Back on PANORAMA Records, we turn to a beautiful slice of under-the-radar Jamaican reggae with Horace Martin – “Me Rule.”

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Horace Martin was just 20 years old when he stepped into Channel One Studio to record the track in 1974. At the time he was building his name locally, performing in clubs and talent shows around the city while cutting sides in Kingston’s vibrant studio scene. “Me Rule” captures that moment perfectly — youthful confidence over a deep, steady rhythm.

This record earned its place among the deepest collectors: Proper rootsy dancefloor reggae that feels just as good today as it did when it first came out of Kingston.

On the flip, things open up with a dubbed-out version of the rhythm titled “Rule,” credited to Prince Huntly. Stripped back, the dub extends the track — echo, percussion, and bass doing the work.

As always, PANORAMA Records continues its search for overlooked gems from across the globe — records with history, character, and real musical weight. Carefully remastered and brought back on 7inch, PAN013 is another example of these records finding their way back to the turntable.

‘Sustained’ is the new album by Jungstötter, the solo project of Berlin-based songwriter and musician Fabian Altstötter. With sparse, poignant arrangements of piano, strings, electronics, and noise, Jungstötter composes a tender, raw, and poetic song cycle of exquisite romanticism, featuring a cast of close collaborators including the Berlin-based artist Ronja (Roomer). Evoking the fervent vocal versatility of ANOHNI and Scott Walker, Jungstötter adopts the human breath as a central metaphor in a miraculously moving opus of intimacy, vulnerability, and communion.

Across ten tracks of experimental pop songcraft, notes oscillate, soft strings linger, piano ambles, noise billows up and sears back into itself – and all of it is bound by a distinct voice that roams from a remote, warped undertone to an immediate melodic intensity.

Distorting the soft edges of vocal melody with rattling tactile noise, ‘Sustained’ is a mercurial portrait of layered lyric and contracting sound. The third album by Jungstötter, ‘Sustained’ bends away from the more dense, knotted sounds of his last two solo albums, ‘Love Is’ (2019) and ‘One Star’ (2023), toward a particular rawness that reestablishes the strength of poetics, of vocal sound, and the softness of song when reduced, restrained, redirected.

BLK ODYSSY is an Austin-based artist and producer whose boundary-pushing sound blends soul, hip-hop, rock, funk, and pop. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and raised in a household steeped in neo-soul, BLK began channeling his voice through music after the unjust killing of his older brother by police at age 12. That life-altering loss and the experience of growing up Black and male in 21st-century America fuels his raw, layered storytelling. His debut album, BLK VINTAGE (2021), written and produced with close collaborators, served as both a celebration and a critique of Black identity in America. It was met with critical acclaim and re-released in 2022 via Empire as BLK VINTAGE: The Reprise, featuring Mereba, Benny the Butcher, George Clinton, and Baby Rose. The project has since amassed over 100 million streams and positioned BLK ODYSSY as a standout voice in modern soul. His 2023 sophomore album, DIAMONDS & FREAKS, continued his ascent, merging surrealism and social commentary with contributions from Rapsody, KIRBY, Bootsy Collins, Cory Henry, and production from The Alchemist. NPR called BLK “a surrealist R&B auteur,” while Pitchfork praised his ability to bend genre into a cinematic sonic experience. In 2024, following a surreal Tiny Desk performance and festival appearances across Europe—including a headline set at North Sea Jazz Festival and Lollapalooza in Chicago—BLK ODYSSY launched a bold new chapter, with his third studio album, 1-800 FANTASY. The first single from the album, “WANT YOU” (co-produced by Tyler Johnson, known for his work with Harry Styles), marked a shift in tone. On Lila, his debut LP, Moroccan artist Karim presents a series of undulating electronic rhythms laser-etched into tessellated form: drumless techno from the pre-Sahara, built for communal psychic expansion.

Drumless, yes, but not percussionless. There are shakers, castanets, stabs, plonks, thuds. There are insistent basslines propelling forward, pulsing with energy, rippling in time. There are tones interlocking, rolling, fluttering, pattering. Dancing within, around, between each other. Considered in terms of sheer geometry, Lila is a techno record, unmistakably. But it sounds quite unlike any other techno record you've heard lately.

To write the album, Karim borrowed from the music of the Gnawa, a religious-spiritual musical tradition descended from West African peoples brought to Morocco as slaves hundreds of years ago. Now integrated deeply into Moroccan culture, the centerpiece of Gnawa music is the lila—or "night," in Arabic—an all-night-long ritual of rhythm designed to induce participants and musicians alike into a healing trance state. Which, if you're a dedicated raver, may sound familiar, yes?

