The album is made up of two sessions recorded for BBC Radio 1 at Maida Vale Studios, from 1973 and 1978 that feature vocalist Norma Winstone, trumpeter Henry Lowther, saxophonists Art Themen, Tony Coe and Alan Wakeman, trombonist David Horler, bassists Dave Green and Jeff Clyne, and drummers Trevor Tomkins and John Marshall. The material, all composed by Garrick, includes some favourites from the classic LPs 'Troppo' and 'October Woman'. He wouldn't record the tracks "River Running" and "Galilee" until decades later, so this is the first time these '70s arrangements have been released. Whereas "Robin's Rest" and the title track are exclusive to this album - providing a fascinating insight into this uniquely talented artist.

Garrick was at the forefront of British jazz from the mid-1960s until his death in 2011 aged 78. He was a key member of The Don Rendell / Ian Carr Quintet, composing the jazz gems "Dusk Fire and "Black Marigolds" and released a series of seminal 1960s and 1970s LPs including 'Cold Mountain', 'The Heart is a Lotus' and 'Black Marigolds'. Remastered by Caspar Sutton-Jones @ Gearbox Records, 'Late Autumn Sunshine' is available as a 2LP set housed in a gatefold sleeve (a limited edition of 600 copies) and 'mini-LP' gatefold CD, with sleeve notes by Daniel Spicer (Jazzwise, The Wire). 'Late Autumn Sunshine' celebrates Michael Garrick's memory and should introduce him to many new fans.

FIFTEENTH ANNIVERSARY CD REISSUE, INCLUDING THIRTEEN BONUS TRACKS / RED VINYL LP. The legendary Abscess hailed from Oakland California & started life in 1994 with their very own brand of Sickodelia. Chris Reifert & Danny Coralles began Abscess after their infamous gore metal band Autopsy disbanded in the mid 90's (before resurrecting in 2009). Chris started his career with the highly influential extreme metal band, Death. The line-up was completed by Clint Bower (Guitar/vocals), with Joe Trevisano joining on bass for the band's later releases. In October 2009, Abscess descended upon the famous Fantasy Studios, CA, to record the follow- up to their 2007 Tyrant Syndicate album, 'Horrorhammer', with engineer Adam Munoz. 'Dawn Of Inhumanity' was released in 2010, leading the listener on an unrivalled nightmare of raw experimental extremity, whilst also including special guest vocal appearances by the Nocturno Culto & Fenriz of Darkthrone. 'Dawn of Inhumanity' was to be the swansong release from Abscess, leaving a legacy of twisted, dirty punk/ death without limits !

Highlighted by Kathy's own exquisite compositions like 'Fly off with the Wind' and 'For Emile', it also includes her unique interpretations of songs by Jimmie Spheeris and Jackson Browne. This is the first official reissue - 180g vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.

Her superlative voice is supported by a team of heavyweight studio musicians, among them Jan Hammer, Warren Bernhardt, Tony Levin, Jerry Jemmott, Don Alias and Jeremy Steig. Remastered from the original analogue tapes, this edition includes two exceptional previously unreleased bonus tracks - 'For Emile' (demo version), and 'Hang On To A Dream'. Smith emerged from the same Orange County, Californian milieu as Tim Buckley and Jackson Browne. Championed by singer- songwriter- guitarist Richie Havens, Kathy recorded two hauntingly beautiful albums, 'Some Songs I've Saved' and 'Kathy Smith 2', for his Stormy Forest label, and then quietly disappeared from the scene. The Tedeschi Trucks Band is an 11-piece ensemble made up of guitarist-vocalist Susan Tedeschi's and guitarist Derek Trucks' band,
known for their unique mix of rock, blues, gospel, soul, and Americana. Their 2011 debut album won them the 2012 Grammy Award
for Best Blues Album and since then have released four more studio albums and three live albums, of which this is their first.

