The HEX series explores the more clean side of the spectrum with a common denominator called acid influenced elements in all it's possible forms.

BPM, structure, form, styles can and will all be switched up held together by that wobbly origin called acid :)

The HEX series (based on the hexagons as you can see in the design) comes in a clear plastic outer sleeve with a big double-sided printed thick inlay card where the information about the record can be viewed. The records itself are all clear/silver mixed so every record is unique in its own way.

The first release by Prime features 4 different approaches to the genre ranging from trance influenced acid techno to electro and anything in between with the most RAW of the 4 tracks on the B1 which is dark and unwelcoming. The perfect opening record to start with broken beats going into a raw 4/4 frenzy later on.

Nootkatone, the slightly acid groove. A diva on the wire, a brass ensemble out of control and a surgical rhythm section. This team of young musicians hits the Parisian stage with this first EP completely self-produced. Recorded in the rules at Midilive Studio in Paris, the
musicians put forward a new jazz-funk that they call “the Katone”. Their music moves by its sincerity and subtlety. Doubtless, one of the brightest groups of the capital city of love.

Rising Irish star SHEE makes his debut on House of Disco with a diverse four tracker full of bright ideas, multiple genres and unquestionable talent.

On the A side ‘Our Love’ takes the first spot, an acid-laden deep house cut with enchanting vocal wanderings, before ‘Forgotten’ lets loose, a swirling saxophone disco house heater, shaken not stirred.

Flip it over to find ‘Jiraya’ bringing a touch of trance to proceedings, as arps upon arps suck you in. Finally, ‘Funk, Nah’ comes full circle unleashing the acid once again but this time with a more late night heads down tinge.

Jazz funk and gritty rare grooves ensemble from down under - Kerbside Collection - return with their third record "Smoke Signals"! Continuing in a down home, instrumental approach, but this time crafting newer ideas and flavours into their spectrum of warm, analogue, dusty grooves from much more Fender Rhodes electric jazz elements, to New Orleans sprinklings alongside their 60's inspired West Coast style.

"Smoke Signals" continues the wilder tones, textures and 'library' sounds of extra instrumentation found on their last output "Trash or Treasure", whilst introducing hints of fusion and cinematic analogue electric colours into the mix bringing things into early 70s territory. Opening with the lush, analogue synth and keys palate of "Waiting Game", reminiscent of some classic Air "Moon Safari" grooves, before the album properly begins with a fresh rendition of the Rhodes heavy Cedar Walton 70's jazz funk classic "Jacob's Ladder".

Then straight into the street-styled jazz bongo breaks and funky flute of "Traffic", a skankin' New Orleans reggae homage to one of its finest Creole dishes, featuring funky Hammond organ courtesy of guest Jake Mason (Cookin' on 3 Burners) and tasty piano work from multi instrumentalist Andrew Fincher who handles both guitar and keys on the whole record.

The middle of the record comes with a steaming afro funk workout, and a low slung N'awlins styled blues 'n' soul groove, both featuring the fruity, low-end brass action of Papa Jo on the big baritone sax, before taking a gentle emotional breather with a delightful, soft, soulful, Rhodes ballad, and a 'waltz-jazz-wig-out' attributed to their label's A&R Mr Mellow (reminiscent of some humorous UK acid jazz à la Corduroy and James Taylor Quartet) featuring some beautiful jazzy Flugelhorn, and acoustic double bass.

The album wraps up with another cover - a grittier reinterpretation and arrangement of a Bob James 80s jazz funk classic "Westchester Lady" complete with funky flute and soaring guitar solo, before finishing with the explosive rock funk workout and title track "Smoke Signals", rounding out a record with a full spectrum of handmade jazz funk, reggae, soul, library and gritty rare grooves all recorded to tape machine.

Here is Niall Power’s debut release on Psyko social records, a 5 track EP filled with all sorts of Detroit inspired techno and electro bangers with remixes from some amazing producers such as Lee Holman, Leafeater and Ikeaboy.

