Green vinyl, limited to 500 copies. Helheim, one of the founding pioneers of the Norwegian viking metal genre, are ready to release their 12th studio album "HrabnaR / Ad vesa". On this record, Helheim has made a split album with themselves. For the first time, the main songwriters V'gandr and H'grimnir have divided the album in two, where they solely take care of the vocals on the part they represent musically. This has resulted in two very different expressions - not uncommon for this band, but never as clearly as here. The first half, "Hrabnar", contains four stand-alone songs written by H'grimnir. The second part, "Ad vesa", is about the four components in Norse mythology that we know collectively as the human soul. In pre-Christian Norway, the concept of the soul was not a singular, unified entity, but a composite of many elements, of which the four key components were Fylgja, Hamr, Hugr, and Hamingja. Founded in 1992, Helheim are known and renowned all over the world for their authenticity and integrity when it comes to portraying their Norse heritage. Constantly growing and evolving, and staying clear of musical trends and fads, they've carved their own way for more than 30 years. This split album is no exception. Recorded in Duper and Solslottet Studio in 2024/2025, the album was engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Iver Sandoy.

Fun Fun was an Italian Euro disco band produced by Dario Raimondi Cominesi and Alvaro Ugolini. The group was fronted by models, while the vocals were recorded by

original singers Antonella Pepe, Angela Parisi, and Ivana Spagna. Spagna left after the release of their first album in 1983.

Their breakthrough came with the hit “Happy Station (Scratch Remix),” by Ben Liebrand which climbed the charts in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

The track became a staple in the hottest discos of the era. The Greatest Fun compilation album brings together their biggest hits, including “Happy Station (Scratch Remix),”

“Give Me Your Love,” “Baila Bolero,” and “Living in Japan.” Additionally, the album features the Fun Fun “Mega Hit Mix,” a special mix by

Dutch producer and DJ Martin Boer of 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor fame, along with many more Euro disco tracks.

Dummy is a rock band from Los Angeles comprised of Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O'Dell, and Joe Trainor. Their debut full-length "Mandatory Enjoyment" (Trouble in Mind) arrived in late 2021, becoming one of the year 's sleeper hits and garnering praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, and more. Coming out of lockdown, the band spent two years touring in support of the record, and it is this transformational experience that pulses through "Free Energy ", the exhilarating follow-up to "Mandatory Enjoyment". A creatively restless band, Dummy (Ewell: drums, synths, bass; Maatman: vocals, synths, organ; O'Dell: vocals, guitar, organ; Trainor: guitar, bass, synths) wanted to get harder, dancier, more psychedelic for their next record. This meant applying explorative potentials of electronic textures to the elemental qualities of rock i.e. more vocal loops, sampling, more crazy rhythms, and playful synths - but make those samples of Trainor 's guitar, let Maatman sing bolder, experiment with using cold mechanical elements in warm and sparkly ways, and lean harder into traditional-yet-still-awesome forms of rock guitar experimentation like feedbackThe result is a record that celebrates music's ability to move the body, whether that be through a teeth-rattling wall of MBV-esque noise, a sticky pop chorus, or a joyous drum machine_or, if you're Dummy, maybe all of them in the same song. Pop music has always been a big part of Dummy's sound and it manifests in different ways all over Free Energy: the bubbly synth sequence made with a Korg EM1 popping all over "Nullspace," the revved-up drone-pop inspired by second and third wave Dunedin Sound bands like Look Blue Go Purple and Dadamah, and the motorik beat powering "Nine Clean Nails," perhaps the most confidently pop song Dummy has ever recorded and one that exemplifies "Free Energy "'s balancing of live performance intensity with electronic augmentations, the dancier rhythmic elements created out of a drum loop recorded by Ewell while the bridge recalls the Feelies with call-and-response guitars from O'Dell and expressive vocals from Maatman. On the A side "Oriole" is a vintage disco-funk stormer taking inspiration both from the Soviet-era disco and jazz fusion records, as well as from 70s European library music and synth-funk movement. With this, their fourth album Black Helium find themselves widening the parameters of their take on heavy psychedelic rock, with probably their most baked and hook-laden material to date.

