'Sometimes life can kick you in the nads,' says Dominick Martin (aka Calibre). 'When life does do that, I need to make music like this. With its tones of hope and gospel-level layers of self-recorded vocals. Raw, uplifting, soulfull... Even to the most ardent of Calibre follower, ' Grow' sounds like nothing else he's done before. Yet it's not actually on the album it gave a name to. Partly because its ultimately positive veneer (even though it was written in the midst of two toxic relationships - one personal, one with the bottle) doesn't quite complement the deeper, more contemplative aesthetic of the album. But also because this is the start of a whole new story for Calibre...

'A part of Dominick is a poet and a part of him is a man who's lived through Northern Ireland at its worst,' observes Craig Richards . 'There's a gentleness and a tension to him and his past and his experiences. Somewhere in that middle ground is his music.'

20 Dolla Julio keeps his identity a mystery but there are no secrets about what music gets him going. He's a master of classic hip-hop joints mixed, blended, diced, cut and stitched together into electric new grooves that bear all the hallmarks of the original but with ester club clout. First up is 'Still', a Weast Coast classic that has the same bleeping melodies and trademark bars but with a tight, bumping broken beat down low. 'Overnight Celeb' then marries pitched-up vocal intensity with smoother bars, bright harmonica and plenty of classic swing. Two top-tier weapons.

Sweep returns with its second release, bringing together Jigit co-head O.Bee and Unreleased boss Cem G. ‘Makes Me Feel’ is the first music to see the light from a long-standing friendship and collaboration shaped between their two homes, New York and Istanbul, and comes backed with a stirring remix from Giegling’s Edward.

O.Bee and Cem G bring forward a sound rooted in Istanbul’s music culture, developed through ReSolute’s warehouse parties on the outskirts of Brooklyn and refined at Berlin’s Club der Visionaere. It’s music that feels equally at home in all three settings. Dyed Soundorom’s Sweep is built around underground sounds with depth and groove — much like his own DJ sets — and this second release sits naturally within that world.

On side A, the original mix of ‘Makes Me Feel’ rolls out with a sturdy groove from the start. O.Bee and Cem G build the energy carefully, peppering the ethereal atmosphere with a repeated vocal clip as the tension grows. A variety of percussive layers and pads add depth, keeping you locked in. Halfway through, the vocal goes into full flow — scattered words bounce around like a jumbled poem, evolving into a call and response of dissipating voices on top of the rolling bass, fully hypnotizing. Underground music par excellence.

The flip features a rework from one of Giegling’s central figures, Edward, who adds a tougher edge to the original. Still operating in the deeper end of the spectrum, the remix plucks out the ‘Make me feel’ part of the vocal and uses it throughout. Dark, brooding and enchanting, Edward’s reinterpretation progressively adds more layers, increasing the dynamism while bringing further nuance to the atmosphere. A real treat for Edward fans…

For decades, dancers, collectors, and fellow selectors have asked Beppe Loda the same question: "Where do you find these records?” The answer remains classified. What we do know is that few figures in dance music have spent as much time digging, discovering, and championing forgotten sounds as the Italian maestro. Long before algorithms, reissue campaigns, and online marketplaces made obscurity accessible, Beppe was uncovering hidden treasures and introducing them to adventurous dance floors. His influence stretches from the legendary Typhoon club to the present day, inspiring generations of DJs, collectors, and cosmic music devotees along the way. Italian Spaghetti Disco Freak Vol. 5 offers four more clues. Drawn from Beppe's vast archive and lovingly retooled for modern-day disco freaks, these edits are a reminder that the best dance floors are built on surprise. Strange records become anthems, forgotten melodies become obsessions, and once again Beppe proves that nobody keeps dancers guessing quite like he does. By now, the evidence is overwhelming. Lello Di Franco aka L.D.F. leans fully into his curatorial instincts here, and the result is less a traditional “producer ep” and more a cohesive, late-night DJ narrative. World Beats Vol. 2 doesn’t try to grab you instantly it unfolds, patiently, like a deep set in a small, packed club where the focus is on groove rather than spectacle. The collaborations are the real backbone: Byron the Aquarius injects looseness and jazz DNA his touch is immediately recognizable in the swung rhythms and slightly off-grid keys. These moments feel alive, almost jam-session-like. Tilman brings polish and restraint. His contributions tend to be more hypnotic, smoothing transitions and keeping the flow meditative. Trinidadian Deep adds emotional weight his Afro-deep sensibility introduces warmth and a sense of space that elevates the project beyond pure club functionality. Fire Drums II close the ep, an electronic/percussive track with a tribal and hypnotic feel. It combines intense drum rhythms with dance and worldbeat sounds, creating an energetic and ritualistic atmosphere. World Beats Vol. 2 is a refined, deeply musical project aimed at listeners who value texture, groove, and atmosphere over instant hooks. It’s less about standout singles and more about immersion.

