Four deeeep timeless tracks on this 12 inch. Sleek, progressive, acidy house & trancey ethereal breaks ‘Back 2 Earth’ is full of that headsy 90’s energy à la Underworld and Orbital…..we’ve been getting very lost in these ones!

Written remotely between Brooklyn, New York (BAILE) and Yerevan, Armenia (Nuage) both producers are more than a decade deep in their craft and it shows. They say “this all began with Nuage sending over a few short demos. BAILE took those pieces and constructed them into more fleshed out tracks, after which the two passed the songs back and forth slowly filling in the blanks.” …and that's the key here - no rush, no agenda just the realest takes expertly hewn.


Same Beat on the A1 is just that.. breakbeats, spoken word vocal chops and repetitive synth lines, but less is more. The percussion, bassline and programming do the work. Sometimes it's more about what you leave out than what you put in.

On ‘TSP’ you Nuage’s signature metallic synths. It’s a definite eyes closed/hands in the air weapon. Hypnotic flow building and ratcheting up the energy.

Flip over to title track’ Back 2 Earth’ and we get a trancey, garage and house blend. Sleek synths & arpeggios and minimal chops that seem to whisper ‘heaven…earth’.. BAILE utilized the Prophet Rev2 for pads and synths and a Moog Little Phatty and Minitaur for the bass but we want to know can a breakbeat soothe?

'Catch Yourself' closes out the EP.. More breaks and arpeggios but this time with an acid lead from the TB-03, grungy bass and warm gated synths underneath. Sample spotters you aren’t scoring any points here, the “I know that sample” vocal here come from Felicia Douglass (a frequent collaborator of BAILE’s who is in The Dirty Projectors and Ava Luna) and makes double the point that this EP is one of those ones that even on first listen you already know it. ‘Back 2 Earth’ has been on the SNF schedule for a minute so big up BAILE & Nuage for the patience but what that extra private time has meant, is that we can say with certainty that this EP keeps sounding better & better & better..

Felipe Gordon is back on Shall Not Fade with his new album Tezeta and f*ck is it special.

Felipe Gordon is SNF label mainstay... (we released his triple repressed debut album "A Landscape Onomatopeya" in 2022 as well as 7 x 12" EPs on SNF over the years plus an extra 12" on Lost Palms)... so given his consistent and exceptional output on our record label you'd probably forgive some complacency with this write up, you might even afford us license to assume we're preaching to the choir and allow us to rest easy knowing that at this stage Felipe Gordon's records sell themselves.... Well none of those things are happening here because when an artist makes a record this complete, this good, you have to try to find the words. You use words like "timeless", "complete and "special". Words that can carry the weight. Because when you've listened to an album dozens of times, and not once, in any part, on any listen in any way has it fatigued you, you need to say. When a record felt so wonderfully familiar from the first listen and just kept on giving you the same feels ever since, you need to say. When a record makes you think about you how you feel about certain Air & St Germain albums (even when you know what it means to put that in a press release), you need to say. So here we are, saying these things.. Tezeta is a special record, one that exists in the rarefied air. A proper album. A record that every time you press play you will immediately remember why you own it and why you love it. A record that your subconscious will know so well that if shuffle is on you will know in an instant. An album that when it's in your collection and the first track starts you get a twinge of annoyance because you didn't listen again sooner and when the final track stops you stop too.

Given paint and a canvas we can most of us paint a picture, but only those that are gifted can paint something that makes us feel. Tezeta makes you feel. Feel familiarity when it's playing, yearning when its not, and absence when it ends. This alone would be enough to make the argument as to why this album is special and justify the gushing opening paragraph of this press release. But we're not done yet.

We don't really have a word in english for what Felipe Gordon has created with this album and how it makes you feel. "Tezeta" that word.

Tezeta is a one of four musical modes within the traditional Ethiopian modal music system known as Qiñit. Mulatu Astatke, the father of Ethio-jazz, frequently uses this mode, often translating it as "nostalgia" or "longing". Gordon says Mulatu's own tezeta recordings convey to him "feelings of melancholy and longing from a point of affection". This is exactly the feeling Gordon has captured. It is what he has woven through every recording on this album. Tezeta is the prime ingredient. It's the base note in recipe, it's sprinkled over the signature jazz-sampled house tracks. It powers the vast array of synthesizers Gordon deploys. It underpins the explorations into trip-hop. It's present in Gordon's varied vocal deliveries and it tunes his guitar. It's in the running order. It's the flow. Tezeta is tezeta in electronic music form, with 4/4, breakbeats, samples and synths.

