This is another big moment for us, and if you have read the story on how the Psychology EP came to be, you will know that we spent a long time trying to track Dimension with the Fozbee & Cooz brothers.

This is my era of music, these are the tunes that I was raving to once I first got my driving license in 90/91. Its a style of music that has influenced pretty much my whole musical career. I find it fascinating that this music was basically by hip hop heads who only a year or two before would of discovered rave. A truly unique musical style and culture that could of only come out of the UK.

Check the soundfiles below and take yourself back to an illegal rave in a secret woodland in Wiltshire in 1991 where ravers, b-boys, hippies and new age travellers all partied together.

Well, this release is like the icing on the cake for me. This is the first release I tried to sign to Vinyl Fanatiks once I knew we were creating a record label in early 2019. The problem being though - we couldn't locate Dimension! But now we have and I can finally bring to you my favourite rave release from back in the day!

Hypnotic Mindscapes returns with its sixth release, introducing Lisbon-based artist Jorge—by way of NYC—through a tightly constructed, high-fidelity four-track EP. Progressive-tinged tech-house meets crisp vocoders and understated oscillations in an acoustic inspired techno format, designed for peak-hour precision. 7SINS SERIES is a collection of seven EPs, each associated with one of the seven deadly sins. Curated by Pau Pérez, the series is released on the SpecialK Records label, driven by Carlos Caballer, and brings together seven producers, each responsible for shaping a distinct release.

LUTTONY is the first EP in the 7SINS SERIES. This release is driven by a clear mission: constant, no-compromise groove. TALKSHOW is Haexler's 3rd EP and clearly marks an evident deep dive into the environment of purist Powerviolence. While the Hardcore influences were overtly visible on their previous releases, Haexler now turn their heads towards fully submerging in a primitively harsh tone that flirts with lo-fi soundscapes and noisey elements. On TALKSHOW, Haexler return with their concise and accurate deconstruction of political frameworks, frontally addressing the scope of formations of the liberal democracy, following the foundation of Agnoli's classic "Die Transformation der Demokratie." REVNOIR is one of the most exciting new forces to emerge in the rock and metal world. Seguim Records returns with its fourth release, SEGUIM004, presenting “Execute EP” by rising Argentinian talent Guile.

Track 2 “Sonics and Steel Drums” think sun sea and beach as this one brings up the tempo induced with a groovy bass line and heavily played steel pans that immediately uplifts the vibes which progress into a Caribbean crescendo!!
Head to side b, where Trini brings it back to Native African roots to loose yourself on the dance floor with it’s layered percussion, deep stabs & chords, captivating keys. Along with enchanting and soothing African vocals of serenity that will surely keep you mesmerised !

JNJS are Jay Nortown and Jacobo Saavedra, Ibiza residents and a dynamic duo who have made moves on the likes of Dias De Campo, Nothing But and UVAR. This time out they land on the influential Politics Of Dancing with three crisp, twisted takes on tech house. 'Between Us Two' is an easy to latch onto groove with fleshy bass and lithe chords darting about up top. 'Infection' has a swirling and rapping lead that brings more off-balance movement and 'Go Back' shuts down with some psychedelic leads smudged and smeared across the sky as the fulsome drums work down low. A Terence :Terry: remix brings bigger drums and more swag to this effective EP.

Two foundational releases from Toronto's Strobe Records get a well-deserved reissue on the Clone Classic Cuts series, spotlighting a pivotal moment in North American dance music. While often overshadowed by the Detroit and New York scenes, Toronto's underground in the early '90s was brewing its own potent blend of house and techno - and these tracks are prime examples of that cross-border synergy.

The Hayden Andre Project's contributions sit at the perfect intersection of tribal house rhythms and the emotive, machine-driven pulse of early Detroit techno. There's a raw elegance here - a sense of deep groove layered with just the right amount of percussive tension. It's no surprise that these tracks became staples in the crates of DJs both then and now. The production feels timeless, with hypnotic arrangements that still command the floor over three decades later.

On the flip, Kingdom Come, another alias of Ron Allen, delivers lush, blissed-out house music that channels the soulful energy of New York's golden era while adding a uniquely Canadian sensibility. Allen's piano work, layered with warm pads and swinging drums, gives these tracks an unmistakable vibe - equal parts deep house ecstasy and garage swagger. It's the sound of 3 a.m. euphoria, of packed dance floors and emotional peaks.

After the promo version flew off the sleeves, now comes the full picture sleeve, yellow vinyl version of French live trio, Oden & Fatzo’s chart topping, house smash hit, ‘Lauren’ limited to 1000 copies. A bootleg experiment that got out of hand, Oden & Fatzo’s Radio 1 A-listed single is the accidental hit that everyone is talking about.

