Annie Hall's new LP Random Paraphilia on Detund™ explores these experiences through five original tracks with remixes by Richard Devine, Valance Drakes and ERP.

Setting the stage for this intense journey into experimental electronics is Annie Hall's track DSM-5 which when spliced and diced in the remix by rhythmic mutilation master Valance Drakes establishes an ache deep inside mind and body. Together they offer a bold introductory to Random Paraphilia. Annie's collaboration with Shadow Huntaz in Bandit 28930 adds a male vocal and sets the stage for release of the pent-up pressure, through a remix by none other than Richard Devine, who emerges after months incommunicado from his new Atlanta based studio with Bandit 28930 Remix -- a remix for which many around the world have been anxiously awaiting. Prepare yourself for new Richard Devine frequencies creating what we believe to be the most blissfully disturbed / re-aligned symphonic nerve rhythms of aural affect. Annie takes the reigns back pumping a frenetic, raw, experimental sound in Sada Abe. Tables are next given to Convextion aka E.R.P. who captures her snare for a mesmerizing effect in his gorgeous idm electro soul Sada Abe remix. Annie's voice and rhythm machines respond with breakbeat-style in Foihtreiu diversifying the set with what only a graceful feminine touch can produce. Rounding the set out is Symphora featuring new synced visual work by CPU Bryant Place, SF based Obscura digital artist, complementing the mystical journey with a visual experience unlike any other.

Record Sleeve and promo video are by DMAS3 who once again completes the audio-visual package with elegantly futuristic visual art appealing to our desire for journey far and wide. 'Moonshine Heater' is the debut release from Marlowe, a new studio and live project from Laurent Bovey (AKA Laps). The title track is a crisp and melodious piece, the mechanical groove bubbling with dubby FX and heavy synth shots against the hypnotizing melody. On the flip, 'My Minds Mine' comes in a darker shade, paranoid synth sweeps and a brassy analogue riff weaves around a minimal yet funky drum arrangement. Another great groove from Marlowe, and capturing that classic early Cadenza sound perfectly. Wrapping up the release is 'Power Plant', another detailed and precise mood piece, deep and unique, taking it's time to build and take effect. Marlowe does not deal with 'bomb tracks', these are sophisticated tracks for the more discerning music fan. Marlowe AKA Laurent Bovey has amassed an impressive catalogue of work since the mid-2000s, solo and as part of Digitaline. Releases on Cadenza, Smallville and Cityfox have set the standards for minimal electronic music.

Following a hiatus of nearly two years, the latest Furanum offering signals the return of solo work from label owner Dominik Muller and coincides with a pivotal tenth release on the label. The Embodiment of Brute Propulsion most notably features for the first time on vinyl robust reconstructions of two the artist's most seminal compositions. Both previously released on UK's Locked Records, 'Eintrachthutte' (2007) and 'Silesian Boy' (2009) have served as stepping stones for the artist's evolving musical vision and represent a raw reflection of the influential period spent immersed in his industrial homeland of Upper Silesia. Audibly modernized and now endowed with a substantially augmented lower end, the two capably maintain the feel and imagery of the originals; the former the impressions of a visit to an iconic location bearing the same name, and the latter a personal exploration of identity in the context of youth.
Also given the wax treatment for the first time is 'Blank,' a previously unreleased piece that has been a mainstay of Dominik's live performances in various forms since 2011. Defined by a recurring and ineluctable pattern, both intrusive yet irresistible, its orphic narrative is subtly driven forward by a series of menacing drones weave their way around a dense and forceful rhythmical panorama. Lastly, the repertoire is complemented by a vinyl-exclusive personal capture of an industrial press shop in operation. Seemingly bare, inanimate, and inexorably bound to its predeterminate cycle of motion, the mechanized landscape stands as a symbolic archetype of the aesthetic ambitions of the label.
Mastered at Berlin's D&M by CGB, Fu010 will be available on 12" as well as in digital format at all fine music retailers.

on D-Floor. Oldschoolish primetime action flavoured with a tribalistic

Long serving Cadenza recording artist, Mirko Loko, has always worn his Detroit musical influences on his sleeve, counting pioneer Carl Craig as his mentor, and having worked with the likes of Derrick May and Stacey Pullen in the studio.

