Coyote are back with another typically carefully curated collection of Baleraic re-edits and revisions via the reliable (and hush-hush) Magic Wand imprint. The Nottingham twosome kick things off themselves with 'Carpenter', a dubby and bass-heavy extension of a dreamy, folksy number (all jangling acoustic guitar, stoned male lead vocals and gentle hand percussion), before we're treated to the 'Pointless edit' of 'Six Blade Scalpel' - a languid, bass-heavy revision of a late 70s blues/soft-rock number crafted by Bedmo Disco's Sell By Dave. There's an Americana/neo-folk feel to Andy Kidd's sublime extension of Dan England's 'I Don't Feel That Way', while YZ's edit of 'Sapelo' is a horizontal, Rhodes-laden, spoken word-sporting ambient delight.

Earlier in the year, Washington, D.C-based Sol Power Allstars launched the Sweet Breeze Sound imprint, seemingly as a vehicle for oddball re-edits and nostalgic, sample-rich productions. Handling side A on release number three in San Fran's King Most, who crafts a hybrid 80s electro/proto-house jam out of echoing electronics, bobdypopping beats, and all manner of effects-laden samples (including a wealth from InDeep classic 'Last Night a DJ Saved My Life' ). Over on side B, Sol Power's own Marc Meistro takes over, laying down his own sparse, lo-fi, analogue-rich tribute to electro-era synth disco that once again nods to a variety of cult classics from the early 1980s.

Simon W returns to Borft Records with 5 funky analog tracks moving somewhere in the borderlands between Acid House, EBM, Electro and dirty slow Housey Techno. It's slightly skewed and wobbly, disharmonic, distorted and twisted in ways that will make asses wobble robotically on the floor. Go get! Review by Joakim Cosmo

UK tech stalwart Aubrey has dropped many classics, but this one from all the way back in 1997 takes some beating. It came on the Offshoot label and has been in demand and much coveted ever since, and now reappears on his own Solid Groove imprint. 'Marathon' opens up with a liquid synth and dubby bass combo that comes to life with a warm, fizzy lead that suspends you just above the floor. 'Evacuation' has a more rigid lead and mechanical drums that work you into a lather and '6 Pole' sits somewhere between the two as a stylish, soul-infused tool that sounds as good today as ever. This is a top reissue that will excite all the real heads.

After a two-year pause, CHILDHOOD returns with a new 12", GROUND SUPPORT by REDUKS The release introduces REDUKS, a young Munich-based artist whose path crossed with Muallem through Blitz. What began as a working relationship quickly turned into a shared musical understanding. Despite the difference in generation, both are connected by a similar sensitivity: a deep respect for the past, an awareness of the present, and a clear instinct for what lies ahead. Sharing a studio, this connection naturally translated into music. REDUKS brings a rare combination of emotional intuition and technical precision -- a producer with a deep-rooted understanding of club music, yet unbound by formula. The result is a collection of four dub house cuts, each shaped for a different moment across the night. Timeless in character, the tracks lean into subtlety and function -- built for the dance floor, but never confined to it. This record also marks the beginning as the first release of an ongoing series.

Faki takes the raw Ghetto-tech energy of the original and embeds it into a massive, modern framework. While the iconic vocal hook retains its street-level grit, the Hardspace update provides a significantly tighter groove and a powerful low-end presence, propelling the track from the warehouse straight into the present.
A2. Myles Sergé - Trans Milenio (Hardspace Mix) With Myles Sergé, Faki explores more hypnotic territory. He extracts the driving, repetitive elements of the original and sharpens the rhythmic angles. The result is a prime example of the Hardspace sound: a deep, almost meditative loop that gains entirely new spatial depth through subtle filter movements and a crystal-clear percussion layer.
B1. Jad & The - Deep Dark Grimey Dancefloor Moment (Hardspace Mix) On the flip side, Faki leans into the brooding atmosphere of Jad & The. As the name suggests, this mix is crafted for the "wee hours". Faki amplifies the "grimey" textures and contrasts them with a stoic, forceful beat. The trippy, almost menacing synth elements are rearranged within the stereo field, creating an immersive pull that is impossible to escape.
B2. Deepchild - Baller (Hardspace Mix) To close out the EP, Faki brings the jacking spirit of Deepchild's "Baller" back into the ring. Honest John was a significant Knoxville, Tennessee DJ and record store owner who released a few 45s on his own label in the 1960s.

Skyjoose and Johnnie Clark set out to push the boundaries of UK Garage and 2-Step, crafting a sound that was raw, souldful, and ahead of its time. The project became known as The Stalker – a name that would quietly echo through the underground. Though countless tracks emerged from those sessions, only two saw the light of day on the original Stalker EP released in the year 2000.

