Off-world Colonies is a label set up by myself, martianMan to release tunes under two aliases, DJ Gaff & Cityspeak. This is another outlet for me to continue being creative. While the concept is heavily influenced by the film Blade Runner, it is also influenced by the industrial future that most science fiction depicts, While remembering the music from the past were are able to shape the future.

A1 - DJ Gaff - Technology is a soap opera in a tune. It's a journey into the future with it's feet firmly planted in the past. From the beats to the bass to the strings, through the switches and changes and programming - this tune is one that I'm quite proud of. I hope you enjoy it too.

A2 - DJ Gaff & Cityspeak is the one I call Digital Tune' in my head because it reminds me a bit of his style. Layered breaks and deep bass are moving right along with nothing to stop them. The cool breakdown at the last drop is a nice touch, I think.

B1 - DJ Gaff - Dream Mechanics is very much influenced by the reinforced sound that I remember. Donnie Darko samples are a nice touch and the percussion the comes in on the last stretch before the end is what sets this off.

B2 - Cityspeak - Skinjob is an old school style amen jungle tune. That's just about all i need to say. If you like old amen jungle then i'm sure you're going to love this.

Make It Funky: This tune lives up to its name with jazz funk intro that eases you into the tune. Then boom a funky reece bass and amens for days and some massive break downs OH GOSH!. Serious bizzness here.

After piling up the hype this month through socials and support from BBC Radio 1, Drum&BassArena have finally put out their 'The Breaks EP'. Renowned and respected for releasing some of the genre's highest-selling compilation albums of all time, today's release by the leading scene champion's marks the first EP in over 10 years. Featuring influential artists like Shimon, Bladerunner, John B, A.M.C & Turno, June Miller & James Marvel - 'The Breaks' is a 21-gun finger salute to one of the most important founding elements of drum & bass: the breakbeat.

Allied is the alter ego of Brighton based Ali Seewoonarain who over the last decade has had a consistent output of great material on a myriad of labels. Such as, Sinuous Records, Rise Audio and the BNKR series by Methlab, among many others.

A) Allied - Nth Degree
Allied kicks off the release with the A-side Nth Degree'. As we roll into the spacious intro of the track, one seamlessly floats around space with a funky drummer playing the soundtrack to the journey at hand. The drums fade away and make room for stabs that rhythmically lead into the main section. Ready, set, Warp speed engaged.

Retaining the intro funk it brings you into a stomper of grand proportions that just keeps on rolling.

The fast paced sounds break down into a moment of bliss, but the journey is far from over. The drop kicks in with arpeggiating soundscapes echoing off into another dimension sculpting a world before your very eyes.

B) Allied & Lockjaw - Flow State
Next up Allied teams up with Australian based Lockjaw. With this track we're roaming around the jungles of space. The sounds of birds, nature and more are laced within the deep grooves of bell hits that fill the forest sounding landscape of the introduction.

Crunchy-distorted bass hits shift the vibe to a strong, deep stepping track which will surely be a treat for any soundsystem lover.

Trading out the distorted bass grooves for shuffle hits give the track a well thought out diversity within the switch as it blends the deeper bass grooves with more melodic elements.

The breakdown is nothing short of sweet as it gives you a clear moment to collect your thoughts. It encompasses the vibe of the intro with a grand buildup that perfectly prepares you for the second, soul twisting drop.

This is the third AKO Beatz release; DJ Stretch has collected four of the highest pedigree, contemporary jungle and drum & bass producers to rework his heavyweight 1996 jump-up classic 'Hungry Tiger'.
London based Serum sets the ball rolling by overlaying the trademark kung-fu flick dialogue with stepping breaks, ominous horn sounds and fierce bass growls. Next up the Dublin junglist, Ricky Force provides a bass heavy, roller with lashings of chop-socky, fighting effects.
Foundation X label founder, Skitty drops his thundering amen led refix with elastic bass twinges and additional Reese throbs, while Tim Reaper closes things off with an tearingly intense amen-break workout with some serious choppage and spacey FX going on.
Altogether the 'Hungry Tiger Remixes' provides four essential drum & bass updates of a seminal piece of jungle history for 2015. Don't sleep on this one!

Gunmen is the cooperative project of junglist Tony Anthem and PsychoFreud. They are proud to present the first of many tunes to be released on their own imprint. First up are the dancefloor fillers Chase The Devil and So Mi Like It. Amen!

