Along with vinyl releases, RRR play host to the massively popular oldskool hardcore and new breakbeat hardcore events ‘Calling The Hardcore’ based in Brighton\UK. Calling The Hardcore events focus on the underground sound of the hardcore genre. They are the southcoasts dedicated audio visual hardcore rave who have had artist performances from Slipmatt, Easygroove, SS, 2 Bad Mice, Seduction, Ellis Dee, DJ SY, Billy Daniel Bunter, Hyper-on-Experience, Kenny Ken, Ratty + Many more. The next event is 19th of July at Volks Nightclub in Brighton where Druid, Dr S Gachet, Jack Smooth, DJ Junk and many more will be rinsing out the underground hardcore music.

After a nearly three year hiatus, Rave Radio Records' Calling The Hardcore series is back with it's third instalment. 'Calling the Hardcore - Volume 3' is a triple disc album featuring twelve exclusive hardcore / jungle techno tracks including Hyper-on Experience, Jack Smooth, Secret Squirrel, Industries Of The Blend, Z-NEO, DJ Jedi, Worldwide Epidemic, Nicky Allen, Keezee, Blackmass Plastics, DUG and Try Unity.

As with previous releases in the series on Rave Radio Records, 'Calling the Hardcore - Volume 3' serves to push the scene forward and showcase both established and emerging artists. Even though the emphasis is on the darker side of hardcore this is an album that boasts variety as each artist approaches the brief with something unique. Salomo brings a double EP of tech and progressive house to R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings. This disc, RM12018.2 (Land) takes you up for a cruise through unknown landscapes before RM12018.2 (Water) takes you deep down into the depths. Both EPs are pieces of an entire work but are availably individually.

We started First Word Records in late 2003. The core team is based in London, but our roster is comprised of artists from all over the globe. As we look ahead to our 20th anniversary, and hit our 200th release, this EP is a collaborative effort from some of our current artists.

As a label, we've often championed musicians that create sounds that fall within the cracks of more defined-genres. Our aim has always been to highlight unique talent where we find it, and ultimately find things we deem worthy of inclusion in the great mixtape of life! Quite often the links may not seem apparent, but we feel blessed to have been able to slowly build a family of artists that not only have great respect for each other, but will quite often collaborate together without any prompts from us. This collection of music is a series of examples of that. 'A Family Affair'.

For this vinyl EP, there is a heavy dancefloor vibe, with four tracks that nestle within the realms of broken beat.

Following her debut EP 'Light It Again' for us in late 2020, Allysha Joy's track 'Better' is re-visited by the don Kaidi Tatham, who reworks the track in his own inimitable way; starting on a half-tempo neo-soul vein, before switching to his trademark fusion of bruk, boogie and jazz mid-way.

After a lengthy absence we're delighted to welcome back Quiet Dawn and Sarah Williams White, with a collaborative piece between the two entitled 'One By One'. You can expect longer projects from them both later in the year, but here's a little vibe to wet your whistle. This, the 'Bruk It' version doing exactly what it says on the tin.

On the flipside, we have a delicious rub of Takuya Kuroda's 'Fade' featuring the vocals of Corey King and taken from Takuya's highly-acclaimed LP 'Fly Moon Die Soon'. The remix work on this one courtesy of a killer combo in their own rights, KEARL aka Earl Jeffers (Darkhouse Family) and K15 (Profusion).

Speaking of K15, this EP closes out with his interpretation of Teotima's 'But I Can't' originally from their 2019 album 'Weightless'. Taking elements of the original vocal from Ellie Rose Rusbridge, K15 transforms this one into a dreamy boogie-tinged groove - previously supported by Mary Anne Hobbs and the like.

Two of these tracks have never been available on vinyl before, whilst the other two are brand new tracks being released for the first time on any format.

She is rapidly being hyped as the next big underground electronic talent to emerge out of Korea - after being the subject of the top thread on reddit's new music discover group (13.9m subscribers) with her breakout track 'I DON'T CARE'.

Fresh off the back of his highly acclaimed debut album on Astral Black, Footshooter returns to the WOLF Music pack following his ethereal remix of Velour last year, with an exquisite six track journey through his signature sound.

An amalgamation of genres, ideas and vibes blend seamlessly together throughout the record, showing a wealth of knowledge, alongside a production prowess to match. Kicked off by Japanese underground music veteran Keihin with Esoteric Communication EP, Prowler returns for its second instalment with Flail EP, which represents the first release of the label founder’s long time affiliate, Sumisonic, since his 2008 Cyclone for Statik Entertainment.

Sumisonic offers two original deep tech tracks generating his characteristic wobbly groove and off-kilter feeling over irregular drum patterns. Each track undergoes an out-there transformation in its remix, featuring Keihin and Ena, a founding member of the Back to Chill night who is well known for his releases on 7even Recordings and Samurai Horo.