Now, 25 years later, The Stalker returns from the depths of the DAT archives – remastered, reawakened, and ready to move dancefloors once again. This special repress features the two original vocal mixes from the Stalker EP, plus four additional club weapons forged in those same legendary sessions – three of which have never been released…until now.

Daybreakers keep it moving in 2026 with another essential drop from Chicago’s Vick Lavender. Following on from Vol. 1, Essential Traxx Vol. 2 digs even deeper into that soulful, live house sound that Vick’s been perfecting for decades on his label Sophisticado.

Following a successful first volume of the newly launched DC4 compilation this summer, Volume 2 arrives featuring four on-point singles from the label’s extended family of artists, alongside a string of label debutants. Heerhorst & PETER PAHN return to the fold following their contribution to ‘Dark Clouds’ with Teenage Mutants, a former Beatport no.1 and highlight of 2023 for the label. Continuing the celestial themes ‘Crystal Sky’ feels like part 2 to ‘Dark Sky’, a lively electro-tinted record driven by dreamy melody lines and chanting vocals that has plenty of peak-time energy. Rising German artist Kos:mo mints his first release on DC with ‘Samsara', a fierce acid techno cut that takes on a life of its own in the second stanza, equally fit for a film soundtrack as a dancefloor, such is its dramatic arc. OZBEK & Zafer Atabey are mainstays of the Turkish techno and tech house scene, ‘My Culture’ is drenched in attitude, a slick slice of punchy dancefloor grit, with a foot in house, techno and electro, driven by a rapped vocal line.

First up is Japanese downtempo master Calm with exclusive, never-before-on-vinyl versions of originals by Cantoma, Aura Safari, DJ Sofa’s Dream Baby Dream, Seahawks, Gallo, Yuichiro Kato and more. The release comes with rich liner notes by the authoritative Dr Rob from Ban Ban Ton Ton, and a second volume from Is It Balearic's Coyote will follow soon.

Remixes have always been at the heart of Hell Yeah's output as a way of reworking classic sounds into different contexts, allowing artists to explore outside their usual remit and also to introduce new talents. Clam has long perfected the art with his famously laidback takes on all sorts of Balearic, house, dub and acid under the Mellow Mellow Acid subtitle. He's remixed many a Japanese legend but also a wealth of artists from across the world, and eight of those reimagined gems balance euphoria with solitude on this first volume.

First, his take on Cantoma's 'Way To The Sun' infuses drones and chimes with bubbly acid. 'Sur Mon Balconett' shimmers with Spanish guitar and sultry sax, ghosts of yesterday still shuffling. 'Banana Trance' jolts with breakbeats while taking a Balearic leap into hedonism. Mininn’s 'Vertigo' drifts dubwise, from monastic chants to operatic bursts. Maho’s 'Bakuhatsu' growls dark and sleazy as acid and riffs collide, 'Abysso' floats with strings and sirens in symphony, 'Blue Surround' lulls before exploding with jazz fire and Kato’s 'Kiss of Life' closes with a cosmic, romantic serenade. Welsh multi-instrumentalist and producer Huw Marc Bennett sinks his hands deep into the soil of South Wales, reimagining traditional melodies from the Morgannwg/Glamorgan region through an earth-toned palette of folk, jazz and psychedelic roots. ‘Heol Las’ is ancient music seen through a modern prism; acoustic textures rubbing up against hypnotic grooves, field-worn stories refracted into new shapes.

Every track on the album is either drawn directly from, or woven around, archival tunes of the region. Bennett’s approach is reverent yet expansive, pulling history into the present while staying grounded in community, landscape, and lived culture.

Bennett says, “On this record there are versions, interpretations and tunes influenced by cerddoriaeth werin, the folk music of Morgannwg; The place I was born, I was raised in and revisit to feel grounded. The melodies you hear were given, found and invented.”

Asyncronous return with their third EP "Selected Memories We Never Had" - a refined continuation of the Ukrainian project's signature blend of ambient and downtempo. On this release, their sound evolves into a more cinematic, immersive form, shaped by layered atmospheres, subtle melodic narratives, and deep emotional textures. The EP balances introspective mood with strong visual imagination, positioning Asyncronous firmly within the space between contemporary ambient, electronica, and film-influenced sound design.

This release marks the relaunch of Kashtan, a Ukrainian record label curated by Vera Logdanidi. After a pause caused by the full-scale war in Ukraine, Kashtan returns with its first vinyl release since 2022, dedicated to forward-looking Ukrainian electronic music beyond strict genre definitions.

For fans of post-punk and new wave, some songs aren’t just classics — they’re emotional landmarks. Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” and The Cure’s “A Forest” (both released in 1980) helped define an era, shaping decades of alternative music with their stark honesty, atmosphere, and unmistakable sound. Revisiting them is no small task.