Niall Power’s Steel Reinforcement wears it’s classic era Techno and Electro on it’s sleeve. Born out of a cross of diverse backgrounds and disciplines, the Irish based DJ spicing up the current techno aesthetics by adding a pinch of acid, sprinkled with that extra touch of sleaze. Power’s ‘Spinal Fusion’ and ‘Kyphosi’, embodies the visceral secrets of sounds that work the dance floors. Heavily blessed with taste and cursed with extensive dj background. Vicious kicks and snares along with synth and pad elements conjure up a painkiller haze, woozing in and out of consciousness. Teaming up with three huge remixes from Lee Holman |DE|MAR|CATION| Leafeater StickyGround and Ikeaboy D1 Recordings this EP is a great weapon for any techno or electro dj.

For PSR, this is a really exciting first release as it shows they have an in-depth understanding of the modern techno zeitgeist with inspiration from the past to explore all flavours of the genre for the future.

Early support from the likes of Neil Landstrumm, Jamie Behan, Sunil Sharpe, Aubrey, Plural, Cáilin Power and Dave Clarke just to name a few.

Parisian "Geo Balasta" pulls an extra-lucid extra techno from the earth's surface that has allowed him to open for Salut C'est Cool. His unexpected productions, bordering on derision, constitute the DNA of an acidic shiver which finds its sources in Green Velvet, the Horrorist or Gigi d'Agostino and which will soon be released on the 'Johnkôôl Records' label.

Long-time collaborators, longer-time best friends, lifelong analog appreciators; the German duo Iron Curtis & Johannes Albert join cosmic forces once again for another LP mission 'Moon II', a heartfelt voyage through the sounds, movements, styles and machines that created this music in the first place.
Think late 80s New York, early 90s Sheffield and the perennial sounds of Italo and Detroit, 'Moon II' is a lunar safari that celebrates the deepest foundations of house, techno and electronic soul while resolutely refusing to get nostalgic. Written and recorded during an intense two-and-a-half month session in Berlin last autumn, there's a consistency and tangible narrative running throughout as the pair play inspiration ping-pong over the course of 10 tracks.
A little Drexcyian glacial nod here, a hazy Boards Of Canada wink there. The Other People Place, Kerrier District, Environ Records, the Hacienda, Sub Club, Heaven 17, classic electro… All these ingredients are constantly bubbling in the mix for both Curtis and Albert (as individuals and even more so as a duo) and the end result is an album that works as a proper album should. Peaks, troughs, dreamy departures and all beautiful things in between.
Taking off where their debut collaborative album 'Industrie & Zärtlichkeit' (soon to be retitled 'Moon I') left us three years ago, the opening modem sounds on the intro track 'Canggu Laundry Club' dial us into a special sense of time and space.

This 3rd of the Motordiscs opens with a slow and delighted beat by The JuanMacLean, which turns into an electro mesmerizing track. Is it slow trance or is it some kind of house ? Are we early in the night or late in the after party ? Are we still dreaming ? A2 « Mark 211 » by Javi Redondo takes the energy level up with some acidy synth and punchy snares, proving that the power of a track does not necessarily lies in its speed. It is now time to flip the disc, Naduve takes us later in the night, bringing a murky vibe, thanks to haunting pads and low frequency instruments, picturing a proper underground club. The sun now starts to rise on the Seine river, the last track sounds like an ode to the dawn, where voices and shiny synths will emerge and open the crowd’s eyes. It was « Peppi » by Fairmont. The next reference of INDUSTRIAS MEKANIKAS, comes again in V.A. format, a series of compilations under the name ANTIKHRIST VISIONS, which includes already consolidated artists of the scene, together with other more noble artists.

This new delivery, continues faithful to its spirit, and comes loaded with six tracks, full of darkness and forcefulness, which undoubtedly will shatter the dance floor of any club.

Rhythms loaded with broken bases, strong basses, acid lines and devilish atmospheres that invite imnotism. A balanced mix with styles ranging from Electro Techno, or, Industrial Techno to EBM passing the Electro.