And on Daybreak, Mirko fully indulges in the one genre that seems never to get tarnished, the mechanical and industrial beats working off the deep and soulful strings and melancholic pads, a true hallmark of the classic sounds of the Motor City. Originally released on Outpost Recordings, the label run by Scottish techno don, Funk D'Void, the masterful Original Mix from Takuya Yamashita gets three new versions from Mirko. Takuya, a techno artist from Kobe, Japan has already sparkled on labels like Biotech and Espai, and in his Original version we have a driving and energetic piece of classic techno. Mirko remains ever faithful to the melody and sounds of the original, providing a full beats re-rub on the 'Mn version', and an alternate 'Taiy version' that's more urgent, with its broken beat. The digital only 'Kanj no' version dispenses of a backbeat entirely, creating a remix that forever teases with it's percussive elements, building up great anticipation throughout. As Cadenza continues to celebrate its 10th year as a label, it takes delight in backing great music from its artists and associates, and this release is another curveball in the label's eclectic catalogue.

London trio Vondelpark have received quite some notable accolades for their debut full-length album Seabed, released earlier this year on R&S Records. The BBC compared their dreamy sound to The xx, describing the song 'California Analog Dream' as 'exemplary electronic pop, tracing dance and RnB patterns but rarely running over them in anything permanent.' Now DJ Koze calls upon Robag Wruhme's magic touch to bring the band's hushed tones out of the bedroom and onto the dancefloor for this new Pampa Records 12. With 'Moppa Habax NB", our beloved Robag takes certain elements of the original-most notably the bittersweet vocals and gentle guitar strumming-and weaves them around a functional house stomp. The dusky feeling is still there, but with an ultraviolet sheen and those quirky flourishes that have become trademarks of both Mr. Wruhme and the Pampa label. Flipping the record over, we hear Robag shift Vondelpark's pop tune further into dubbed-out DJ tool territory with 'Habay Latoff NB", placing it atop a hand-cranked mechanical pulse that's more tech than house. The vocals are reduced to a mere atmospheric aspect, letting Robag's buzzing and clattering do the talking, as the underlying drawn-out melodic phrases breeze past, with plenty of auditory curveballs to make your ears smile. Grab the vinyl version now-R&S won't be offering these remixes digitally until later in the year.

Alex Font is a serious guy who knows that now is his time. A multi-instrumentalist, as well as a producer and DJ, he can sometimes be seen on stage in trademark shirt and bow tie. He declares himself a lover of vinyl and, above all, what he calls real house. I think that says it all.

'NOW IS MY TIME' is the fifth release on the Oblack label and is available in black vinyl and digital. It is undeniable proof that Alex Font has arrived and is now a permanent force on the House scene, mainly in soul and dance, but who also knows how to reinvent his sound using new tech. Always with an eye on the future of sound innovation, he still manages to keep hold of his roots and respect his great influences. Well, nothing less would do. On this EP you can tell that Alex Font (remember, this is one serious guy) knows what he has in his hands and spinning on his turntable. His knowledge of musical composition, harmony and engineering skills jump out at you as soon as the first beat of 'Now is my time' hits the speakers: darkness, sophistication, soul and groove. There's a perfect command of tempo, of where, when and how. You pick up on the instrumental skills which allow him to do what he wants, when he wants. That's what's so great about this: you're struck by the ease of how such perfect technique and astoundingly good taste come together. Digitally analogical (or is it the other way round), this is the deeply profound vs. the dancefloor. It fascinates and liberates, carrying you off through different dimensions before breaking out of itself, with no need for artificial fanfares as it's so perfectly defined by Chicagoan pianos, hi-hats, funkoid vocals, etc. He's simply extraordinary: Alex Font signed by Oblack 005.

The remix by Martinez gives this track a technical edge and club splendor. Leaving out the more classic elements of house that are present in the original, the Swedish producer slows things down so that it doesn't lose any of its elegance, but at the same time the track gains punch on the dancefloor, and there's no doubt that it works. As cool as it is effective at inciting dance and everything else that comes with gyrating your pelvis in the early hours of the morning.

