Down Jones puts 2 big bad and heavy tracks out on Foulplay Dubstep imprint uptill this release it has been a strickley digital label but with these 2 tunes they had to go out on vinyl. Dumb it down is an industrial styley track but with a hard ragga vocal hook to suck you into the tune. Do it to it features a raw hip hop vocal and with 6 block on the remix you know it's a heavy tune.

Hard House Banton is back with this aptly titled EP. The producer responsible for 'Sirens', one of the biggest UK Funky House anthems to date - along with other monster hits including 'The Music' and 'Reign' - is about to write his name large on the scene again with this release featuring four all-new bangers, including the mighty 'Colonel' which is being heavily selected by DJs right across the board. The tracks possess the hard hitting style that Hard House Banton is widely loved for as well as fusing new sounds into the music to maintain his position at the top of the funky heap. Also includes 'AWOL', 'Bassline', and 'Horny'. Big name DJ supporters include Kode9, DJ Cameo, Marcus Nasty, and Sir Spyro.

First released in 2009 alongside Eight : FX's 'Future : Dubstep' compilation CD, Hatcha's two club smashes here were created alongside Lost - a producer who since being signed exclusively to the H.E.N.C.H label has received consistent support from dubstep's biggest DJs. On the flip Bare Noize followed up their chart-topping debut release 'Make Some F*cking Noize' with a brace two of their ominous bass anthems.

By 2008, Hatcha & Kromestar were already two of dubstep's biggest and most established artists, creating their own deep, dark and dirty niche within the sound. Their debut LP 'Brothers Grim' is eight tracks of an unending torrent of speaker destroying dubstep beats. Widely considered the originator of dubstep and the scene's first DJ, Hatcha has been there from day dot, as the frontman for dubstep's first regular club FWD>>, mixer of Dubstep's first major compilation CD, and A&R man for the fabled Big Apple label. Kromestar is a regular at DMZ & Deep Medi nights, and through his DJing and his productions his name has become synonymous with the ever evolving and constantly progressing sound.

The 'Diablo Riddim EP' is the third release from Belgrade imprint Svetlana Industries, following well-received vinyl outings already this year by Filtercutter (with Ramadanman refix) and the acclaimed 'Tropics EP' from Teebs and Jackhigh, which drew praise from figures such as Mary Anne Hobbs, Hudson Mohawke, Dorian Concept, and FaltyDL. Where Filtercutter was playful and stripped, and Teebs and Jackhigh between them invoked a hazy otherworldliness and hazy, Serbian producer Piece Of Shh... dials up a direct line to aggressive, dark and focused. Although his will be a new name to most international listeners, this is not POS's first outing on wax, having previously released a 7" on Berlin's Ear Wax label under the name Belgradeyard Soundsystem, which was subsequently featured by Bonobo on a mix for Solid Steel / Ninja Tune. More recently he scored major success as one half of techno duo Cheap'n'Deep, whose 'Words, Breaths And Pauses' 12" put out through Berlin's infamous Hard Wax got onto the playlists of Marcel Dettman, Josh Wink, The Black Dog, Laurent Garnier, DJ Hell, and Surgeon. On the original version of 'Diablo Riddim', POS starts with a stiff rhythm reminiscent of Martin Kemp and the Blunted Robots crew, while the synth stabs recall the Berlin-influenced bass sounds of Hot Flush or Martyn. The surprise factor kicks in when he introduces a burbling 303-style acid funk line to take the track into far grimier territory, boogie-backed with brooding aggression and relentless forward motion. Next up comes a remix from Zomby, his first drop since the Actress re-rub back in March. Zomby likes to surprise and this track is no exception, combining his familiar gloopy sounds with that ebbing and flowing beat effect he's made his own, running over a heavily chopped halfstep beat. Spanish producer Hektagon (Z-Audio/Freakz of Nature) puts up probably the most obvious dancefloor banger on the EP, taking the forward drive and gnarly toughness of the original and coupling it with a dubstep shuffle beat. The deeper and tripper he goes, the more he emphasizes the melodic aspects and adds some more of his own, shaping them in a beautifully rounded dynamic to produce a tune that alternates beauty with power in a high energy anthem. Finally, and exclusive to this vinyl release, the last track is two minutes of acid loops at 140bpm to be sampled, scratched or dropped over beats at will. Svetlana Industries releases are mastered and cut at South London's famed Transition Studios, where faultless club sounds have been honed and tempered since before the dawn of time.

Since his first appearance on Nonplus, ASC has been hard at work on his LP and its finally here. Starting with a 12' sampler he dives right in at the deep end with 'Phobos' in which electronic grooves and micro samples entwine against a backdrop of dramatic tones and industrial hits. Followed on the same side by the atmospheric hiatus 'Oort Cloud' you have a good inclination of the impending album by now, but are also treated to the AA-side 'Matter Of Time'. Like a continuation of his debut Nonplus 12' track 'Porcelain', his crafty use of oriental sounding percussion, windlike sounds and melodies combined with an efficacious bass line make this track very hard to listen to in its entirety before you reach for the reset. The album touches on many genres from start to finish such as the 4×4 offering of 'Textura', or the almost indescribable step of 'Yatta', but one common theme that this album holds throughout is the amalgamation of influences derived from all genres of music and ASC's ability to combine these to create something new and unique.

.An underground legend with releases on MJ Cole's personal label, Profile, Reading lad Duncan Powell offers a classic slice of, as Jackmaster (Wireblock/ Numbers) described it, 'James Bond Step'. A big string laden anthem. A goldmine of musical elements, Pushing was ripe for the remix treatment and as Falty DL was a big fan of the original, and as we were a big fan of him, set him to work stripping back the cacophony of melody transforming Pushing into a dark, broken 2-step swinger with flashes of vocals and strings, to awesome effect. Played and supported by the likes of Modeselektor, Peveralist, Diplo, Simbad, Desto, Sinden, Mary Anne Hobbs among others. The guest illustrator on this release is Audrey Rogers, a fine artist/ illustrator with a visual style which quickly resonated with the 2nd Drop guys and fitted nicely with the 12~ format.
