Ova Doce put out his own self-funded 6-track EP on a white label in 1992. There were only 250 copies made, making this original EP a very collectable record. Some of the tracks were a little bit on the cheesy side and Ova Doce was keen not to release them all again. So we as a label ran a poll on our Facebook page and with the help of our fanbase, decided which tracks would feature, two in total. One is on this EP (Feel The Rush) and the other (AllNite) will appear on ‘Rediscovered #02’.

The other 3 tracks that appear on this EP are all unreleased tracks that Ova Doce made in 1992 and revived using the original Amiga disks and lots of time and skill! I think you will agree that these new tracks deserve to be enjoyed for the first time, albeit 28 years after they were made.

This is a proper delve into the high energy UK rave scene of the early 90’s.

Ramos is a name synonymous with hardcore from the 90s, usually working with his friends in Supreme and Sunset Regime. But this is something different from one of the south coast’s finest. Producing solo but utilising the amazing vocal talents of his muse, Elayne. This EP features 4 very differently styled mixes of one amazing track. First is the Breakbeat mix, which is in the style of early hardcore rave music, when breakbeat first met piano. Then it’s technically the only remix on the EP, from Stu Chapman. Stu does what he does best and sets his version firmly in the 93/94 era of hardcore but with his own twist. On the flip side, Ramos takes his own spin on the later breakbeat hardcore style. It has a 1995 vibe to it with all the energy and vigour you would expect from Ramos from that time. Finally we round this EP out with a more chilled version in the Deep Breaks Mix. This is the version you listen to when you wish to unwind after a heavy night if raving.

After having reissued five of his albums last year, the unstoppable beatmaker Degiheugi today completes the great retrospective on his past discography by announcing the release of his first two albums, in fully remixed and remastered version, available on vinyl for the first time. It is in a new light that purists will be able to (re)discover his first album “Aquilon”, released in 2005, which oscillates between instrumental hip-hop, breakbeat and electronic spleen. The album cover has also been redesigned down to the smallest detail for this deluxe version, to which is added a remix as a bonus. Degiheugi himself revisited one of his very first flagship titles "Un jour de printemps" for the occasion. Originally very downtempo, he offers a new version which this time takes on soul and afrobeats accents accompanied by gleaming brass with highlife sounds. The reissue of his first two albums thus completes, the beatmaker's vinyl discography with a total of eight albums, including the latest "Foreglow", released last year.

When the frontier between night and day begins to thin, as dancers' eyes fill with a strange emotional haze and lovers' lips grow numb, white flowers bloom away from the city's consuming gaze, flooding across peaceful fields and hills as so many beacons to cling to when entering the mist of dreams. First incursion of longstanding Aus Music and Hypercolour affiliate Tom Demac on Kompakt, 'White Flowers' sees the British producer joining forces with London's Real Lies for a special round of otherworldly after-party soundtracking, melding the elegant, wistful minimalism of Demac's signature productions with Real Lies' lush mix of techno, pop and spoken word.

The three cuts on 'White Flowers' ooze a fine alloy of quick-consumed ecstasy, fresh heartbreak and shivery consolation, sitting on the very cusp of euphoria and vulnerability. The lead-track essays forth into deep, string-laden minimal techno terrains as the languid voice of Kev Kharas adds another dimension to the instrumental picture, making it a classic Kompakt affair in its own right. Pushing into a breaks-heavy, more openly club-ready direction, Demac's 'Felix' further emphasises the groove with a rousing blend of 303 bass and synth-y glitter, before the ambient version of 'White Flowers' tops it all off on a plain melancholic note. An evocative tale of loss and longing, tearful and cheering in equal measure, 'White Flowers' is a track that seeks the very apex of dancefloor emotionality.