Crafted entirely with modular synthesizers, Lila conjures a range of textures and moods. The show opens with "Bakh," a blissful exercise in beatlessness, clear and crystalline. On "Philipoussis," "Kiyex," and "Sonic," arpeggiated synths approximate Gnawa chants while interlaid percussion keeps time in multiple meters. "La" and "Kille" pulse in half-time, ideal for creative mixing. "Joul à lèvre" bristles with electricity, the sound of a charged lightning rod. "Pamil," woozy and lurching, feels like being shipwrecked on a forgotten island. Last and absolutely certainly not least, on the final track, "Miloir," Karim faces West and unleashes the album's only kick drum for a ten-minute psychedelic techno masterpiece. The mind warps; the body moves. 

Lila is released on Tikita, Karim's own record label, founded in 2014. Tikita's discography, spare but tightly curated, features artists from across the globe pushing outwards into techno's deepest reaches. Karim's album pushes even farther. Listen for yourself.

ANAOH INVITES - Homeground Edition

Celebrating 10 years of ANAOH, this special edition of the label's annual Invites series turns the focus inward. Fixon and Dig-It open the A-side with two collaborative tracks reflecting the sound and creative bond that has shaped the label over the years.
On the B-side, Damian Vargas and Victor Fernandez, key members of the ANAOH crew, contribute two distinctive cuts representing the label's close-knit artistic circle.

JUDDER opens a new chapter in its history with its first 12-inch vinyl release As part of a new mini-album series, the label brings together artists from diverse backgrounds and musical perspectives. What unites them all is an openness to experimentation and a deep affinity for sub-frequencies. Side A is driven by a bold, high-impact sound with references to techno, grime, and baile funk. The release opens with Komo by Italian producer Coido. The track unfolds in unpredictable ways, its rebellious character maintaining tension from start to finish and refusing to let go of the dancefloor. This energy is carried forward by Oddkut. His Phase Shift is a pure body-mover, where the core bassline and rhythms awaken a raw, primal energy. Side B shifts the focus toward more minimalist, rhythm-centered forms of bass music. In Diligence by Nattah, breakbeat and UK techno merge into a hybrid where atmospheric reverbs are expertly balanced with the drive of sub-bass pressure. With the title "Treatise On A Narcissist" hinting at the EP's thematic exploration, the four originals by Shaleen are a masterclass in atmospheric, driving techno-built on powerful basslines, intricate percussion and an unnerving emotional intensity. This formidable body of work is then subjected to four distinct and high-calibre reinterpretations, each pushing the originals into new sonic territories.

Fiedel delivers a masterclass in raw, functional Berlin Techno. His "Treatise on a Narcissist" Remix builds on a foundation of caustic percussion and echoing metallic textures to create a journey into the machine's heart, powered by monolithic kick drums and pulsating, hypnotic sequences. This is peak-time, strobelit intensity-a dark, unforgiving lesson in rhythm and propulsion.

Mareena's sophisticated version of Shaleen's "Treatise On A Narcissist" strips the original back to its essential hypnotic core. It locks into a precise, relentless rhythm with characterizing sharp hi-hats, a focused, pulsating kick drum and creates a sense of deep,
foreboding atmosphere by utilizing subtle, filtered synth drones and echo effects.

Rosati's Remix of Shaleen's "Nymphomaniac" layers hypnotic elements, leading to a massive, euphoric breakdown and creates a captivating, almost obsessive mood. This track demands movement. It's an unrelenting sonic journey characterized by a hard-thumping rhythm section that maintains relentless forward momentum.

JakoJako steps up to deliver a nuanced and immersive re-imagining of Shaleen's "Fused in Desire". Moving away from high-impact euphoria, this remix focuses on dark, driving Techno.
The textural soundscape features a powerful low-end as well as lush, evolving pads and shimmering, modulated synth textures that create a vast, emotional space to establish a profound, steady pulse. Designed for total immersion, this track serves as both a
high-energy peak-time weapon and a hypnotic journey for early-morning dancefloors.