Gordon says a big part of what differentiates this album from from his previous albums is that is was recorded in a period where he allowed himself to create music without the constraints of time or self-pressure which coincided with a moment of heavy personal growth which allowed him to reflect deeply on his work.

There is a word in Portuguese "Saudade" that Gordon says has a similar meaning to Tezeta - Saudade is defined as a deep, sometimes bittersweet, longing or nostalgia for someone or something that is absent or lost. But here at SNF we think that in Tezeta nothing has been lost. Quite the opposite. Through Felipe Gordon's artistic explorations we have all gained something very special indeed.

Kyoto-based Stones Taro is a producer and DJ who has established a unique standing within the global dance music scene. After operating the NC4K label since 2017, he embarks on a new challenge by launching his own self-release series.

French beatmaker Farres returns with Get Out Of This House, a four-track EP navigating the space between driving house and tech house, with subtle electro tendencies woven through it. Rather than chasing trends, the EP leans into subtle tension and rolling energy, building patiently and with intent, reflecting a sound that feels refined, deliberate, and increasingly distinctive. Built through patience, consistency, and a clear sense of direction, this EP marks a significant step for Farres — and we’re glad to welcome him to Partisan.

Somewhere between the after-hours haze and the first flicker of sunrise, Nebraska re-emerges - this time with a twist in the signal. Long respected for his deep-cut sensibilities and dancefloor intuition, Ali Gibbs returns to Delusions Of Grandeur not just as Nebraska, but with a handover to his new alias: Dubl Drat. The Alter Alter Ego EP plays like a transmission from both sides of his creative psyche - one rooted in warm, groove-led house and disco mutations, the other drifting deeper into dubbed-out, heady abstraction.

The A-side opens with Alter Alter Ego in its Nebraska OG Mix form - a crunchy, funked-up mid-tempo burner. Chopped Rhodes solos flicker in and out of the mix while a rolling bassline locks into a low-slung groove - equal parts party-starter and late-night dancefloor hypnosis. Next, The Teckel Track slides the tempo down into a proper slo-mo four-on-the-floor bumpy groove. Fat stabs punch through layers of glitchy FX while a melodic bassline snakes underneath, forming a hazy, infectious earworm tailor-made for those early-night mood-setting sessions. Closing the A-side, Olive (Dubl Drat Dub) signals a shift. Here, Gibbs leans fully into his Dubl Drat persona, dissolving structure into a blissed-out dub excursion.

Chopped breaks scatter across the stereo field, chiming melodies echo into the distance, and granulated percussion parts build a dense, immersive landscape - one to get lost in rather than dance through. Flipping over we have Alter Alter Ego (Dubl Drat Remix) which reconfigures the title track into a stripped-back boogie workout. The groove is leaner but no less potent, driven by a killer bassline and punctuated with signature Rhodes licks - pure, understated club pressure. Finally, Olive (Nebraska Version) offers a gentle comedown. This alternate take softens the edges, introducing additional guitar textures that drift into Balearic territory. It’s nostalgic, introspective, and quietly expansive - a closing chapter that lingers long after the last note fades. Danou P Serves Up Deep, Funky Heat with his 'In The Brine EP' on Definitive Recordings.

Rotterdam-based producer and DJ Danou P delivers a standout four-tracker with 'In The Brine EP,' released on Definitive Recordings. Known for his warm, soulful and funk-infused take on house music, Danou channels raw rhythm and musical flair into a collection that feels both classic and freshly personal.

Opening track 'The Flex' sets the tone with stomping deep house drums, playful chord stabs, and clever vocal sample play that gives it a raw, jacking feel. It's got attitude and groove in equal measure. 'On My Own' keeps things rolling with a classic deep house bassline, gradually introducing a soulful vocal loop that blossoms with the arrival of shimmering synth layers. Danou brings emotion without ever losing grip of the dancefloor.

Running Hot welcomes Bliss Inc. for RHR05 with the Monday EP, four cuts of warm, groove-led house music built for intimate spaces and long nights.