Carving out an enviable reputation across the globe for his distinctive and highly personal brand of House music, Kiko Navarro's voyage of sonic discovery has been going strong for almost three decades now. From London to the Far East, Kiko has travelled far and wide with his music, embracing sounds from each continent as he goes. Kiko's new album, Afroterraneo- also named after his music label- defines the sound of his home. The album incorporates sounds touched by the Mediterranean Sea, drawing influences from Europe, Africa and his roots in the Balearic Islands. Afroterraneo is all about fusion. It includes Afro-Cuban songs like "Okere", "Karabali" and "Ekobio Monina", Midwest-African flavour on "Ihabogi Rawaly" and "Beréde", Flamenco with "La Fatiga", Balearic emotions with maestro Joan Bibiloni on "El Salto Del Martin" and "Vida", South African vibes on "Olwakhuthando", Afro Mbira lines with European TB303 acid blips on "Cacao Ceremony" and it all ends with his own tribute to his mother on "Para Mama". Born on Mallorca, Kiko's sound reflects the sun-drenched, slow living atmosphere of the Balearic island he still calls home. Obsessed from an early age with the more soulful side of US House music, Navarro's DJ skills soon attracted the attention of nightlife behemoth Pacha who offered him club residencies both in Palma and in Ibiza. Next came a monthly gig at Space Ibiza and the rest, as they say, is history. A true Renaissance Man; now also a family man, today's Kiko Navarro is perhaps even more focused and dedicated to his life in music than ever before. An album tour this year will see him play DJ sets in Italy, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, Japan, South Korea, China with many more to be confirmed. Whether in the studio crafting records or in the club controlling the dance-floor, Kiko's musical mission has become the habit of a lifetime.

On his third album as Trickfinger, John Frusciante makes the jump from Acid Test to its leftfield sub-label, Avenue 66, to unleash the full scope of his vision. On She Smiles Because She Presses The Button, the legendary, LA-based cult figure, presents his most diverse yet cohesive album to date.



Frusciante has the melodic and programming chops to jump from style to style while sounding only like himself. "Amb" is the welcome middle-ground between Balearic and IDM while "Brise” with its quick syncopations and rhythmic groove provide a contrasting fabric. Elsewhere, JF caroms through electro and pastoral, "intelligent" ambient. The common thread through this quixotic journey are his trademark, timeless melodies.



For years now, Frusciante has immersed himself in machines, learning tracker programs, synths and drum machines inside and out, applying the same, tireless approach he's exhibited throughout his career. On She Smiles Because She Presses The Button, this period of intense study leads intense creative liberation.

Our second release this year yet again explores the deep side genres of electronic music and deep house.
The man SMBD aka Simbad has been on our wish list for quite a while now and we are super delighted that It finally worked out to welcome him for a full release on our label after his contribution to the first Dampé Ep we did last year. After a string of releases on labels like Apron, Freerange and BBE there is not much introduction needed for this house veteran.
These five tracks range from soulful house to darker break beat material and ambient soundscapes. Especially the great title track “Purple Winds” is a beautiful emotional piece of music. The closing track “Man Madol” for us is very reminiscent to early Detroit electronic music. “Piano Lick” and “Glory” are packed with soul, funk, disco and basically just good times on the dancefloor while the moody and acid break beat excursion “ – 8 – “ is winding deeper and deeper and deeper …
Not much more needed to be said here, we will let the music speak and let you enjoy these excellent tunes!

"I’m extremely proud to present my new album “The Underground Tree” the first for over 10 years is out on 23rd May !

The title comes from a line in “Reserve the Right” – “We are family, I’ve got my possee and me, we’re fruit from the underground tree” the last track on the album, a rambling rap covering many subjects from climate change to data collection all written under the influence of a heavy hangover, where I foolishly decided it would be a good idea to get back on the mic. Also featuring on the album are Sim Simmer, Scallywag and Roberta Carrieri on vocals. From Bass House to Drum & Bass with a twist of Acid, Breakbeat, Ghetto, Garage and Swing, these 10 tracks are to be released on a double vinyl album available at the end of May. You can hear the megamix below.

The 7th release is a solo EP of Elad Magdasi, label owner and passionate raver.

