After last years Hyperdub debut with the popular 'Set The Tone' EP, Ossie's been busy building a name for himself, as a DJ and a producer with both Ossie and Black Orange Juice releases. He comes back to Hyperdub here with the 'Ignore EP', sporting two catchy, housey, broken beat bombs. 'Ignore' features the vocals of Tilz, singing about the game of winding up the opposite sex, over bouncy, broken drums, neat stabs, and a bendy acidic bassline, with wave-like chords building up and down as if in reflection of the cat and mouse antics of the lyrics. 'Find It' on the B-side makes good with layering some roughly cut up female vocal samples, Todd Edwards-style, but twisted and dubbed into strange shapes, incorporating sloppy, dusty drums and a bassline that sounds like Wiley's early eski beat melodies, keeping the track rolling along and sounding mischievous and chunky. This release continues Ossie's building reputation as a house producer with a very British sound.

Swink Music Records will turn one this month and we are delighted to celebrate our Anniversary with our first Vinyl release :) We've recruited the tnwo Mancunian's Si Jones & Mike Morgan, better known as the duo 'Si'Ke DJ's', part of the exciting new breed of electronic artists that are emerging from the U.K with releases already on well established labels such as Applique Music and Say Ahh! Records amongst others. We're proud to have them join 'Swink Music Records' with their brilliant 'Snap Back EP'.

With lead track 'Snap Back', the guys deliver another trademark masterpiece. Hypnotic Organ riff, groovy shuffled percussion with deep haunting chords with a real 90's feel to it makes a wonderfully warm dancefloor trip, proving once again why the duo are on the rise this year and deemed 'ones to watch' by an array of big labels.

Tenament Yard craftily uses a "Sade" vocal which effortlessly flows through the track meeting big heavy chords with a killer driving bassline. Already their work has been recognised and supported by the likes of Bryan "Agent" Pepper and Washerman, this is definitely a peak time track that will get the whole club bouncing.

On the B-side Alex Agore's take on 'Snap Back' grabs your attention with the instantly recognisable M1! This perfect peak time weapon is engineered to lock you in the groove with a bouncing bassline, spacey pads and menacing Organ stabs. This is a smash right here - best of global daytime parties be warned!

Rounding of the EP is the remix from 'Malin Genie'. Another producer hot on the heels of Global success, this time from Amsterdam. Malin first caught our attention with huge tracks like 'Eye' and 'Aranoyas' both of which gained massive support on the underground House scene so it was an obvious choice to ask him to do a mix for us and he has not disappointed. A somewhat more relaxed approach that utilizes the parts well while catering for 2 step/garage fans a stripped back version of the original but still packing a mighty punch!

Tempelhof are Italian's Luciano Ermondi and Paolo Mazzacani, a very musical duo who have already released a much-respected full length on Distraction Records and several well received remixes. Now they debut with a four track EP on the ever-original Hell Yeah Recordings and continue to confound expectations with their pairing of electronica's precision with shoe-gazes textures and plenty of real instrumentals. ove -An Interpretation is the EP's mournful opener. Sparse and alone, it trills with haunting guitar notes as the rueful vocal swims in seas of echo and reverb. Around the mid-way point a cosmic beat kicks in and carries the whole arrangement off into space with twitchy electronics and acid rumbles colouring the background. Glorious Day opens with more thin, vulnerable keys and plenty of echo. The rubbery kick drums comes in immediately here as harmonic notes ring out and rise up toward the sky. It's hurt but optimistic and invites you to get lost in its glistening, swirling synth clouds for five day-dream like minutes.

Shenoda's forthcoming release on Hypercolour's little sister label Losing Suki (run by Kings of the Underground Jamie Russell and Alex Jones) is called 'A Homage' EP and is a painfully on point exploration of modern interpretations of garage. Shenoda, a UK based producer, DJ and freelance composer, has had previous releases out on Hypercolour, Fear Of Flying and Connaissour and has had ongoing support from underground heavyweights Mosca, Deetron and Martyn with his mid-2011 'Shots EP'. After recently bringing down the house (or shall we say tent) at Gottwood with a set that rivalled some of the most prolific acts there, Shenoda is quickly rising through the undercurrents of this new wave of super talented producers. 'A Homage' EP is a three track adventure of garage, house and techno and compiles in one release the sounds that the kids just cannot get enough of at the moment. The first track 'Flex' has a menacing, soul drilling sub bass, fast paced snares and whirring chords. One for the warehouse, big sound bass and affected vocals will have the rave arms pumping and the screwfaces forming nicely. 'Bubbles' has the same fusion house/garage vibe; complex drum patterns, percussive claps and disjointed vocal samples, with the continuing growling sub bass. High hit snares and well concocted rising and falling compositions means this track is constantly re-exploding, with consistent spine tingling drops. 'Every Time I Say' has the garage pitched up vocal cry, stepping kick drum and is the most 'garage' out of the three. Two-steppy, high note 'baby girl' vocals ensure this wouldn't be out of place in a Vauxhall rave circa 98, but it's fresher than that, and of course, beautifully produced. The honest truth is that this EP can only be described as 'naughty'. Shenoda's showcased his talent in a way that is perfectly in tune with the current soundscape trends of the moment and has executed it with brutal perfection, adding his own new unique twist. Soul Motive have always been representative of the current strains of Bristol's ever flourishing tapestry of music scenes so it makes perfect sense that the label would call on the Young Echo collective sooner or later. After some notable releases for fellow Bristol hubs Idle Hands and Punch Drunk, Kahn steps forth with another example of his undoubted talent for making music that spans the shades of the bass music spectrum with the rowdy yet soulful 2 step bump of "Angeles." This is Kahn in smooth mode, demonstrating his prowess at weaving vocals so that they form an integral part of the rhythm. Fellow Punch Drunk acolyte Superisk ensures it's an all Bristol affair with a remix that dampens the soulful nature in favour of something altogether darker.

After years of absence on the music scene, international techno superstar CJ Bolland returns with a big track that takes him back to his nineties origins, reminiscent of the 'Camargue' glorydays. Now ready to storm the dance music world once again, this is a taste of what's to come from the heart & soul of the techno mastermind.

Local Action kick off 2012 with a pair of vinyl-only tracks by DJ Q, including the massively hyped 'Brandy & Coke' limited red vinyl pressing.
