Rebotini is also a master of the remix, collaborating with legendary acts like Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Nitzer Ebb, and Bloc Party amongst others, and delivering a standout reinterpretation of Bronski Beat’s "Smalltown Boy" for the "120 Beats Per Minute" soundtrack. His remix work blends respect for the originals with his own creative power, placing him among the most revered names in electronic music.

The EP opens with “Snowy Sunday Smile”, a track that combines melodic depth with techno power, showcasing Rebotini's mastery of analog live performance in a compelling and emotional way. “Abnegation Electronique” follows with a subtle homage to Drexciya’s universe, fusing deep basslines and hypnotic layers to create a pure and immersive electro experience. Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell return for their third outing on James Ruskin's Blueprint Records to follow their "Geometriska Strukturer EP" in 2023 and "Marvatten EP" last year.

This Swedish duo have built an impressive reputation since their production debut in 2000 and have gone on to release music on labels including Audio Assault, Symbolism, Blueprint, H. Productions, ARMS, XXX Records, and their own Lømsk label which they launched in 2022.

The annual Bonkers Music compilation returns, delivering another round of high-energy bangers. This year, the release explores a slightly evolved musical style while staying true to its signature sound. A1. Neskeh’s “106 Cabrel” revolves around a melodic yet hypnotically repetitive lead sequence, crafted to evoke a trance-like state on the dance floor and radiate positive energy. The foundation of big, punchy kicks and a robust bassline gives it a quintessential club vibe.

Intruso hailing from Bogota, now based in Barcelona brings “Somos Acido” this track draws inspiration from the early 2000’s House and Trance, capturing the nostalgia and emotional resonance of his first experiences with electronic music as a child. B3. Argentinian born, Australia based producer Poulper teams up with Mexican maestro Hugo Vallejo to kick off this intergalactic adventure. This track weaves together acid-laced elements and an infectious rhythm, layered with haunting post-dark vocals that narrate the fiery, cosmic tale of love burning in the vast expanse of space. A bold and immersive journey into the unknown, perfect for this stellar compilation.

FIRE UP: Fifteen successful releases later, Anetha continues to fan the flames with MTY-FEU, an incandescent new compilation. Titled «Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble», the release stands for fusion and oneness.

The incredibly talented visual artist FEMUR crafted the artwork by creating an AI-generated meta-crackle of fire. Diplomatie Studio handled the design while mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep, except for Anetha’s edit, where mix and mastering credits go to Le Dom. We’ve opted for bio-vinyls for this release, knowing that one day these records will return to ashes, only to rise again, like the phoenix.

The Rising Wave marks the debut collaboration between singer-songwriter Marlene Ribeiro (of psychedelic band GNOD) and electronic producer Shackleton under the name Light Space Modulator. The album will be released via AD 93.

London based House label Inermu brings the seventeenth release in their Vinyl Only series in the form of this 3 track EP from James Dexter, Dominic Aquila.

In musical terms, Bill Converse is as iconic as the basketball sneaker with which he shares his name. He's a techno favourite and veteran of the Midwest scene who has come up under the likes of Claude Young and Traxx but very much fomented his own sound. Here the American ace returns to Dark Entries with a new seven-track exploration of raw, analogue-driven techno. His sound blends the acid grit of Relief Records, the hypnotic pulses of early IDM and Detroit's energy all with an unpredictability that mirrors that of his live sets. He makes fine use of classic hardware like the Roland TB-303 and modern modular synthesis to cook up off-kilter rhythms and abrupt shifts that keep you on edge. Another vital and visceral offering from this legend.

We all remember with mixed feelings the past two years of domestic isolation: a temporary anomaly in which the world had to adjust to a new routine, a new rhythm. In these daunting yet precious circumstances, Italian producer Markeno has found his rhythm back, dusting off old records and re-approaching his past musical love affairs that he believed to be long forgotten. Here, in the fertile limbo that connects past and future, “Dock lown (exploring)” is born: a 3-tracker release with a chameleonic nature and an undeniable groove, in which Markeno is able to tactfully combine different genres such as indie, post-rock, African mu- sic, electro and funk.