Reimagining them successfully is even rarer. This special, limited 7” release — pressed to just 300 copies — does exactly that, thanks to legendary Dutch electronic producer Maarten van der Vleuten. A joint effort between Maarten’s own Signum Recordings and American chill-out imprint re:discovery records, he brings these two towering songs into new territory through the hands of an artist who understands both history and transformation. On one side, Maarten delivers a striking cover of “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” taking on Ian Curtis’ immortal lyrics himself. Rather than mimicking the original’s desolation, this version reframes the song into something unexpectedly inspirational and equally moving. It’s respectful, deeply personal, and emotional. Flip the record and “A Forest” is reborn as an ambient-electro journey, marking the vocal debut of Melbourne-based Linda Kastanja.
The result is dynamic and powerful, retaining the song’s eerie tension while expanding its atmosphere into something spacious and cinematic. Honoring their legacy while reshaping their form, it offers longtime fans and new listeners a rare opportunity to hear familiar emotions from a completely new perspective. Tatsache: trotz des Namens und unserer wohldokumentierten Vorliebe für Kölner Bier ist KÖLSCH kein Rheinländer und er hat sich auch nicht nach dem Lokalbräu benannt. Selbst weltweit hoch gehandelte Hits und eine Reihe profilträchtiger Live-Auftritte scheinen allerdings nichts daran zu ändern, daß der preisgekrönte dänische Produzent Rune Reilly Kölsch regelmäßig konfuse Fragen nach dem eigenen Namen weggrätschen muß. Und doch könnte er nicht deutlicher werden: man denke an etablierte Flurfavoriten wie OPA, DER ALTE oder SILBERPFEIL... diese Tracktitel beziehen sich samt und sonders auf Runes Erinnerungen an eine Kindheit in Deutschland. '1977' ist nicht einfach nur entseeltes 'Best Of'-Gemenge: mit brandneuen Eisen wie BASSHUND, BAPPEDECKEL und EISWINTER im Feuer braucht KÖLSCH sich nun wirklich keine Gedanken über die zukünftige Wirkgeschichte seines Werks zu machen. Und dann ist da eine Rillenzirze wie OMA, hoch emotionaler Konterpart zum leicht sardonischen OPA und in jeder Hinsicht ebenso mitreissend wie die kanonische Überballade ALL THAT MATTERS. Für das große Finale schließlich wendet sich Rune an LORELEY, das bestimmende Initialrelease des Projekts und bis heute ein massiver Kracher von eigenem Recht - in der Tat so gewaltig, daß der Schock von gleich zwei weiteren Tracks gepuffert werden muss, dem dramatischen WASSERSCHUTZ und einem trojanischen Pferd namens FELIX. Letzteres sollte ja eigentlich eine Art Outro für das Album sein... doch dann hat jemand den Knopf gedrückt und das transdimensionale Portal erwachte zum Leben.

Sampler 5 begins with the breakthrough record from Norwegian producer "Finnebassen". "If You Only Knew" was a big hit for him in 2012, the record was best known for that hypnotic Aaliyah sample used throughout the entire track. A2 brings the very rare remix of this uber classic "The Sound Of Violence" by "Cassius". The "Franco Cinelli" remix is a very successful approach to this classic.

On B1 we find a real anthem. "World Cup" by "Kiko" is a delightful classic from 1999 but to this day it is impossible to imagine today's DJ sets without it. B2 then brings the delicious "Still In The Groove" from "Reckless", of course in that famous "Def Offenders" remix.

"Phil Fuldner" is still very active as a DJ and producer today. You can find his dreamy "Lights Off" from 2010 on C1. And speaking of dreams. "Winter" by "Aril Brikha" is another incredible classic that should definitely not be missed in your collection.

On D1 we find the Australian and headstrong singer "Sia" with her classic "The Girl You Lost On Cocaine", but in that fantastic and hard to find "Stonebridge Vocal" mix.

Last on Sampler 5 we dive back into the nineties with the memorable club classic "Closer" by "Liquid" on D2.

Closing the record is a remix from Sicilian producer LPV, a close friend and admirer who reworks "Tsufuru Relaxation" with his signature dark, driving approach. He strips it down, adds a relentless bassline, and gives the track a completely different, moody and ethereal energy while respecting what made the original work.

SNOMIR is the collaboration between Mirko Iobbi and Sabatino Matteucci, blending live musicianship with clubfocused electronic production. The A-side features “Air” and “Fire,” two jazz-driven house tracks where expressive sax lines glide over warm, groove-led rhythms. Organic, fluid and built for movement. On the B-side, “Caveman” shifts into deeper dub techno territory. Hypnotic structures, textured low-end and sax riffs woven directly into the sonic fabric.

