Obwohl "Suffer" lediglich eine Laufzeit von 26 Minuten hat, war die Platte für Fat Mike, den Sänger und Bassisten von NoFX, in Bezug auf das amerikanische Punk-Revival der Neunziger "das Album, das alles veränderte". Tatsächlich bedeutete der dritte Langspieler der Band 1988 nicht nur den internationalen Szenedurchbruch für Bad Religion, er schuf auch die Grundlage für den massiven Erfolg des Epitaph-Labels, das mit The Offspring, NoFX, Rancid und Pennywise just jene Gruppen unter Vertrag nahm, die in den Neunzigern mit Melodic Hardcore, Pop-Punk und Skatepunk für Furore sorgten. "Suffer" bot für die damalige Zeit etwas völlig Neues: Schnelle, aber sehr melodische Songs mit mehrstimmigen Gesängen und Hintergrundchören sowie abrupte Rhythmuswechsel; hinzu kamen der klare Gesang Greg Graffins, der durch eine exakte Aussprache und Metrik gekennzeichnet ist, sowie intellektuell inspirierte Lyrics. Bad Religion spielten die 15 Songs von "Suffer" in der Originalbesetzung - Greg Graffin (Gesang), Brett Gurewitz (Gitarre), Greg Hetson (Gitarre), Jay Bentley (Bass), Pete Finestone (Schlagzeug) - im April 1988 im Westbeach Recorders-Studio in Hollywood ein. Das Album wurde von Brett Gurewitz und Donnell Cameron in acht Tagen aufgenommen und gemixt.

The first monolith in the series carries with it two totems of the genre:
On the A-side, Magnetrixx – Intraferences, originally released in the year 2000 on the legendary Tatsu Records. Behind this moniker stands Stefan Lewin, not only a key architect of the progressive trance sound but also the mind behind ACL (Audiophile Circuits League), one of the most special modular synthesizer brands..

His work bridges eras: from shaping the trancefloor at the turn of the millennium to designing instruments that define modern electronic creation.On the B-side, Ticon – Lo Mi Hi, a track that saw the light in 2001 on Digital Structures, one of the most influential labels of that era.

Ticon are nothing short of mythical within this universe — pioneers whose sound blurred borders between deep grooves, psychedelic textures, and progressive structures, leaving an indelible mark that still resonates with dancers and producers worldwide.

With Monolith 45, we seek not only to preserve these transmissions but to project them into the present: to reawaken a sound that was always more than music, a tribal pulse, a ritual language that invited bodies and minds into collective trance.
This is our homage, our offering, and our way of extending the path forward.

Jim war sofort von Anikas Auftritt beeindruckt, während Anika Jim als Mentor bewunderte, der seiner einzigartigen Vision während seiner ganzen Karriere treu geblieben ist. Dieser von Anika arrangierte Track wurde in Berlin mit dem Streichquartett Kaleidoskop aufgenommen und erscheint als Bonustrack auf dem Album unter dem Titel ,These Days (Berlin Version)". Später mischte Jim eine minimalistischere Version des Songs und fügte mehrere E-Gitarren-Tracks hinzu. Während seines Aufenthalts in Berlin verriet Jim Anika, dass der einzige bereits existierende Track im Film ,Spooky" von Dusty Springfield sein würde. Anika, die eine Live-Version davon gespielt hatte, schlug vor, dass sie ihn covern sollten. Die reduzierte Version, die sie nur mit Gesang, Kontrabass, Fingerschnipsen und einem verzerrten Orgelriff kreierten, wurde als Song für den Abspann des Films ausgewählt. Abgesehen von diesen Coverversionen entstand ein Großteil der Filmmusik aus Improvisationen. Natacha Atlas ist eine international gefeierte Künstlerin mit einer der markantesten Stimmen der Welt. After being out of print for a good number of years, we are making 15 titles out of our Elvis Presley back catalogue available again between August 2025 and February 2026. Each title will see two different editions: one on regular-coloured vinyl and one very limited on mix-coloured, marbled vinyl, both housed in deluxe sleeves with a linen look and feel. Loving You from 1957 was Elvis Presley’s first soundtrack and accompanied the eponymous film that follows a delivery man who is discovered by a music publicist and a country–western musician who wants to promote the talented newcomer. This was Presley’s first major starring role. The fact that only the tracks on the A-side appeared in the movie couldn’t spoil the fun for the fans, as the LP contained hits such as “(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear” reaching #1 in the U.S., some covers and some lesser-known deep cuts. It’s not without reason that this album reached Certified Gold status. The Midas touch, so to speak. Loving You is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on yellow translucent coloured vinyl.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1934, Hector 'Costita' Bisignani is one of the leading figures in Latin American jazz. Settling in São Paulo in the late 1950s,
he quickly established himself as one of Brazil's most renowned flutists and saxophonists, collaborating with major artists such as Sérgio Mendes, Elis Regina,
Hermeto Pascoal, João Donato, and Gato Barbieri. His career also led him to play alongside Michel Legrand, Lalo Schifrin, Burt Bacharach, and Ray Conniff,