EFUNK Volume V is the fifth installation of the annual VA compilation featuring music from a curated collection of artists set to perform at Soul Clap’s House Of EFUNK touring party series. This release date on wax and digital is right in time for the official Movement Festival afterparty @ TV Lounge in Detroit that spans 2 days with 3 areas of sound. This year’s compilation features music from Soul Clap alongside long time friend and Baltimore favorite Baronhawk Poitier who present “Set The Scene”, a futuristic earthshaking groove with Baronhawk’s spoken vocals backed by Charles Levine’s vocoder and a Moog topline played by Baronhawk that won’t quit. Hercules & Love Affair makes a debut on the label with “Stay Ready” a chugging tracky / acid infused banger which should absolutely induce a dancefloor sweat. Kai Alce shares a discofied sample-licious crowd pleaser called “Boogie” with the help of additional keys by Byron Blaylock better known as Byron The Aquarius. Detroit’s new school starchild JMT joins with the hard hitting peaktime soul powered “Black Magic Touch” and last but certainly not least, Lauren Flax adds an edge of danger while calling for “Revolution” featuring vocals from Liz Wight. CBR009 by Hannah Addams & Cxma (Including Oxygeno Remix) Hannah Addams, Label Owner is back on the imprint after a long period of silence. First of many releases to come is a collaboration with Cxma.

This EP is the result of a whole life together in Sin City, a friendship longer than 30 years, thousands of moments, raves, parties, countless time sharing their love for music. 3 Original Mixes, Raw music, dirty bass lines, crazy random Synthe patterns. A style where both artists feel like at home. It is notorious how comfy they feel swimming on those seas. The EP gets to its maximum when a good old friend of
both, after listening to the tracks, realizes and decides he would love remixing one of them. Oxygeno Remix of "Danza de los ET" is adding the class and cleanness that was missing in the though original mixes.

Aspetuck has been steadily carving out a name for himself through releases on Never Late and Oslated, garnering a respected following for his DJ mixes and festival performances. Aspetuck’s latest record, Immersion, was sequenced and curated from dozens of ideas spanning a transformative few years in Griff’s life. The album is less a snapshot in time and more of a memory bank - flashes of fatherhood, loss, modular rabbit holes, late-night studio sessions, and long walks by the Hudson River with his daughter.
The emotional undertow of the album is immediate. Opener Hit Me With Your Pet Shark is one of the earliest compositions in the collection, created just months after the loss of Griff’s brother and during the sleepless swirl of new parenthood. Built around a single sound from Spectrasonics Omnisphere, found while rediscovering his brother’s studio gear, the track sets the tone: restrained yet searching, personal without becoming precious.
From there, The Printing Press captures the raw energy of a live jam in Griff’s upstate New York basement, running through a 1980s Tascam mixer like a lo-fi assembly line of synths, pads, and drum machines. REI, named after a spontaneous family mission to find a pink water bottle, encapsulates his knack for imprinting daily minutiae into sound. And title track Immersion- once known simply as Tuesday 303 Jam- emerges from a dinner break and a blender, distilling modular sketches and distorted drums into a powerful, slow-motion march.
Under, Under The Tree hits hardest. Built around a grainy iPhone voice memo of Griff’s daughter singing by the Hudson. And closing the album is Bobik, a collaborative studio session with Moon Patrol channeling the playful chaos of a close friendship and modular exploration. Named after a joke about their golden retriever and filled with alien textures from Griff’s beloved EMU XL7 gifted years ago by his late brother, it’s a fitting send-off to an album that straddles celebration and mourning with grace.
The artwork comes courtesy of Peter Skwiot Smith, whose textured analog/digital aesthetic resonated immediately with Griff’s original vision. Peter’s treatment draws on Griff’s personal photography and leans into motion, blur, and the layered nature of memory, echoing the album's sonic tone without overexplaining it.

Despite building their careers out of strikingly different musical places, both dBridge and Radioactive Man have taken influence from the field in which each other operate. dBridge (Darren White) was part of the iconic drum & bass outfit Bad Company and he helms one of the scene's most solid and quality imprints in Exit Records and Radioactive Man (Keith Tenniswood) was born from the acid house scene and the off kilter electronics of his Two Lone Swordsman projects (alongside Andrew Weatherall) which led him to create his decidedly UK take on Drexciyan electro. It's by no means a stretch to learn that both producers have crates that contain their favourites from each genre but they've also found a mutual respect and connection in the studio over the last few years, leading to the dBRm moniker for Craig Richards' The Nothing Special label.

Melody As Truth and Future Days Radio present ‘At the Emerald Pool’, an album by Tomo Katsurada and Jonny Nash.

