Als die selbstveröffentlichte und mit dem Bandnamen betitelte "Domkraft" EP im Jahr 2015 erschien, war sie für viele das erste Lebenszeichen der Schweden. Dass die 250 Originalexemplare schnell ausverkauft waren, zeugt von der großen Anziehungskraft des psychedelischen Doom-Kosmos mit seinen Fuzz-Riffs, den DOMKRAFT von Anfang an zu schaffen begannen. Dieser ist im Verlauf der letzten zehn Jahre mit vier Alben, zwei EPs und einer Live-Platte beständig weiter gewachsen. Obwohl DOMKRAFT mit jeder neuen Veröffentlichung ihrem musikalischen Kurs treu geblieben sind, hat sich das nordische Trio gleichzeitig konstant weiterentwickelt. DOMKRAFT sind hörbar gereift und haben ihr Songwriting auf allen Ebenen verfeinert. Dies macht ihr aktuelles Album "Sonic Moons" (2023) mehr als deutlich. Willie Nile"s "The Great Yellow Light" is the 21st full length release from veteran New York-based rocker that the New Yorker has called "One of the most brilliant singer-songwriters of the past thirty years". The album title is a reference to Vincent Van Gogh"s letters to his brother, Theo, and the light that inspired him in Arles, France where he lived from February 1888 to May 1889. The album was recorded at Hobo Sound, Weehawken, NJ produced by Nile and his long-time producer, Grammy-winner Stewart Lerman (Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, Sharon Van Etten, etc.). Features special guests Steve Earle, Paul Brady, Waddy Wachtel, David Mansfield, and members of Black 47 and The Hooters.

After two decades, the indietronic veteran returns with a powerful sonic reflection on today’s sociopolitical climate and a poignant reminder of music’s enduring ability to heal, unite, and inspire. Blending experimental electronics with krautrock sensibilities, the album thrives on spontaneity, collaboration, and the beauty of ‘happy accidents’.

While many of Nitrada’s sonic trademarks remain — intricate, rickety beats; enigmatic field recordings; and gut-punching string melodies — EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT COUNTED WILL BE LOST marks a shift in approach. Experimenting with different constellations of musical machines, Christophe Stoll, the mind behind Nitrada, recorded hours of improvisations (some shared on his Instagram). These sketches became the raw material for more elaborate, carefully structured arrangements.

True to his collaborative spirit, Stoll brought in like-minded artists to shape the final album: Jan Sturm (aka STURM) lends his touch to the shimmering FRAGMENTS OF LIGHT. The euphoric dystopian WE DANCE IN THE CHAOS features Landobe (Marco Heinle) and Patrick Siegfried Zimmer on vocals. Luca di Mira (of Giardini di Mirò fame) contributes synths, cello, and delicate textures to some tracks, while Johannes Schardt’s guitar work brings a visceral, post-rock edge to NO HYMN FOR NOBODY and IL ROMANTICISMO DELL’APOCALISSE, nodding to Stoll’s roots in punk and indie.

“The goal is to take listeners on a journey through different timbres and sonic landscapes — a collage of diverse ideas and inspirations,” says Stoll about his album which effortlessly juxtaposes experimental ambient soundscapes, heavy jagged guitars, and minimal techno pulses, making them feel as though they’ve always belonged together. Because, in the end, they do – all part of the shared vocabulary of our universal language: MUSIC.

All Men Unto Me is a project led by Rylan Gleave, composer and vocalist (most notably in Ashenspire and various Paraorchestra projects). Today, All Men Unto Me announces their second album Requiem, an album which re-imagines an ancient mourning in a real, contemporary setting. Taking the broad emotional arcs of the Missa pro Defunctis, these structures pave way for new songs, ruminating on patriarchal power systems and the conditions of transmasculinity within these, through the haze of Queer reverence and forgiveness. In Rylan's words, the Missa pro Defunctis "translates to ‘Mass for the dead’, and refers to the Catholic text taken from the Roman Missal. When set to music, it is called a ‘Requiem’. Requiem masses are usually performed at funerals. I’ve sung in a few Requiems — Mozart, Fauré, Duruflé — when I’ve been in choirs, and felt those dramatic arcs of the structure in my own voice. Writing a Requiem felt like processing my own complex feelings about the Church, patriarchal power within it (and more broadly), and the death of a part of me in a framework that allowed for mourning. The contours of sorrow, light, forgiveness, and reverence made space for these songs to speak to my own identity as a survivor, and use that structure in a way that let me direct an ancient narrative myself." Marrying traditional Anglican soundworlds of electro-pneumatic church organ and stacked choral vocals with heavier sounds, closer to experimental/noise rock and doom metal, Requiem sits at times near Swans, Kayo Dot, Lingua Ignota, Greet Death, and Scott Walker.