From the no-safety-net freak out of ‘Return the Curse’, to the sawtooth groove of ‘Up on a Hill’, ‘The Animals Are Coming’ LP is Black Helium at their most exploratory and focused.

Recorded one sun-drenched week in late June 2024, this time at Axe and Trap Studios with Ben Turner (Hey Colossus, Part Chimp). ‘The Animals Are Coming’ is the band sweating it out in a room, fueled by “party foods “and vintage amps. Digging deeper towards the source, no matter how transcendent, no matter how dark.

Black Helium are a psychedelic power trio, based in London. Never afraid to stray from the beaten path, they traverse aural hallucinatory soundscapes; from detuned Neanderthal rock to deep oceans of introspective blissed out psychedelia.

The band consistently gig across the UK (including a two week tour with Japanese label mates Hibushibire late 2024), and have recently started ventures into mainland Europe. And plan to continue throughout 2025.

Psychedelic rock in the dark!

Dope Purple's new album 'Children In The Darkness’ was recorded when the band hosted a live midnight recording session at Revolver, Taipei City, Taiwan on Friday 3rd March 2023.

Amidst the tense silence of the middle of the night, the five members of Dope Purple, two guest musicians: saxophonist Yong Yandsen from Malaysia, British drummer Darren Moore from Singapore, and a familiar audience, came together to produce the album 'Children In The Darkness’.

The album is a ferocious space psychedelic rock, no starlight, no glamourous psychedelic paradise, just a meditative journey of infinite darkness and ear-splitting tinnitus. Unlike our last album, I didn't have a specific theme or idea for this album, however I named it 'Children In The Darkness’ because all the songs on this album share the same lonely, disorientating chaos that reminds me of children forgotten in the darkness, and Dope Purple has always been a messenger for those children, playing sedative music for their ghosts.

At the end of each performance, I can clearly feel my furious brain melting away and only the calming spirit remains in my body.

Seit über 30 Jahren haben die Ozrics die Wechselfälle des Rock'n'Roll-Lebens erlebt. "Curious Corn" ist ein klassisches Ozrics-Album, das Rock, Ambient, Weltmusik und gekonnte Basslinien mit einem Markenzeichen-Groove vermischt, der Fans an die bemerkenswerten Festivalauftritte der Band erinnern wird.

Initially influenced by the skinhead scenes of France and Italy, their new LP “Renaissance” borrows from sounds outside the subculture, orchestrating harmonies to unite the punks, skins and moshers. The comparison to L’INFANTERIE SAUVAGE is undeniable with odd song structures switching from slow melodies to fast punchy pogo beats. However on this LP, there is a subtle influence of early American hardcore bands, adding more stomping rhythms and upping the pace of the songs. Renaissance is an excellent example of how a band can evolve their sound without losing the aspects that define them: razor sharps riffs, unexpected disco drum syncopations and, of course, orchestral “Ohhs”. Every song verges on an anthem that will get stuck in your head for days.

