This is the third release by Trevor Dunn (Mr Bungle, Fantomas, Trio Convulsant, various with John Zorn) and Kevin Rutmanis (Tomahawk, Melvins, Cows, Hepa/Titus) On this outing Trevor joins Lords and Lady Kevin (duo of Kevin Rutmanis and drummer/artist Gina Skwoz) for a full length LP "Last Days at Hot Slit"

Songs are loosely based on assorted gospel, blues and jazz songs, some original, some covers. Included is a re-working of Mingus "Devil Woman". The trio based the pieces on improvisations that were then arranged and used to build free standing songs. A multitude of instruments were exploited by all those involved, to create a sizzling blend of aural delicacies. The album title is from a collection by writer Andrea Dworkin, often sited as the Celine of feminism. Less outre perhaps than their previous recordings, these songs hover somewhere between soundtrack- like excursions, to jazz/ blues mutations to a demented "rock" sounding affair. Something for everybody, or perhaps, nobody! Uniting former and current members of Tomahawk, Last Days At Hot Slit marks a powerful reunion between Rutmanis and Dunn. The record took shape gradually, born from Rutmanis's raw, unconventional bass recordings. "I sent Trevor a phone recording of some hideous bass racket and asked if he wanted to add anything," Rutmanis shares. "What he sent back was something like delicious fresh cherries with ice and banana slices." The pair's combined creativity gave rise to a new, immersive soundscape, while their collaborative piece, Crackpot Whorehead, set the tone for the current formation of Lords and Lady Kevin."

It s been 7 years since I introduced the first part of this series -Mis Hermanos Rumanos- with Sepp and later (Part 2) with Faster and Nu Zau. Seven years later the saga of Romanian brothers grows and continues, it is a pleasure to be able to bring together two good friends and talented artists from the great and already proliferating minimal scene of this country. In this third part we can find a darker and percussive sound, acoustic string instruments and at the same time maintaining the minimalist essence that characterizes Acmé. For over 15 years, Zu’s modus operandi of straddling and abusing musical genres has resulted in over fifteen unique album releases across labels such as Ipecac, Atavistic and Headz (Japan). Their experimental amalgam of metal, math, no-wave, noise and electronics, led acclaimed composer John Zorn to describe their sound as “a powerful and expressive music that totally blows away what most bands do these days”.

In the running for the title of “the world’s hardest working band,” Zu have performed over 1000 shows throughout Europe, US, Canada, Asia, Russia, Mexico and even Africa, touring with the like of Mike Patton (as the Zu/Patton quartet), also sharing the stage with Faith No More, Fantômas, The Melvins, Lightning Bolt, Sonic Youth, The Ex, and countless others. Dälek, “the subversive indie hip-hop outfit” (Pitchfork), release their eighth album, ‘Precipice’, via Ipecac Recordings.

 Forged in the fires of the East Coast underground music
scene of the late ‘90s, experimental hip-hop pioneers
Dälek have spent the past two decades carving out a
unique niche fusing hardcore hip-hop, noise and a
radical approach to sound. Their brutal sonic
temperament pushes rap music’s capacity for noise and
protest to exhilarating conclusion.

 Following in the footsteps of Public Enemy while drawing
influences from My Bloody Valentine and Faust, Dälek
have succeeded in adding completely new textural and
structural dimensions to rap music.

 Predominantly the work of Brooks and Manteca (aka
Mike Mare), ‘Precipice’ was recorded and mixed by the
two band members at their Deadverse Studios in Dälek’s
hometown of Union City, N.J.

 Tool’s Adam Jones guests (guitar / synth) on ‘A Heretic’s
Inheritance’. The band have supported Tool on tour
previously.

 The album’s cover was created by Paul Romano
(Mastodon, Withered) with interior packaging featuring
the art of Afrofuturist painter, Mikel Elam.

 The band have toured with and supported a wide range
of acts in the hip-hop, rock, metal and experimental
genres, including KRS One, Tomahawk, The Melvins,
Grandmaster Flash, Jesu, Dillinger Escape Plan,
Pharcyde, RJD2, De La Soul, Flying Lotus, The Bug,
Mastodon and Fantomas, among many others.

Mr. Bungle, etc.) and John Stanier (Helmet /
Battles), return with their first full-length album in
eight years, the highly anticipated ‘Tonic Immobility’.
“‘Tonic Immobility’ could just be something in the air
we’re feeling,” says Denison. “It’s been a rough year
between the pandemic and everything else. A lot of
people feel somewhat powerless and stuck as
they’re not able to make a move without second
guessing themselves or worrying about the
outcomes. For as much as the record possibly
reflects that, it’s also an escape from the realities of
the world. We’re not wallowing in negativity or
getting political. For me, rock has always been an
alternate reality to everything else. I feel like this is
yet another example.”
‘Tonic Immobility’ is the fifth studio album and
Tomahawk are one of the biggest Mike Patton
projects outside of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle
(whose recent album is still charting around the
world)

Star Composer of the 1960s (Les Tontons Flingueurs, Fantômas, Angélique marquise des anges), Michel Magne was caught in 1974 in the bankruptcy of his recording studio in Hérouville. He then launches to the lyricist Boris Bergman: “Nothing works, let’s make a great religious record!”

The result will be a mystical-psychedelic bombshell, where Magne amalgamates Jewish, Arad and African music with pop rhythms. A year after their collaboration on Roger Vadim’s Don Juan 73, Bergman offers him texts that function like a modern tale, carried by the abrasive voice of New York bluesman Artie Kaplan, creator of the smashing Bensonhorst Blues. Released in indifference in late 74, Moshe Mouse Crucifixion is resurrected today, remastered up close. Its modernity is more contemporary than ever. “All the current


mergers, from north to south, east to west, already seem to be present” confirms Boris Bergman. Moshe Mouse Crucifixion is more than an album, it’s the missing link in French pop.
