Reissued for the first time on vinyl, the debut album by English post-punk heroes Snake Corps, originally released in 1984 on Midnight Music. The band raised from the ashes of Sad Lovers & Giants, after their official split in 1983. Led by Tristan Garel-Funk and Nigel Pollard (who immediately left the band replaced by Jon Greville of Rudimentary Peni). Often championed by legendary John Peel, The Snake Corps deserve a major recognition for their epic sound often reminiscent of early U2 and Ultravox.

Keith Tippett was just twenty-one when his group recorded the first of these sets for BBC’s Jazz Workshop on May 21st 1969, three months before the recording of his first album, You Are Here – I Am There. Featured on Side One is the three-part “Portishead Suite,” which presents three stylistically different musical portraits of three generations of the Somerset town. The first is comparatively gentle and flowing but the second portrait is more insistent, its 5/4 tempo bringing to mind themes heard on early King Crimson albums. The third portrait has something of the Caribbean in its playful rhythms. “Hail Conquering Hero” can be heard on Side Two, and is described by Tippett as ‘a jazz study of war.’ None of these compositions have ever appeared officially in any form. Also included on Side Two are two tracks from Tippett’s August 1970 session for BBC Top Gear that was advertised as by Keith Tippett & Heavy Friends.

"Habe Brille" ist benannt nach einem Stück aus einer Operette von Jacques Offenbach und der Titel deutet schon an, wohin die musikalische Reise geht: Es wird ein weiter Bogen geschlagen von der Klassik (hier brilliert Wölfi mit einem a capella Solo über acht Oktaven), Big Band-Einspielungen bis zu düsteren technoiden Maschinenklängen, wobei das Hauptgewicht selbstverständlich auf solidem Punkrock liegt. Ghetto Records was Latin music legend Joe Bataan’s way to get over on The Man and out of the ’hood, a bold move by an artist looking for independence and creative control in an industry that had exploited his talents and treated him like chattel.



As Bataan puts it today, “Ghetto Records was part of my journey, a stepping stone to everything else that I’ve done. I learned enough that it enabled me to get out of the box with my thinking, it showed me how to deal with adversity.” Like many dreams and schemes born of the street, this one was audacious, perhaps even reckless to a fault.

Hatched from desperation yet full of hope Ghetto Records came crashing down shortly after its inception. The seven albums in its discography languished out of print - until now.

Attwenger kommentieren den Zustand einer überhitzten Gesellschaft, ohne den moralischen Zeigefinger zu heben. Un Canto por México, Vol. 2 is Natalia Lafourcade's second album dedicated to the reconstruction of the Centro de Docementación del Son Jarocho, a cultural building that was damaged after the 2017 Puebla earthquake. The album features unique new interpretations of her earlier songs, as well as collaborations with artists such as Caetano Veloso and Silvana Estrada. This album really showcases the enduring strength of her songs, which remain powerful in any form.

French artist Swan Wisnia, under her solo project molto morbidi, announces her second album Maybe Marcel for release on April 17th via No Salad Records. An experimental album forged in both tenderness and turmoil, combining art / weird pop and baroque pop, the album moves between the intimate and raw to the playful and inventive, creating a universe that is at once dark and hopeful.

These raw recordings were later reshaped into 12 songs by Vincent Epplay at Studio Villejuif in Paris. Give It Back! was the sixth studio album by American psychedelic rock band The Brian Jonestown Massacre, originally released in 1997 by record label Bomp!. First time on 180g audiophile vinyl. Notably, this is the only album that features Peter Hayes, who later founded the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The sessions for the record were filmed for the documentary Dig!. Though only a couple of minutes of these sessions appear in the film.

"Brudna - Bielizna" is the second album by the boy band KOSMONAUCI. This album consists of original compositions by the band members, which were created over the past two years and evolved together with the artists during concerts. The Kosmonauts' music is rooted in jazz and improvisation, but over time, the musicians have developed many new paths and ways of drawing from many other, seemingly disparate musical genres. On the album "Brudna - Bielizna" the Kosmonauts continue to explore various genre and stylistic combinations. However, the second album is more focused and connected to the band members' jazz inspirations. KOSMONAUCI have been playing together since high school, and this is clearly audible.

These transmissions started taking shape in a Toronto studio back in 2024. Toronto's own Cindy Ciel - also ½ of Cloudsteppers - blessed the EP with a body-moving banger of her own.

First issued in 1990 on the UK's 'Faze 1 FM' label, Trevor Dale's SMILING / SUMMER 88 has become somewhat of a holy grail house record. This is the first time these tracks have been re-issued in any form.

Also included here are two other tracks from his Torrington Foe side-project: 'Take Me Back' from 1990 (featuring vocals from Chicago's Robert Owens) and the deep acid cut 'Morning Shuffle' from 1994.