Ride bassist Steve Queralt’s debut solo album Swallow is a beautifully brooding nine-track collection that combines the darkly textured soundscapes of early M83 and Sigur Rós with an electronic sheen reminiscent of Boards Of Canada. It also features guest vocals from Sonic Cathedral labelmate Emma Anderson (formerly of Lush and Sing-Sing) and Verity Susman (Electrelane, Memorials).Swallow has been slowly but surely pieced together between Ride albums and tours over the past five years and, perhaps as a result, has a slightly dystopian, Blade Runner feel that reflects the liminal spaces in which it was created.Despite the fact that the majority of the album is instrumental, there is plenty of power and emotion poured into these moody, moonlit soundtracks. When words do appear, an underlying anger and political slant emerges and amplifies the album’s dark intensity. This is most notable on the closing track, ‘Motor Boats’, where he overlays words from Julie Sheldon’s polemic poem The Same Boat (“We’re all in the same boat they say, but I would disagree”). According to Steve, these simple words of rejection “capture the reality of our times perfectly”. However, it was the collaborations with the two guest vocalists that tied the whole thing together and paved the way to the finished album. “After a few false starts, I had started to doubt the project altogether. It was going nowhere,” says Steve. “Then, out of the darkness, Emma got in touch to tell me that she’d found her voice and could I send her some tracks. A few files back and forth and an afternoon in the studio later and we had ‘Lonely Town’ and ‘Swiss Air’.”In the meantime, Verity from Electrelane had added vocals to the song ‘Messengers’ and transformed the track. Matthew Simms, now her bandmate in Memorials, would go on to mix the finished album.“Swallow has turned out so much better than I had hoped,” enthuses Steve. “I’d fallen out of love with it so many times I was thinking of calling it Loveless. But then, that wouldn’t be the whole story.”

Drei der von den Originalbändern remasterten Tracks sind bislang auf Vinyl unveröffentlicht. Multi-Talent Jeymes Samuel hat auch das Cover-Artwork von Hand gemalt, im beiliegenden Booklet interviewt er die beiden Stars seines Westerns “The Harder They Fall”, Regina King und David Oleyowo, außerdem sind Original-Notenblätter und Filmposter abgebildet.

Jetzt auch auf Vinyl: Nach Mette Henriettes vielbeachtetem selbstbetitelten Debüt folgt nun Drifting – ein Album, das von Trio-Gesprächen mit eigenwillig-originellem Ausdruck durchdrungen ist. Mit Rückkehrer Johan Lindvall am Klavier und dem Neuzugang Judith Hamann am Cello präsentiert Mette kammermusikalische Ausarbeitungen von höchst konzentrierter und forschender Natur, zum Ausdruck gebracht durch subtile und zugleich intensive Interaktion. Motive und wiederkehrende Muster entstehen fast unscheinbar und offenbaren ein prägnantes Narrativ. Die Saxophonistin erklärt, dass ”dieses Album in Bewegung ist. Es bahnt sich seinen Weg und hat sein eigenes Tempo – der kreative Gestus unterscheidet sich grundlegend von dem, was ich bisher gemacht habe.” Aufgenommen in Oslo, fertiggestellt in den Studios La Buissonne und produziert von Manfred Eicher, präsentiert Drifting Trioerkundungen gedämpfter Texturen und vielfältiger Timbres mit besonderer Klarheit und Präzision.

3 Doors Down haben sich einen Weg als die Rockband schlechthin gebahnt und feiern mittlerweile einen ungebrochenen Mainstream-Erfolg. Dabei haben sie aber nie ihre Kleinstadt-Identität verloren hat, was sie zu den wahren Underdogs des Rock gemacht hat. This is the very first reissue on 7” single of these super rare and gorgeous early Reggae tracks by one of the most underrated voice of Jamaica. Both these tracks were produced by Dandy Livingstone and released in 1969 on the Downtown label, a Trojan sublabel, on two separate singles:
- DT-436: Audrey "You'll Lose A Good Thing" with Desmond Riley "If I Had Wings" on the flip.
- DT-414: Audrey "Love Me Tonight" with Brother Dan All Stars "Shoot Them Amigo" on the B side.
NOTE: Desmond Riley "If I Had Wings" is featured on our companion single also to be released on June 21, 2025.
This reissue brings these two rare gems together for the first time on a 7” single allowing enthusiasts and collectors to experience their gorgeous sound.
The original pressings have become highly collectible, with copies fetching big sums in the collectors' market.