SCAR return to the label for the first time since the release of their debut album, 'The Orkyd Project', with a 4 track EP entitled 'The Wrong Side' which without doubt highlights some of the duos best work yet.Naomi Pryor, whose voice featured strongly across the album, takes the lead on the title track with some haunting but playful vocals, whilst SCAR have also invited the legendary 2 Bad Mice to put their own unique stamp on 'The Wrong Side'.
'Make Em Know' shows further versatility in SCAR's work and is guaranteed to be favourite on the dancefloor in the years to come. Rounding off the EP is 'Beside Me' with another vocalist you may remember from 'The Orkyd Project' - Eleanor Higgins. Alongside her wonderful voice is Ben Hadwen on saxophone and flute duties, bubbling over to create one of the jazziest pieces of drum and bass you're likely to hear in a while.o

Phuture-T dials up Dub and Drumfunk from the samples of Greenleaf's New Orleans influenced track, Forward Motion. The beats are more broken and the effect delays are longer. The signature interview recording has been chopped and used as downbeats on the progression changes.

With melodic and rolling percussion, Earl Grey creates a cheerful vibe to start the Ominous Maze remix. The intro leads straight into the body of the track when the contrabass becomes the dominant instrument making the tone tougher. The drum breaks transition through several change ups and syncopated edits.

Metro gives MHC a new treatment with extra field recordings and an extended break down. The Jungle influence is stronger with bigger, funkier subs. Classic break beats are layered with sound effects and noises all supporting the main rhythm of the bassline.

For our 4th release on Supercharger we are welcome to welcome Pastaman, Omen Breaks and Vocoda for their Supercharger debuts alongside Supercharger resident jungle badman Simply Dread. 4 slices of jungle fire to mash up any dancefloor...

After kicking things off with Sean Thomas' (Cop Envy) The Weigh, Sydney's Outer Time Inner Space return with a collaborative EP from Jon Watts, the kind-hearted, go-to sound engineer of the Sydney club and experimental music scene and OTIS label owner, Hugh Burridge (AKA Hubert Clarke Jr). As resident DJs for OTIS' Sweet Echoes parties and guests for some of Sydney's more open-minded club promoters, Jon & Hugh have developed their own style of warm up set, largely unrestrained by genre. Another View is just an extension of this open approach to club music. There's an obvious ode to Bukem's Good Looking Records, a lopsided MPC jam that could have been written by a drunk Ron Trent, a club roller with UK broken beat at it's heart and a spaced out, dream-scape dub from Melbourne mate, Rings Around Saturn (Dan White) to round out the EP. The common thread, they're keeping it deep.

Secret operations is proud to present another releases from Seba. Stasis is track that started as an experiment with Native Instruments Maschine. Different drumpatterns triggered in sequence is a big part of the arrangement, and the track evolves in to a soundscape that Seba is so well known for. Inner world was sitting unfinished on Sebas laptop for years, untill he decided that now is the time to finish it. It brings memories back to the days of early Metalheadz and to the early days of Seba&Paradox.

One of the UK's freshest new drum & bass talents drops his debut solo single on Critical, this one is simple mammoth! Emperor has
been making waves over the past couple of years moonlighting with various camps but it was the keen ear of label boss Kasra that
cottoned on early drawing him deep into the Critical ranks. If this new single is anything to go by, one of the best decisions Critical
could have made.
The cinematic intro of 'Begin' is beautiful blend of strings, reversed fx and the sultry vocals of Georgia Yates who featured on the Enei
album last year. All build to a haunting dropout before the next stage, an absolute nasty tech-stepping future roll-out that's been
getting Fabric in sweat these last few months. Twisted, uplifting and wonderfully emotive, this is another slice of Critical magic.
Next up and we're treated to the vintage double-bass grooves of 'She Said'. Another huge epic intro featuring a soaring vocal drifting
over ethereal pads features here as hi-end percussion leads into the fattest bassline for a properly funked up dance floor workout.

A spectre looming large across the underground since his early days with Reinforced, Sonar's Ghost announces his debut on Rupture. With a masterful balance of delicate melodies, raw drum breaks, and cratering bass, he pays homage to two of the biggest names in drum and bass, Dillinja and Source Direct. A welcome addition to the Rupture catalogue, the beats of Sonar's Ghost carry his trademark nuance, revealing something new with each spin.

Next Phase Records is proud to present their second foray into vinyl with this four track EP of intricate and emotive Drum and Bass. It features exclusive new music from Moving Shadow pioneer DJ Trax as well as Enjoy, Earl Grey, Infest and Drummotive. To The Generation will be available on red vinyl with a sleeve designed by label curator Robbert Peperkamp.

On the A side Infest and Drummotive incorporate ballistic amens, reggae vocals and skank out basslines to forge a dutty slice of jungle fit for any dance floor.

Earl Grey crafts sophisticated drum patterns around heavenly chords and inspirational dialogue before launching into an accomplished section of breakbeat science.

