Secret Soul Society, aka South Wales's Cal Gibson, continues his red-hot streak of form with four original jams for Hell Yeah that effortlessly weave decades of influences into intimate, unusual sounds that go from Balearic daydreams to after-hours soul burners.

Gibson was one-half of Nottingham's deep house and downtempo outfit Neon Heights back in the 2000s, a collective that label head Marco has long admired. He has landed here before with the superb Keep The Mystique in 2023, a 15-track collection of brand new curveball cuts built from lovingly sourced samples. Since then, he has continued to collide jazz, funk, Afro, beats, dub, soul and reggae on Paper Wave and Magic Wand.

'To Be Happy' opens with gentle, sun-soaked grooves, swirling keys and dreamy pads that evoke a hazy Mediterranean sunset. Nostalgic soul samples tug at the heart while the track’s laid-back vibe is perfect for golden-hour moments. 'Orange Surprise' is a magical slice of downtempo bliss with hints of romantic vocals. It's built on soft broken rhythms and drifts between ambient soul and laid-back electronica, perfect for introspective moments or late-night winding down.

'Keep On Trying' flips the script with more texture. The synths are crystalline, the pads are sugary, and the meandering bassline unfolds in wonky fashion while soft male vocals bring a steamy edge. Dok & Martin return to the brand, this time to DCLTD imprint with their 3-track EP 'Impulse'. Second Circle is very excited to announce ‘In Dream’, the eight-track debut album from Tokyo-born, Berlin-based producer and DJ Courtney Bailey.

Sonically, 'In Dream' unfolds as a rich, lush soundscape, woven together with expansive digital synth pads, Fairlight-esque stabs, and vibrant acid bass lines. At times the EP leans back horizontally to evoke the balearic spirit of Yello ('Burnt Moon'), at other times it leans more upright towards to dancefloor ('In Heaven'), but what remains throughout is a sense of intimacy, gracefully guided by Bailey’s whisper soft spoken vocals and gentle melodic vocal lines.

Building on an initial spark of inspiration that arose when listening to the work of Japanese artist Dream Dolphin aka Noriko Kodera, ‘In Dream' is Bailey’s direct creative response to new feelings, energy and emotions. Time spent in the outdoors, specifically in the natural landscapes of Australia also had a profound influence on the making of the record; opener ‘Kodou’ was directly inspired by a moment in Melbourne watching rainbow-colored parrots in a pink-flowering tree. Similarly, 'Burnt Moon' captures the essence of watching moonlight shimmer on ocean waters. At its core, 'In Dream' embraces a child-like wonder for the beauty of nature, an act which infuses the music with a radiant, luminous sense of positivity.

Capturing the essence of stepping into the unknown and more importantly, doing it with curiosity and optimism, ‘In Dream’ paints a vibrant, multi-colour vision of life, with Bailey inviting us all to immerse ourselves in it’s wonders.

Numbers welcome New York’s Jubilee to the Glasgow based label - Main Character EP features ‘Trippin’’, a collaboration with Jersey club Queen UNIIQU3. One of the most vital voices in American underground dance music for over a decade, Jubilee brings her South Florida rave roots and East Coast sensibilities to the imprint.

Born from the dizzying emotions of love and grief, the EP opens with the cheeky cackle of UNIIQU3 on ‘Trippin’’. Marking their hotly-anticipated first collaborative release, ‘Trippin’’ bridges Jubilee’s Miami bass heritage and UNIIQU3’s Jersey club sound to create a playful lead single featuring tantalizing vocals.

Starting to work on Main Character in 2019, Jubilee revisited the project during an intense period of change and loss. Bringing in further influences from electro, Baltimore club, 90’s dance and techno to create her signature sound, Jubilee channels the fun, drama and chaos that comes hand in hand during challenging times. Daniele Baldelli
Considered one of the first DJs in Italy, Daniele Baldelli began his career in 1969 mixing vinyl at the Tana Club in Cattolica (his hometown),
predating the birth of the modern DJ by several years. In the following years, he solidified his talent and technique at histor such as the Tabù Club, Baia degli Angeli, and Cosmic. From 1979 to 1984, Baldelli created his unique and eclectic style, blendi ic clubs ng seemingly distant sounds and musical styles, complementing them with tempo adjustments (bpm) and deliberately extreme equalization,
creating a truly distinctive sound, known as "Afro Disco." Soundscapes and tribal percussion blend with early electronic music experiments, and Baldelli's sets become truly mystical experiences, where, for the first time, the temples are replaced by the dance floor.
The documentary film "A Cosmic Life" has just been released, starring Daniele Baldelli alongside other illustrious guests from the nightclub scene, recounting the history and formation of this movement from the 1970s to the present.