Sunny Crypt’s fourth release brings you for the first time on vinyl four excepts from “Mortal - Deco”, previously released only on CD. In 1997, UK band Code decided to take an alternative approach to their more traditional one, finding ways to integrate non-musical element into their and letting the more melodic ideas develop in non-formulaic ways. So their anagram record “Code” was born under their one-off “Mortal” alias. The results is a mixture of ambient textures, trippy slowed-down techno, breakbeat patterns, and glacial dub with strong influences from what back then was labeled as chill-out, maintaining a certain 90s UK distinctive flavor.

DJ Sy & Unknown made a few appearances on Hectic back in the day but this is their first outing, and they really brought their A game to this EP! Both tracks are sublime examples of the early hardcore sound and they still sound amazing today. Are You Ready has the summer of 1994 written all over it, like a snapshot of that time and place. Then the flip is just another slice of history. More emotional, more of a journey through sound, and proof that breakbeat hardcore was and remains a beautiful genre that is still beloved many so many.

Miles away from the current UK jazz scene, a mysterious composer from the Nottingham area cooks raw and noisy library music with groovy jazz fusion and beat-heavy funk breaks tackling themes of satanism and witchcraft.

Having previously released music with Jazzman Records, Stones Throw subsidiary Now-Again and French label BMM Records, The Natural Yogurt Band presents the 7th album of his discography that marks an experimental turn.

Spores takes us on an obscure sci-fi journey into extra-terrestrial territories where tropical flutes, pianos, guitars and organs melt under corrosive electronic sounds, modular bird chirps and vintage drum machines sounds. This unsettling and immersive library album will be released on March 1st with a limited pressing of 300 green marbled records.

First Track comes from the one and only Dawl, The TDO co head honcho comes at cha with a techy, bleepy, detroity atmospheric stomper, This man is unstoppable with releases all the over place on so many labels, showing another side to his many musical talents, no breaks or electro but good solid techno bleeps , cracking first track.

Next we have Escape Earth, this is the collaboration of bufo bufo and corporeal face. A duo to look out for. This is a real breakbeat stomper with great little samples and a killer bass line. taking it real dark and strong, get any floor moving, lovely melodic strings and pads really move this track, Love the pads in the breakdown of this really kicks.

Track 3 welcomes new edition to the TDO family Kiddmisha, all the way from Kiev in the Ukraine. He has had many releases on latels such as Batti Batti , Fox Trax , Noneside and houseonwax. He also DJ’s all over the Ukraine. He brings us a quality little groove of a track, a great tool, that will keep any floor moving, kicks off with a lovely little break beat , then boom, in comes the bass, a real booty shaker, that will appeal to many different genres.

We now have the B side , First track is from the Other head honcho of TDO Sween in his guise as The He-Men alongside good friend Danny Beck.

This is a great dance floor workout track, kicking off with an electro break , with the usual stabs of FX that the He-Men love so much, them comes the big bass hook, a real electro feel, accompanied with the bleeps and explosions and vocal, this is a great atmospheric, floorfiller .

Finally we a very exciting new edition to the TDO family . 22 year old Marino from Nantes in France. He is the co founder of Hyperfrequence records and party collective and also linked wit the 44tours record shop,label and parties. this man is a real talent for the future.

His track is full on high energy Rave, starting with a killer break and time stretched vocal, he’s a real record digger and this shows in his track, As it kicks in massively with a real driving bass line and alarm bleep going throughout the track and that great familiar time stretched vocal, Breaks into some lovely deep strings before kicking back in with that driving pulsating bass line, a real great edition to TDO and Vol 10

After “Papua New Guinea” in 1992, The Future Sound Of London recorded under a number of guises and were active as writers and producers, working behind the scenes with celebrity artists and on film scores. Along the way accumulating revisiting music from their vaults and enhancing to bring fans a series of albums, “From The Archives”. In 2007 a collection of the most popular titles from the range on CD came together on one double LP but went out of print soon thereafter. Those original pressings now exchange hands for over £100. For Record Store Day 2024, a limited run of 1200 individually numbered copies are being made available again on double LP vinyl.

XUNTANZA is a galician word that means: The action of gathering a group of people to discuss an issue or have fun.

And this is what it is the first volumen of this VVAA series. A meeting point for great artists disccusing and having fun around ELECTRO music.

In this first volumen, four wizards of the scence will put his vision on this. Versalife, Cignol, Nullptr and boss label, Roi are the responsibles to open the debate on this gathering. Pure fun!