With a new alias, TM404, Andreas Tilliander has created enjoyable ambient dub simmering with life and details. The songs have all been recorded live, in real time in the studio. A unique way of operating within today's electronic music. - Everything is recorded in one take. Nothing is post arranged, says Andreas Tilliander, and adds that this might be his most ambitious album ever. The project's name is also a tribute to Roland, although of the more intricate kind. - When they made these machines in the eighties, they avoided the 404, since the sound for four, 'chi', is the same as the sound for death in Japanese. At that time it was therefore taboo and the 404 was never launched. Not until now, due to my album!

Andreas Tilliander returns to Kontra-Musik in a grand style with his second TM404 album. Titled 'Acidub', this highly anticipated release is much more of an evolution than a repetition of the first superbly self-restricted album, where Tilliander even decided to use only one of the two Roland TB-303 waveforms. Acidub is a more playful and open listening experience, no doubt inspired by his extensive live touring with the TM404 concept. In fact, you can almost hear Tilliander's flock of acid machines breaking free from the restrained modus operandi. Every sound is like a migratory bird with a heart yearning for high altitude and favourable winds. The opening track Alinge paints a lucid picture of these acid birds leaving a cold industrial landscape behind, the flickering black shadows from their wings against the white smoke rising from a forest of chimneys below. The very last seconds of Alinge even echo of the place the silver birds are longing for, but that will remain a secret between Kontra-Musik and the avid listener. Sufficient to say, we can follow these birds of passage as they're heading south towards a warmer climate, fleeing the cold discipline of the North. Mutron Mantra, for instance, brings us to a rainforest full of serpentine lianas, giant leaves dripping with moist and green pools of water bubbling with organic life. Don't Defend Mascot guides us through a steaming savannah at dusk with hundreds of yellow eyes following our every step while Pade vividly describes the perils of the flight and the pace and courage needed to press on. In all, Acidub is a surprisingly exuberant follow-up to the more introspective TM404 album. But while the musical journey of this second album is quite different, the experience of sheer aural eminence remains the same. Andreas Tilliander has done it again, and Kontra-Musik couldn't be prouder.

The subsequent album had a more playful vibe, shaped by Tilliander's extensive live touring. This third TM404 album on Kontra-Musik simply tells the story of what he's been up to since. The third part of a musical diary, initiated in 2013. The TM404 venture might have started out as a dreamy acid dub project, more suited for the chill-out than the main floor. But by popular demand Tillander found himself touring big clubs around the globe and the TM404 sound adapted organically. As a result, the album features tracks like Vactro and Rymdeko: fast paced acidic techno tracks in the same vein as classic Plus 8 releases, but with more space echo. Much more. But never fear, fans of the classic warm and bubbling TM404 sound. You'll certainly get yours as well. A substantial portion of this album was recorded in a studio flat in Berlin as part of an artist residency. For obvious reasons, Tilliander could only bring a small portion of his studio gear to this German sanctuary. As a consequence, this album has a more stripped down vibe than its predecessors, which creates more space for Tilliander's glowing melodies. The last track on the album, a loving homage to Kontra-Musik's label boss, is a sublime example. And for the Instagram generation, here's the short version: The album is called Syra. "Gregor Salto" is at it again! Sampler 6 opens with that other and hard to find classic of his "Your Friend". A club classic that has won the hearts of countless clubbers and house fanatics around the world since 2009. And speaking of hearts; Belgian dj-producer "DJ Wout" released this beautiful and emotional remix of "D. Van Horn's" "Somebody Now To Love". A true trance classic and typical in sound for that period that you can find on A2.

On B1 we find a more recent track but which you can already say is a future classic. "MZ" from "Sascha Funke" is still played to this day by top DJs like Solomun and very hard to find on vinyl. A must have! Dutch producer "Karmon" delivered this catchy deephouse remix of "Fabo's" "Where I Stand" in 2012. You can find it on B2.

On C1 we find the beautiful "Andain" classic in the "Gabriel & Dresden Unplugged Mix". "Beautiful Things" was picked up by "Tiësto" at the time and has made it a true classic. Hard to find on vinyl.

"Moko" "Fly" on C2 is a very catchy and quirky track from 2010 that never had a vinyl release! Highly recommended!

D1 brings the dreamy and highly sought after "Today" from "POB & Taylor" in the "Seismic" remix after which we close with D2 with a true classic.

"My Moon My Man" by "Feist" is probably that record which remix is better than the original. "Boys Noize" was responsible for this in 2007 and the rest is as they say history.

Since 2020, 12 Inch Lovers has embarked on an exhilarating journey, characterized by sold-out parties and samplers that have built a loyal fanbase. These samplers consistently find their way to collectors in search of contemporary classics. Samplers 7 & 8 once again constitute a collection of true classics, rare gems, and club tracks that have never before appeared on vinyl.