In the contemporary music scene, overly saturated with catchy melodies and seductive lyrics, it is refreshing to encounter a composition like “Fase 01”, which starts from a purely percussive structure. Just when the ear is settled and well inserted into the tangle of drums, here comes the melodic twist, no less than at the fourth minute, injecting an unexpected groove and chalking out the contours of a track with multiple personalities: a little esoteric, a little synth-wave, quirky and badass. The temperature rises with “Zona Ros- sa”, in which the electro hint sketched in “Fase 01” becomes more pronounced, opening the doors to a dense psychedelic scenario. A shamanic loop accompanies the electric bass and escorts us through the smoke of the bonfire, veils swayed by the wind and colored lights that sparkle in the night. The ritualistic humming of ‘’Zona Rossa”’ is still hearable, floating in the rarefied atmosphere, while the last track “Limbo” makes its entrance and confirms once again the poliedric but congruous essence of this release, whose percussive attitude lures you in and whose hypnotic and groovy body makes you stay. At least for one more dance.

discos elgozo is proud to present our second single with two songs by Las Raras Del Folclor, a queer feminist musical project from the Colombian Caribbean, which harnesses the decolonising power of cumbia and drums to heal the community and transgress patriarchal orders. This musical project is part of the LBT Raras no tan Raras Corporation, which was born in 2019 in preparation for LGBT Pride Day in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Las Raras Del Folclor are feminist, maricas, drummers and caribbean. Their musical proposal is a disruptive political bet, where the lyrics carry a message of respect for the lives and re-existences of sexual and gender diversities, while the drumming and collective chants unite us in the joy of the movement of our diverse bodies. If in the first track, La Denuncia, we find the strength of our ancestral women to confront patriarchal violence, in the second track, La Pajarera, we find the community that welcomes and cares for us.

Emotional Rescue and Utopia Originals join forces to release the pop, new wave, funk of Obscure Desire, a one-off project and EP from effervescent 80s Auckland, New Zealand that saw three friends come together to make a perfect piece of club pop history.

Revolving around the musical talent of Andrew Waldergrave, a trained pianist, music degree drop-out, who moved to the island’s cultural centre of Auckland and emersed himself in the arts and nightlife scene the city had to offer.

Working at Obscure Desire, a Fashion Boutique meets Salon, he became friends with Grant Mitchell and Giselle Trezevant, together forming not a band, but as they saw it, a project to make a record for their scene and beyond.

Coming from outside of the established band route of endless rehearsals, local gigs, growing a fan base and home recordings, they fell did not have the support network of indigenous New Zealand labels. As so often the case in unearthing these lost reissue gems, the artists took matters into their own hands, seeking to write, record and release themselves.

After meeting Trevor Reekie, head of the local Pagan Records label, he took on production duties. Collating the necessary musicians, the project grew from the one song to become a full EP, recording between a home 16 track studio and a full 24 track desk at Harlequin Studios.

Centred around the title song, it is a perfect pop moment. Waldergrave’s piano leads into an infectious groove of slap bass, gated drums, Reekie’s acoustic guitar and cut vocals, before Trezevant’s vocals propel the song to an 80s swing out vibrations. Coming in Extended, Harlequin and Instrumental (digital only) mixes, this was an overload of White Funk.

Here reduced to the best two versions, more room is given to let the other recordings breathe, first the gloriously anthemic instrumental Bullet. Intricate programming and production, lead into the pop sensibility of I Wonder, some kind of wonderful antipodean reimagining of Chris & Cosey finest pop moments, an optimistic paene that permeates the whole EP. Closing 4A, espouses the Jazz Funk, with Trezevant’s simple French lyrics telling of dreams of a lover’s image.

Released in 1986 with no local support from radio and TV, it became something of a “hit” record in New Zealand’s more discerning clubs, however the members soon moved to London and the project remained a one-off moment. Over time the EP has gained cult status to become globally desired that sees copies of the original 12” selling for $000s. Now at last available for a global reach, while remaining a personal, uplifting moment of time.

If ever there were an act that so correctly set out their stall with a well-chosen name, this was it, and its criminal that such an accomplished act has remained barely known until now. From 1975, these are the earliest of the buried-tape revelations in our Albina-Portland series, and also the straight-up funkiest. Both horn-led sides are among the finest discoveries of their ilk, too – tight but fluid, heavy but joyous – utterly splendid joints that would have set the old Deep Funk scene ablaze.

This catchy vocal floating on top of a modern Motown inspiredbass line has had crowds singing along night after night. On this vinyl and digital package,legends Louie Vega and Tommy Musto take their remix turns on 'Elevation' along with labelbosses Soul Clap plus an exclusive percapella from 2Fox.