Jihoon links with some talented musicians including Thomas Xu, Omar Meftah, Eric Meftah and Ian Gold on this brilliant new three-tracker on One Spoke. It kicks off with the sublime 'Good In The Bad' which is a jazzy viber with flute lines dancing their own dance above lovely contemporary broken beats. 'There Is No End' layers chords, synths and jazz drums into a richly atmospheric groove before last of all the whole of the flip side is given over to a Thomas Xu & Ian Gold remix of 'There Is No End' that is gloriously sunny jazz-fusion at its finest. These will keep you warm no matter the weather outside this winter.

Originally released in 1993 on DJ Phantasy’s Liquid Wax label, it has now been repressed in conjunction with Vinyl Fanatiks on coloured vinyl.

One of Phantasy’s most sought after releases from back in the day, engineered by Alex Reece in Jack Smooth’s studio.

As always with anything on Liquid Wax, these tracks are big club releases as Phantasy was testing them out at all the raves in the early 90’s. But Phantasy always has a trick up his sleeve that makes his music sound incredibly original and still fresh to this day, 31 years later!

Acen's Trip To The Moon series is simply unmissable, and these color vinyl represses are severely limited in number. Spanning all the original mixes, plus new material and new remixes from the likes of Pete Cannon, Danny Byrd, Phuture Assassins and Scott Brown, every EP in this series is essential.

The quiet Irish mastermind is releasing new material on Tape Hiss. When he is not busy with his Monoak alterego, he works alongside Keith Tenniswood (Radioactive Man) and Simon Lynch (London Modular Alliance) as L-R to compose hard-hitting electro tracks. This time there is a diverse selection on the table: breaks, bass music, electro and techno. All with a bass-heavy, repetitive twist. The EP comes with a digital bonus tune 'Hitchcock'.

Pilot comes correct with a third new release in quick succession. We were big fans of the first two and this one is another muscular, action packed slab of wax from North Phase. Once again he draws on many different genres to cook up his floor filling beats. 'Electronic Funk' is a bit of a throw back to when the Plump DJs were good, while 'D1000' then gets more down and dirty on scuzzy bass and electro pops. 'Escape & Evasion' is the most heady of the lot with its sparse atmosphere and old school breaks and 'Halo' closes on a cosmic borne beat wig out.

Holly Lester’s Duality Trax imprint has quickly established itself as one of most exciting emerging labels from within the modern electronic circuit. Undoubtedly inspired by the golden era of house, techno, bleep and club, the label also has its crosshairs fixated firmly on the future and has become a one-stop-shop for the very best in early-hours euphoria and contemporary heads-down sonics.

Despite its young age the label already boasts a stellar back catalogue, releasing tracks and records from Fio Fa, Violet, Cromie, rRoxymore, Roza Terenzi and more – and the fourth in the series comes from Steffan Todorović and Joonas Aro under their Abdul Raeva alias.

Holly is no stranger to either artist, having set up the Terrazzo label with Gestalt Records and Coymix head Steffan. It’s a sonic match-made-in-heaven, with both contributing artists and label head sharing an admiration for bouncy, fun and deep club music that dangles its legs on the border of emotionality without taking itself too seriously.

The label head was first drawn to the lead track ‘Atlas Corporation’ with it’s soaring resonant lead reminiscent of the classic ‘Rez’ by Underworld. Ear-wriggling acid lines and psychedelic atmospherics balance a gritty and driving drum rhythm across a kaleidoscopic six minutes, before ‘Death Race’
blends techy dub with Abdul Raeva’s signature proggy sauce, best played as the sun begins to rise again.

Staying true to the concepts of gender and sonic duality, the remix comes from Australian DJ and Pure Space-founder Andy Garvey who turns in a breakbeat-laden, broken acid-techno rendition of the A2, before we come to a meditative close with the tropical, downtempo sounds of ‘Guardian of the Vault’.

Robbie Doherty's trajectory thus far has been nothing less than remarkable. After shooting to fame in 2019 with hit single 'Pour The Milk', the only direction has been up, with the Belfast producer taking his warm rave flavours as far as Australia and New Zealand.

For justification, look no further than his Shall Not Fade debut. Sick 'n' Tired is so colourful you can visualise it, with deep swung house rhythms, stripped-back emotional breakbeat and skippy garage house. Get stuck in.

Frogs 11 A side 'Studios, Squats and Trucks' is an epic 'Frogs' classic. You can only wiggle and smile once the fanfare driven groove starts. This tune will take you from a cabaret gipsy step to a hektic jungle knees up banger and finally wrap its cushty dub vibes around you. This progressive yet cohesive anthem nails the definition of Clown-Step once and for all.

This huge dance floor killer is the result of the collaboration between Ed Cox (Accordion/Prog), DJ Stivs (Drum Prog), Bang Crosby (Vox), Freddyfrogs (Prog), Waynes Maslin (Trombonne), Carl Davies (Clarinette/Sax) Frogs 11 B side 'Fucked up with you' will convince any raver to stand up and dance!