Netherlands-based artists Tomo Katsurada (Ex-Kikagaku Moyo / Future Days Radio) and Jonny Nash (Melody As Truth) combine forces for an exploration into the sonic potential of the guitar duo, rooted in their experiences performing together over the last 12 months.

Friends and admirers of each other’s work for a decade, their musical collaboration began in 2024 with Katsurada asking Nash to contribute guitar to his debut EP ‘Dream Of The Egg’. Sensing the need to explore this further, they spent the following year performing together in different configurations, with Nash joining Katsurada’s trio and Katsurada in turn playing with Nash as a duo, across a wide spectrum of spaces, from churches and temples to concert halls, theatres and outdoor festivals. With new ideas developing organically out of these performances, recording new material became the next logical step. A short period of three days was set aside with a clear goal: to capture the essence of their fluid, intertwining melodies and guitar playing in a way that felt as direct and unfiltered as possible. Working from a handful of pre-existing sketches, they left ample room for experimentation to unfold within the process.


The results are presented on ‘At The Emerald Pool’, a collection of ten pieces that offer the listener a full immersion into the pair’s sound. With guitar as the primary instrument for both artists, it is no surprise that the core of the album lies here, specifically in the fluid interplay between the two players. Layers of gentle, delay-soaked fingerpicking often make it almost impossible to distinguish where one player ends and the other begins. As soloists, both Katsurada and Nash have a gift for crafting melodic lines that feel open and ascending, expressive and hopeful without becoming saccharine. Longer, more abstract pieces are counterbalanced by a series of shorter songs, with five vocal tracks appearing across the album. The decision to share vocal duties lends the record a unique quality and a strong sense of variation, bringing a wide expressive range out of a deliberately focused musical framework.


‘At The Emerald Pool’ represents the first chapter in an ongoing musical dialogue, an attempt to capture a moment of connection, openness and discovery, laying the foundation for what continues to unfold.

A cult classic reborn for a new generation.

Originally released in 2002 on the short‑lived US imprint Square Room Records, the In Stereo EP by Aruba (Darran Nugent) has long been a prized gem for vinyl collectors of quality underground house and techno.

Now, two decades later, Darran brings In Stereo back to life on his new Sleight of Hand label, with ‘Soundz From My Stereo’ completely re‑recorded and sounding hotter than ever. This special edition also features a brand‑new Re‑edit plus a standout remix from UK DJ and producer Man Power (Geoffrey Kirkwood), who delivers a bold, imaginative re‑interpretation that elevates the release into something truly special.

Also returning is ‘Body Groove’, freshly reimagined for today’s floors. The original’s slap‑bass funk remains gloriously intact, now paired with a more modern, refined house sensibility that gives the track a whole new swagger.

The follow up to 2022’s ‘Return to the Island’ LP is a new 6 track EP influenced heavily by the evocative powers of incense and a deep sense of escapism. The EP has a more organic sound palette than its predecessor, from both the use of samples and appearance of various guest musicians. Lead track ‘Morning Star’ features long standing collaborator Mike Burn (Udaberri Blues & Mama Capes) who adds his trademark liquid gold lead and rhythm guitar lines with live bass from Fernando Pulichino.

The guest on ‘Savanna’ is frequent Jack J collaborator Linda Fox, who provides emotive and melancholy sax over a Dub House backing track with a particularly dreamy chord progression. The EP features Instrumental Dubs of both tracks, alongside two other new productions, the 80s leaning ‘Hands Across the Sea’ and ‘Wah Fix’, which rounds off the more Dub influenced B side with a 125 BPM bouncy Dub House excursion.

In 2026 the Jura Soundsystem project enters its 10th year and is the creative musical outlet of Isle of Jura founder Kevin Griffiths. All tracks produced at IOJ HQ in Moana, Adelaide between 2022 and 2025 with support from the incense gods of Cedarwood, Jasmine and Sandalwood. The 12” is housed in a 3mm spine full sleeve designed by Bradley Pinkerton.