Part 14 of the remixes series pulls exactly zero punches. Huge tunes with huge remixers is the name of the game. Slamming straight in with a massive remix of their seminal jungle classic, Ham & Poosie turn it up with “Thinkin About U”. A legend in his own time, Coco Bryce lays down a proper jungle techno remix of Hyper On Experience’s “D.A.T Coat”. A Champion Sound remix of NRG seems like overkill, and it is, in the best way…and the whole EP is rounded out by an insane Gothic Shade remix of the first ever KF release by Luna-C….

If you have followed Kniteforce Records for any time then you will know of Ross Fader, and this is his newest alias. Ross takes a slightly different approach to his EP compared to most but as he lives on another continent he tends to bring a slightly different outlook on the original rave scene to us Brits. However, this adds to the beautiful diversity that is Rave music, and Ross produces some truly beautiful Rave music! He has also embraced the hardware re-revolution, adding to that familiar sound, complimenting own personal touch.

Stu Chapman is a name that has been around for a long time, usually working with Boykz or DJ Nee, to great success. But this release is actually Stu’s first ever solo outing. Yes, I was just as shocked as you! This whole EP sits firmly in the early days of breakbeat hardcore, with every track sounding like they have just been lifted straight from 1993 or 94. They all keep to the authentic sound and style that made hardcore so good back then. The balance of light and dark is great, being neither and both at the same time. Ending a break of twelve years, The Villains Inc. returns from the past to deliver four lost tracks from the label mastermind himself! Author of a short yet remarkable discography on Dominance Electricity, Electro Empire, and Drivecom just to name, Italian don Gab.Gato takes this opportunity to revisit some of his classics by a quatuor of undisputed electro heavyweights.

UK veteran Phil Klein opens hostilities on A side with his outstanding remix of "Electro Empire". Originally released on German Electrocord back in 2003, Gab.Gato's version sees a luminous electro-funk treatment in pure Bass Junkie style. Needless to say this electro banger will hit you hard with its untouchable sub bass, oldschoolish tones, hammering drums and retrofuturistic atmosphere!

Italian techno / electro legend Max Durante, coming next, propels "The Villains Inc" cut to another dimension. Taken from the "No Light Or Shadow EP" (ATVS002 in 2008), the track mutes into a milestone of an experimental slaughter tinted with industrial sororities. Following a catchy Speak n' Spell overture, the song introduces some hot and sexy female orgasms, while a heading acid line enhanced by a straight to the point rhythm will drive you on the dancefloor.

US DJ / Producer Sinistarr on the flip goes deeper into the realm with his "Couterterrorism" rework of "A Scanner Darkly". Published on Boris Divider's Drivecom in 2007, the tune evolves into a completely fresh and transformed version. A frantic bassline carries you away on a fast inducing grimey dancefloor boogie combined with hi tones and no nonsense electro beat!

Last but not the least, Drexciyan Dj Stingray closes the EP with its groovy "313 Psycotropic mix" of "S.N.A", a tune written by Gab.Gato and Matteo Merlo in 2007 on "The Systematik Network Attack EP" (ATVS001). Stingray's mix sounds like a sonic, ethereal and thought after assault based upon cutting-edge sororities over playful vocals.

Craftily written and designed (artwork project by Gab.Gato, and illustrated by Simonloop aka Urbanmagic, in 2009 was prophetic on his own: clones programmed to reappear from the past), nasty "Reprogrammed EP" features the almighty ATVS signature we all know, a dark, magnetic and rough sound ranging from breakbeat acid-tinged to Detroit-influenced electro and techno style. Should we mention that this limited 12" (no digital) is expected to sell fast and earn the status of collectible masterpiece, just like the previous releases on the label!

Pannonia Noir is an all-Croatian affair: Zarkoff w/some sort of dark jack tracks & Honored Matres w/a style between Europian electro and minimal electronics. Both have a production quality born deep in the Zabreb freak parties. Pic sleeve.

Finnish imprint VIENO, continues the journey through emotional and experimental ambient sounds. Third release on the label is artist Otto Taimela´s album, Bluebird.

The eight track piece gathers together Otto´s heavenly melancholic ambient, breakbeat and his signature piano compositions.