K' Alexi Shelby is a prominent figure in electronic music with a career spanning decades. The cultivation of his massive music catalogue has overflowed into albums and the three labels he heads. It's also led to legendary collaborations with artists like The Pet Shop Boys, Robert Owens, Kenny Dixon, Roy Davis Jr., Joe Smooth, Steve Silke Hurley, Tyree Cooper, Ron Trent, Glenn Underground, Larry Heard, DJ Pierre, Carl Craig, Felix da Housecat, Marshall Jefferson and more. He makes a welcome return to COD3 QR with the jazzy house of opening track, "House Music de Chicago".

Voltaire has built his career through passion and a perfectionist approach to music, creating a richly emotional eclecticism, with inspiration from the pioneers of Detroit to the glorious electro decades of the 2000s and 2010s. Today he's a COD3 QR regular and released his debut album, "Echoes" on the label last year. He leans into the realms of house with a deep techy edge, for new track "Some House".

Finder is the alias of Radial (Jeroen Liebregts), originally from The Netherlands but today residing in Spain. He started mixing records around '98 and in 2002 teamed up with Bas Mooy to started the now legendary label, Audio Assault. He's also released on Token, Perc Trax, Mote-Evolver, Numb, Drumcode, Planet Rhythm, Mord, Will & Ink and MDR, alongside his label, Radial Records. As Finder he goes in a new direction with "Team Dream".

Benny Rodrigues a.k.a. ROD's other moniker, The Lost Souldancer has already seen him drop "No More Voices" and "Life and Death" for the label. In his own words, Benny says: "The Lost Souldancer is about coping with the loss of what once was. Finding comfort in the invisible rather than what can be seen. Disconnect to connect in order to be loved rather than liked." He returns with another emotional journey on "Magnolia".

Producer and manager of Slates Records, Squal G is a French artist who has been passionate about electronic music since the '90s. Initially a DJ, he soon turned to machines and computers. This enabled him to progress with his production and remixes. He never tries to stick to a single style, which, depending on his inspiration, can lead him to be more or less hard, while remaining in the spirit of techno. A popular COD3 QR regular, he's back with the intense techno of "Crackle".

French producer, DJ and live artist, Electric Rescue is world renowned. His productions have been signed on labels like Cocoon, Virgo, Arts, F Communications, COD3 QR, Soma, Sci + Tec, Boys Noize and his own Skrypto¨m. Ahead of his forthcoming artist album (to be released on COD3 QR in October) he closes the vinyl with the electro-tech and wonderfully wonky machine funk of "Internet Was an Illusion".

Ketiov, AKA Voitek Taranczuk, drops the ‘I’m Okay’ EP on Rekids 17th July 2026, following his ‘10 Hours Extravaganza’ EP with Edvvin on sublabel REK’D last year. Opening track ‘La Dopamina’ sees Taranczuk, also known as one half of renowned touring duo Catz 'n Dogz, team up with Equatoguinean Spanish DJ, vocalist, producer, and visual artist Megane Mercury. This is a remixes album of DJ Funny and Bojvck's album, *Horse To Horse*. Two Korean artists remixed two tracks from the album respectively; the track "Different W/M" was handled by deung, an ambiguous and mysterious artist collective, and features excellent experimental electronic sounds. The B-side was handled by L-like, one of Korea's most talented producers and DJs, and is impressive for its witty percussion and effects. It is a remixes album where you can experience a fresh vibe, as the remixes were performed by artists who play music different from the original tracks.

