sounds manipulated to extremes, all fed into the mix. Tying the album together is the power of three, and a free open approach to sound shared by the trio.
Carter Tutti Void are Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti (Chris & Cosey / Throbbing Gristle) and Nik Void (Factory Floor / NVPR). Chris Carter recently released his first solo album in 17 years, Chris Carter’s Chemistry Lessons Vol. 1 (Mute, 2018) and Cosey Fanni Tutti’s TUTTI, her first album since 1982, came out ear-lier this year on Conspiracy International (home of Chris and Cosey since 1982). Nik Void is currently working on her debut solo album.

Sentiment of Callousness was written over a one-and-a-half year period of total collapse, characterized by disconnection between the world within and the perception of the world outside.
Each of the tracks embodies feelings experienced during this time - from dark to bright, sluggish to energetic, alive to dead, real to unreal, and the self to the other.

Ten incredible albums culled from the deepest, weirdest co-op of record enthusiasts ever gathered under one banner. We've spared no expense packaging these, pairing the idea of the Art of Compilation with living and breathing art, creating little fortune cookies baked in a factory of forgotten dreams. Video games, pyramids, trading cards, matchbooks, a working planisphere, mazes, lottery tickets, film canisters, yearbooks, and various other exercises in design absurdity.
In January, we'll kick this mini-verse off with Escape From Synth City, a hero's quest worth of staccato synths, crack house Casios, off-brand drum machines, minimal Morricone, four-track fantasia, and a variety of other speculations on what the 1980s thought the future would sound like. Packaged in a 12'x12' Nintendo Entertainment System-styled jacket, replete with game sticker, die-cut outer sleeve, debossed cartridge inner sleeve, and art from our first video game, playable from the comfort of your PC

Global tracks is a mystery; browsing the name online gives nothing associated with the artist. All we really know is that Gothenburg is home base. Most points toward that this is Global Tracks first release and Hoga Nord Rekords are more than proud to be first out giving his/her music out.
With albums like 'Selected Ambient Works' by the Aphex Twin and cities like London and Sheffield as a ground for the sound, Global Tracks displays how breakbeats should sound in 2019. The music is mostly influenced by Jungle, but also by Footwork and Dancehall. The roots lie shallow but the phantom behind this music don't give up with trying to recreate the nineties straight up, instead he/she develops the legacy from all the best and most drug marinated DJ:s from England circa 1995.
Breakbeat has a new vanguard in this mysterious shadow crawler that we know almost nothing about, but rumor has it Global Tracks is locked up with the machines under ground somewhere in Vastra Gotaland in Sweden working on new broke up beats, ready to surface when the time is right for more, deep and ganja oozing dance music!

When Giampaolo Scapigliati was a kid he liked to explore the hidden abandoned places in the outskirts of his hometown, Viterbo. Especially those natural pools in the middle of nowhere that attract tourists for their sulfurous healing water, not welcoming smell and obscure plants. What he cherished the most, though, was its fascinating aura, one that can only emanate from an immortal ancient site. This kind of mysterious mood is what inspires "Sulfureo", his second album as Lamusa II. Along its eleven cuts, Giampaolo experiments with wet percussive sounds, drum machines, syndrums, echos and analog and digital synthesizers programmed with sequencers and midi devices that, in his own words, "created different paths when crossing on each other". In contrast to all of this synchronization, he also experiments with guitars and bass, using a live "free approach" reminiscent of krautrock and new wave obscurities. Also near Viterbo is located the monumental complex of 'Sacro Bosco', where Giampaolo spent many afternoons walking and losing himself inside the weirdness and charm of that place. Surrounded by the grotesque sculptures, enigmatic buildings hidden among the abandoned vegetation and gloomy animals sounds he used to leap into imaginary alternative states that represented some kind of 'journey of initiation'. Now located in Paris, "away from home, from the nature and from those childhood places", he revisited all of those feelings and moods to create a sonic trip at least as equally fascinating.