The B side kicks off with DJ Trax sourcing inspiration from the big warehouse anthems of 1994. Soulful vocals and melodic amen patterns combine to form a joyous summer anthem. In contrast Enjoys contribution is menacing and sinister, much like the animal it's named after. Brooding effects and ominous pads help to create a sense of fearful apprehension.

A strong staple in the drum and bass scene for over a decade, Gridlok is no stranger to whipping up heavy, power-fuelled tracks guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. Ready to cause more chaos with a fresh spin on his trademark concoction of hard-hitting drums and driving basslines, Gridlok now gears up to unleash 13 face-melting new tracks on his new Z3R0 H0U2 LP.

Gridlok has been heading up his own label Project 51 Recordings since 2003 and has worked alongside some of the most high-profile artists in the scene, including Shy FX, Pendulum and Prolix. Dark, grimy and uncompromising, it's the Florida-born producer's experimental sound which gives him his unique edge.

Z3R0 H0U2 brings together a fiery selection of tracks to reaffirm Gridlok's reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Fans with a taste for the darker edges of the music spectrum can expect an album packed full of only the very best murky drum and bass as Gridlok makes a beeline for the early hours dancefloor. Twisting and turning through a mixture of fast-paced percussion and powerful rolling beats, Z3R0 H0U2 solidifies the artist's status as a true pioneer of one of the more off-centre subgenres

2017 heralds the return of the mighty Delta to his recently reanimated Microdot Recordings label with 'EP-1'. Across four-tracks of cutting edge drum & bass, we are treated to a diverse release that is already receiving heavy rotation from scene leaders LTJ Bukem, DJ Marky, DJ Flight, Resound, Need For Mirrors and Scaramanga Silk.

Over the years, Delta has showcased his various talents across many of the finest labels in the genre including Reinforced, Creative Source, Hospital, Dread, Penny Black, Liquid V, Ebony and Critical. Few producers can claim to have such an impressive catalogue of releases but Delta has achieved this status by having an uncanny ability to switch his hand to multiple styles, constantly reinvent his sound, fearlessly experiment and always hit the mark with world-class production. He does all this whilst keeping a firm eye on the heart of the dancefloor.

'EP-1' will prove to be a vital weapon in the box of any discerning DJ this summer and beyond. Delta has fired up vintage pieces of equipment in his studio in order to create the classic sound whilst simultaneously pushing the boundaries again by adding new twists and ideas across a broad range of drum and bass flavas. 'Dreaming From The Hip' kicks things off with an infectious vocal hook over a rollin' number that combines Soul, Funk and Techno into something that will remind fans of the Swerve era and seminal Creative Source releases. This is one in the signature Delta style. Next up is 'Feel' which delves into a dark, hypnotic affair with nods to House, 2-Step Garage and early Hardcore with the SH101 playing a prominent part alongside vocal stabs that drive the groove in an epic and eerie direction. 'Kundalini Serpent' opens the flip as L. Victor makes a stunning guest appearance on sax to bring a snake charming vibe to this deeply meditative hybrid of Jazz, Techno, Latin and Dub that summons an immersive energy to rise up your spine. Ending the EP is 'Second Wave' which sees Delta further demonstrate his love for Techno and Electro as he twists elements of driving Juno bass, Pro One melody line, scattered drums and Oberheim pads into something uniquely original and fresh.

Delta is well and truly back in full effect with 'EP-1'. This superbly eclectic record is a fine example of how to smash raves when you can expertly blend heritage with innovation. Once again, this respected and established artist proves that he is a boundary pusher that you simply cannot afford to miss out on. With more releases already in the pipeline, be sure to keep an eye out for the man like Delta.

Offmenut Records, for his solo production and as one half of Phatworld, alongside Tich from The Squire of Gothos. 'Isabigting' is
straight up mutant bassline, with his warped, glass-like bass and hip-hop vocal.
A2 - Hailing from Germany, CPTN has making people stand up and take notice with his heavy, deranged bass, with releases on
Offmenut, Kitty Corner and a forthcoming EP on Kanji Kinetic's 'Mutant Bass Records'. 'Spazzo Rod' is a thunderous bass monster,
with its intense, grinding, fucked-up bass.
B1 - Sheffield's Thorpey's known for his take on the mutant bass sound and has had strong releases on Offmenut, Mutant Bass and
Bass Hound, to name a few. He usually makes 4x4 but here he drops heavy dubstep track 'Trippin' Balls' with a harsh, wobbly
bassline and tight, solid kicks.
B2 - Glasgow's LZWretch debuted on the digital release of Horror Boogie 01, with a raved-up bassline remix of Kanji Kinetic's
massive 'Citizens Unite'. 'Far From Home' is in a similar vein - rave stabs, breaks and a huge bassline.