Elad showcases four different tracks that share his core essence of groove and drive. Each track brings something different to the table. "Free Your Mind" is the trippy rumbly one. "Let's Go" will take you back to love parade times. "Teleport" will send you to space, and "Galactic Tools" is a total acid trip celebration.

Known for his grainy, analogue dance floor hits, Hungarian artist Norwell has returned with a powerful and transcendent 4-track EP, releasing through Fanzine Records. "In Between" EP is a drum-heavy, intricate series of grooves and soundscapes that draw the listener in from the beginning. While remaining faithful to the tendencies of techno, this record brings something of its own to the table in the form of acidic basslines and retro Kosmiche synth parts, resulting in a stunning array of textures.

"Eastern Echoes" is the opening track on this EP, and it deserves that spot. Combining an intense, Aphex-esque drum beat with hazy, dreamlike Middle Eastern inspired vox and pads, this track is a pumped-up monster of an introduction to the EP. This is immediately followed up with "Evaporate Yourself", a dark and brooding beat with a serpentine bassline that creeps its way through the track and combines with the lush, ethereal ebb and flow of the detuned synths and horror-themed vocals. This track is as cosmic as it is industrial, and sits on the fence between the two in a very unique way. "Model 244" on the other hand utilises a much more 70's modular sound reminiscent of early Kraftwerk hits adapted to the modern age. The track builds layers upon layers of left-field percussion that dance around the central arpeggiated bass in a very pleasing way, and Norwell doesn't leave out his signature glitchy, mechanical soundscapes, which give the track its glorious tension and release. The EP is rounded off with "Repetition Void", potentially the most experimental of the four tracks. Flanged hi-hats dance around the listeners ears and hazy analogue keys induce a hypnotic trance, exacerbated by the almost Papal choir vocals that fit seamlessly into the background.

As Norwell's first release through the Fanzine Label, this EP is dark, it is foreboding, and with the unexpected turns the rhythm takes, it doesn't care about your feelings. If you're ready to be punched in the face by this sci-fi horror listening experience, watch for the release of this EP, Fanzine latest addition to their roster of tasty electronic jams.

Jockstraps Mixtur aus harten Dubstep/Industrial-Beats, klassischer Komposition und verdrehten, zum Teil perversen Fantasy-Erzählungen begeisterte die Fachmedien (Dazed, Pitchfork, BBC 6Music, The Quietus, The Face, The Guardian) bereits bei ihrem Einstand, der digitalen "Love Is The Key To The City" EP (2018, Kaya Kaya Records), woraufhin es Lobeshymnen hagelte und Warp Records das Duo vom Fleck weg signte. Four peak time, dancefloor remixes of tracks housed on SIRS outstanding debut LP ‘Banana Hard & Disco Kisses’ from the likes of Austin Ato, Yam Who?, Danilo Braca and SIRS himself.

First up on remix duties, Scottish goldenboy Austin Ato takes the sunset funk stylings of ‘Nightwind’ and flips it into a club ready house bumper, fitting perfectly with Hava Izmailova’s dreamy vocals. Rework don and Midnight Riot head honcho Yam Who?, then gives the Stee Downes vocal number ‘Forever’ a first pumping disco makeover that’s got future anthem written all over it.

On the flip side SIRS offers up a new tribal interpretation of ‘Turkish Disco Folk’, doubling down on the Middle Eastern influences yet with a tougher rhythmic side that will spice up any set its slipped into. Finally, NYC-based Danilo Braca inserts an acid injection into ‘If I Can´t Have You’ alongside a dose of sultry strings, ready made to warp any dancefloors out there.

Coyu has a great time driving on rough roads. Techno paths where craft, not innovation, is the draw. The music on this 'Post Raw Era II' is relentless and has plenty of muscle.

This 3-tracker EP kicks off with 'Flangerism', tremendously vigorous and highly danceable. The mountainous excursion continues with hardly any time to catch your breath with 'Seeds of Hope', a composition of punchy multi-layered drum work, catchy synth lines and cutting acid.

Last but not least 'Always Wanting More' evoking long, dark tunnels as readily as mid-'90s hardcore vocal sounds.

