Die aus der estnischen Metalszene stammende Band PRIDIAN wird ihr Debütalbum "Venetian Dark" über Century Media Re-cords veröffentlichen. Ihr moderner, energiegeladener und atmosphärischer Metalcore mit futuristischem Einschlag erinnert an Genre-Größen wie Northlane, Spiritbox und Architects. Beim Songwriting legen PRIDIAN den Schwerpunkt auf cineastisches Storytelling und ein starkes narratives Konzept in ihren Texten, ihrer Musik und ihren visuellen Elementen. "Wir wollen Songs schreiben, nicht nur instrumentenbasierte Musik. Wir könnten technische Sachen schreiben, weil wir alle unsere Instrumente beherrschen, aber gute Songs, interessante Strukturen und gute Geschichten sind wichtiger."Der Albumtitel "Venetian Dark" wurde von einer Farbe inspiriert, die sich in Jörgs Kopf festsetzte und sich langsam zu ihrer end-gültigen Form mit den allgemeinen Themen des Albums entwickelte. Das Album wurde komplett von PRIDIAN geschrieben und produziert, die viel individuelle und gemeinschaftliche Arbeit in die Entwicklung der Tracks gesteckt haben. Tracks wie "Out For Blood", "DINY" und "Void Resonance" vereinen chaotische, energiegeladene Riffs mit EDM-artigen Synthies, krachenden Break-downs und atmosphärischen Elementen. PRIDIAN schöpft aus dem Metalcore der 2010er-Ära, dem Djent und dem von Deftones inspirierten Post-Hardcore und lässt sogar eine Korn-ähnliche Nu-Metal-Kante erkennen, vor allem beim schweren, aber ein-gängigen "Darker Tides". Das Zwischenspiel "Synthetic Salvation" unterstreicht den kühnen Ansatz der Band, wie Laur erklärt: "Einige Tracks sind mehr Produktion als Song... das ist kein Metal, aber das ist mir egal. Aus der griechischen Black-Metal-Bastion Athen kommen Eleventh Ray mit Klageliedern, die schon seit fast einem Jahrzehnt auf sich warten lassen. Die okkulten Darbietungen in der unheiligen Hülle von Reviving Tehom beschwören den Geist von Celtic Frost, Sodom, den 90er-Jahre-Taten des großen Magus Wampyr Daoloth (Necromantia, Rotting Christ, Thou Art Lord) und natürlich Therions 1993er Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas Album.
Die Saat für Eleventh Ray wurde von Material gesät, das einst für die Black-Metal-Kraft von Serpent Noir geschaffen wurde, deren wechselnde Tonalität Gitarrist Y.K. dazu veranlasste, das besagte Material für einen späteren Zweck zu vergraben. Eine Entscheidung, die erst 2022 durch ein verheerendes Probedemo Früchte trug, das das Interesse von Dark Descent Records weckte.

Dark Horse – „Dark Horse“ erschien im Dezember 1974 und krönte ein produktives Jahr für George Harrison, in dem er sein eigenes Plattenlabel Dark Horse gegründet, in seinem Haus im englischen Friar Park ein Aufnahmestudio eingerichtet und eine ehrgeizige Tournee durch Nordamerika absolviert hatte.

Detroit house and techno staple DJ Holographic launches her new label, Through The Veil, with the release of her newest 12” EP with influences that trace back to the Detroit funk of the ‘60s. ‘House In The Dark’ part of a new body of work that will channel Holographic’s deep ties to astrology.

DJ Holographic’s spiritual journey has taken her deep into the practice of shadow work, a type of psychotherapy that allows her access to repressed parts of herself, finding answers about everything from her childhood experiences to romantic relationships to creative blocks. Born and raised in Detroit, this experience of inner exploration has educated and empowered her and serves as the inspiration behind her new project.

Holographic will debut this extremely personal work fully uninhibited on her new label. The releases correspond to each zodiac sign and will arrive monthly alongside her busy tour dates as she bears the flag of Detroit through global electronic music’s most regarded spaces/parties.

The Deep Series imprint operated as a sub-label of Diaphan Music, both of which released material between 2009 and 2014, as can often be the way for many artists family life and other responsibilities stepped up on the priority list and the label was put on hiatus.

Now back to reboot things with a fresh perspective and a focus on Georgios’ music and music from artists he admires, Deep Series begins its new chapter for 2022, bringing fresh deep and dynamic cuts and an uncompromising approach with its future direction. Leading the release and following on from his recent debut album on Dial is XDB with his ‘Back To The Roots Mix’, the title tells all as this Greek Techno aficionado delivers a classic groove fuelled by loose, bumpy drums, chugging synth stab sequences and twisted resonant loops.

‘Dark Path’ follows next, edging into dubby house territory with skippy percussion, expansive chords, choppy bass stabs and hypnotic vocal chants. Opening the b-side is ‘Distorted DRMS’, as the name suggest laying focus on raw, crunchy drums throughout while dreamy synth lines and heavy sub bass swells ebb and flow within. Lastly the original mix of ‘GR2’ rounds things out, stripping things back to hazy, ethereal textures, robust, low-slung drums and acid-tinged bass stabs.

Dario Larina ist vor allem durch seine Arbeit an der Seite des legendären Gitarristen Zakk Wylde bei Black Label Society bekannt. Neben den
Tausenden von Kilometern, die er mit der Band unterwegs war, schredderte Dario neben Zakk Wylde auf dem 2021 erschienenen Album Doom Crew
Inc. und begleitete den Black Label Society-Mastermind und die Sechssaiten-Legende auf das Cover von Guitar World. Bei letzterem brachte Wylde
den Grund, warum er den aufstrebenden Gitarristen an Bord holte, auf den Punkt: „Weil Dario großartig ist.“ Nebenbei brachte er auch zwei
Soloalben heraus, nämlich Dario Lorina und Death Grip Tribulations. Im Laufe des Jahres 2024 stellte er sorgfältig zusammen, was Spirit in the Glass
werden sollte. Er vervollständigte das Lineup mit Brody DeRozie, Mike Gunn und Luis Silva und schrieb und nahm in seinem Heimstudio in Las Vegas
auf, auch bekannt als „Dark Chapel“.