Audrey Hall, aka Audrey was born in Kingston in 1948, sister to Pam, Trevor & Raymond Hall, all Reggae artists. She began her career as a duo, Dandy & Audrey with Dandy Livingstone. She recorded two albums with Dandy as a duo in 1968 and 1969.
She also recorded a handful of solo singles on the Down Town label with Livingstone as a producer. Dandy was a key producer shaping Jamaican sounds in Britain at that time. Although these tracks are actually all quite nice, two tracks really standout: “You’ ll Lose A Good Thing” and “Love Me Tonight” both released together for the first time on this single.
After the Skinheads craze subsided in Britain, Audrey moved to New York. During much of the 1970s and early 1980s, she worked as a backing singer alongside her sister Pam Hall. She made a real come-back as a solo artist in 1985 with producer Donovan Germain and scored many hits in the U.K.including “One Dance Won’t Do”, "Smile" and "The Best Thing For Me".
While she gained wider success in the 1980s with lovers rock hits, she did not quite get the recognition her outstanding singing skills deserved and she remains one of the most underrated voice of Jamaica…

Both tracks were produced by Dandy Livingstone (also known as Brother Dan) in 1969 on the Downtown Records on two separate singles.
This reissue brings these two rare gems together for the first time on a 7” single. Both tracks are quite rare and very much in demand with
“SKINHEADS A MESSAGE TO YOU” being an anthem for early reggae enthusiasts!

Swingrowers are known for their mixture of JAZZ, SWING, POP and ELECTRO, they have extensively toured Europe and North America, opening sell-out shows for Parov Stelar, Chinese Man & Caravan Palace. On top of delivering official remixes for Caro Emerald and Swing Republic, Swingrowers also boast musical collaborations with The Lost Fingers, Gypsy Hill, DJ Pony Montana and have had their own songs remixed by Bart&Baker and Jamie Berry.

Following on from their debut album 'Pronounced Swing Grow'ers' in 2012, Swingrowers have released their second album 'REMOTE' in early 2015, followed now by 'OUTSIDEIN', the band's third full-length studio album. This new release shows their expert musicianship and most meticulous production to date, mixing genres from jazz to electronica, from gypsy-swing to full-on rock'n'roll with a melodic pop sensibility.