demonstrating his international influence. A founding member of Sérgio Mendes' Sexteto Bossa Rio, he contributed to the rise of Brazilian jazz by incorporating
local rhythms and bold compositions. He is also renowned as a teacher, making him a respected figure for several generations of musicians. With a career
spanning more than 70 years, he remains a pioneering figure in the history of Latin American jazz. 1981, now reissued, perfectly illustrates this creative freedom.

In 2023, k.d.b lived in a crumbling farmhouse on the edge of the River Maas. Each morning, he’d wake at 6:00 and walk along the river’s bank with his dogfriend Miemel, pausing at sunrise for a cup of coffee.

It’s 6:34, and a thick rug of mist rolls out across the river. It’s so dense that k.d.b can’t see the water beneath it. Then comes the sun: a single ray cutting through the mist like a tube of light, landing on Miemel’s face. In her mouth is a CD she’s picked up, and on the CD is the title Instrumental Romance.

'What is Instrumental Romance?' thinks k.d.b. 'Romantic instrumentals? Or a romance used instrumentally? As in, a romance used to get something—like love?'

Miemel drops the CD and turns her attention to a stray purple grape on the path. Grapes are poisonous to dogs, and as she bends toward it, k.d.b. shouts, “NO!” At that precise moment, a large fish rises from the mist. It launches into the air, mouth wide open, and hangs there above the clouds. His shout, having traveled across the river, bounces back towards k.d.b with a “NO,” and in perfect synchrony, it appears the fish is also shouting at Miemel. The timing is so perfect, they can’t be sure it isn’t.

The fish falls back down, entering its watery world with an eerie, splashless silence, leaving k.d.b and Miemel standing open-mouthed on the bank. Before they can register the perfection of this duet, another fish (or maybe the same one again) rises from the mist in the exact same spot and launches into the air. Without thinking, k.d.b shouts again. The word “ROMANCE” comes out. This time, however, he is slightly too late, and the word is too long, so “ROMANCE” lingers on after the fish has already fallen back down.

'What even is romance?' thinks k.d.b. 'The construction of mystery or excitement with dead red flowers and timing?'

A foghorn sounds behind him, and k.d.b turns 180 degrees to see a boat moving freight, right to left, along the River Maas. 'That’s strange', he thinks. 'If the river is there, then what’s that behind me, below the mist?'

Staring at the boat and its shipping containers as they float out of sight, k.d.b imagines a man. The man is standing at the bottom of a small valley, holding a fish. 'Who is this man, and what does he want?'

Mit Gala veröffentlichten Lush 1990 ihr erstes Kompilationsalbum - eine Zusammenstellung der frühen EPs Scar (1989), Mad Love (1990) und Sweetness and Light (1990), ergänzt durch zwei exklusive Stücke: eine Coverversion von ABBAs "Hey Hey Helen" sowie den erweiterten Robin Guthrie-Mix von "Scarlet". Die Veröffentlichung markierte damals den Einstieg der Band in die US-amerikanischen und japanischen Märkte. Zum 35. Jubiläum erscheint Gala nun am 14. November 2025 in einer aufwendig neu aufgelegten Edition: als Standard-LP/CD sowie als Deluxe-Coloured-Vinyl-Boxset (3x12" + 7"). Beide Formate wurden von Kevin Vanbergen 2025 neu gemastert. Die Deluxe-Edition überzeugt zudem mit einem von Chris Bigg gestalteten Artwork, basierend auf Originalgrafiken von v23 (Vaughan Oliver und Chris Bigg), sowie einer neu verfassten Bandbiografie der norwegischen Autorin und Musikerin Jenny Hval. Erstmals seit 1990 ist Gala damit wieder offiziell erhältlich. Die Gala 35th Anniversary Edition folgt auf die 2023 veröffentlichten Remasterings der Studioalben Spooky, Split und Lovelife. Bereits im vergangenen Jahr präsentierte die Band zudem in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Criterion Channel den Kurzfilm A Far From Home Movie von Bassist Phil King - ein Werk zu Ehren des 1996 verstorbenen Schlagzeugers Chris Acland, das intime Super8-Aufnahmen von Lush-Tourneen zwischen 1992 und 1996 zeigt

