Wenn du Belle and Sebastian liebst, war "A Bit of Previous" von 2022 ein kleines Geschenk für dich. Belle and Sebastian haben uns bereits eine Fülle von Klassikern geschenkt, so dass man angesichts des Outputs des letzten halben Jahrzehnts, verstreut über EPs, Soundtracks und ein Live-Album (das gleichzeitig eine Greatest Hits-Sammlung war), annehmen könnte, es sei nichts mehr im Tank und es sei an der Zeit, den Tourbus für ein paar Album-Jubiläumsshows anzuwerfen. Aber das wäre ein Irrtum. Wie sich herausstellte, verbrachte die Band die trostlosesten Zeiten der Pandemie miteinander, nutzte die Situation und die Einsamkeit für neue Musik. Sie verwandelten diese Energie in Freude und in einen Herzschmerz, der jeden Moment durchschimmert. Als Zentrum diente ein Raum, der früher eigentlich für den Versandhandel bestimmt war und nun die neue Kreativzelle der Band ist. Aufgenommen in denselben Sessions wie der Vorgänger "A Bit of Previous", fühlt sich das neue Album "Late Developers" nicht wie eine Sammlung von weniger guten Songs an, die nicht gut genug waren, um auf das auf das erste Album zu kommen. Vielmehr ist es ein Beweis für die ungezügelte Kreativität, die die Band während der Aufnahmen entfachte und die das letzte Album nun ergänzt. Während man in einer Album-Info gerne versucht Musik mit markigen Worten zu beschreiben, entzieht sich "Late Developers" den Genres und schwebt zwischen den Welten. Belle and Sebastian hatten schon immer ein Händchen dafür, Musik und Texte so zu kombinieren, dass sie die chaotische Welt der menschlichen Empfindungen perfekt einfangen - ein Soundtrack des Lebens. Und es gibt eine gewisse Leichtigkeit auf "Late Developers", die einen daran erinnert, dass man hier den Experten in Sachen Gefühlswelten zuhört. Stuart Murdoch ist einfach ein meisterhafter Beobachter und Geschichtenerzähler. Es ist bemerkenswert, dass eine Band mit einer derart langen Karriere Musik machen kann, die sich nicht nur unmittelbar anfühlt, sondern auch zwei aufeinanderfolgende Alben, die klingen, als wären Belle and Sebastian auf dem Höhepunkt ihres Schaffens. Originally released in 2001, Nigeria 70 was the first compilation of its kind to explore in depth the fertile music scene in Lagos as domestic artists mixed highlife and traditional rhythms with soul, funk, rock and jazz. While Western audiences were already familiar with Fela Kuti and his life story, the album placed the spotlight on some of the other great musicians and bandleaders in Nigeria during the "70s period: Joni Haastrup, Peter King, Segun Bucknor, Bala Miller, Blo, King Sunny Ade, Tunji Oyelana and many more.Three further volumes followed, exploring the far corners of original Afrobeat, juju, funk and soul.

Constant Follower’s debut album "Neither Is, Nor Ever Was" was borne out of a respect for change, and the inevitable passing of time that frightens, comforts and humbles every one of us at once. It is a haunting testimonial to the temporary joys and fleeting moments that define the human experience no matter the individual passages it takes. The name of the outfit itself is a reflection of those things that we carry through life, for better or worse, that ultimately make us who we are. The current band consists of Stephen McAll (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, synth, bass), Andrew Pankhurst (electric guitar), Amy Campbell (backing vocals and synth), and McAll’s partner Kessi Stosch (backing vocals, synth and bass). "Neither Is, Nor Ever Was" co-produced by Scottish singer-songwriter Stephen McAll and the legendary record producer Kramer. The recording for the album began in early 2020 at La Chunky studios in Glasgow with engineer Johnny Smillie. This was interrupted by the birth of McAll’s daughter. If you listen closely, her cries are just audible during some of Kessi’s backing vocals, and shortly afterwards by Covid 19 restrictions. McAll began recording the rest at his own CFFC studio in Stirling. The recording was then beautifully mixed by Kramer. Once the LP was complete Kramer also did the final mastering. The videos for the release are truly short films that have been submitted to film festivals. They are enchanting, ethereal and immersive, the band’s visuals are as moving and cinematic as their sound. Martin J Pickering, who is renowned for his work with Dua Lipa, Paloma Faith and Lethal Bizzle, is behind their latest music video for “Set Aside Some Time”. The result - intense pangs of emotion interspersed with moments of reflection and acceptance, an ephemeral ode to the passing of time.