As we travel further along the murky 2020 time-continuum we are pleased to deliver the next release for Pure Space Recordings. This time from one of Melbourne’s most acclaimed producers, Rings Around Saturn.

Rings Around Saturn delivers us with two club focussed tracks that skilfully toe the line between electro and bass music.

On the A-sde you will find ‘Grip’, a heavy hitter that’s weight comes from the deep sub-rhythms and hefty drum programming. The melodic, acid-infused arpeggios that fill the tracks body seemingly pull you further and further off the ground until finally the suspension is released through a glistening breakdown.

On the flip you will find ‘Subterranean Electro’, a track titled aptly to describe its heady electroism. Here deep bass is met with skittering pads, and tension fuelled melodies whilst a constant rhythm that feeds the tracks subterranean ecosystem. The gritty melody is fast and jittery keeping you on your toes whilst you complete your journey.

A1 was first played at Inner Varnika Festival 2019. B1 was included in Andy Garvey’s RA Podcast.

New imprint Jason, Jared & Brians’ Records delivers it's first offering with a release from Jared Wilson.

This record is dedicated to and influenced by Roland, Dinsync, Social Entropy Engine, and the Pacific Northwest. The three-tracks found on this EP are some of the first to come out of Jared’s new studio in Seattle. Refining and recommitting to a sound that reaches into the past and future with hints of acid, house, and techno while at the same time not being confined by any theme or style.

“My Love Will Set You Free” Final release? We see the question mark popping up over your head. Well yes, these four tracks are a time capsule, a historic cache which takes you back to one hot summer of 2019. When this care-free boy band formed and made it their goal to climb up the world’s stages to play an all-hardware live set & have f.u.n. while doing so. This endeavor went swimmingly. Festival gigs were pocketed and crowds intrigued. The stand-out track of their gigs was always “My Love Will Set You Free”, an acid-house stomper with uplifting, yet melancholic vocals from their friend ÆN.
Friends and neighbors were quick to re-interpret the song and the idea of a record took shape.
Lehult’s Lucky Charmz propels the listener into the void by upping the acidity. Closing in on a playtime of 10 minutes, we’re readily giving up our sense for time and space. Whirring drum hits meet feedbacking tape delay while riding the rock solid bass line.
Erobique liked the song so much, he quickly drew up two versions of his own. His “Disko Mix” oozes that saccharine, danceable magic mélange of days past. Warm keys, hand claps, and Aen’s intimate voice are stirred into an exquisite cocktail. You know that Carsten Meyer would never forget the umbrella on top. He’ll keep the cherry though.
The “Black Velvet Mix” closes the curtains for a slow dance. This is personal, it’s just between you and the song. Sub rosa.
In the meantime, Volker.live decided to follow separate paths of their adventure, but everyone agreed to release these songs into the world. May they serve as a reminder of what can be created out of care-free energy that’s driven by a deep connection to music. Part inspired by the prose of his favourite author James Baldwin, South Brooklyn's Korre 's experience of being a black man in America forms an integral part of his work, even if it's largely instrumental. "I always make sure my music has elements of pain, beauty, and darkness," says Korre in his bio. That vibe is certainly felt across his stunning debut EP for Utrecht's 030303 Records. 'End of Time' is a deep, dystopian piece of club music, as much suited for the floor as it is for the introverted mind. With virtually no intro, the listener gets sucked into the intenseness of the track right away. 'Crimson' is equally dark, filled with spooky vocal snippets and washed out acid sounds. 'Don't Wanna Wait' is a heartfelt ambient spacer, not unlike the eeriest work of Burial. 'Silver Exo' then is probably the best track on the record even if it's hard to pick a favourite. Korr? slowly brings the dancefloor back with this beautifully crafted builder, again filled with abstract vocal snippets. Closing this beast of a debut record is 'St Blues', consisting of a male monologue, captivating droney melodies and acid bubbles in the background. It's the conclusion of the first chapter by this artist we will no doubt hear more of in the future.