The collection features internationally acclaimed artists such as Haruomi Hosono, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi, as well as other pioneers like Hiroshi Yoshimura, Yoshio Ojima and Satoshi Ashikawa, who deserve a place alongside the indisputable giants of these genres.
In the 1970s, the concepts of Brian Eno's 'ambient' and Erik Satie's 'furniture music' began to take hold in the minds of artists and musicians around Tokyo. Emerging fields like soundscape design and architectural acoustics opened up new ways in which sound and music could be consumed. For artists like Yoshimura, Ojima and Ashikawa, these ideas became the foundation for their musical works, which were heard not only on records and in live performances, but also within public and private spaces where they intermingled with the sounds and environments of everyday life. The bubble economy of 1980s Japan also had a hand in the advancement of kankyÅ ongaku. In an attempt to cultivate an image of sophisticated lifestyle, corporations with expendable income bankrolled various art and music initiatives, which opened up new and unorthodox ways in which artists could integrate their avant-garde musical forms into everyday life: in-store music for Muji, promo LP for a Sanyo AC unit, a Seiko watch advert, among others that can be heard in this collection.
KankyÅ Ongaku is expertly compiled by Spencer Doran (Visible Cloaks) who, with a series of revelatory mixtapes as well as his label Empire of Signs (Music For Nine Postcards), has been instrumental in shepherding interest in this music outside of Japan. Together with Light In The Attic's celebrated anthologies I Am The Center and The Microcosm, KankyÅ Ongaku helps to broaden our understanding of this quietly profound music, regardless of the environment in which it's heard.

For over half a century, Takehisa Kosugi was one of the most unique and enduring figures in the Japanese underground. As an art student in Tokyo in the early 1960s, he joined the Fluxus-styled performance unit Hi Re Centre and then founded the improvisational ensemble Group Ongaku, but his most legendary project was The Taj-Mahal Travelers – a multicellular organism that included Kosugi, Ryo Koike, Yukio Tsuchiya, Seiji Nagai, Michihiro Kimura, Tokio Hasegawa and sound engineer Kinji Hayashi.
With a penchant for long psychedelic jams (some lasting 12 hours or more) The Taj-Mahal Travelers lived up to their name. Touring in a Volkswagen van across Europe and Asia in the early '70s, they eventually reached the actual Taj Mahal in India. Upon their return to Japan, they held a concert to raise more touring funds and released their very first recordings. Their debut album, July 15, 1972, would extend the band's matter-of-fact titling: all the tracks were named precisely for the times they began and ended.
With a grab bag of instrumentation (electric violin, double bass, santoor, vibraphone, harmonica, radio oscillators, sheet iron, etc.), The Taj-Mahal Travelers weave together mesmerizing waves of sonic texture. Featuring longtone concepts that Kosugi discovered while working with sound generators in New York in the mid-'60s, July 15, 1972 remains just as much a collective tone poem as psych workout. These leader-less sounds coalesce into a unified whole that feels both subconscious and sublime, as if the waveforms bypass the listener's ears and land directly inside one's synapses.

Suzanne Doucet was born in Tuebingen, Germany where as a three year old, Doucet discovered her innate artistic gifts. Instinctively, she was always drawing, playing music, singing, and writing. By the age of 18, Suzanne was an established pop star in Germany with several #1 hits. She also made her mark as a composer, actress, TV moderator, director, engineer, and producer. At age 25. she took a sabbatical from the music business to go on a spiritual odyssey. In 1970 she released a triple album of field recordings and mind-expanding psychedelia under the name Zweistein. For the next ten years, she developed her own style of New Age music while exploring many areas of metaphysics and spiritual practices, including astrology, music therapy, tarot, yoga and the Kabbalah.
In 1979, Doucet launched a record label in West Germany named Isis, after the Egyptian goddess of feminine divinity. She formed the duo New Age with her musical partner Christian Bühner, and released the 1982 cassette album ‘Transformation’ and the follow-up ‘Transmission’, released on cassette in 1983. After this release, Bühner and Doucet moved to Los Angeles, hoping to find more kindred spirits in the burgeoning New Age scene there. In 1984 Doucet married Video Artist and Yoga instructor James Bell. Together they recorded ‘Reflecting Light Vol. 1 using a Roland JX-3P, TR-909 and a Steinway Grand Piano. The cassettes had mirrored covers, a reference to the Zweistein jacket 14 years prior. An a-causal combination of visuals and sound, based on the analogy of Archetype Symbols will create expanded associations and emotional experiences for the consumer and allow a creative state of consciousness and openness of the Inner Being in all directions. All songs have been remastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios and each album is housed in jackets using the original cassette artwork.