An anachronism in current times where individualism reigns supreme, Teeth Machine are a rare band knitted together through close camaraderie: a collective in the truest sense of the word, whose intricate, improvisational style resolutely resists being reduced to one single contributor. Teeth Machine found its beginnings in the close friendship and musical collaborations of Arthur Bently (saxophonist/lead guitarist) and Gray Rimmer (lead vocals/guitar). Having played together in various other projects since the age of 17 and disaffected with the music industry, the pair’s first furtive experimentations with the music that would later become Teeth Machine took place at a deliberate distance from the Outside world. This early incubation period, and the music made through endless bedroom sessions and demos recorded on laptops and tapes, became the spine of the project, fostering a sound that still retains both a precious intimacy and a large, expansive sonic scope. The band’s lineup as it stands today features long term friends and collaborators Anthony Boatright (Bass), Jamie Staples (Drums), and Ciara Reddy (Vocals/Synth). On their first self-assured, recorded offering to the wider world, Teeth Machine still bear the imprint of their origins, the band’s sound firmly grounded in the ethos of mutually weighted contribution, as well as the closeness cultivated in their early experiences, always retaining an air of uninhibited creativity and adolescent intimacy. ‘Gumball’, their first release on RaRaRok (Wulu, The Goa Express) was self-produced, mixed by Dilip Harris (King Krule, Mount Kimbie). It’s a song that conveys the tension and impossibility of communication and language, even when attempting to connect with those closest to us. Despite this, and however much the track itself bristles with an unmistakable air of friction, the listener gets the strong sense that there has not been a love lost, but rather one renegotiated, even expanded. Speaking about ‘Gumball’, Teeth Machine said: “‘Gumball’ is about the impossibility of talking. It was written during quite a chaotic period, and the lyrics came about after we had a big argument in the kitchen while trying to record a demo at the time - it tracks the madness and intensity of trying to make sense to someone you care about, or to yourself in your head. There’s a kind of antagonistic self help mantra that resonates throughout; it’s about internal and external conflict. It’s angry, but it’s also full of love too

Woke Beratungsstellen verbreiten die neueste (?) Erkenntnis: Alkohol enthemmt - Bier muß nochmal auf den Prüfstand. Die wichtigste Erkenntnis jedoch: Pferdestärken und Deckhengst - Multitaskinggenie David Coverdale konnte früher beides gleichzeitig. Heute: elektrische / erektile Dysfunktion, Bienen und Blümchen - wenn morgen der Rock'n'Roll untergeht - Samenspender David spendiert nochmal großzügig einen Apfelbaum. Chefdenker unterlegen das Ganze mit dem Komapatienten Rock'n'Roll. Sollen doch andere Sterbehilfe leisten!

What a privilege to start a new record label with an album of such quality. As we're sure most of you will know, Tom was the front man of the legendary US psychedelic/folk band PEARLS BEFORE SWINE. Recording for the ESP label in the 60s, then moving to Reprise, PBS left us a legacy of strange, beautiful music. In the early 70s Tom went solo, recording more albums for Reprise and Blue Thumb. As a schoolkid he came third in a talent show in which fellow schoolboy, Bobby Zimmerman (yes, that Bobby Zimmerman), came fifth! He played gigs with Pink Floyd, Crazy Horse, Patti Smith and many more before calling time in 1976, and becoming a Civil Rights lawyer. Renewed interest in Tom and PBS in the late 90s led to him making some staggeringly good live appearances. Then in 1999 he released his first album for over 25 years. The prophetically titled 'A Journal Of The Plague Year'. Featuring appearances from Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang (of Galaxie 500 fame) and Masakai Batoh of Japanese band Ghost, came out on the British label Woronzow to great acclaim. This is the first ever reissue of 'Plague Year' and it comes with the original artwork and lyric insert, as a limited vinyl edition of 400 and a CD version of just 200. Tragically, Tom died in 2018 aged 70. It was a joy to count him as a friend. Blue Matter would like to thank Lynn Madison-Rapp & Ade Shaw for their help with making this reissue a reality.