After completing his nationwide run with Ice Nine kills, the rocker has been hard at work prepping Cruel World. The collection of songs includes several notable features, including the likes of From First To Last, as well as Ice Nine Kills. The 9-song minialbum is chock full of TX2's well-known hard-hitting sinister sound, and he's bringing an added dose of heavy with these new songs as well. Fan-favorite track "MAD," which has seen 10,000+ video creates on TikTok and has created an unstoppable buzz around the project. Rising out of the shadows of a small town known for music, Fort Collins; TX2 brings an unmatchable intensity in his music through the form of powerful raw lyrics and explosive performances. After struggling for so many years as an artist, TX2 used his pain as fuel and finally found his sound. As a result, his music went viral on TikTok and he now has ~800K followers on the platform. Die legendäre Split-12"-Platte von Balance and Composure und Tigers Jaw aus dem Jahr 2011 ist für beide Bands eine wichtige Zeitkapsel. Diese acht Songs fangen die Energie einer ganzen Musikszene ein, die in Pennsylvania mit Bands wie Title Fight, Daylight/Superheaven und The Menzingers entstanden ist. Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of it's yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. The release includes the original liner notes by Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign on the band's own Bad Brains Records imprint with Org Music. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering.

Das Wort ,tween" klingt irgendwie nach einer bestimmten Art von Unbeholfenheit, und das ist meistens nicht so positiv. Aber sieh es mal so: Etwas ,tween" ist dabei, sich zu etwas anderem zu entwickeln, und dieser Entwicklungsprozess hat seine ganz eigene Schönheit. Es ist irgendwie cool, das zu erkennen und zu feiern - sich darauf einzulassen. Jenn Wasner und Andy Stack - die beiden Hälften der Band - haben diese Songs als ,keinen Schritt nach vorne, sondern einen Schritt zur Seite in der Zeit" beschrieben. Mit anderen Worten: Sie passten einfach nicht zum fünften Album. Aber nur weil sie nicht dorthin passten, heißt das nicht, dass sie nirgendwo hingehören. Sie in Shriek zu zwängen, wäre unehrlich gewesen; sie zu verwaisten, wäre irgendwo zwischen kriminell und einfach nur albern gewesen. Tween ist voller wunderschöner Wye Oak-Songs, deren einziges Vergehen das Timing und der Kontext waren, gemacht von zwei Leuten auf dem Höhepunkt ihres Schaffens. In einem Moment umarmen Jenn und Andy ihren schwebendsten Cocteau-Twins-Instinkt (,If You Should See"), im nächsten sind sie wieder ein bisschen im Civilian-Territorium (,No Dreaming") und später sind sie geschmeidig und elektronisch und wunderschön 80er-mäßig (,On Luxury"). Der rote Faden: Das sind keine Ausgestoßenen oder Ausschnitte. Tatsächlich könnte Tween sogar leichter zugänglich sein als Shriek. Es sollte in die Riege der großartigen Nicht-Alben der Geschichte aufgenommen werden, deren Namen versuchen, ihre tatsächliche Qualität herunterzuspielen, wie R.E.M.s Dead Letter Office, The Whos Odds and Sods und vielleicht sogar Dinosaur Jr.s Whatever's Cool With Me.

Nach Ihrem letzten Projekt in 2022 meldet sich das australische Pop-Rock Phänomen 5 Seconds of Summer endlich mit ihrem neuen Album Everyone’s A Star! zurück, welches am 14. November erscheint! Die
mehrfach Platin-ausgezeichnete Band konnte in ihrer Karriere bereits mehrere Alben auf Platz #1 in den
Billboard 200 platzieren, und weckt somit hohe Erwartungen an ihr neues Projekt.
Für Everyone’s A Star! hat 5SOS mit Top-Produzenten und Songwritern wie Julian Bunetta, John Ryan
und Jason Evigan zusammengearbeitet. Das sind Namen, die auch hinter Hits von One Direction, Sabrina
Carpenter, Maroon 5 und Dua Lipa stehen. So gelingt es der Band ihren Sound neu zu erfinden, ohne
dabei die Essenz zu verlieren, die 5 Seconds of Summer zu einer der bedeutendsten Pop-Bands unserer Zeit
gemacht hat.

In den 1960er Jahren zählten der Hammond-Organist und der Gitarrist zweifelsfrei zu den prägendsten
und populärsten Jazzmusikern. Bei den gemeinsamen Sessions für ”The Dynamic Duo” wurden die beiden
Virtuosen 1966 von einer nicht minder dynamischen Big Band unter der Leitung des Meisterarrangeurs
Oliver Nelson zusätzlich befeuert. Das Album wurde von den Kritikern und Jazzfans mit so großer Begeisterung aufgenommen, dass Verve noch im selben Jahr mit “Further Adventures Of Jimmy And Wes” einen
Nachfolger herausbrachte.