The EP arrives during a busy year for Bliss Inc., following a recent release on Punctuality and the start of a new residency at Tokonoma in Frankfurt, where he’s been regularly playing the Holo and Sakuru floors. Those smaller rooms have had a clear influence on the EP, with subtle shifts, detailed percussion and hypnotic grooves given room to unfold.

Across the four tracks, rolling low-end sits alongside understated melodies and intricate percussion. The EP draws from the deeper end of house and minimal without ever sounding overly referential, and feels just as at home in a low-lit warm-up as it does deep into the night.

MCRV020 – Byeffect EP marks Overt's return to MixCult Records with four refined Deep Tech House productions that showcase his versatility through four distinct moods, each crafted with dancefloor functionality and musical sophistication in mind. Deep In Dis Intl. returns with its first physical release of 2026, welcoming Frankfurt-based multifaceted artist Ba.Dido AKA Ido Toledano for his label debut. Rooted in the timeless spirit of early Chicago Acid House, Get Loose EP delivers four cuts packed with percussive grooves, seductive vocals and infectious sequences.

The label’s seventh vinyl outing stays true to its ethos: releasing only what feels right to dance to—and Get Loose EP is no exception. Completing the package is a standout remix from rising Berlin House Music producer DJ Split. A timeless blend of acid, house, and club energy, crafted for DJs and dancers alike.

Ste Roberts delivers his debut vinyl EP for the label — four seriously solid cuts of twisted, underground tech house.

The title track “The Washing Machine” is a driving peak-time workout built around Ste's trademark analogue synths, drum machines, rolling sub bass, sharp drums, bleeps and plenty of weird little twists and turns. It's already had plenty of road testing through Ste's DJ sets, including Houghton and fabric, and it does exactly what you want it to do on a dancefloor.

The A2 “Wong Kei” keeps things rolling with another slick and twisted piece of Ste's production. Clever sound manipulation and a seriously infectious groove make this another one that's going to work hard for Djs.

Over on the flip, Evasive boss Rob Pearson gets stuck into B1 “The Washing Machine”, remixing it into his trademark peak time tech, rolling sub-bass territory and adding a few extra mangled instructions for your increasingly misbehaving washer.

B2 “Shoplifting Like That, Yeah” brings Ste’s trademark electro/breakbeat sound into the mix, with tripped-out vocals, wobbling bass and a groove that’s already been causing a real stir in his live sets. Ste has been using it to open his shows, and it’s easy to hear why — a twisted, energetic way to get things moving.

How enduring is the signature song from Harry Chapin’s Verities & Balderdash? So timeless that it became the subject of a 2025 documentary in which artists from multiple generations weigh in on its impact on their lives and craft. “Cat’s in the Cradle” doubtlessly remains the main event on the singer-songwriter’s 1974 album. The legendary opening track also serves as a guidepost for the bold personal and social material that follows — as well as the gorgeous folk-rock arrangements that underpin the New York native’s most commercially successful work.

Sourced from the original master tapes, pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing, housed in a Stoughton jacket complete with a four-page insert, and strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies, Mobile Fidelity’s 180g 33RPM LP of Verities & Balderdash presents Chapin’s fourth full-length in audiophile quality for the first time on vinyl. Captured during a golden era for sonics and production, the Top 5 effort features remarkable tonal balance, instrumental separation, and organic naturalism. Those valued aspects come into supreme focus on this reissue, which plays with dead-quiet surfaces and a low noise floor.

The newfound clarity, openness, and imaging underscore the lasting appeal of Chapin’s tender deliveries, soulful timbre, and careful phrasing. Every word comes across with incredible realism, while his underrated guitar playing occupies its own distinctive space. Also notable: The extension of the tasteful string accents; airiness of the backing vocals; depth and shape of the spare bass lines; and width and depth of the soundstaging. When on “Six String Orchestra” Chapin calls out names of instruments, they appear like magic, the band performing feet from you. Chapin has never sounded so lifelike on record.

Certified double platinum, Verities & Balderdash resonated with the times and public. “Cat’s in the Cradle” reached No. 1 on the chart on its way to being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The romantic ballad “I Wanna Learn a Love Song” flirted with the Top 40 and wrapped listeners in the equivalent of a cozy blanket. The record’s other single, the mini-epic “What Made America Famous?,” helped establish Chapin as one of the country’s most incisive and insightful commentators.