Phonica unveil the first in a series of three 12" samplers featuring a selection of tracks from their new compilation 'Ten Years Of Phonica'.

Tigersushi and Crowdspacer boss Joakim kicks off the first 12" with melancholic masterpiece 'EAHR'. A prolific and sonically diverse producer, his balearic-flavoured remixes over the years for the likes of Antena and Max Berlin shines through on this one. Up next is the enigmatic Panoram, a shop favourite since his brilliant 'Accents' 12" arrived back in 2012. The lysergic 'Alpha Marmara' hits all the right spots once again.

On the b-side edit-masters and rare record connaisseurs Psychemagik contribute the string-laden 'Triumph Of The Gods', an ambitious Axelrod-esque modern funk gem. Finally, Alex Egan resurrects his work as The Draughtsman one last time with the previously unreleased track 'Fade To Green' - a deep, atmospheric house/techno cut recorded during the same 2010/11 sessions as his '1694 EP'.

Phonica Records was established in September 2003 and set up shop in Soho, London, adding to the high concentration of independent records stores that inhabited the area. Founders; Simon Rigg, Heidi Vanden Amstel and Tom Relleen joined The Vinyl Factory with the aim of creating an exciting outlet for innovative dance music, traversing all sub-genres and cultures. Over the past decade the emporium has developed into a well-respected destination for DJs and enthusiasts, and has subsequently become a bustling hive of conversation and inspiration as part of a wider community of music lovers.

While trends and movements in music have grown and faded over these years, Phonica has always remained in a state of evolution. Emotional Response presents the first of 2 EPs by Laura Sparrow aka LNS, the Calgary raised, Berlin based producer and DJ with 8 acid-tinged cuts that are equally expansive and inspiring, personal and inventive.

After her debut Malinge Range (cassette) on fellow native Canadian 1080p label in 2016, LNS moved to Berlin and has released a steady stream of 12”s, exploring ambient, dub, electro and techno. Initially appearing on Vancouver émigré’s Jayda G’s (alongside Fett Burger) Freakout Cult label before settling at DJ Sotofett’s cult WANIA label and more recently on the legendary and ‘original’ German techno label, Tresor.

A love of the Roland TR-303, alongside deep diving into breakbeat creation, manipulation, mutation and production, plus some intrepid mixing and post-production assistance, development and support with DJ Sofofett, have led to a collection of some of her favourite music to date.

LNS-ID 1 and LNS ID 2 are the result. Recorded during a burst of creativity through dedication, new studio equipment and learning techniques, as well the necessity of artistic expression in the moment.

Istanbul-based producers Grup Ses and Gökalp K present their collaborative album on SOUK Records, showcasing a distinctive fusion of musical styles such as hip hop, grime, dubstep, and jungle. Two years in the making, their self-titled album features contributions from Cologne-based multi- instrumentalist Elektro Hafız, Marseille-based DJ Syr from Scratch Bandits Duo and Ethnique Punch, a Turkish MC & producer now based in Bremen.

Grup Ses project began in 2007, initially focusing on edits and breakcore mash-ups. By 2008, it evolved into a beatmaking project incorporating elements of humor and local materials such as records, tapes, and radio broadcasts, which have become the signature Grup Ses sound. Gökalp K, the alias of composer and sound designer Gökalp Kanatsız, has been releasing music since 2011. Under this name, he has released two albums and performed as a DJ. Alongside his beat production, he also composes electro-acoustic music and collaborates with creative studios as a sound artist on various interdisciplinary projects.

Tipped by many as a true DJ’s DJ, London’s Isaac Carter has a sound that sits between heritage and reinterpretation. Drawing from the iconic hubs of Chicago and Detroit, his productions reframe classic influences with a contemporary UK perspective, prioritising groove, swing, and a stripped, functional edge.