Zum ersten Mal erscheint in der Blue Note Tone Poet Serie nicht ein Klassiker aus dem Blue-Note-JazzKatalog, sondern ein monumentales Meisterwerk aus dem Archiv des Schwesterlabels Capitol Records:
Frank Sinatras legendäres Balladen-Album “In The Wee Small Hours“ von 1955, ein ikonisches Werk, das
dieses Jahr sein 70. Jubiläum feiert.
Obwohl das Album schon viele Male auf LP und CD veröffentlicht wurde, dürfen die Hörer sich auf eine
Überraschung einstellen. Joe Harley, der „Tone Poet“ schwärmt: „Der Unterschied in der Wiedergabetreue
ist umwerfend. Der Klang ist erstaunlich… Frank ist quasi mit dem Hörer zusammen im Raum. Es ist, als
hätte sich ein Schleier gelüftet“.
Wie bei der Serie üblich wurden alle Produktionsschritte von Joe Harley persönlich überwacht, Kevin Gray
hat bei Cohearent Audio von den analogen Bändern gemastert, das Ergebnis wurde bei Record Technology
Inc. (RTI) auf 180-g-Vinyl gepresst und erscheint in einer luxuriösen Gatefold-Hülle mit Session-Fotos von
William Claxton und Ken Veeder sowie einem Essay von Rita Kirwan.

„What Separates Me From You”, das erfolgreiche vierte Studioalbum von A Day to Remember, kehrt als
limitierte 15-jährige Jubiläumsausgabe auf Vinyl zurück.
Mit Klassikern wie „All I Want” und „All Signs Point to Lauderdale” markierte dieses genreübergreifende
Album eine bedeutende klangliche und inhaltliche Weiterentwicklung der Band aus Ocala, Florida. Während
sie ihre charakteristische Mischung aus Metalcore und Pop-Punk beibehielten, wurden auf dem Album dunklere und ernstere Themen als auf ihren früheren Werken behandelt. Nach seiner Erstveröffentlichung im
Jahr 2010 erreichte „What Separates Me From You“ Platz 11 der Billboard 200 und führte unter anderem

Released here for the first time on vinyl, Science-Fiction is one of Mazalda's early albums, originally released in 2008 on CD only. Mazalda is a legendary band for anyone who's been to French venues and festivals in the last 20 odd years ; the Lyon-based collective have played – literally – thousands of shows, always with a high level of breathtaking musicianship, sensitivity and energy.

Although mostly known for their fruitful collaboration with raïsinger Sofiane Saidi in the late 2010's, Mazalda started off as a street brass-band circa 2001. Soon, they integrated specific modern elements to their sound : 70's analog synths, psychedelic guitars, electric mandoline, Wurlitzer piano, Ewi electronic saxophone.

Stéphane Cézard, Mathieu Ogier, Lucas & Adrien Spirli, Gilles Poizat and Julien Lesuisse were influenced by numerous styles of instrumental music from across the Eurasian continent since their teenage years ; yet with Science-Fiction they broadened their field of inspiration to both pop and experimental horizons. Gilles Poizat (Orchestre Tout-Puissant Marcel Duchamp) and Julien Lesuisse (Crimi)'s clear and melodic vocals pair with a great sonic depth created by the countless possibilities of instrumental combinations.

Mazalda chose to record a handful of cover versions such as the majestic opener " Thu Og Eg " by Icelandic prog musician Gunnar Thordarson, or a funk-fuelled version of a 1920's protest song by Neapolitan singer Alfredo Bascetta. A majority of the selection, though, is masterfully penned by members of the band.

Science-Fiction captures the fresh and boundless creativity of a young band of mates who, as well as being top-rank interprets, draw unique inspiration from timeless musical wells. It just wasn't fair that this album never got released on vinyl or online. Meanwhile, Mazalda are still alive and well, as they released their latest album Special Key in 2023 (Airfono) and are currently playing shows across France and Europe with Franco-Egyptian singer Hend Alrawy (Orange Blossom) as "Zerzura".

Centred once again on the concept of the wounded healer, `Bring Ur Bruises' implores the listener to welcome their trauma in, to own it and wear it as a paradoxical means of ultimately letting it go as triumphant, reverb-soaked guitars soar ever higher. If it wasn't already clear, PREYRS are no strangers to doing things differently and, across every iteration, the band have always taken a DIY approach to every aspect of their existence.