Finally, the Argentinian Shall Ocin plays the scoundrel here by adding diverse electronic elements that take the track into a new dimension. By giving the vocal more prominence, here it takes centre stage, and over a well-layered tech-house base, it makes the tremendous savoir faire of the original literally surf, while at the same time respecting and completing it.

The time has come. The funky nerd and knob-handler Erdbeerschnitzel alias Tim Keiling is releasing his first physical album on Mirau. The young producer, who has moved from his hometown of Mittelfischbach to Bonn, tapped into the lode of versatility early on, and has been extracting one surprise after another ever since. After single-handedly releasing a first digital album that was obviously bursting with ideas ('Pathetik Party', 2009), Erdbeerschnitzel rapidly made himself a name with first-class single releases in the following years on 3rd Strike Records, 4 Lux and Mirau - a name not easily forgotten. The release of the much-celebrated single 'To an End' on Mirau made clear that this was but the beginning of a work together. In the wake of anticipation created by the digital single 'Through the Night', the album 'Tender Leaf' is now available on beautifully packed double vinyl. 'Tender Leaf' is a collection of 12 wonderful tracks, splashing at the edges with Erdbeerschnitzel's signature deep, driving vibe throughout the entire album, pulling us into a pool of swinging, iridescent oomph. Each elaborate audio-bouquet is full of spirit. Sometimes weirdly romantic and introverted, then breaking out into raucous assemblage, flaunting sonar reverb. Keiling's production makes these gems sound like an essence of all the music around us today, which calls out to us in echoing vocal traces. In 'The Mattress Excursions', guest singer 'The Drifter' steers his soulful voice through the escalating arrangement and broken beats as we remember from early Jamie Lidell tracks. Digitalism has done a mix for the legendary K7! DJ Kicks series. And it is not a lie, on the contrary, it is nothing short of the truth to say, this is a dream come true for two young fellows from Germany. Twelve years ago, when they originally met, two record store workers in Hamburg, admiringly selling the DJ Kicks series to their customers adoring not just the event of each release, the dexterity of the mix but most importantly the protagonists behind each release, the artist, the DJ, the mixer. Their favourites over the last two decades are Tiga's ("His mix was a great essence of edgy and cold electro-techno."), Trevor Jackson's Playgroup ("More really playful stuff.") and Erlend Oye ("Cause he sung over a lot of stuff and had some favs like Jürgen Paape, the collab with Morgan Geist and Avenue D (2D2F) on it.").

The new album will be released across a series of 4 limited edition 12" vinyls. This is the 2nd 12 inch From Tronic Jazz The Berlin Sessions. A Guy Called Gerald has spent the last couple of years flitting through shadows, turning up on labels like Perlon, Beatstreet and Sender like a peripatetic prophet of the Berlin underground, seeding the scene with cryptic singles that return to the past to suggest alternate futures. Now he returns to Berlin's Laboratory Instinct label with the follow-up to 2006's Proto Acid: The Berlin Sessions, the album that re-established Gerald as an acid hero and techno auteur. Tronic Jazz: The Berlin Sessions builds upon the foundation established by its predecessor to create an even more powerful statement of intent, one that communicates more persuasively than ever Gerald's vision for techno in its third decade of existence. One immediate difference stands out, this time around. Where Proto Acid offered a seamless mix of 24 cuts, recorded in one epic session, Tronic Jazz collects 13 standalone tracks. That's welcome news to DJs. After so many years of digital anything-goes, you might have forgotten the kind of sounds that are possible with "old" machines: the way a lead stacked against tuned percussion and shrouded in pads can evoke still other sounds, hidden in the mix, or maybe not really there at all. It's a ghostly, suggestive presence, a kind of evocation of infinite possibility within the context of a limited set of inputs. In that sense, Tronic Jazz follows a certain minimalist impulse, but it's far too lush ever to be mistaken for the dread "mnml" of recent years. This stuff is wide-eyed and full of life. When it funks, it funks hard, and when it smoothes out, it can be as intimate as a hand-written note left on a lover's pillow. As "class ic" as Tronic Jazz may be, the album refutes any notion that "class ic" equals "retro," that the ideas have all been expressed before. Tronic Jazz takes the foundations of house and techno as though they were a kind of language, and speaks volumes with them.