In this post-industrial, post-enlightenment religion of ourselves, we have manifested a serpent of consumerism which now coils back upon us. It seduces us with our own bait as we betray the better instincts of our nature and the future of our own world. We throw ourselves out of our own garden. We poison ourselves to the edges of an endless sleep.
Animated Violence Mild was written throughout 2018, at Blanck Mass’ studio outside of Edinburgh. These eight tracks are the diary of a year of work steeped in honing craft, self-discovery, and grief - the latter of which reared its head at the final hurdle of producing this record and created a whole separate narrative: grief, both for what I have lost personally, but also in a global sense, for what we as a species have lost and handed over to our blood-sucking counterpart, consumerism, only to be ravaged by it.
I believe that many of us have willfully allowed our survival instinct to become engulfed by the snake we birthed. Animated — brought to life by humankind. Violent — insurmountable and wild beyond our control. Mild — delicious.

'For his first EP in two years, and second release on Leicester's Grade 10, Forever returns with a six track exploration of hazy, dub-inflected sounds entitled 'In Your Own Time'.
On the A-side, the tense atmospherics of 'Depth Charge' give way to the sun-kissed chords and dancehall-esque rhythms of 'Watch This', finally being rounded off with the record's title track - a sub-driven 7 and a half minute roller, where percussive patterns and dusty chords drift and weave amongst each other.
Side B continues on to more dub-leaning tracks, with 'Alpine' picking up the pace and echoing pulsing synths in to the abyss, followed by a drugged out 'Opioid mix' of the title track - a drum and bass combo sat somewhere between Memphis rap and classic soundsystem rumblers. Closing out the record is 'UR', plunging in to the depths with sonar-like samples and echoing vocals like ghosts trapped in the machines.'

Repetition is learning. Retrace, the new EP from Jeff McIlwain aka Lusine, moves along this line of thought, reflecting the Texas-raised/Seattle-based producer’s recurrent, iteration-embracing approach to music-making and living. Following 2017 full-length Sensorimotor, which explored the body’s instinct versus the brain’s intent, this introverted 4-tracker finds McIlwain just as kinetically-curious. Balancing focused programming with washy, less concrete sonics, Retrace plays with the unexpected by drawing from slight variations on the same idea.
Sequenced into his trademark mix of polyrhythmic synths, processed vocals, and organic instrumentation is the more prominent use of a looper. The technique lends each composition an uncanny kind of multiplicity. Opener “Not Alone” repeats and stretches vocal phrasings from Hardly Art-signed American singer-songwriter Jenn Champion, building onto itself until a climactic, near-duet reset. South Korean musician Yousun Cho aka CIFIKA brings a fluttering of bilingual directives to “Step On,” a buoyant exercise in electronic pop. The title track embodies the whole, allowing a single synth pattern to morph, regenerate, and bloom before returning to its original form.

Spectral Empire are George Thompson (aka Black Merlin / Karamika) and Kyle Martin (Vactrol Park / Land of Light). With the release of Iron Muscle they are celebrating 10 years since their debut ep Innerfearence saw the light of day in 2008 on the now defunct THISISNOTANEXIT record label. Legend tells all track were made around the same time (2008-2009), at what was back then Kyle's studio in Archway, London, however opinions remain divided over the validity of this info. What is remembered for a fact is that they'v used practically every home appliance and improvised noise they could find, record and harness, in order to create the feeling of what they describe as a ' Robot walking' for the title track Iron Muscle. Anything from kitchen drawers to DVD's and cutlery was sampled and then drenched in effects and manipulated in order to create what came out as a cinematic futuristic piece to dive into again and again, a soundtrack for an unwritten sci-fi movie, or just a dramatic soundtrack for your everyday lives.. With See the invisible, rules do not apply. An arpeggiated groove sitting on a steady half time 60bpm beat, its like the perfect soundtrack to the perfect car chase. Mediterranean riverbed guitars- not-guitars, sirens, and a heavy (dreamy) atmosphere fill the voids and keeps the track pushing forward throughout... The 4th track on the record is a never before seen the light of day epic remix by Die Wilde Jagd, that back then still included Ralf Beck (Unit 4) as an active member of the band (back when they were still known as Der Rau¨ber und Der Prinz). The release will be a vinyl only release, and is already getting massive support from the likes of Vladimir Ivkovic, Michael Mayer, John Talabot, Red Axes, Manfredas, Trevor Jackson, Lena Wilikkens, Man Power and many more...