Here we go... the one everyone asks me about. And finally, after 6 years, we have done a second pressing. This time on black vinyl as the original repress that we did in 2019 was on yellow vinyl - Holy Quattro vinyl! Our old skool supporters will remember the original Kickstarter Quattro which spawned many bundles by us over the years (and even a few other labels have nicked the name too!) And this is a heater for sure - a much loved jungle release from 1993 that originally came out on Underdog Recordings. It takes grindin' to be a king and Houston's Mike Jones' work ethic of "You Don't Work, You Don't Eat, You Don't Grind, You Don't Shine" had his phone blowing up in 2005 with the release of his major label debut Who is Mike Jones? on Asylum/Swisha House/Warner Records. Mike Jones started rapping in the early 2000s and he released a couple of independent albums on his own label Ice Age Entertainment before linking up with Michael "5000" Watts of Swisha House. He recorded the underground single "Still Tippin" with Texas contemporaries Paul Wall and Slim Thug, which appeared on the Swisha House compilation The Day Hell Broke Loose 2. The song, full of southern hip-hop slang and braggadocio, was an ode to the classic car culture in Houston, Texas, and could be heard bumpin' out the trunks of cars nationwide with its heavy bass and classical string loops. Before the release of Who Is Mike Jones? girls would ignore him, but after the release of "Still Tippin" they were all up on him, which led to the release of the single "Back Then" where he shouted out his real cell phone number that played a major part in the marketing and promotion of the album.You could call 281-330-8004 and get his voicemail and leave a message, but sometimes he would answer, which led to spreading the word of Mike Jones' debut album. "Back Then" was also a top-selling ringtone because (back then) you had to buy and download ringtones, unlike today. Mike truly went viral before going viral was even a thing. After dropping the two hit singles, Who Is Mike Jones? was released on April 19th, 2005, and would sell over a million copies that year, leading to certified platinum status. Twenty years later, this Texas Rap classic still holds up with features from other H-Town legends including S.U.C.'s Big Moe (RIP),Bun B, Paul Wall and Lil Keke. Juicy J & DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia added their Memphis touch to the "Got It Sewed Up Remix" and the album ends with a heartfelt dedication to Mike Jones' late Grandmother on "Grandma". Few lovers stay together for life-and beyond. Just as rare are the artists who manage to keep alive the burning flame of their creative desire. Areski Belkacem is one of those who nurtures in his heart a fire that never dies out, a passion that burns just as intensely for music as it does for his beloved. As long as the message eventually reaches its intended recipient, he cares little for how long the journey takes. His new album, Long courrier, is proof of this: twelve unreleased songs that flow like a love letter set to music. In nearly 60 years of career, Areski Belkacem has released only three solo albums-intimate and deeply personal works that feel like whispered confidences to a loved one. In an era where commercial demands shape much of music production, these records exist solely to fulfill his need for expression. The late music lover and producer Jean-Philippe Allard once said, "Areski goes against the tide-he always seems to enjoy taking forbidden paths!" In Long courrier, Areski tenderly expresses love for his homeland and his beloved. He believes in the power of sensuality, the sacredness of pleasure, and the hidden beauty in every person despite life's hardships. He shows a fraternal gaze toward outsiders and sings of inner journeys, doubt, vows, eternal bonds-with a voice as warm and bright as a loving smile. After the explosive Comme à la radio, infused with the free jazz energy of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Brigitte Fontaine and Areski Belkacem released six albums together or separately between 1972 and 1977. Their music, often stripped down to voice, guitar, and percussion-or performed a cappella-stood in stark contrast to the orchestrated French pop of the time. This minimalist and spontaneous approach highlighted the poetic power of the lyrics and the intimacy of the melodies, earning them recognition in the counterculture and underground scenes. By the end of the 1970s, Fontaine sought to make her work more visible without losing its originality. The Baraka album marked this transitional moment, initially recorded in a home studio without external musicians. Its title (meaning "blessing" in Arabic) hinted at a desire for success. Mixing introspection, absurd humor, and bold stylistic choices, the album was technically ambitious, featuring stereo duets and layered vocals, and lyrically rich, tackling everything from metaphysical themes to playful nonsense. However, the project ultimately veered off course. After moving the recordings to the massive Studio Davout and bringing in producer and guitarist Martial "Mimi" Lorenzini, the album lost its original intimacy. Overproduced arrangements clashed with the simplicity of Fontaine and Belkacem's initial intent, resulting in an album-renamed Les églantines sont peut-être formidables-that the artists later disowned, refusing to allow its commercial release. Recently rediscovered demo tapes, stripped of their bombastic layers, reveal the raw, emotional core of the songs-showcasing the duo's voices with a rare authenticity. These recordings bridge a missing link in their discography, between their experimental lo-fi years and their later, more accessible work. Decades on, Fontaine and Belkacem remain defiant originals, never settling into a formula, always evolving, and continuing to shake the foundations of French chanson.

Der Songwriting-Prozess für Come Ahead begann 2019. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte Bobby Gillespie noch

die Texte vor der Musik. Die Geschichte kam zuerst. Bobby schrieb allein, mit einer Akustikgitarre. Die
Ideen flossen schnell, in langen Inspirationsschüben. Dieser Prozess, zusammen mit der Ermutigung durch
Produzent David Holmes, bot einen neuen Einstieg. In Zusammenarbeit mit Holmes und Primal ScreamGitarrist Andrew Innes wurden die Come Ahead-Sessions in Belfast, London und Los Angeles durchgeführt.

DIEMAJIN is the duo of Berlin-based producer DJ DIE SOON (Daisuke Imamura) and Tokyo-based vocalist MA. Their self-titled debut is equal parts scrambled hip-hop, simmering noise and spectral Tokusatsu soundtrack. A set of cursed beats and possessed raps inspired by Japanese sci-fi and supernatural-horror films from the 1960s.
The pair, both originally from Japan, first collaborated live at an event in Berlin organised by Morphine Records in 2019. But the eleven tracks on their self-titled debut were made by swapping beats, sounds and acapellas across the internet. Editing, arranging and degrading them into the collection presented here.