zake has written a new album to get 2025 underway in his usual prolific fashion, and it comes as both a triple CD set with the same tracks in different versions, but also as this special vinyl release with five different pieces from his Caelum series, limited to just 200 copies. As you would expect from this most masterful ambient leader, this is another immersive work that blends shifting synthscapes with melancholic chord work, beautiful keys with more lingering feelings of sadness. It features 11 tracks and was supported by the lead single "Revenge". 17 is X's second solo commercial project, succeeding the compilation mixtape Revenge, also released in 2017. It includes a guest appearance from Trippie Redd and uncredited vocals by Shiloh Dynasty, as well as production from X himself, Nick Mira, Taz Taylor, Dex Duncan, Natra Average, Dub tha Prodigy, and Potsu. The album experiments with a variety of genres, such as emo, indie rock, and lo-fi. The album charted at #2 on the US Billboard 200 & won Favorite Soul/R&B album award at the American Music Awards.

Tatsächlich ist eine dieser Kollaborationen, die Fair in den 90er Jahren gemacht hat - Strange But True mit Yo La Tengo - schwer zu finden, obwohl sie am 20. Oktober 1998 in den USA bei Matador Records erschienen ist. Jetzt wird das Album zum ersten Mal von Joyful Noise und Bar/None auf Vinyl neu aufgelegt. Napi Hedz come from the Motor City and is a group made up of Reggie Dokes, Maurice Herd (aka Pirahnahead) and the late Mike's brother, Craig Huckaby. They dropped this EP on the peerless Sound Signature 20 years ago but amid a glut of reissues from Theo Parrish's label, it now resurfaces. Titular opener 'I See Heaven' has a Latin shuffle with woody percussion and time-keeping ticks under swirling vocal loops that are backed with muted horns. It's s sunny sound before 'The Bah' comes alive with a mirage of melodic harp shimmers and rooted, dusty drums with more affected vocal sounds adding the soul.

A sweeping, genre- defying suite in twelve parts, 'Divinities' draws deeply on Anderson's lifelong love of classical music, world traditions & pastoral folk. Conceived as a continuous orchestral journey, the album weaves influences from Celtic airs & Middle Eastern motifs to Indian ragas & Baroque counterpoint, all anchored by Anderson's unmistakable flute.

The result is one of his most ambitious & evocative projects - a spiritual, cinematic exploration of faith, nature & the divine. Now 'Divinities: Twelve Dances With God' returns to vinyl in a stunning half- speed remastered edition, expertly mastered by Grammy-winning engineer John Webber at London's AIR Studios using audio sourced from the original tapes. Pressed on black vinyl & housed in a faithful reproduction of the original artwork, this new edition stands as the most detailed & dynamic presentation of the album to date. Slinging back on the electric guitar, ditching the job, upping the BPMs, and falling in love again has resulted in Pete embracing his fuzzed up dream- pop past but also throwing in elements of pop and electronica.

The first fruits of this new-found labour is a brand new single "LOVE'S COMING BACK" which sums up the ethos for his new project all squeezed into 136 amp-frying seconds. Pete first burst onto the scene in the early 90s as the frontman and guitarist of postshoegaze / pre- Britpop band Adorable, whose 1993 album Against Perfection, released on Creation Records, is regularly referred to as a lost indie classic, with the band picking up multiple 'Single of the Week' awards in the NME, and topping the Indie charts. Noel Gallagher once told Creation Records' Alan McGhee that dropping Adorable from the label was one of his biggest mistakes, whilst other artists such as Ash, Slowdive and Brian Jonestown Massacre amongst others have all expressed their admiration for the band. Following this he joined up with his brother Krzys to form One Little Indian band Polak (Swansongs 2000 / Rubbernecking 2002) which took in influences from the likes of Sparklehorse, Radiohead and dEUS, and led The Independent to call him "the most gifted lyricist since Jarvis Cocker last put pen to paper".

