Deep in solitary lockdown, Hamilton has been crafting these next cuts with the meticulous precision. These two tracks present the perfect backdrop for his comeback, presenting him as a veteran artist who effortlessly combines the famed 90s vibe with contemporary production.

And after the ongoing success of his Schema EP, as well as the huge reception to his release 'Fire/Be There', this is a welcome return.

With pent up aggression and pounding breaks, 'Feel the Fury' rolls out first ominously. Cracking high hats and quick-fire percussion adds a layering that helps carry the record's forward motion. Alongside a bassline that coils, and then lashes out over a plunging drop, you're thrown between the snap, crack and whip of a hugely intricate composition. Hamilton is back... And he's here to re-educate you with his unfaltering skillset.

On the flipside, 'Track 8' is an innovative slice of drum & bass which is both fun and drivingly relentless. Bouncing subs, coupled by distorted synths take you through elevated note patterns of gradually building, musical imagery. It's a steppy riddim, one which doesn't completely crash on impact but instead is creeping in its intensity. It's Hamilton at his most diverse, yet again proving the versatility in his craftwork.

With another stunning delivery from Hamilton, 2015 is setting a precedent. One which the producer is sure to ride out into the future.

-Jungle Rollerz newcomer, Ilk takes us back to the mid nineties with the menacing 'We Don't Know'. Where rugged, hardstep breaks layered with ruffneck gangsta rap vocals and heavyweight bass tones ruled the jungle. This one's not for the lightweight junglist.

- Keezee's 'Burst Into Fire' presents us with an intense combination of rolling Amens and Apache breaks accentuated by heavenly, soaring strings and an infectious, booming bassline melody. Perfectly capturing the vintage vibes of a certain drum & bass'Headz' label.

- Bonus track, 'Fang & Claw' by Necrotype delivers an eerie synth intro peppered with lycanthropic horror flick samples before unleashing a barrage of layered and FX-ed amen breaks, growling mentasm stabs and subsonic bass booms. A masterful piece of neo-darkcore, junglism.

* Icicle's intentions are high as he returns with four brand new inventions that yet again rip up the rule book in favour of pushing the envelope that much further. Travelling from vocally enhanced highs to machine laden low-ends throughout, the 'Differentia EP' will leave the audience in awe.

* With my latest EP I've gone just a touch more dance floor than I have for instance with my last album 'Entropy'. We're in the middle of a tech drum & bass boom and I've tried to explore that a bit more but have gone looking for identity within the sound. Hence the name 'Differentia EP' which essentially is a sort of philosophical term for the definition of difference. For the A side I've collaborated with Tasha Baxter on a track with a big and cinematic intro describing 'the nothing', the vacuous evil entity out of never ending story, which I think captures the concept and mood of the EP well.' The versatility DC Breaks deliver time and time again has been solidified with this next output. After igniting festival stages worldwide with the heartfelt crescendos of 'Faithless' and 'Breathe', which they dropped to crowds of thousands last year, they've decided to flip the switch. 'Bad Flow' and 'Bambino' are fiercely reminiscent of the records that made the duo infamous. And they're returning to this signature sound, after reigning over the drum & bass genre's musical diversity. 'Bad Flow' is up first for the listener's rude reawakening. Cut up by a robotic, ominous vocal sample which slips between grinding subs and jutting drum patterns, it's a foreboding example of what to expect from the pair this summer. A grating construction of fluctuating beats and snapping snares, yet pumped full of stocky bass, it's one of their most ominous records to date.Rolling out next is 'Bambino', a clever take on its classic predecessor, one which still detonates crowds even years after its release. Similar samples are spliced and thrown into its mix, presenting a revamp that peddles itself on top of snapping kick-drum and steroid driven distortion.
After closing the sold-out Alexandra Palace 'Andy C All Night' show last month, anyone who wasn't present for their tear out assault will wish they had been. This single not only prepares you for their forthcoming shows - it also demonstrates what the producers have to offer in the coming months.

Originating from the bass-heavy hotbed that is London town, Frankee is one of many producers that are helping to shape drum & bass for a new era. And having already expelled himself from the tide of competition clawing for the top, he's created his own identity with nerve-twitching, eardrum encapsulating releases.

His debut 'Turning Point' EP saw him elevated above his predecessors, whilst monstrous sleuth 'Gully' became a track which resounded throughout last year, a sure-fire weapon for every dancefloor detonator.
This time, however, Frankee covers every base within the space of a four-track centrepiece. From the intricately woven feat of 'Deep Down', back to the zigzagging bassline of 'Drop it Low', every avenue is crossed to display his prestige in the world of production standards.

Bursting with vocal crescendos and peppered with moody percussion, 'Deep Down' pedestals the different shades of drum & bass that Frankee can conjure. Caan's voice stands at the record's core, creating heartfelt emotion which is difficult to shake off, weaving between its structure. Reminding of earlier productions, such as the 'Away' remix which paved the way for 2014, it's stocky composition ensures a hard hitting sound, whilst an arpeggio of piano notes softens the blow. A demonstrative masterpiece, it sees Frankee seep into the genre's every corner, whilst holding his title as a compositionally aggressive heavyweight.

Next up, 'Flim Flam' rolls out with a foreboding intro, building mechanically until you can almost feel the pressure on your nerve endings. It begins to break at the seams, before dropping into a driving riddim that chops and changes between thrown down beats. Humanlike reverberation propels the record forward through elevating switch ups; you're yet again left to bask in the quick-fire skill that Frankee reigns supreme over.