DJ Daniele Baldelli and producer Gaudi first met three years ago at the Jazz Cafe in London. Mutual respect and an innate need to
create new stylistic fusions were the catalysts for Baldelli and Gaudi, leading to a series of subsequent meetings that inevitably culminated in the need to create music together. The project began at Gaudi's Metatron Studio in London using analog equipment and later
moved to Baldelli's studio in Cattolica, where the two organically defined their sound, also inspired by Baldelli's precious record collection. The duo consolidated a powerful compositional symbiosis, and the project, born from a simple initial groove, later transformed
into an entire EP consisting of four original tracks and a highly innovative sound, featuring fusions of psychedelic-funk, tribal-dub,
electronic-disco, and, of course, "Afro-Cosmic"! Daniele Baldelli and Gaudi began their sonic collaboration without setting any stylistic
direction and with the intention of not creating pre-established goals to achieve; it is a project of pure artistic freedom guided by their
compositional instinct and their experience. Constantly active with their evenings and live concerts, Baldelli and Gaudi have performed
individually in many of the best international clubs and festivals.

'in a fugue state' finds pedal-steel guitar maestro Joe Harvey-Whyte collaborating with tape loop sound scientist Paul Cousins on a warped ambient excursion into the subconscious. Originally written and recorded in one night, the eight tracks of hypnotic electro-acoustic music explore the concept of memory and time.

Powerhouse performer Gretel Hänlyn today releases her highly anticipated second EP Head Of The Love Club, via VLF Records. Premiering as Clara Amfo’s Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1, focus track ‘King Of Nothing’ is a rollicking revenge track, cementing Gretel as one of this year’s most exciting breakout stories.

Gretel Hänlyn has spent the last year stamping her ground as one of female guitar music’s new frontrunners, imbued with a singular vision and wickedly unique voice. Inspired by 90s alternative artists like The Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins and PJ Harvey, Head Of The Love Club is a suitably contemporary stride forward in the hotly tipped artist's sound and marks a definitive departure from the indie-folk textures of her breakthrough debut EP Slugeye. The Chisa Years: 1965-1975 (Rare and Unreleased) is a compilation album by South African jazz trumpeter Hugh Masekela. The album consists of 14 rare or forgotten tracks recorded by Stewart Levine and Hugh Masekela from 1965 to 1975 when they ran their own Chisa Records label.Thom Jurek of Allmusic wrote 'In sum, there isn't a weak moment on this entire collection. It's appeal is wide and deep and one can only hope this is the first of many volumes of this material to appear. BBE Records has done a stellar job in making this slab available.' Dan Nishimoto of the Prefix Magazine stated 'The compilation focuses on Masekela's original idea of 'African American Music.' From the early experiments of the Zulus (a group featuring M'Bulu) in mixing doo-wop, rhythm & blues and South African gospel and the mbaqanga/'Grazing in the Grass'-style work of the generically named Johannesburg Street Band to the clearly Fela-influenced Ojah (Masekela's band in the mid-'70s, consisting of players from Ghana and Nigeria) and the readyfor-primetime belting of M'Bulu, each track reveals a multi-pronged effort to find and challenge the notion(s) of how African and American cultural forms could interact.'

From the forest near where I now live you can hear a chorus of different birds in voice at once, competing but each defined, in defence of a territory or to attract a mate. 'No One Dies' harks back to an earlier time in Seba's catalogue. A simple, effective amen rinse out with atmospherics that lend themselves to a dystopian sci-fi epic is truly sublime and has been smashing down dances across the planet.

'Island Dub', the more subtle of the 2 tracks is blissed out lo fi underground jungle of the highest order and something of a departure for both artist and label, however still maintaining the integral ethos of Inperspective Records.

The 2017 groundbreaking debut EP for Tamino-Amir Moharam Fouad, Tamino in short. The grandson of Egyptian actor/musician Moharam Fouad stormed the charts with the brilliant single 'Habibi', a song that envelops itself in a mist of melancholy and gloom. Tamino's phenomenal voice, ranging from a deep croon to a towering falsetto, goes right to the bone. He combines the tradition of the greatest singer-songwriters with his own Arabic roots. Belpop history was made right there.