If it's really a post-genre world, why does everything sound the same? The two halves of Tampa rap duo They Hate Change_Dre (he/him) and Vonne (they/them)_first came together in front of the apartment complex where they both lived as teens. Dre had just moved down from Rochester, NY; Vonne was trying to sell him bad weed. It was clear from the start that the two listen to music differently from most people_they're sonic omnivores, obsessive deep-divers, lovers of rare and radical sounds. Starting as kids trawling the internet for tracks, they've been collecting music from around the world and across the decades, amassing a shared sonic knowledge so deep that "encyclopedic" barely begins to cover it _ not just the East Coast hip-hop that Dre grew up on, or the hyperlocal bass-music variants like jook (the Gulf Coast's twerkably raunchy answer to house) and crank (think "Miami bass meets NOLA bounce"), but also drum `n' bass, Chicago footwork, post-punk, prog (they're, like, seriously into prog), grime, krautrock, emo, and basically any genre on the map. Once they graduated to DJs on the Tampa DIY scene _ which includes everything from punk rock house parties to the black "teen nights" that pop up in rec centers and ballrooms _ they figured out how to pull all these disparate sounds together into a cohesive style. More importantly, they figured out how to make it something people will actually move to. When they made the transition to rapping and making beats, they brought that pleasure-seeking approach to sonic experimentation with them. "With this album, Vonne says, "it's really like, okay, you know how you talk about the internet breaking down borders? Here's what that actually sounds like. It's not just a hip-hop record with a couple more weird sounds. You want homegrown DIY? This is a record that was written, produced, and recorded in a 150-squarefoot bedroom from the least cool city you could think of." Finally, New is what a truly post-genre musical landscape is supposed to be: building deep connections that transcend outdated distinctions between them, spilling over with the joy of exploration and possibility, and daring other artists to think broader, go deeper, take bigger risks. Let the rest of them keep playing by the old rules_They Hate Change will keep changing the game.

Im Herbst 2013 folgen Auftritte u.a. beim Reeperbahn Festival, dem Waves Vienna und der Berlin Independent Night. Das verschmitzte Grinsen haben die vier Jungs nicht umsonst aufgesetzt. Launig, waghalsig und mit viel Übermut präsentieren sich die vom Garagen-Punk-Rock der 70ies infizierten Jungspunde vor Publikum. Nun erscheint ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz auf dem Wiener Label Siluh Records, das zuletzt mit Releases von Sex Jams und Mile Me Deaf ein Händchen für rotzige Gitarrenmusik bewiesen hat. Mit lausbübischem Humor, dem Draufgängertum der jungen Rolling Stones, der verpeilten Lockerheit der Black Lips sowie dem erstklassigen Songwriting von Indie-Heroen wie Guided By Voices überzeugten sie auch das kalifornische Label Burger Records, das bereits zum internationalen Sprungbrett für Szenegrößen wie Ty Seagull, Black Lips oder King Tuff wurde.

Strut present a new repress of the influential first volume of 'Disco Not Disco' compiled by Joey Negro and Sean P as part of the label's 20th Anniversary.

'Disco Not Disco' was a perfectly timed compilation back in 2000. Released when interest in the myths, history and playlists of original New York clubs like Paradise Garage and The Loft was at its peak, the album drew on the outer limits of leftfield disco championed by Levan and Mancuso, bringing together unlikely dancefloor anthems by rock acts like Yoko Ono and Ian Dury, obscurities from cottage labels like BC and Splash and selected oddities from the unique mind of avant-garde hero, Arthur Russell.

It was essentially a celebration of the sonic melting pot in New York during the early '80s, an era when punk had burnt itself out and disco had become commercial and saccharine; in its place, the post-punk movement threw up brilliant oddities which tore up the accepted rulebook.

The album features full original artwork and Kris Needs' sleeve notes and is remastered and cut by The Carvery.

Opulente langatmige Werke wie Lunetic mit einer Spieldauer von 12 Minuten zählen heute zu den Highlights dessen was unter Krautrock zusammengefasst wird. Von den originalen analog Bändern transferiert und sorgfältig remastert, ohne den Charakter der Aufnahmen zu zerstören. Absolut hörenswert! Opulent, lengthy works like Lunetic with a playing time of 12 minutes are today among the highlights of what is summarized as Krautrock. Transferred from the original analog tapes and carefully remastered without destroying the character of the recordings. Absolutely worth listening to!