Another essential pair of instrumental grooves from Sababa 5 and Batov Records, perfect for the beginning or end of the night.

Denham Audio makes his long awaited debut onto Club Glow with the Thirty Eight Snub EP. 4 ruff cut breakbeat jungle tracks feature the legendary Grime MC Trim on the title track.

park hye jin is a 24yr old female artist from Seoul that recently dropped her debut EP on Australian buzz label clipp.art. She is rapidly being hyped as the next big underground electronic talent to emerge out of Korea - after being the subject of the top thread on reddit's new music discover group (13.9m subscribers) with her breakout track 'I DON'T CARE'.

Garden Gaia is a part of Pantha du Prince’s ongoing exploration into the theme of ‘humans as nature’, a theme previously explored on his records Elements of Light (recorded with The Bell Laboratory) and 2020’s Conference of Trees.

Pantha du Prince on Garden Gaia: “There are scientists who say that we humans are ocean that’s been folded together. My music is about raising consciousness, about describing the reality of life and the lost paradise through the means of music. It’s about entering a free space and developing a maximum degree of openness and sensitivity to our bodies – to our mental states and the atmosphere that surrounds us. It’s about mindfulness and a high level of awareness towards what’s happening around and within us. I’ve poured all of these experiences into Garden Gaia as music. And that’s to be taken in the literal sense of ‘pouring,’ since we belong to a flowing process on this planet. A tree also flows into the air, just as it’s connected to other trees beneath the ground through currents of communication. Our lungs flow into our bodies. And as embryos, we were flowing beings. The question is: to what extent can we adult humans continue to flow?”

Griffe launches another starship into the endless expanses of music space — EP of young Lviv producer AC130, who has already confidently declared himself on the international scene with a successful release on EYA Records’ sister label — Lonewolf. The start of the new research expedition is planned on (release date), but the destination is unknown, as clearly stated in the title.
But we can be sure, all four tracks fulfill the mission entrusted to them with dignity. Purring acids, spacey synths in tandem with rhythmic breakbeats and electro patterns followed by convincing tech-house arrays — the musical palette of the record is varied, captivating, and is guaranteed to pique the interest of the audience and positively drive the dancefloors crazy. Ready to launch!

DNO hits double figures as Denver’s Trisicloplox & Sectra return with more industrial-strength electro-sludge.

Sectra sets the tone with ‘Mail Theft’, a hulking mass of sand-blasting static, insectoid jitter and low-end boom. It’s an intimidating, uneasy listen, like tuning through the haunting emptiness of post-apocalyptic broadcast frequencies, only to be interrupted by sudden bursts of unseen filth and gore.

Trisicloplox follows with a brace of tracks. ‘Bruised’ does exactly what it says on the tin, gargantuan kicks pummelling layer upon layer of dense sound into an impenetrable wall of noise. Ritualistic rhythms and gluttonous amounts of overdrive swarm over distant wails, sending everything into a spiral into despair.On ‘Megastructure’, doom metal meets hip-hop, as rough-hewn drums crunch above a bassline that takes its cues from the Super Hans School of Electronic Music: “The longer the note, the more dread.”

And finishing up the vinyl offerings is ‘Dead On Arrival’. Coming courtesy of Sectra, the most traditionally ‘club-focused’ effort of the lot sees a serrated breakbeat and venomous acid lick sparring over dissonant pads.

As always, digital listeners are offered a little bonus, this time the only full collab: ‘The Dead InTheir Shrouds’. Shunted along by a systematic kick, the track’s jackhammer subs become all-consuming, seemingly sucking all the air from the room and hurling it back out of the bassbins in a violent frenzy.

A bold release that’s not for the faint of heart, the ‘Dead Structure’ EP further cements Trisicloplox & Sectra as truly original talents and DNO as an outlet that can never be pigeonholed.