Louie Vega’s remix turns up the tempo and swings with a heavy bass piano line, knocking percussions, sweeping synth pads. Laville and background vocalists Nandi and Beth Aggetthave plenty of space to soar and give this remix a gospel tinge. It’s a nine plus minute ceremonyof sound that will still leave you wanting more and more!

Tuskegee returns with serious intent and a fresh club weapon from a recognised statesman of house music, Junior Sanchez. Having written and collaborated with artists including Daft Punk, Armand Van Helden, Todd Terry, and Roger Sanchez, ‘Bitch U Could Neva’ pairs Sanchez with vocalist and songwriter Dave Giles II, riding high himself following link-ups with Honey Dijon, Mike Dunn, and a producer on Beyonce’s anthemic ‘Cozy’.

‘Bitch U Could Neva’ is a powerful, instantaneous trip back into the underground style and attitude shared between both artists, reflecting the vibe of Sanchez’s rise to success in the halcyon days of New York nineties clubbing, alongside Giles II’s own youth in the Chicago creative scene. Living up to the attitude of its title, ‘Bitch U Could Neva’ bumps with peak-time energy, jackhammer drums and chopped-up vocals never undermining its fundamental sensuality, an increasingly rare link between true, authentic dancefloors past and present.

The pair then look to London for a confident, stripped-back take from prestigious record collector and curator GIDEON. The founder of dance music institutions Adonis and Glastonbury’s infamous Block 9 goes deep to find the track’s potential as a minimal, vogue-adjacent house workout, scattered with telephone dial tones and an upfront disclosure; “Bitch, I’m serving.”

Back across the Atlantic, Physical Therapy and Michael Mangan team up under their Fatherhood project to give ‘Bitch U Could Neva’ a seriously bouncy redress, winding tight drums atop a rubbery bassline and paying their own Twilo and Tunnel-era tributes with cut-up vocals and an ecstatic onslaught of rave stabs.

This is a very special 10", part of a series where some old friends take some old work and make it even older! Nick from Smart Es, aka "Bang", is responsible for a huge number of undisputed classics from the late 90's and early 2000's, and he is long time friends with both Al Storm, and Luna-C / Cru-l-t. So between the three of them, they have decided to do a series of remixes where they take some of the classic Bang tunes and roll them back in time to the early 90s, giving them a vintage feel for the modern day...and they started with possibly the biggest of them all...Shooting Star!

An exciting name within the contemporary house landscape, Christou has earned his ever-rising reputation with releases via influential imprints such as Hot Creations, Paradise Music, Cuttin’ Headz and Fools Gold Records - collaborating with renowned names like A-Trak and Robert Owens - as well as his own V-House Sound imprint. Now, with ‘Desire’, the DJ/producer and label boss delivers a refined yet electrifying showcase of his sound, blending rolling grooves and subtle intricacies.Title track ‘Desire’ opens the release with its deep, pulsating basslines, crisp percussion, and a sultry vocal line that lures listeners into its infectious energy. Luke's Anger (real name Luke Sanger) delivers his first outing on Love Love, Ceiling Walker. Sanger is a relentlessly interesting hero of the underground, probably best known as a techno and electro producer and an active player in the live experimental techno scene across Europe, notably including multiple appearances at Berghain/PanoramaBar. Based out of Norwich, UK, Luke has put out a plethora of banging records for two decades in styles from across the rave spectrum on some of our favourite record labels like Tigerbeat6, Don't and Sneaker Social Club, as well as an increasing amount of more ambient-leaning releases under his real name in recent years. Recognised as a true techno stalwart, Luke has received support from the likes of Surgeon, Dave Clarke, The Advent and Jerome Hill.

This EP fits firmly into the 'banging' camp - more than a nod to classic stateside sci-fi electro stylings as well as UK dance music's bleep techno bass foundations, this is popping, caustic, mechanical phunk expertly engineered to make you shake and wiggle. On the flipside, title track Ceiling Walker utilises rushing crescendos and fluttering analogue rhythms to keep the dancefloor in rapture while closer, Silicon Boogie, achieves maximum levels of funk by aptly juxtaposing digi vocal snippets against square wave bass.