After 4 years of putting out various hit releases via Thema, the mother ship, its first sub-label or satellite has come to be. We are proud to announce SPACIAL! It will consist of various remix projects, outtakes and B-sides from the parent and digital labels this new realm will function as a showcase for some of the more esoteric creations from our ever expanding roster of artists.

Hurray! PROFAN is back from the future to complicate things again. But let's have a look back in the past: in the mid-1990s, Wolfgang Voigt, under his innumerable aliases (M:I:5, Digital, Grungerman, Wasserman …), unsettled the minimal world and its straight grooves with his right-at-the-threshold-of-pain abstract techno. As a DJ, you sometimes even thought that the vinyl was scratched. "Distort the listening habits until they break up" has always been the leitmotiv of this exceptional artist from Cologne. In 2000 however, after having created another promising trademark: WASSERMANN - W.I.R. that - in spite of or because of its unconventional structure (abstract beat, German vocals) - ranked among the number one hits in any important club and DJ charts and which was even remixed by Sven Väth, Wolfgang Voigt decided to discontinue the label for a while. PROFAN produced two sublabels each devoted to the refinement of specific minimal variants: STUDIO 1 and FREILAND. FREILAND in particular was and still is one of Voigt's projects that manifests his artistic and deconstrucivist approach to the aesthetics of techno beats. FREILAND's concept is radical: the only reference to techno is the bass drum and a sound reduced to the utmost that is moving around it. No wonder that now, eight years after the last PROFAN release, Wolfgang Voigt is back under his alias FREILAND. With KLAVIERMUSIK (piano music), Voigt continues his way towards atonality and electronic art music. The straight bass drum still is the only pulsatile instrument and sometimes it is not even that. WOLFGANG VOIGT / FREILAND - KLAVIERMUSIK is radical, puristic, uncompromising, elegiac, difficult, defiant, true and absolutely necessary. Huge release for all jumpstyle lovers: the new RUDE RECORDS!!

Spinning Plates is back for another long overdue release, and this time it comes in the form of a split EP featuring returning artist Andy Rantzen and Laccy with two tracks each. The vinyl only release comes with very special screen-printed silkscreen artwork and is pressed on meaty 180g vinyl for an extra warm and deep sound. Andy Rantzen is a Sydney based artist who appeared on this label's superb second release. The '98%' track from it was used by Sonja Moonear in her Cocoon Mix CD shared with Carl Craig, and Andy is also well-known as part of the duo Itch-E and Scratch-E along with Paul Mac. He assumes that alias here for a remix of 'The Dial'. Laccy aka Pascal Sturmer is a young but talented artist who regularly finds himself behind the decks at cult clubs like Berlin's Club de Visionaire and the Spaced parties in London. A friend of label A&R Bruno Schmidt, he just released on Francesco del Garda's label Timeless, is a real underground head with a bottomless well of knowledge when it comes to cult sounds and scenes and is signed to the top Crisalida agency.

We’re extremely proud to present Leaving Time, a new EP by Christoph de Babalon. The EP has all the menace and grit that the Hamburg-born, Berlin-based producer is known for, but packs a potent, dance-ready punch that breaks new ground.

Leaving Time begins with the snarling subs ‘The Upper Hand’, and momentum builds through the panoramic breakbeats of ‘I Trusted You’ and dubwise groove of ‘Steps Into Solitude’ to reach the symphonic release of ‘Got to Let Go’.

This record encapsulates everything we love about Christoph’s music – it’s doom-laden, introspective and crafted with intent.

About Christoph de Babalon:

Christoph de Bablon first became known for his work on Alec Empire’s Digital Hardcore Recordings in the early 1990s and has championed a misanthropic take on drum and bass that has stood the test of time.

A punk-influenced fusion of jungle, breakbeat and dark soundscapes, his signature sound has become the stuff of legend – Thom Yorke once said Christoph’s pioneering debut album 'If You’re Into It, I’m Out Of It’ was the “most menacing record” in his collection.

After a brief hiatus composing music for theatre (we’d like to hear what that sounded like), recent releases on labels such as A Colourful Storm, V I S and AD93 have sparked renewed interest in the German producer, and with much excitement from his loyal following of die-hard supporters.