Boytronic is a synth pop group from Hamburg, Germany. The duo began composing music as the soundtrack to sex shows on Hamburg's famous 'Mile of Sin'. Their first single 'You' was released in 1983 and became a Top 10 club hit in many European charts. 'Trigger Track' was released in 1984 as a B-side. 'Bryllyant' was originally released as a B-side to the 86 remix of 'You' on JDC Records. A Belgian DJ played the song at 33rpm and convinced the band to release this slower speed version in 1988. Lapsus Records proudly presents the fourth release in its 'Perennial' series, dedicated to reissuing classic and timeless pieces from established contemporary electronic music artists.
Following the successful reissue of 'Myam James Part I' in 2018, Lapsus Records once again turns to cult producer Kettel aka Reimer Eising to offer the second instalment of his stunning work that in 2019, also marks ten years since its original release date on Dutch label Sending Orbs.
'Myam James 2' was the much anticipated continuation of a work that revolutionized the IDM scene and ten years on it sounds as fresh and current as ever. Although it was created as a conceptual extension to its prequel, on this occasion the album’s acid lines seem to develop in a way that allows space for melodic ambient passages and more intimate compositions, revealing Eising’s classical training and incorporating instruments including the cello and acoustic piano. The 'Mayam James 2' blueprint is extraordinary, with energetic braindance and electro tracks interlaced with sonic interludes, often reminiscent of French minimalism and impressionism –'Shinjuku Inn', 'Sauce' and 'Song From 4pm Herring' are good examples of this.
This year Lapsus Records will celebrate the tenth anniversary of this audio treasure with a special collectors edition double vinyl pressing, re-mastered by Xavier Alarcón and accompanied by a lithographic print from the original artwork by illustrator Jeroen Advocaat. This deluxe reissue will also contain two unreleased tracks produced at the time of the album’s original release: 'Boltklap' and 'Lisenlily'.

Lhasa is the brainchild of Alain Raes from Siegen, Germany. As a teenager he was inspired by Tubeway Army's 'Are Friends Electric' and Art Of Noise's 'Beatbox'. In 1985 he began collecting analog equipment (Prophet-5; Oberheim OB-X; Linn LM-1) as digital synthesizers had started to become more popular. In 1986, New Beat was born in Belgium. Dancers tapped into the darker side of synth pop, and DJs would play 45 rpm records at 33 with the pitch control set to +8. Alain was playing in New Wave bands and had started production work and synth programming for other acts.
In 1988 he self-released the debut Lhasa single 'Acetabularia' / 'Acetatechno', with help from Kris Tremmery on vocals and concept. The record combined the icy melodies of Gary Numan and John Foxx with with the mechanical rhythms of Detroit techno and EBM. Thematically, both tracks revolve around the end of life on Earth, and include samples from 'Dr. Strangelove'. For this first time reissue, we've added 4 bonus tracks rescued from a 1990 recording session DAT tape. These demos show further development of the Lhasa sound with updated instruments (Roland D-20, Yamaha TX16W, Korg 707), faster tempos, and menacing proto-rave energy. All songs have been mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each copy includes an 11x11 poster with photos and liner notes by Alain.

After just 6 months since first seeing Big Yawn perform, we are thrilled to welcome them to the Research family. A compelling prelude to their debut album "No!" due out in late 2019.
Over six years the Melbourne-based group has evolved, with members of the band running various releases through label and collective Fallopian Tunes. As of 2019, Big Yawn had become a four-member music group, motivated by a history of studio production, prolific collaboration and quality hangout time.
The groups freshest effort 'Skin Rat/Thomas' captures the band performing live in the studio, and it's typical Big Yawn: fat and punchy low-end bass; drums and live drum processing; delay fx samples; thick syrupy synths. 'Skin Rat' is a hyperbolically dubbed out, tongue in cheek, magnetic blend of UK garage, footwork and breaks. And 'Thomas' takes cues from a slightly damaged post-punk sound, amplifying a brittle and sinister type of atomic porn-funk.
Limited to 200 copies. Hand numbered and housed in a screen-printed sleeve, artwork by Julian Hocking.