After releasing their critically acclaimed debut LP “NOW” just last September, The people at Malka Tuti felt it was the time to continue pushing the name SHARI VARI to new realms & territories... A Remix Pack was born. For the remix pack, Malka Tuti chose a few close friends of the family to give new life and new interpre- tations to the now “instant classic” songs by the Hamburg duo.... The Ep begins with Fantastic Twins’s mid tempo, Coil inspired, break-beat groove, slowly building up in emotion with warm pads and 90’s vibe acid lines to- wards an epic catharsis. Benedikt Frey takes it from there, remixing a personal favourite - New York City, turning it into a dark trip- hop inspired journey, cleaning those distinct vocals, echoing Beth Gibbons’s smokey high tones.... On the B-side we find Black Merlin’s 11 minute trippy mid tempo dance floor banger. Cuts and slices from the original vocals of the song Dance Alone, laid carefully on top of a repetitive modular bass line, and sprinkled on top - those out-worldly sounds and FX that makes the track simply HUGE. Last but not least, Düsseldorf’s very own Lucas Croon’s Dub Version, released digitally last year, final- ly sees its day on wax. 90’s Break beat beats, gated vocals and everything else that takes to make a dance floor hit the roof.

Premisession’ pays homage to the pivotal but now defunct Minneapolis warehouse venue “Premises,” of which Craig Lambert aka Midnight Music Club founded, and where Kajunga hosted their rst ever all night party. The EP showcases MMC’s hardware uency with a lavish cruise through mesmerizing grooves and pronounced warmth.

Calling Card creates a welcome invitation to the record with sensual synth lines, paired with the drive of undulating tom rhythms. A New Day evokes the feeling of an acid soirée. Rich emotion and improvisational elegance resonate throughout the track.

Five A.M. starts the B-side off with spring-time air; blooming into a Sunday morning daydream. Private Guy seals the deal by providing a more moody take on A New Day, with melodies weaving through playful percussion.

Midnight Music Club has been collecting records for over 40 years, sharing them passionately for nearly 30 and studying music production for 20. This live artist’s timeless yet distinctly old school sound is reminiscent of early Chicago and Detroit pioneers, with a blend of deep house and techno that is uniquely his own.

He has released on Chicago’s Descendants of the Deep label, as well as Headphoniq and his own self titled outlet. His ‘Premisession’ EP is an ode to the pivotal but now defunct Minneapolis warehouse venue Premises, which he himself founded and which hosted Kajunga’s rst- ever all-night party.

KAJUNGA is a record label, party series and monthly mix series formed in 2015; the result of four Minneapolis artists’ shared love for thoughtful music and unadulterated dance floor experience.

Romaal Kultan first caught the attention of listeners with his warm and heavily syncopated contribution to Touching Bass' Afro Chronicles: Volume One compilation back in 2017. Since then, the south London based artist has gone on to remix tracks for the likes of Chicago legend Javonntte and Profusion (K15 and Emerson), as well as releasing a debut solo offering in the form of last year's Off Grid EP on YAM Records. Not allowing himself to be confined to the usual "DJ/Producer" tag, his creative output also encapsulates his endeavours as a visual artist, instrumentalist and vocalist. While his DJ sets draw heavily on fierce bottom end and diced breaks, his own compositions range from frenetic club heaters to lilting breezy lullabies.

Having already received early support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Bradley Zero and Volcov, Everlasting Romance kicks off with 'Step Inside', a driving acid march delicately accentuated with supple synth chords and a lilting digi-flute. Romaal Kultan keeps the focus on the floor with 'Why Not?', a heavily swung dusty piano house number with a fat sub and a sprinkling of vocal chops throughout. Closing out the EP is the title track, 'Everlasting Romance'. Dropping the tempo considerably, a loose dembow rhythm powers heartwarming chords and skygazing synth fills.

The flip opens with an aerian sound, clouds of infectious gaz witch turns more and more threatening till it double-kick ! The Advent (Cisco Ferreira) delivers his first full-length Electro album in 17 years. Released this May on Sync 24's burgeoning Cultivated Electronics label, 'Life Cycles' finds the past meeting the future. Because, to get a truer feel for this new long-player, we should head back even further to a 1995 classic - The Advent's debut album, 'Elements Of Life'. In fact, fans will recognise a nod to the original artwork of that seminal release, as 'Life Cycles' takes us full circle, containing unreleased Electro gems from the '90s, available for the first time.