Das Album ist das Ergebnis der Liebe von O'Flynn und Frazer Ray (fka Soundbwoy Killah) für die britische Dance-Music-Szene, von Speed Garage bis hin zu Breaks und Hardcore, und ihr umfassendes Wissen und ihr Respekt für Underground-Kulturen und -Genres scheinen als direkter Einfluss durch. Insgesamt ist diese Herzensangelegenheit eine nostalgische Hommage an ikonische britische Nachtclubs und den Eskapismus, den sie bieten, selbst bei ihrer Abwesenheit während der Pandemie - „Musik für diese Räume zu machen während sie geschlossen sind, war eine Form des Eskapismus für uns - ähnlich wie ein Videospiel zu spielen oder ein Buch zu lesen, wir wollten einfach an einen anderen Ort transportiert werden.“.

O'Flynn hat sich in den letzten Jahren einen Namen in der britischen Electronic-Dance-Szene gemacht und bekam Support von Künstler*innen wie u.a. Four Tet, James Blake, Ben UFO, Gilles Peterson, die ihn in ihren jeweiligen Radioshows spielten, sowie von Bonobo, mit dem er auf dem Track „Otomo“ (aus Bonobos aktuellem Top 3-Album „Fragments“) zusammenarbeitete. Bereits 2017 veröffentlichte er bei Ninja Tune seine 12“ „Pluto’s Beating Heart“/ „Eleven“, bevor er 2019 sein von der Kritik gefeiertes Debütalbum „Aletheia“veröffentlichte, für das er eine 18-tägige UK-Tour absolvierte und vom Guardian als „One to watch“ bezeichnet wurde. Frazer Ray veröffentlichte ebenfalls 2019 sein Debütalbum, „Halcyon Daze“ (als Soundbwoy Killah), das auf Vinyl schnell ausverkauft war.

Padang Moonrise is the story of modern Indonesian music
that emerged underneath the volcanoes of Java and
Sumatra. Java, the most populous island in the archipelago
of over 17,000 islands and 1300 distinct ethnic groups, and
its capital city Jakarta, was where most of the post-colonial
national identity, politics, administration and music production
was centred.
Traditional songs from Java, Sumatra, Bali and beyond were
re-imagined by a small group of state-sponsored musicians
that also composed and arranged new music. These songs
aimed at consolidating a geographically disparate country
with a new language and new ideas of national character.
This compilation brings together a handful of these recordings
that combine elements of regional popular music, Islamic
Gambus, Javanese & Balinese Gamelan and Kroncong, with
jazz, Afro-Latin music & instrumentation, and vocal harmonies
influenced by banned American doo-wop and rock & roll.
The results are a unique blend of styles that have remained
mostly insulated from the world outside of Indonesia until a
recent worldwide resurgence in the interest of recorded music
of all forms has shone a new light on these nearly forgotten
recordings.

Walter Wegmüller (1937 - 2020) war ein schweizerisch-jenischer Künstler und wuchs unter schwierigen Verhältnissen in Bern auf. Nach Ausbildungen in Basel, Bern, Paris und London begann er seine künstlerische Karriere. Neben der Malerei und plastischen Arbeiten beschäftigte sich Walter Wegmüller mit dem ganzen Spektrum der Kunst. Er erlangte vor allem ab 1974 mit der Publikation seines "Zigeuner-Tarot" international breite Beachtung. Er war auf zahllosen Ausstellungen in Europa und Übersee erfolgreich und wurde immer wieder mit Preisen und Auszeichnungen bedacht. Er vergaß dabei aber niemals seine Herkunft als Verdingkind und "Rom-Kind aus dem Stamm der Kalderasch". Im Jahr 1973 veröffentlichte er mit einer all-star-Band das Album Tarot. In der Band spielen erfolgreiche Musiker wie Klaus Schulze, Manuel Göttsching, Harald Grosskopf, Dieter Dierks, Hartmut Enke, Jürgen Dollase, Walter Westrupp Es blieb der einzige Ausflug von Walter Wegmüller in die Welt der Musik. Das Album wurde als Vinyl zuletzt im Jahre 1976 veröffentlicht. Als CD im Jahr 2000. Es liegt jetzt erstmalig remastert vor. Bei Sammlern besonders begehrt ist eine deLuxe Box, die neben 2 Vinylscheiben diverse Karten der Künstler sowie erklärende Texte zu dem TAROT Bezug darstellt und Reprints der Tarot Karten von Walter Wegmüller enthält. Diese Box wovon nur 1.000 Exemplare hergestellt wurden erzielt heute Preise von bis zu 800 Euro und mehr. Und selbst die CD-Ausgabe von 2000 ist unter 80 Euro nur schwer zu bekommen. Die originalen, analogen Masterbänder wurden mit höherer Auflösung überspielt und mit großer Sorgfalt remastert.