At the heart of his work, Carter has developed his Ochi imprint, where his deeper material has circulated within a select circle of DJs, with love from names such as Ben UFO, Raresh, and Joy Orbison. A controlled outlet for ideas shaped specifically for club use, that approach also carries over into his sets, playing at the likes of DC10, Glastonbury, and Love International.

Fresh from his appearance for the London favourites at FUSE’s annual Open Air showcase, Enzo Siragusa now welcomes him to the label for the first time as he brings a collection of cuts that journey into varying corners of the house sphere.

The ‘Disconnected’ EP brings five tracks built around direct function and contrast. ‘Disconnected’ opens with rolling low-end pressure and slinking drums, loaded with swing, setting a clear rhythmic foundation for the project. ‘Bad Girl’ shifts into a more playful space, led by vocal fragments, hazy chords and dubby tones. On the B-side, ‘What We Do’ leans into crisp repetition sitting beneath shifting, trippy movement, followed by ‘Loopy’, which strips things back into a reduced late-night percussive trip.

Chontane returns to Mutual Rytm with a more raw and aggressive sound than before across six powerful new tracks on his latest EP, 'Permanent'.

Berlin-based Ukrainian DJ/producer Chontane has had a busy twelve months. Capped off by recently launching his own new TANE label, the exciting talent has been working hard to reinvent and refresh his sound in the studio. Mastering new techniques to push things to the next level, this EP and return to SHDW & Obscure Shape's Mutual Rytm proves he has succeeded and then some. Where previous works on the likes of ARTS and Rekids were full and more melodic, here he has restricted himself and gone for a more visceral sound. Developed and built in all new ways with an innovative approach to sound design and arrangement, the tracks on the package showcase a more serious and harder-hitting side to his sound as he unveils his impactful 'Permanent' EP.

Opener 'Graze' has a monstrous feel to it, with ghoulish synth loops and industrial textures all coming on strong and heavy. As it bangs along, incendiary hi-hats and lithe pads all bring extra weight and detail. 'Cumaru' is a highpaced techno workout with a frenzy of synths and percussion, all making for dense layers of heavily textured sound. 'Schima' brings some big techno bounce in the drums and more hurried, rusty synth loops that lock you into the darkness. Showing yet another side, 'Lauan' is a little more paired back with pounding tribal grooves and bright synths, bringing relentless yet funk-fuelled intensity. 'Vevis' is the most melodic of the lot - a heavy track but with subtle optimism in the rising background synths that will surely get hands in the air.

Last of all is digital bonus 'Makore', a cauldron of intensity with scraping hits and relentless drums, vastly oversized hi-hats and slamming bass. This high-impact, beautifully brutal yet groove-heavy techno takes Chontane's sound into new realms, and delivers an impressive return on a label continuing to push the genre forward.

Maltese talent Human Safari debuts on Mutual Rytm with jazz-influenced techno EP, 'Culture Shock'.

Human Safari is a key player in his native scene in Malta. He's a resident at Glitch Festival, has played cult spots, and has a dynamic sound that brings jazz improvisation to techno, often featuring live instrumental elements. His music has found its place on top labels like R&S Records, and most of this new EP for SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint was produced during his Colombian summer tour last year - written and recorded amongst inspiring and unusual settings with just a laptop and headphones.

Opener 'Mouse on Keys' has been a key cut for the label boss across the past year, a unique track that peaks curiosity from dancers to DJs whenever it's played. Its cantering techno rhythm is overlaid with delicate, heartfelt piano keys straight from a smoky jazz bar, making for a great counter to the physical drums. 'Fragments' is a deeply personal track dedicated to the artist's late grandfather. It's a funky, soulful techno roller with blissed-out and sunny chords full of hope.

