SURVIVING THE DREAM ist FIDLARs vierte Studio-LP und die erste neue Musik seit über fünf Jahren. In East LA selbst produziert und aufgenommen, bedeutet SURVIVING THE DREAM für das südkalifornische Garage-Punk-Trio eine Rückkehr zu den DIY-Wurzeln. Eine Reaktion auf die kinetische Energie, die bei ihren jüngsten Livegigs in die Räume gepresst wurde, mit rasenden, bis zum Anschlag aufgedrehten Sounds. Eine Abrechnung mit dem Altern und der Entwicklung. Es ist dieser brennende Geist, der die 13 neuen Songs antreibt: die Ausschweifungen, die Angstgefühle, die sorglosen Ansichten und die Fragen der Zugehörigkeit, die nicht an das Alter gebunden sind und nie waren. Fucked up, rücksichtslos, lebenslustig und wild – die Platte ist sowohl eine Reminiszenz an FIDLARs Anfänge als auch ein Beweis dafür, was aus ihnen geworden ist.

Pressed to limited edition other-worldly Zoetrope picture disc, Shui is the new album from Sydney based punk rock five-piece, Fangz, out via Impressed Recordings.

Since their 2019 inception, the band have released three EP’s For Nothing (2019), But No Thanks (2020), Falling Is Pretty Normal (2022), and a slew of singles, which received strong support from the likes of triple j, triple j Unearthed, Triple M, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Metal Hammer (UK), Loudwire (USA), Classic Rock (UK), Metal Injection (USA), Louder Sound (UK), NME, Pilerats, The Guardian, MANIACS and many more.

They’ve traversed the country multiple times selling out headline shows, performing at festivals and sharing stages with the likes of FIDLAR (USA), Pennywise (USA), The Bronx (USA), Cancer Bats (CAN), RedHook, Comeback Kid (CAN) and He Is Legend (USA).
The group have also completed an East Coast in 24 hours, launched their very own line of hot sauce Fang us Some Sauce, an annually curated festival ‘FANGZstock’, and hold the Guinness world record for the most hard-boiled eggs eaten in one sitting by front man Josh Cottreau (143 eggs in three minutes and ten seconds).

Coming into 2025, the quintet have released singles ‘Wasting Time’, ‘Nothing To Lose’, ‘Same Old Story’ and ‘Wide Awake’ from their forthcoming debut album ‘Shui’ (due July 2025), plus have taken FANGZstock on the road, launching the Melbourne and Brisbane contingents.

The band says, We rerecorded our debut EP Grow Up to look back on our progress as musicians and revisit some very nostalgic songs after 5 years of VIAL. It’s like a little love letter to our younger selves. When we first recorded Grow Up, we had very limited resources during the recording process and didn’t even use our own cables. We feel very lucky we’re able to revisit this EP now that we have access to the funds, skills, and equipment we’d always wanted to allocate towards these eight songs. VIAL is a powerhouse trio, red-hot in DIY scenes after breaking out during unconventional times in 2020.

Their sound is a pressure cooker: Indie rock meets punk in soaring melodic hooks ready to sink teeth into all listeners alike. Bite marks burn hotter on the live stage, where they’ve supported acts such as FIDLAR, HUNNY, and Mal Blum. The jury’s in: The insatiable hunger for VIAL’s fresh genre blend will be plentifully satisfied with a steaming-hot sophomore record in 2024.

Mozes And The Firstborn liefern waghalsigen Garagen Pop, catchy Surfmomente, kratzige Gitarrenriffs, Ahh's und Ohh's gewürzt mit reichlich Selbstironie. Im Frühling als Support von Two Gallants, The Growlers und FIDLAR auf Vorstellungsrunde, erscheint am 20. September das Debüt Album in Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz bei Siluh Records. Im Herbst 2013 folgen Auftritte u.a. beim Reeperbahn Festival, dem Waves Vienna und der Berlin Independent Night. Das verschmitzte Grinsen haben die vier Jungs nicht umsonst aufgesetzt. Nach unzähligen Shows auf House Partys, in Coffee Shops und Spelunken haben sich Mozes And The Firstborn auf die großen Bühnen der Niederlande gespielt und rumpeln bisweilen selbst in nachmittäglichen TV-Formaten. Auf Europas wichtigstem Newcomer Festival Eurosonic gewannen sie schließlich auch die Schweißporen der internationalen Gäste für sich. Launig, waghalsig und mit viel Übermut präsentieren sich die vom Garagen-Punk-Rock der 70ies infizierten Jungspunde vor Publikum. Nun erscheint ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz auf dem Wiener Label Siluh Records, das zuletzt mit Releases von Sex Jams und Mile Me Deaf ein Händchen für rotzige Gitarrenmusik bewiesen hat. Mit lausbübischem Humor, dem Draufgängertum der jungen Rolling Stones, der verpeilten Lockerheit der Black Lips sowie dem erstklassigen Songwriting von Indie-Heroen wie Guided By Voices überzeugten sie auch das kalifornische Label Burger Records, das bereits zum internationalen Sprungbrett für Szenegrößen wie Ty Seagull, Black Lips oder King Tuff wurde.

band that uses their platform to be outspoken
advocates for myriad social justice issues,
especially when it comes to racial equality,
LGBTQA+ rights and inclusion for all.

The punk trio have been redefining West Coast
punk and have been embraced by TikTok to the
tune of 20 thousand user-made videos and over
3.5 million views.

In addition to having racked up over 60 million
streams, their music can be heard in 2020's Tony
Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 game and upcoming
campaigns for Fender and Starz' Hightown.

The band can currently be seen on Sad Summer
Festival, where they will be sharing the stage with
All Time Low, The Story So Far, The Maine,
Movements and Grayscale.