So how do you go about making an ‘accidental hit’, by accident of course... The track came about when French DJ Fatzo tried to demonstrate the difference between an edit and a remix to his dad, “... I took a song from the band Men I Trust, sped it up and added a drum beat and violin. After playing it to Oden, they loved it, and in turn, added their secret ingredients.”

Unlike the name might suggest, Oden & Fatzo consists of three people: The Parisian underground collective are a powerful fusion of the electronic live duo Oden, and house DJ Fatzo. Back in 2020 a bootleg version of ‘Lauren’ was uploaded to the YouTube channel of the electronic label Novaj, kicking off an unforeseeable wave of enthusiasm. That video is now approaching 3 million views. Enthralled listeners begged for a commercial release, a year later Ministry of Sound/B1 cleared the sample and the track started its march across the airwaves and up the charts.

With its captivating beat and nostalgic catchiness, ‘Lauren’ makes up for the party nights lost to the pandemic lockdowns, and sees people dancing in their homes and on the streets, as concerts, parties, and live sets are finally making a return. As the trio put it: “This song was all about hope, freedom and a party atmosphere at a time when you couldn't go anywhere. We think it gave everyone who heard it a little bit of an escape, including us.”

Meanwhile in the UK, the track has seen early support, not only by names like Franky Wah, Danny Howard, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Jax Jones, Jodie Harsh, HUGEL, Bakermat, Cut Snake, Salomé Le Chat, Piem, David Gausa and many more, but also by the incredibly ecstatic party crowds.

Berlin-based producer Red Rooms launches his new imprint ROT with a debut EP called Endurance that captures the full spectrum of his techno vision. From hypnotic minimalism to peak-time drive and closing-time euphoria, ROT001 delivers versatile tools for every moment of the night.
The record opens with Znakva, a mesmerizing ambient piece that sets the tone with atmospheric depth and introspection. Septima, Not Gonna Last Forever, and Disturbance bring the raw energy: pounding low-end pressure, whipping hi-hats, trippy synth lines, and gritty textures designed to ignite the floor. Closing the EP, Endurance lifts the mood with an emotive, uplifting finale -balancing intensity with a sense of release.

Woven with textured sound design and warped synthwork, The Universe presents a detailed and deliberate journey shaped by contrast and progression across its 32 minutes. Mikro Records returns from its interstellar travels with a new discovery, a release long waiting to be found. This time the team brings back a standout EP from talented Mexican producer Louie Fresco, delivering four impeccable minimal techhouse bangers. Each track is packed with energy, precision and that unmistakable Fresco touch, driving grooves, sick production and a sound built for late nights and peak time moments. Having transitioned between London, Lisbon and back again as a DJ and producer, as well as across the world as the drummer in beloved pop group, Metronomy, Anna Prior remains an essential and independent force in alternative and electronic music culture. The current epicentre of this creativity is undoubtedly Prior’s own label, Beat Palace. Established in 2021, it has showcased the talent and diversity of FLINTA producers carving an esoteric space within alt-pop and electronic music.

Returning to the imprint for the first time since its inception, Anna Prior utilises this vital platform to refine her own craft across the five-track ‘Firefly’ EP, exploring new moods and styles, balancing playfulness with vulnerability, shadow and light. Prior describes ‘Firefly’ as, “a collection of moments - some fleeting and some stubbornly lingering.... Each track came together almost by accident, but now feels to me like they've always belonged together.”

Lead single ‘True For You’ pulsates with soft euphoria, as Prior weaves softly cascading synths with her own earnest declarations, composing a sensual, sophisticated drama about “letting other people's differing truths sit alongside your own” that nonetheless carries a distinct club energy. In contrast, title track ‘Firefly’, written alongside co-producer Matt Karmil, unfolds as a spoken-word piece, investigating memory, “the tricky mirror that reveals more than it conceals”. Throughout, Prior’s inquisitive, native Yorkshire accent anchors a wide-eyed soundscape that gradually, impressively escalates into the cinematic.

Centerpiece track ‘Silence’ turns this approach inside out, escalating the tempo and revealing a DnB-influenced shade of Prior’s work that is certain to surprise and impress, scattering elegant syllables amongst serious soundsystem pressure as Prior navigates the feeling of being ghosted; by friends, lovers and even her own work. ‘No More Drama’ returns to pop, presenting a bold cover of Mary J. Blige’s classic that inverts the original’s unmatched intensity for a more serene, but no less affecting rendition.

Finally, ‘Beside You’ delivers one last, sublime blend of Prior’s songwriting and sequencing instincts, a simple pop incantation that coaxes dancers into a soft trance while concluding with a reminder from Prior that “amid life’s unanswered calls and fleeting highs, there is always space to feel safe and unjudged.” Concluding this sublime EP, Prior finds new ground to settle into her talents.