There then followed a musical exile, after having what Pete now describes as 'a musical breakdown' before re-emerging alongside celebrated House of Love guitarist Terry Bickers to release two critically acclaimed albums as Pete Fij / Terry Bickers on 2014's Broken Heart Surgery, and 2017's We Are Millionaires, winning the Roundtable 'Single of The Week' on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6Music show - "Beautiful" (MOJO) "Unfailingly lovely" (UNCUT) "Stunning" (OHM) "Beautifully constructed" (Q). Adorable then reformed for a few weeks in 2019 for a series of one off dates that sold out in record time, playing bigger venues than they did in their heyday - and then broke up again.

FONTINE, who identifies as Indigenous and queer, brings humour, honesty, and a deep sense of place to her writing. From personal struggle to activist fire, her lyrics are grounded and bold, wrapped in a sound that blurs the lines between alt-rock, Americana, and indie folk. With over a million streams, national CBC radio support, and a growing live presence across Canada, FONTINE is emerging as one of the most vital new voices in Canadian roots music. Drawing from her constant searching for her own unique sound she filters her love of rhythm and groove through her Nordic sensibility to create an accessible, compelling blend of excitement and introspection. Growing up on the island of Saaremaa in her native Estonia, Britta Virves was a keen piano student playing a strictly classical repertoire. A chance encounter introduced her to jazz: "I wanted to learn guitar. So I went to my teacher Tit Paulus, and he told me to stay with piano, and introduced me to Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans - my mind was blown - a new world opened up." Britta immersed herself in the music and her talent soon attracted attention.

Moving to Sweden to further her studies, she was soon touring Europe with the acclaimed Norrbotten Big Band, under the direction of Joakim Milder, working closely with featured guest vocalist Genevieve Artadi and accompanying Artadi on a duo tour opening for Louis Cole. Each tune on the album draws inspiration from an aspect of Britta's own life. "Simple Things" has the directness of a pop song married to the depth of jazz, as Genevieve Artadi's ethereal vocals float over an insistent backbeat that supports limpid depths of harmony.Other tracks include "Bravery", whoch showcases the subtlety and dynamic control of the rhythm team and is one of Britta's favorite tracks on the album - "I feel it's like a big waterfall that's rushing down and making its path just by flowing naturally." By contrast, "Chances" plays with a neatly delivered set of accents that tie the roots effortlessly

Project Pat, the older brother of Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J, is a legend in the Memphis rap scene. He began rapping in the 90s with Killa Klan Kaze and released several independent mixtapes. In 1999 he released his debut album Ghetty Green via Hypnotize Minds/Loud Records. In December of 2000, he released a new single and video “Chickenhead” which blew up on the charts and led to the release of his second album Mista Don’t Play: Everythangs Working. Mista Don’t Play produced by Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul and Juicy J was certified Gold a mere two months after its release.

In 2009 Jim Hart first came together with Michael Janisch and Dave Smith to create Cloudmakers Trio. Since then their powerfully original vision has grown and sustained an international touring career, keeping them at the forefront of contemporary instrumental music in an exciting, horizon-spanning space where jazz, European improvisation, rock and global beats co-exist in an ever-shifting skyscape of creativity. Through all their various collaborations, the vibes-bass-drums trio has remained the core of the Cloudmakers sound. Now, fifteen years after their inception, the concept has come full circle with the inclusion of a new collaborator, the Grammy-winning Argentinian piano master Leo Genovese, already a veteran of the bands of Esperanza Spalding, Jack DeJohnette, and Wayne Shorter. The quartet went into the fabled Abbey Road Studio 3 to record with legendary engineer Sam Okel.

Bristol via NYC's DJ Nature makes house and beatdown so raw, dusty and dishevelled it feels like it's been put together in an old shed with rudimentary hand tools and might just collapse at any moment. But it is also brilliantly soulful and real, with synths infusing each loose arrangement with real heat and the drum patterns connecting deeply. Across four cuts here, he layers up those signature low ends with different motifs - funkier drums and watery melodies on 'Shattering Myths,', r&b vocal swirls on 'One' and unusual synth incantations on 'Medusa Weed', while 'Eternal Winter' is a subtle celebration with gentle charm. Another superb EP from a unique producer.