Verities & Balderdash teems with situational devices and topical matters. Chapin observes everything from the polarization of the nation to changes in moral standards and cultural priorities. He investigates pressing themes without ever turning preachy or elevating himself above the matters at hand. On “Halfway to Heaven,” whose coda races to the finish and ranks as the most urgent moment on the record, Chapin inhabits the mind of his frustrated protagonist akin to an eagle-eyed novelist.

Conveying emotions that range from melancholic to carefree, Chapin is as much of a singer as a storyteller. He assumes the voice of multiple characters within a single narrative. During the quirky “30,000 Pounds of Bananas,” a tale based on a delivery-truck accident in 1965, Chapin alters his delivery, pronunciation, and diction to become an old man reflecting on the mishap and mess. The tempo, too, adjusts to match the speed of the vehicle Chapin describes.

Adorned with timely laugh tracks to reinforce the bittersweet humor, the stripped-down “Six String Orchestra” takes everything up another notch, with Chapin intentionally missing guitar notes or playing a broken passage to illustrate the failures of the hopeful protagonist who doesn’t have what’s required to make it as an artist.

Chapin, of course, did not have any such problem. The lynchpin of a career cut short by a tragic traffic incident, Verities & Balderdash is Exhibit A of the savvy craft, feeling, and perspective he lent to American music.

Curated By Time digs into the early 2000s once again with 'Skipton Bassett 2001', unearthing four previously unreleased tracks from Affie Yusuf under his Lilac Road Productions alias.

Recorded in early 2000s, the EP captures the raw, stripped-back sound of UK tech house at the time: rolling basslines, tight percussion, trippy details and hypnotic grooves. Four cuts pulled straight from the archives and finally making their way onto wax more than two decades later.

A portage is the stretch you carry across – the overland pass between two waters, where you shoulder the boat and the paddles and keep moving even after the current runs out. It isn't a break in the journey; it's part of it. TAMIZDAT's fifth release takes that as its shape: four artists carrying a single, measured groove from one shore to the next. Rooted in deep house, techno and minimal, Portage isn't built for the peak – it's an unhurried, warm, buoyant passage that stays light on its feet.

Genning is no stranger to this water — a MixCult regular since his 2018 debut, and his Sunlight EP was TAMIZDAT's second release. He returns from the heart of the family that shaped the label's dub-leaning sound.

Dot (Dotan Bibi) crosses over from Tel Aviv — an Israeli producer with roots in Detroit house. His Intergalactic Ride EP already landed on MixCult in 2024, and he returns here working out of his analogue home studio.

Overt has been a prominent MixCult voice since 2021, known for an ethereal, galactic juno sound that drifts easily into dub chords — records like his Simple Astral 12" mark him as one of the label's steadiest hands.

zekeN, the Romanian producer and one half of zekeniaN, brings more than fifteen years in electronic music: deep, energetic grooves, dreamy pads and percussive basslines that lean minimal rather than strictly rominimal. His zekeniaN project has surfaced on MixCult before; here he steps out on his own.

Drop Music marks a marvellous quarter of a century of releases with this new slab of vinyl featuring some gems from disco funksters Crazy P and the house mainstays Inland Knights. Crazy P go first with 'Disc Odyssey' which is perfectly indicative of their much beloved sound with its low slung kicks and funky bassline. Inland Knights then offer a trio of in demand & unreleased tracks. 'Overnight' is a bumming deep house joint, 'Walk On' has an icy late night vibe and balmy pads and 'Do It Again is a more playful closer, with some killer b-line action. All four, needless to say, are timeless gems, and the fact the last two are appearing on vinyl first the first time makes it an even more desirable cop.

Seb Zito breaks a brief hiatus with a release on Kepler’s Perspective imprint, unveiling a refined new sound rooted in the golden era of UK tech house. Rolling basslines, tripped-out sonics and relentless looping grooves channel the raw energy of the genre’s formative years, reworked with a distinctly modern edge and serious dancefloor impact.

Built firmly for the after-hours, this four-track EP explores the deeper and more hypnotic corners of Zito’s sound, showcasing the depth and versatility of the original FUSE resident’s ever-evolving palette.

By 2005, Drugsex Recordings had firmly established its own identity within the Tech House scene, providing a platform for deeper, sounds for the heads and also could further push the peak-time cuts for the era. For the label's fourth release, founder Rob Pearson teamed up with Chris Pascoe. Pascoe’s distinctive style had already earned him recognition through a string of acclaimed underground releases and Rob & Chris kept meeting through the underground party scene so friendship and collaboration were a natural step.