Deruta Records opens its catalog with “Dela Secu” ,a two- track EP from acclaimed Romanian producer Cezar Lazar. The EP stands out as a musical manifesto, challenging the techno-house scene’s drift into mainstream quicksand.

“Solo 2305” introduces the EP with orchestral strings and a polymetric woodwind theme anchored by a steady groove, crafting a soundscape where tension and release unfold with precision. The woodwinds’ evolving motif lends a lyrical contour that completes the arrangement. “Yaka Yaka” turns toward intricate syncopations, its rhythmic complexity enriched by subtle orchestral inflections. A central polyrhythm drives the track, heightening its tension while adding depth to the groove.

Mastered by Vlad Caia and cut to lacquer by Mike Grinser, the tracks are crafted for the dancefloor, shaped by Cezar’s signature lyrical motifs that define his standing in minimal and experimental techno.

Side A kicks off with Colin Dale's remix of Dark Male, which is a typically throbbing techno cut for the dance floor, the Second track on Side A is David Duriez pushing an acid house remix of fellow French act G-Prod. On the flip is MOY's step into big bass and fast based breaks led drums which will make your head explode as they build their intensity, the second track is Derek Carr remixing The Vast Profound, his house rework offers all you might expect from this veteran of the scene - looped hooks and deep pads. Lastly The Vast Profound digs into the deeper end of house music layering up pads, strings and lush melodies. Comes with an insert "Remix track selector" on coloured vinyl limited to 135 sale copies.

Techno stalwart Mike Vinyl from Austria returns with Bloodline – a timeless, high-energy techno track that masterfully blends warmth and raw power. Three years after his debut album, London-based Jeigo levels up with a new long player that displays his knack for meaningful melodies and deft rhythms while blurring the lines between ambient, garage and breaks. Inspired by three months on an olive oil farm in rural Italy, there is a beautiful sense of isolation and inward reflection to these sounds, even when the energy ramps up. Sultry, airy vocals and delicate strings weave between organic grooves on the opener, while pitched-up and pained tones bring a futurist twist to the paddy garage beats of 'Echoes.' There is a more warped low end and hints of Burial's ghostly vocal and drum designs on 'Emptiness' while 'Groundwater' is shuffling house suffused with luminous synth work that brings a nostalgic pang. Curated from the archives of Tripmastaz, these works were originally conceived between 2002 and 2004. After remaining unreleased for over two decades, a meticulous selection was made from hundreds of early unfinished drafts, with the final versions completed in 2025.

The lead track and artwork both pay tribute to the spirit of youthful mischief — the cover image was captured in 2002 using a face pressed against a scanner.

Musically, the record delivers a slice of classic early-2000s tech house, staying true to the sound and character of that formative era. Beware of the Strainjah. The saga continues.

Five Again is a striking debut from Mi Ya that spans just six tracks but makes a lasting impact. The album was crafted at Space Talk and reflects on childhood not as a stage to abandon, but as a spirit to protect. Its delicate compositions echo fleeting memories, candles that won't blow out, naps of escape, the quiet joy of rain. Mi Ya describes the work as a refusal to let go of the child within, a reminder of innocence that still whispers. Hazy ambient synths and delicate melodies shine on tracks like 'I Forget Things', while the understated beauty of 'Tickle & Naps' stands out with its sparse, intricate detail. 'My Mom Left Me At The Train Station' is all pensive chords and shimmering percussion - it's musically light but emotionally profound.

Ben Hixon hails from Dallas, Texas and has had a busy year in 2025. He's back once again on home label Dolfin with a new four tracker that features versions of tunes not previously available on wax or digital. '4M1_bh' is a patient, slow-burning dub house cut with glitchy Detroit aesthetics and dusty drums. '14M3_bh' is just as undercooked and raw with rickety kicks and knackered hits, making for a groove steeped in beautiful imperfection. '505.1_bh' allows a little more light in with some warm synth loops flickering above razor sharp hi hats and off-the-cuff drum patterns. '606dreams_bh' shuts down with heavy, trudging kicks and ticking hi-hats way up high to make for a cavernous architecture. A superbly designed EP.