A fairground of musicality, 'Drop it Low' is the perfect reintroduction to Frankee's ability to flip the switch and take you into a quirkier dimension of sound. The riff is undeniably catchy; grabbing you by the shoulders and submerging you in pulses of reverberating subs. Snapping, biting and with commanding vocal samples that literally throw themselves at you, Frankee is back and proving his merit.

And lastly, is 'Snarl'. Creeping, progressively intimidating and with an impact which is often missed by other producer's, 'Snarl' is imposing but without the shoutiness. Clacking high-hats and drum-patterns which lead you between breaks are diced up by unnerving atmospherics. This is Frankee at his most subtle; it proves his ability to master tracks which are diligent, dark but refined in their execution.

So, yet again this is Frankee adding another rung to the ladder of his career; although this time, he's wrapped up every stylistic feature he's grasped within one record. Since his debut, Frankee was hailed as one producer to watch. This release only goes to reaffirm this statement, with 2015 looking to be an equally huge year.

Undoubtedly one of the most iconic and legendary reggae labels to come out of the UK,Fashion Records has a rich and deep history that reaches far beyond the world of reggae. The brainchild of John MacGillivray and Chris Lane, two music devotees who started the Dub Vendor market stall in Clapham Junction selling imported reggae and dub vinyl during the late 70s (which later went on to spawn the hugely popular Dub Vendor shops), a dub cutting studio and label was set up in 1980 and started generating hits instantly, regularly topping the UK reggae charts and attracting attention further afield. Soon a recording studio was built, which served as a drop-in for most of the Jamaican stars passing through London at the time.

Horace Andy, Johnnie Clarke, Alton Ellis, Frankie Paul, Junior Delgado and many more household names all spent time in the A-Class studios during the early days, although it was the stars of the new UK reggae explosion that really put the label on the map. Alongside artists such as Dee Sharp, Keith Douglas, Papa Face & Bionic Rhona, the label was a springboard for talents such as Asher Senator, Macka B,Andrew Paul and Smiley Culture, the latter scoring a top 20 hit and a couple of appearances on Top Of The Pops with his 1984 single "Police Officer".

Going from strength to strength, it was the chart explosion of dancehall in the early 90s that saw more international names come flocking to the label and more hits racking up - far too many to list here, but a brief glance through the discography shows Cutty Ranks, Papa San, General Levy, Top Cat, Tenor Fly, Daddy Freddy and Wayne Wonder all recording sides for the label. Subsequently another more uniquely English style of dance music began using acapella samples from the label, jungle. Based around the soundsystem style of Jamaican music, with an emphasis on the cutting drums and heavy basslines, young jungle producers used many of the tracks recorded and played by the previous generation as the music's backbone, the vocals given new life by the rudimentary samplers being used in bedroom studios all over the land.

Fast forward 25 years and those reverberations are still being felt today - drum & bass, dubstep, hip hop, trap and almost any other sub-genre of what many now refer to as "bass music" has the DNA of reggae and dancehall running through it, so its only right to expect a little payback. A&R'd by music fanatic and owner of the NICE UP! record label, Jon Sheppard - "Inna NICE UP! Fashion" aims to bring new life to some of these legendary tracks by having modern day producers rework them in their own style and re-introduce them to a new audience. From the frantic breakbeats of rave-revivalistSpecial Request and the bottom end sonics of Radio 1's Toddla T & Melé, to the modern minimalist dancehall-tech of Machinedrum and the digital dub drone of The Bug, there is plenty to get excited about here. Poland's Radikal Guru serves up some classic dubstep, Germany's Jahtari crew take it back into 80s nostalgia with their 8-bit dancehall style, whilst modern reggae producers Wrongtom, Jstar and Mr Benn all show why they are on the forefront of the UK reggae revival. The tempo gets upped for some heavier jungle inspired remixes from Aries & Gold Dubs, Serial Killaz and festival favourites Dub Pistols, giving a little bit of something for everybody.

* SB81 delivers three huge tracks for Headz Platinum and it's easy to see how much the wolves native has grown in confidence over the last year. He is now closely working with Metalheadz with a massive remix of a label classic under his belt, the support of Goldie and regular plays from the labels finest DJs.

* The aesthetic of EP takes on the 90s sound and takes it into the modern age with the SB81 edge we're becoming accustomed to.

* The time has come for SCAR to broaden its horizons. As a production duo Survival & Script initially made a name for themselves by supplying rugged dancefloor workouts but there is a much larger story to tell here and with The Orkyd Project album this story will be told.* Production collaborations have been kept to an absolute minimum aside from vocal features; Naomi Pryor is the ever present voice of the album with further contributions from Eleanor Higgins and Ray Uptown.* The influences for The Orkyd Project shine a further light on the story; from Bill Withers to Massive Attack via Eric B and Rakim.* When initial conversations took place between Goldie and SCAR regarding the album Goldie gave the guys full license to create whatever they wanted and what we have been given is a melting pot of 2016 London music. Soul exists beside screw face.* It's important to note that Drum 'n' Bass hasn't been abandoned by any means, the hall marks of SCAR are ever present and correct- the blue print has just been expanded upon.

As one of the pioneers of the signature Hospital Records sound Logistics already has an impressive succession of albums, EPs, collaborations and remixes in his repertoire. Fortunately for us he's adding one more to the list with his incredible sixth studio album, 'Electric Sun' filled with jungle flavoured rollers, garage-inspired chop-ups, down tempo head-nodders, swirling synths and merciless subs.