Across the Tracks is a collaborative project between underground hip-hop heavyweights Boldy James and producer Williams Conductor. Er porträtiert die Umstände, die eine junge Frau aus Sulzbach in die Droge als »Aus- weg« führt. Uraufgeführt an zwei Abenden im Dezember 1979 im Saal der Gaststätte "Josefshaus", gewerkschaftlich unterstützt wie manche andere Floh-Produktion, er- reichte sie auch die Belegschaft des Stahlwerkes – bis spät in die Nacht unterhielt ich mich danach mit einem Stahlwerker bei gutem bayrischen Bier. Im Betrieb hatte er so einiges mitbekommen von der Vorgeschichte. Das Programm steht für die Brillanz, die Floh de Cologne musikalisch wie textlich im Laufe der Jahre erreicht hatten, erhielt den deutschen Kleinkunstpreis und wurde fürs Fernsehen aufgezeichnet. Ins erste Programm schaffte es Koslowsky nicht, aber immerhin in mehrere dritte.

Das letzte FL0H-Opus - vor dem großen Abschlußspektakel -hieß „F“ und knüpfte an alte Action-Theater-Tage an. Mit einer Musik allerdings, die erneut bewies, wie offen und aufnahmebereit die Routiniers geblieben waren. Moderner Rock, nicht modische Masche. Atemberaubend militante Intensität in den New-wave-Stücken, feinnervige Einfühlsamkeit in epischen Songs. Dazu bitterböse Satire, die an Biss nichts eingebüßt hat.

The A-side "Spaceman Spiff" is a banging ode to the cult comic-within-a-comic intergalactic explorer, led by Rotem Bahar (Şatellites, Itamou) on flute. On the flip, the Company gets heavier and delivers a piece of raging fuzz-meets-synths crime funk - "Stunt Double".

With Bass Temprature, rediscover on one single CD the first three vinyl EPs by High Tone: Bot Dub Seasons, Low Tone, and Bass Temperature-a total of 12 tracks that propelled the Lyon-based group into the ranks of electro-dub heavyweights. In addition to these two reissues, four extra tracks have been added, making for a 12-track album just as compelling as it's predecessor. It marks a shift toward a more roots-oriented sound while remaining firmly grounded in the electro-dub genre. The album opens with Echo-Logik, a warrior-like chant followed by a driving bassline that makes you want to move-DJ Twelve's scratches laid over the groove offer a brilliant showcase of the band's talent. The title track, Bass Temprature, follows-perhaps the least striking piece, though that's only relative given the strength of the rest. Worth noting are the mystical vocal samples in Train to Transylvania, evoking vampires and devils, while N1 Station brings a heavy psych sound, a more energetic beat, and moments that border on hard-tek. Other influences also emerge, such as the strong Eastern vibe in The Orientalist. As always, High Tone delivers a stunning dub album sure to delight ears tired of the everyday noise pollution that surrounds us.