After almost two decades in the game, Flevans has had releases and features across diverse labels including Tru Thoughts, Jalapeno Records, Boogie Angst, Ninja Tune and Ministry of Sound. His new album (the first on his own label) marks a new chapter for him as a producer, whilst showcasing some of the many styles of music which have influenced and inspired him over his musical journey so far.

Taking in instrumental hip-hop, funk, soul & disco alongside Flevans' trademark live instrumentation (he plays guitar, keys & bass across all tracks) 'The Foundation' expertly pieces together all these styles and sounds into a wonderfully cohesive and upbeat LP.

Support for Flevans across this release and recent albums has come from DJ's and radio luminaries including Fatboy Slim, Purple Disco Machine, Gilles Peterson, Steve Lamacq and Craig Charles.

Electro music heroes DJ Di'jital, Microthol, Alex Cortex and Luxus Varta step up to the plate for the TRUST XY recombination series, recreating classic tracks from the Austrian label's history in their unique styles. Volume 4 of the series has Detroit veteran DJ Di'jital cut up DJ Glow's 'Whoami' from 2002 in ghetto bass MPC fashion. Vienna electro scientists Microthol remake J/V/N Machine's 'Somewhere Tonight' in one of their rare transmissions. Alex Cortex bares his soul as a pioneering minimalist in stripping down 'Honokida' by /DL/MS/ to its harmonic core, and electro virtuoso Luxus Varta brings out the melancholy funk in Populist's 'Psychometric Profiling'.

From the same recording sessions as Bézier's first EP on Körperspannung records 'Negative Velocity', 'Contraption' channels a few moods and scenarios.

On the a-side 'Contraption' is an insignificant droplet darting through the sky. Soon it joins a disarray of objects positioned above the atmosphere, maneuvers in formation to reveal randomized, decentralized nodes packed for mayhem.

On the b-side Bézier shows a slice of his lived experience. Back in 2004 he used to go to house parties around East LA with friends they grew up with every weekend to listen to music. Winding through the Southern Californian roadway sprawl they'd drive 1/2 an hour to 1 hour on the I-10 (sometimes diverting to Route 60 if gridlock is expected) to get to the location, usually in a residential neighborhood. Being respectful of the communities and the struggle of the progenitors of this music, Bézier presents 'Blue Halo' as an homage to that sound with a twist: Cumbia-Synth to provide a little sauce for your ears. Dave Easlick joins the milieu to provide a percussive framework for this tune.

Lastly, 'Bit by an Electric Wire' showcases Easlick's drumming with an overlay from Bézier. As Dave rips and shreds through his drum kit the OCD machine living inside Yang's brain switches on and organizes, collates and files that dataset into a hardcore rhythm track.

The label Remedy Music VLC has selected the song What We’ve Lost from the LP Groove Chronicles to release it in the king format of soul disco music: 7" vinyl.

This standout track features Angolan artist Mabreezee, whose powerful vocals are complemented by sweeping strings reminiscent of Morricone’s cinematic scores. It’s a stirring and soulful piece that captures the depth and emotion Freedust brings to their music.

Freedust, the duo of Italian composer Daniele Carmosino and Swedish singer Lisa Widmark, have spent two decades crafting their unique blend of jazz, funk, and hip-hop. Groove Chronicles marks a new level of sophistication in their work, delivering a vibrant, timeless sound filled with soul, sunshine, and unmistakable passion.

As bassist for dance-punk outfit The Rapture, Mattie Safer cut his teeth in the music scene alongside a wave of now-legendary early 2000s NYC acts like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem and more (a time period recently immortalized in the documentary film ‘Meet Me In The Bathroom.’) Fast-forward nearly 2 decades and Mattie has found the sweeter side of dance music as the current lead vocalist for slo-mo kings Poolside, and now he presents his 2nd solo lovetempo project on Razor-N-Tape.

Championed heavily by Gilles Peterson, lovetempo’s modern soul classic 'But I Do' gets a vinyl release with a trio of remixes. Crackazat delivers in his signature style, weav-ing the organic elements and earworm vocals of the original into a deep and jazzy mix. Lon-doner Daisybelle bumps the BPMs up a few notches and adds pulsing synths to her take, and Brazilian duo From House To Disco turn in a dubby club remix to round out the record.

Long time friend of the label, DJ extraordinaire and one of the nicest guys in the business, Danny has been flexing his production muscle again much more frequently over the last 12 months and we’re delighted to be hosting two brand new tracks from him on this vinyl release.