Recorded live at Berlin's Marie Antoinette club, the 10-track double album sees The Third Sound perform a discography-spanning set with tracks from last year's highly-praised 'First Light' LP (2021), 'All Tomorrow's Shadows' (2018), 'Gospels of Degeneration' (2016), 'The Third Sound of Destruction and Creation' (2013) and 'The Third Sound' (2011). The session is released on vinyl, digitally and as a series of videos by Fuzz Club Records. It's number 19 in the London label's ongoing Fuzz Club Session series which has also seen the likes of A Place To Bury Strangers, Night Beats, Holy Wave, Heaters, The Entrance Band, The Myrrors, Lumerians, The Underground Youth, 10000 Russos and more.

This young four-piece from Colorado roamed the basements and punk houses of America for a couple years as the band 10-4 Eleanor, and after building quite a following among the sweaty/bearded segment of the underground, they opted for a new band name and a fresh start in 2011. Thus ushered in the era of Elway, and along with it comes their Red Scare debut, Delusions. It marks an ambitious step up for the band as they ditched their home recordings and enlisted audio guru Matt Allison at Atlas Studios (Alkaline Trio, Lawrence Arms, LTJ, Smoke or Fire, etc). Portland's premiere purveyors of kraut-inflected party rock return with an
album's worth of tunes crammed into an extended playing set
The eponymous lead track bursts out of the gate with ebullience. Lee Ritter's
rhythms and Cord Amato's riffs fit comfortably in the space where Kraftwerk left
off and DEVO began. "Artificial Head" may be about a Fleshlight, or it could be a
paperback sci-fi-derived weed fantasy. You could listen to Møtrik while sober, but
why would you do that? Next up is the measured and groovy "Castle Electric"
which features a dialog between bassist/vocalist Erik Golts and a sexy computer.
His German is easily as good as her English and one wonders how the night
ended after she switched the lights "auf." Side one completes with "Unifox" built
up from a Dave Fulton synth composition into a full- fledged Møtrik track, this
being the first time the band has bucked its contrarian vision of a band that jams
in its own professional recording studio yet refuses to produce itself. "Outer
Reaches" is the patiently awaited sidelong epic. The contemplative and
exploratory scene begins with chirrups from an analog swamp, then slowly rises
through the hazy pastel atmosphere on a crystalline bubble before blasting off
into full- fledged Floydian outer space psych. As always, Møtrik colors between
the lines, applying its overall aesthetic to rock music, which is to say it's the
FORTRAN approach to basement partying. Artificial Head is just what your body

After two well-received albums of Normal Bias, the time has come for a solo debut in U Know Me of the half of this valued dub dub, i.e. Piotr Krupiński, better known as YAC.

The starting point for "We Have Much More In Common Than What Divides Us" was the rhythm, and on the one hand synthetic sounds of classic analog synthesizers with the legendary EMS VCS3 at the forefront, and on the other hand the organic hypnotic sound of Tibetan bowls and tubular bells. All together strongly processed and traditionally ground with dub techniques and marked by the tape's noise.

The amazing graphic design was created by Bartosz Szymkiewicz.

The cover design is the result of an attempt to graphically represent the album's minimalist but full of lively nuances music. Each of the forms on the cover corresponds with its surface area to the length of the work it depicts. The composition was procedurally generated by a computer program, resulting in 300 unique covers. Interestingly, the program definitely preferred to arrange the forms close together, which is an unforeseen reference to the title of the album.

Robohands, aka Andy Baxter, joins the Bastard Jazz family with a new EP titled "Giallo." Partly inspired by Italian Giallo (meaning "yellow") film soundtracks of the late 70s and 80s, as well as the experimental sounds of pioneering krautrock bands like Tangerine Dream and NEU! Armed with an old Juno 60 synthesizer, Andy wrote, recorded, and mixed all the parts himself, including the live drums, adding in multiple layers of effects.

Spread across 8 tracks, "Giallo" spans atmospheric meditations ("Giallo;" "Claws;" "Relax") to jazzy improvisational explorations ("Fear"), interwoven with brief solo instrumental tapestries ("Horror;" "Float By Like Clouds;" "For the Different"). There is an elegant cinematic quality to the EP, further refined by Robohands' production prowess and technical chops. "Giallo" builds on the Robohands sound, taking it in an exciting, more experimental direction.