Next, 'Classique' gets more gritty with loopy drums and bass and glitchy percussion that fizzes with energy, while 'The Labyrinth' features piano motifs recorded in just one take. It brings a dark paranoia in the uneasy, off-grid keys which dart about with nervous energy over the booming low ends. There is just as much intensity and edge to the unresolved keys that loop over the raw drums on 'A Rainy Day in Bogota', before digital bonus cuts 'Dorian' and 'Phantom' bring more jazzed out techno madness with warped keys and expressive elements bringing great invention.

It’s only been a few months since we celebrated the 100th release on Heist with our ‘House of House’ compilation; a 19-track embodiment of everything we love about house music where label heads Dam Swindle teamed up with Detroit legend DJ Minx on their track ‘Back to the old school’. Now, landing just in time for summer, the Amsterdam duo deliver a new EP filled with dancefloor energy across 5 original cuts and vocals courtesy of British-Bengali rapper Surya Sen.

The title track ‘Call me’ is a stabby and string-heavy peak time jam, where chopped female vocals and offbeat cowbells deliver a simply irresistible groove. ‘5 to 9’ features the vocals of London rapper Surya Sen whose deep voice add an instant vibe to Dam Swindle’s deep and Detroit’esque production. This track sits somewhere between gritty dark rooms and sweaty dancefloors.
Definitely not the stuff for your 9 to 5, but with plenty of funk for your after-work pleasures. The track comes in 2 versions; the vocal mix and a longer club-dub with some cleverly chopped vocals that comes in handy for the DJ sets.

The B1 is saved for ‘I like it’. A track full of old school Swindle swing, Rhodes chords, a dash of electronics and soulful vocals chops for good measure. The EP closer is ‘A house track’; a song dedicated to the old school New York house sound and an affirmation that great house music doesn’t have to be complicated. It just needs to groove.

Freerange welcomes Italian via Berlin producer/DJ/label boss Enzo Elia for his debut on the label entitled The Lost Guitar Tapes. Enzo is someone who has been releasing consistently great music for many years, although
often hidden behind a myriad of pseudonyms and underground imprints. For starters he's responsible for a mysterious yet established and very excellent edits label as well as being a member of Balearic Gabba Sound System alongside Bjorn Torske amongst others. Following the philosophy of this collective, Enzo is also producing lovingly and respectfully created re-edits of long lost techno and house tracks as well as many new tunes
for influential labels including Golf Channel and Compost.
But for now we turn to The Lost Guitar Tapes and specifically the original mix of Drifting which opens up the release with a brilliant tension builder. A rolling bassline, crisp minimal drums and a subtly Middle Eastern-influenced melodic line give just a hint of mysticism to this jewel of a track.
For the remix we have none other than the Tel Aviv via Berlin producer Moscoman, fresh from his brilliant debut LP on ESP Institute and releases on Eskimo and his own Disco Halal label. Moscoman's organic, percussion- heavy sound and Middle Eastern roots make him the perfect choice to take
on Drifting and we couldn't have wished for a better outcome. He manages to inject his own identity to the track with newly recorded live guitar and bass parts and taking in elements of techno, new wave and house, he's created a sublime piece of dancefloor drama. Finally we have an alternate Dub version which lays down a firmer four on the floor, extra percussion and dubby stabs for a more driving atmospheric club tool.

CEPX002 is around the corner and marks the second chapter of the X Series on CEP Records. With this release we welcome vinyl head Eubo from Glasgow to the label. From the first track he sent us it was clear that this is the direction we want to push. A strong old-school influence, shaped by vinyl culture and the energy of the early two thousands. The connection felt natural from the start.

A1 'Iron' is probably the most intense track on the record. A rolling bassline, sharp and slippy drums, and a lead that lays over the track with deep mids. It brings a short moment of calm, while the drive stays constant. A2 'Aluminium' stands out with its clear high hats and a modular synth that recalls sweaty and dark mornings. The sound has a slightly hypnotic and metallic touch. On the B side, 'Steel' moves through the interplay of its synths. The kick and bass stay steady and driving. A timeless track that can underline the peak moments in a DJ set. Closing the release is 'Lead'. It brings a funky bass together with serious, almost contrasting synth stabs.