Haunting, discordant and deeply unsettling, `Les Maîtres Fous' (`The Mad Masters') was written by French post-metal collective Year of No Light in response to French filmmaker Jean Rouch's controversial 1950's docufiction of the same name. Commissioned by Musée Du Quai Branly in Paris for their 2012 `L'Invention Du Sauvage' exhibition, trance-metal pioneers Year of No Light approached the ritual practices of the Hauka movement as depicted in the film and responded with their uniquely hypnotic heaviness. Performed only twice, once at the exhibition on the 6th January, 2012 and again in Bordeaux on the 29th January, 2015; this release is a live recording of the second and final performance of `Les Maîtres Fous'. Whilst Year of No Light have a long history of collaboration with forward-thinking filmmakers and visual artists, the sensitivity of this documentary's problematic subject matter and the intensity of the band's performance made this performance both a physically and emotionally demanding experience; something that can be keenly felt upon listening. Founded in September 2001 by a collection of Bordeaux's heavy scene stalwarts as an ongoing side project encompassing elements of sludge metal and shoegaze, Year of No Light released their debut album, Nord, in 2006 to critical acclaim. The subsequent years however saw a significant lineup change with the band replacing their vocalist with a third guitarist to become a fully instrumental sextet incorporating aspects of black metal, drone electronica and dark ambient into their already formidable sound. 2010's four track epic Ausserwelt and the 2013 follow up Tocsin saw Year of No Light distilling their punishing sound even further; stalling the tempo to a glacial crawl and tuning guitars ever downwards to new uncharted depths. Consolamentum, the band's first full-length release in nine years and their first with Pelagic Records, brought the outfit's crushing double-drumming percussion to the fore as a masterclass in dynamic control saw Year of No Light embrace the highest highs and the lowest lows of the intervening years. Now approaching their 25th anniversary, `Les Maître Fous' is a pressing reminder that, despite the band's long and ongoing journey, Year of No Light have never been afraid to experiment, to take risks, to square up to life's ugliness and look it straight in the eye. Lindenbergs 20. Studio Album ist ein Paradebeispiel für seinen typischen Humor: Von Sündenknall, der biblischen Schöpfungsgeschichte im Lindenberg-Stil über Smog-Rock bis hin zu Samenbank, über ein gesperrtes Konto an besagtem Ort.

Sündenknall bietet seinen Fans alles, was sie an Udo zu schätzen wissen. Ein cleveres Gesamtwerk aus Humor, intelligenten Texten und bewegenden, zeitlosen und teilweise komischen Balladen, wie Lover Man oder Helmut Owiewohl, ein Lied über den damaligen Bundeskanzler Kohl als Sexidol.

Das Album produzierte er selbst zusammen mit Dave King, der schon mit großen Namen wie Peter Maffay und Billy Cobham arbeitete. Co-produced wurde das Album auch von Jim Voxx. Als guter Freund von Lemmy Kilmister und Produzent unter anderem für Motörhead schafft er mit Udo zusammen den genialen Rock-Sound im typischen Stil der 80er.

Am 27.06.2025 erscheint die Jubiläumsversion von Sündenknall in zitronengelbem Vinyl in einer streng limitierten, handnummerierten Auflage von nur 1.500 Exemplaren. Um das 40. Jubiläum gebührend zu feiern, wird das Album zudem als CD nachaufgelegt.

Lee Morgan war ein amerikanischer Jazztrompeter und Komponist. Als einer der wichtigsten Hard BopMusiker der 1960er Jahre wurde Morgan bereits in seinen späten Teenagerjahren bekannt. Er nahm mit Bandleadern wie John Coltrane, Curtis Fuller, Dizzy Gillespie, Hank Mobley und Wayne Shorter auf und spielte in Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers. Morgan blieb bis 1961 bei Blakey und begann in den späten 50er Jahren, als Leader Platten aufzunehmen. Seine Komposition „The Sidewinder“, die auf dem gleichnamigen Album enthalten ist, wurde 1964 zu einem überraschenden Crossover-Hit in den Pop- und R&B-Charts. Nach einem zweiten Engagement in Blakeys Band arbeitete Morgan bis zu seinem Tod 1972 sowohl als Leader als auch als Sideman weiter. Ursprünglich 1960 auf dem Vee-Jay-Label veröffentlicht, ist ”Here’s Lee Morgan” Lee Morgans 10. Album. Auf der Sammlung von 6 Hard Bop-Stücken wird Morgan von Clifford Jordan (Tenorsaxophon), Wynton Kelly (Klavier), Paul Chambers (Bass) und Art Blakey (Schlagzeug) unterstützt.