UK-based producer Yak is one of the strongest talents in percussive, bass-heavy club music. His debut record Mido, which appeared on Version in 2017, remains an ultimate DJ weapon (Hard Wax) up until this day and is still tearing up clubs and festivals everywhere. After releases on Martyn's 3024 and the es-teemed R&S label, Yak delivers his third record (vinyl & digital) on Version, Balmora Blue/Swex.
This is a proper double A-sider that will surely get your dance bubbling. Swex and Balmora Blue are future rave anthems coming with earth-shattering sub, warm, elevating synths - and the trademark Yak drums to resurrect a dead soundboy's nana. Both tracks range around 120 bpm, but will sound as crisp at high-er/slower pitch or rpm too, making them versatile tools in every DJ's chest. Another essential bit from Yak and Version. Played by Vladimir Ivkovic, Moxy, Madam X, Or:la & Breaka.

Voitax continue their forward thinking, explorative musical and visual output with the latest release on the label from the dynamic and multi-talented DJ and producer Giordano. Italian-born and Berlin-based, Giordano has established himself as a genre-defying selector whose vibrant, charismatic sets deliver unsurpassable energy via old-school rave, retooled UK bass wobblers, acid-dripped electronica and clever club experimentalism. On this six-tracker his sophisticated production skills and vast musical knowledge burst to the forefront, forging an irresistible path to all four corners of the dancefloor and beyond. Following previous releases on the likes of Soma and Savy Records, here Giordano reaches a new production zenith with "Transmute", crafting a metamorphosing set of breaks-infused bangers and carefully-sculpted rhythmic grooves.

Boogie Beat Records and Kniteforce bring you the “other” classic Baraka release – A Million And One. Almost as sought after as Nutty Bass, this classic remaster featured the original track plus a previously unreleased version. Both of which come with the expected weight and class of a Jonny L produced track!

Die 13 Tracks auf "Polymer", darunter energiegeladene Banger, helle, melodische, viszerale Rhythmen und hypnotische Strukturen, bilden das vielleicht kompakteste Album von Plaid. Das Duo ging Anfang der 1990er aus der Formation The Black Dog hervor und zählt neben Acts wie Aphex Twin, Autechre oder Nightmares On Wax zu den Eckpfeilern des Warp-Labels. In ihrer langjährigen Karriere arbeiteten Plaid zusammen mit Björk, London Sinfonietta und den Southbank Gamelan Players und füllten Venues vom Sydney Opera House über das Londoner Bloc bis zum Berliner Berghain. "Polymer" trägt all die Emotionen, Einflüsse und Inspirationen in sich und funktioniert als ihr Statement in modernen Zeiten.

Nach einer fünfjährigen Auszeit, in der er sich ganz unterschiedlichen Musikprojekten widmete, kündigt Squarepusher sein nächstes Studioalbum "Be Up A Hello" an. Für das neue Album setzte Tom Jenkinson nach vielen Jahren erstmals wieder auf dieselbe digitale und analoge Hardware, mit der er in den frühen 1990ern seinen Trademark-Sound definierte. Die Verwendung der Vintage-Synthesizer und -Effekte (inkl. eines Commodore Vic-20) markiert eine radikale Kehrtwende für den Briten, der auf dem Vorgänger "Damogen Furies" noch komplett auf moderne Tools und die neueste Software setzte, von ihm selbst im Laufe von 15 Jahren programmiert und optimiert. Das Ergebnis klingt vor allem ausgelassen, wenn Tom astreine Breakbeat-Tunes wie "Nervelevers" und "Terminal Slam" – klassisches Dancefloor-Material – vom Stapel lässt. Düstere Tracks wie "Vortrack" und "Mekrev Bass" belegen derweil, dass er nach wie vor ein Faible für perfekt ausbalancierten Psycho-Overload hat. Insgesamt verweist "Be Up A Hello" auf die Ära der DIY-Raves in Essex, deren Ekstase, Ausgelassenheit und Hemmungslosigkeit die ganze Herangehensweise von Tom nachhaltig prägen sollten.