Different strokes for different folks. The celebrative 11-track 'xoxo' compilation, originally pressed as a 3xLP, is now also available as three separate EPs. Selection of IKIGAI Album by Nadia Struiwigh. IKIGAI was born in the quiet space between grief and remembering... Made entirely on hardware, from my living room in Berlin near Hermannplatz (my dad's name is Herman -- the odds), in the months my father passed away. Every sound, every sequence, every texture carries his fingerprint. Not because he made music, but because he made me love gadgets. Circuits, signals, blinking lights. He was the man who opened me up to machines and taught me how, eventually, to listen to them and use them for my craft. The name IKIGAI, a Japanese word for ''reason for being,'' found me when I was at a crossroads. The kind where you ask yourself: Why am I still here? What am I still creating for? What part of me still believes in beauty when everything feels like it's falling apart? These pieces came through slowly, on Japanese gear like Yamaha SEQTRAK, KORG, Roland -- like threads weaving a tapestry I didn't know I was making. Each track is a kind of purge... to him, to myself, to the listeners who find themselves in the in-between. The space where you're not who you were, and not yet who you're becoming. I found myself back into soundscapes and Ambient with a touch of Electronica. I weaved in sounds I captured from daily life, memories -- like the laugh of my sister. I built in silence and let the machines cry for me and let them tell the story I couldn't find the words for. IKIGAI is spacious. It's not trying to impress anyone. It's trying to just be, and hold space for all kinds of emotions. It moves like memory... slow, sacred, shifting. If art is to be exhibited, then Ulrika Spacek will ensure that their art is collective; that even as the world becomes inhospitable to community, their intentions are an act of resistance.

Whether it is Oysterland, the self-curated night the band have been Hosting for over ten years to platform artists of other disciplines in live music spaces, or Total Refreshment Centre, the East London studio Syd runs which connects the dots between the jazz scene and like-minded experimental artists of the capital and beyond, or their creative bleed as musicians and producers over the years with the likes of Crack Cloud, caroline, DIIV, Holy Wave and Slowdive, the band’s existence is inseparable from their community.

In a hyper-individual world, the band’s fourth album, ‘EXPO’, offers an antidote. It’s there, in the shared dream logic of the music, the off-kilter melodies, jagged guitars and cirrus cloud atmospherics. It’s there, in all the things that are said and unsaid between them; there in the writing, producing and mixing processes they share in. And even as each of their parts Moves toward a unified vision, it’s never more keenly felt than in the bigger Picture to which Ulrika Spacek belong.

Though their well-established foundations are in the art-rock world - and though they are inspired by electronic elements more than ever - Ulrika Spacek are interested in the glitch that exists between the two. Their Music reckons with human warmth and digital isolation, equal parts welcoming and altogether alienating. “Our music has always been a collage - a bit patchwork, sonically - but what makes this album a landmark for us is that we went one step further and made our own sample bank,” explains singer / guitarist Rhys. They create their own doppelgängers in a world of almostreal, where the band appear as if in a hall of mirrors. Digital drums are sampled layered upon real drums, and the effect is almost like birth in reverse - pulled from the ether and returned back to the tangible world.

“There’s a lot that can be said about writing when there is no aim, there is a freedom and a purity in it which opens a door to more music, and in this case, it set a mood for a new album, one that would be colder, darker and one that would embrace electronics and new instrumentation in a new terrain,” the band share. “The album’s greater theme is isolation and alienation in an online world where it seems everybody around you is constantly exhibiting themselves, living in public wanting to be seen and heard. The age of ‘individuality’ is lonely, it’s a room of concave mirrors, and with this in mind, we set upon making our most collective effort; ‘It’s back to strength in numbers, count in fives.”

Chunkers 010 – Running Hot – Hot Tracks Vol 1. EP

For the tenth release on Chunkers, Running Hot brings the heat. Hot Tracks Vol. 1 channels a range of peak-time energies from day to night across four insatiable house tracks: all killer, no filler. Those already familiar will know that Running Hot has practically developed his own subgenre at this stage: a classic, finely honed sound that draws from every corner of the house music archive while remaining contemporary, fresh, and 100% playable. This release is no different.

‘Feel The Rhythm’ is a peak-time tribal affair, irresistibly percussive with a sickening New York feel. This is the kind of track that turns a dancefloor feral when dropped at the right moment, its vocal pizazz and hammering toms providing just the right amount of tension and release to flip a room upside down.

Veering into warehouse territory, ‘Trip’ is a stripped-back stomper that nods to the anthemic sound of London club Trade in the ’90s. Expertly tuned stabs, vocals, and shifting percussion keep the energy locked in from start to finish without ever becoming too much.
On the B-side, ‘Bumpin’ brings the sunshine and once again demonstrates that if something isn’t broken, there’s no need to fix it. Running Hot’s winning formula is employed to its fullest here: a well-rounded house groove layered with vibrant chords, lush strings, and smouldering vocal hooks that evoke golden beaches and open fields, perfect for daytime dancefloor moments.