The collaboration resulted in One More Time, a beautifully balanced meeting of two production styles. Combining Pearson's trademark rolling grooves with Pascoe's musicality and deep, understated funk, the track perfectly captures the stripped-back sound that defined the best of mid-2000s UK Tech House.

On the flip, Rob Pearson takes centre stage with the solo production Shadow Maker. Deep, hypnotic and effortlessly understated, the track showcases the signature South London sound that became synonymous with both Evasive and Drugsex Recordings—tight percussion, warm analogue textures and an irresistible groove built for long nights on discerning dancefloors.

Sub Culture returns with a highly anticipated repress. Following Gregory Shiff, the second release is dedicated to Davor Stosic, aka Dav. Dav needs no introduction. Over the years, the Croatian artist has helped define the sound of tech-house, skillfully exploring the many shades of house music, moving from deeper tech tracks to productions with clear progressive influences.The EP features four solid tracks originally released between 2003 and 2005, instant classics destined to stand the test of time.

Carly Simon’s No. 1 smash “You’re So Vain” lingers as one of the most clever and famous songs ever recorded. Opening strong with the rainforest-infused rhythmic house of ‘Mint’, the EP then turns to the hypnotic percussion of its title track ‘Sometime’. Half pinball table, half neural reactor, wired directly into a wall of aging synthesizers. The so-called Transient Witness (aka Preconscious Data Quantum Buffer) records not what people did - but what they almost did: Every flash of hesitation, every thought that vanished before becoming real, every dream erased at sunrise.

At its center pulses a synthetic brain, decoding impulses too brief for language. These signal transients are micro-events that appear and disappear in milliseconds.

When activated, the table will not play sound. It remembers it. Each collision of steel ball and sensor triggers forgotten futures, lost timelines, phantom rhythms from decisions never taken. Basslines from parallel selves. Melodies from unrealized lives. Percussion patterns from collapsing probabilities.

The 13 original tracks featured on this release are a transmission recovered from one of its sessions. Electro pulses, synaptic breaks, machine funk, and signals from thoughts that never survived long enough to exist.

A decade has now passed since French-Algerian collective Acid Arab (a studio and live outfit helmed by producers Guido Minisky and Hervo Calvalho) wowed the world with their debut album Musique De France. Since, they've delivered two more albums, both of which take different approaches to fusing electronic beats and instrumentation with North African and Middle Eastern sounds and vocals. Resonance, their fourth full-length, sees them return to the raw, analogue-rich and bass-heavy club sounds that marked out their formative years at the turn of the 2010s - all heady Arabic vocals, traditional instrumentation, moody grooves, twisted acid lines and knowing nods to everything from acid house, new beat and EDM to industrial funk, dark new-wave throbbers, and the mid-tempo psychedelic pulse of new beat.

Veinyl returns with Decant Vol 1, the fourth release and the label's first Various Artists compilation. Rooted in the label’s philosophy of connecting sound, atmosphere, and the social ritual surrounding a good bottle of wine, this record unites producers from the deeper edges of house and tech-house. Much like wine, which brings people together and reveals different notes with every sip, Veinyl seeks to curate music that encourages listeners to savour the moment and discover new layers with each play.

Diego Krause opens the bottle with “Currents,” setting the tone with controlled momentum. Punchy kick and bass sync with swinging hats and airy pads as crystalline synths gradually expand in colour, culminating in sparse, darker echoes and an understated atmosphere in its final moments. Lescano’s “Illusion” uses a stripped-back tech-house palette of resonant dubby chords, vocal echoes, and funky bass stabs, all thrown into motion, ready for the dancefloor. On the flip, NVNDO & Until6’s “Donkey Long” brings a playful shift: bongo-driven percussion, rubbery grooves, and 90s-tinted house basslines and synthwork give it a hint of Balearic flavour without losing club weight. Skotsch closes with “Blood,” a dark, jacking tune where acidic basslines, razor-sharp drum programming, and teasing vocal fragments close the V.A. out with punch and style.

With Decant Vol. I, Veinyl distils its approach into four tracks that move between minimal house atmosphere and tech-house mechanics without losing focus on groove. It’s a compilation that highlights the label’s ear for subtle detail and functional design, pointing toward a catalogue shaped less by trends than by carefully curated underground talent and special dancefloor moments.