Yasushi Ide is the Japanese street icon. In the 90's he was called "the Guru of Shibuya-kei" which was the movement of Shibuya style of eclectic pop by the artists such as Cornelius, Pizzcato Five, or Original Love who is once again recognized in City Pop revival of recent years. (Yasushi Ide was a manager of Original Love, and also Kenji Ozawa)

Through his works, he has been creating the global network of musicians such as Josh Milan of the Blaze, house music icon, Don Letts, the pioneer of connecting punk rock with reggae, and Jeff Mills, Detroit techno legend, and released a great amount of hi-quality music on his label, Grand Gallery.

The Cosmic Suite project started in 2020, during the pandemic. It started as a project to reconstruct the parts of music Jeff Mills created for Chieko Kinbara, a violinist which Mills produced. However, it turned out to be 36min of spaced themed original track = Cosmic Suite.
(There are few phrases of Jeff Mills music left in the final version) This masterpiece created a buzz in the music scene in Japan and overseas, and became Yasushi Ide's new beginning.

In June, 2022, Ide released "Cosmic Suite 2". Originally, Cosmic Suite was an instrumental. "Cosmic Suite" is the reconstruction of "Cosmic Suite 2" with the element of vocals. In this project, Don Letts, Josh Milan, DJ Krush are featured as guest musicians. Moreover, drums of Tony Allen, the legendary Afrobeat drummer, and Style Scott, a drummer known for his works in early days of ON-U label, and Gota Yashiki, a Japanese drummer known for his works with Soul II Soul are featured in this album. Also, Japanese brightest talents such as Kan Takagi of Major Force, Kaoru Inoue aka Chari Chari, Tomoyuki Tanaka aka Fantastic Plastic Machine and Calm are featured as artists and engineers. This is the true dream team of the Japanese underground music scene.

The artwork is done by Josue Thomas, the founder of popular fashion brand, Gallery Dept. He is also featured as poetry reading artist in track 1 of "Cosmic Suite 2." Ide and him collaborates in various projects under the concept of "Universal Music Connection."

His dub cover of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine (Space Dub Mix)" is selected for "Late Night Tales mixed by Don Letts" in 2021.

Highlight of "Cosmic 2" is the unique dub sound in tracks such as "Lava" feat. UA, the Japanese singer often described as "Japanese Bjork", and "Sumimasen Suite" feat. Rebel Dread (= Don Letts).

Tokyo is the melting pot of street music from all around the World such as Dub, Jazz, House, Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Punk rock, Techno,,, You can see the influence of all spectrums of rebel music in this album. This unique avant-garde music can only be created by Yasushi Ide, who has been heavily involved in this truly unique music scene for a long time.

Lionel Hampton, Showman, Vibraphonist, Schlagzeuger und Pianist, durchlief ein ganzes Jazzjahrhundert. Er war Teil jeder Epoche (Swing, Dancehall, Bebop), schrieb wichtige Musikkapitel und arbeitete mit Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa und Dizzy Gillespie zusammen. Die hier versammelten 11 Titel stammen aus seiner kreativsten und originellsten Zeit, als er sie 1953-54 mit Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown und Buddy Rich aufnahm. Diese hochspannende Allianz schuf eine Musik, die dieses Album zu einem unvermeidlichen Konzentrat der Jazzgeschichte macht.

John Lee Hooker ist die wohl markanteste Bluesfigur des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Kraft und Originalität seiner Stimme in Verbindung mit seiner unverwechselbaren Gitarre zementierten seinen Ruf. In den 1960/1970ern wurde Hooker zu einem internationalem Bluesstar mit treuer Blues-, Jazz- und Rockanhängerschaft. In 2009, following the death of Jhonn Balance four years earlier, This Immortal Coil's "The Dark Age Of Love" appeared as a tribute to the superb work of the British band Coil over two decades.Formed by musicians from all walks of life, the album was praised by critics but also, and most importantly, by Peter Christopherson himself! 13 years have passed and this passion for the band has never wavered. Following the death of Peter Christopherson in 2010 on the one hand, and meetings with musicians such as David Chalmin or Massimo Pupillo from Zü who in turn wanted to pay tribute to this gigantic band, on the other hand, Stéphane Grégoire's desire to make a new opus took shape in 2017 with a first recording of the title "Where Are You". Just like the first one, more than 5 years will be necessary to realize this new album so that it is at the height of Coil's genius.