Rounding off the EP in classy fashion, ‘Amor’ fuses UK hard house tropes with lush synths, a boisterous bassline, earworm vocals, and unrelenting grooves, creating a track that feels equally at home at a daytime do or deep into late-night territory.

Is the result of an unexpected and powerful connection between Meeks and Jedsa Soundorom.
Both have spent over 25 years immersed in music, coming from very different backgrounds but combining them to create something completely original.
Meeks, an experienced producer and beat-maker, made his mark during the French Touch boom of the early 2000s.
He worked with artists like Hernest Saint Laurent and Scratch Massive, earning respect for his attention to detail and his love of exploring sounds and textures.
Jedsa Soundorom, meanwhile, is a DJ and producer who’s traveled the world, always bringing new influences into his music and growing his unique style.
When they met a year and a half ago, it clicked right away. That connection became BUG DIVIsion, a project that blends Meeks’ careful precision with Jedsa’s raw energy, creating electronic music that feels both deep and natural.

The Release:
Striking the sweet spot between sampledelic downtempo and earth-rooted deep house, Fila Brazillia's Old Codes New Chaos is a maverick patchwork of grooves and soundscapes. Crafted in North East England in the vibrant period before chill-out was co-opted by advertising, Steve Cobby and Dave McSherry's sharp-eared funk formula remains a cult classic suite of exquisite productions spanning deep house, broken beat and ambient shot through with wry humour.
Last physically released in limited quantities in 2002, Forever Records are revisiting this 1994 gem with an extensive reissue led by a triple vinyl pressing. As well as a new LP edition of the album, there will also be a uniquely numbered, limited edition housed in a gatefold sleeve that comes with a bonus 10" featuring two previously unreleased tracks.

'Chemistry' and 'Rankine', plus an exclusive print of Catherine Brennand's watercolour painting that graces the front of the album. All editions also features liner notes by veteran music journalist John McCready.

Budakid releases Dreams Stretched Beyond, his debut album, on July 3. The Dutch, Berlin based producer, DJ, singer, and multi instrumentalist continues to construct his music from the ground up. With Flores, he has established a platform to fully realize that vision. Following releases on labels associated with Guy J, Solomun, and Sasha, he has built a strong reputation in the industry over the years. This LP consolidates that trajectory into a lush, vivid body of work, balancing his roots in dance music with his own voice and signature productions.

After nearly three years, *Can You Feel It Vol. 5* marks the release of a brand-new installment in Tramp Records' Disco/Boogie series. Like all four previous volumes, Vol. 5 offers a colorful mix of songs from the late 1970s and early 1980s. From extremely rare tracks to easily accessible ones and even unreleased material-this release has everything to make a collector's heart race. Once again, these songs will get you on your feet, inspire you to dance, and transport you back to the glittering world of the late 1970s. CAN YOU FEEL IT?

Let's take a closer look at a few of the songs on this album. Kicking things off are Bill Deal & The Rhondels, a band that needs no introduction. The same cannot be said for Tom Balistreri and Ryjel. The latter presents "Heart's On Fire," a seven-minute journey into previously unreleased deep disco. "Old Mother Winter" may not be a typical disco song, but it's undoubtedly a fantastic composition. The Stone Mill Band is relatively unknown even among hardcore collectors. The most recent track on this album is by singer Tory Wynter who already contributed a song for Can You Feel It Vol.4. "Oh Let The Rain Fall Down" was released in 1988.

The second record opens with "Been Thinkin' About You" by Avatar-an amazing song and probably the rarest gem on this album, in stark contrast to Piz-Zazz - a record you can find easily for a few dollars. Saxophonist King Perkoff was born in Santa Monica, California, but now resides in Berlin, and with "When You Live In Marin" he delivers a real disco-funk banger! Glenn "Shake & Bake" Doughty played professional football as a wide receiver for the Baltimore Colts from 1972 to 1979. Together with some of his teammates, he founded the Shake & Bake Band in 1975. We probably aren't telling Tramp fans anything new here. Anyway, a little over two years ago, we reissued the first of their two extremely hard to find 45-RPM singles ("Shake & Bake Pt. 1 & 2"). We also included a DJ-friendly edit of the song on "Movements Vol. 12." It is a must for us here at Tramp that we also reissue their second single, "Starflight Disco Pt. 1 & 2," soon!

So there you have it, 13 obscure but brilliant MODERN SOUL, DISCO and BOOGIE tunes of which all have not been compiled anywhere else. We sincerely hope you enjoy our guided tour back into the late 1970s and 80s Disco era.