"I have been making electro music for nearly 3 decades now and excited to see that it is in demand with this new wave of talented producers out there. 'Life Cycles' is an album where I explore my older past and connect with the future, 2020 and this new electro generation," says Cisco. Ever since Cisco Ferreira discovered Acid House in the London clubs he frequented, his journey has been about making his mark on the electronic music scene.

Fresh from college he landed a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios where he learned the art of translating feelings to frequencies, recording high profile artists from the world of Rock, Pop, Dance and Reggae. When acid label, Jack Trax moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jefferson and Derrick May.

These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his first EPs on R&S and Fragile. By 1994 Ferreira had signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno.

They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G (the alias Colin still uses today). Nowadays The Advent is a solo project for Cisco as he bombards crowds around the world with his trademark raw, energetic sound.

As much as The Advent is known for uncompromising Techno, so his Electro has been a huge influence for a lot of young Electro artists today (including his own son and sometime Electro collaborator, Zein) and when you listen to 'Life Cycles' you'll understand why. From the moment the beats kick in on track 1, 'Music Is Life' we're met with full on Advent power. The album explores classic old-school Electro vibes from the tough machine funk of tracks like 'This Is Not' and 'Vast' to the acid excursions on 'Panda', via some the ghetto boogie of 'L.U.' or 'Stasis V2'. And lest we forget what an amazing live performer The Advent is, there's even the deeply hypnotic 'Live@Motor 1998'.

Zodiak Commune Records presents the sixth and last release of the White Cyclus series: Called ZC-KORE003 - White Cyclus VI EP. This time Zodiak Commune Records zooms in on Italian producer Acidevice. He started out in 2012, since 2016 as Acidevice. His style is a mix of Acid Techno, Hardcore Techno and lo-fi elements. All content is produced by Acidevice. For the third track he joined forces with JM23, a close friend from Spain.

New imprint Ernest’s Way delivers its first offering with a debut release from Australian based artist Featherstone! The A-Side of this four-track EP offers two highly effective dancefloor cuts that ride the line between many diverse influences of electronic music ranging from acidic electro to the early roots of techno.
The B-Side follows up with two deeper, heavily emotive tracks that drift into an uplifting, euphoric and dreamy atmosphere whilst remaining complimentary to the driving rhythms that open the EP.

Kicking off the new decade, Control Freak co-founder Customer Service makes his production debut with five tracks of adventurous outsider electronics.

On the A-side, ‘Dance First, Think Later’ is a bass-heavy dancefloor destroyer guaranteed to send the club west. It's followed with the ethereal sound design and off-kilter rhythms of ‘Recalcitrance’.

On the flip, ‘Betty’s Audition’ takes the pace down a notch with rolling, hypnotic drum programming and plenty of low end punch, whilst ‘B1SM’ deploys a skeletal breakbeat - one for the early hours. Rounding things off, ‘Exquisite Corpse’ locks into a rigid 4/4 groove combining acid with delicate, textured pads.

Control Freak Recordings is the sister label of London-based party Cabin Fever. They are next at The Cause on 20th March with Inga Mauer and Dark Entries. In April they head to Corsica Studios with Anthony Linell and Barker.

To celebrate 25 years of the legendary series, KEMISTRY & STORM DJ-Kicks is re-mastered and re-issued for the first time since it's original release in 1999 on CD and 2LP. It all began in the late 80s: KEMISTRY & STORM had had enough of their hometown in middle England and moved down to London. Until then, Birmingham-born Kemistry had spent most of her tender years studying as a make-up artist in Sheffield while Storm was studying radiology in Oxford. The pair discovered acid house in London, partied at illegal warehouse raves, and at the end of the 80s stumbled upon 'Rage', Fabio and Grooverider's legendary and influential club night at Heaven, which can be legitimately dubbed as the origin of the entire Breakbeat / Jungle / Hardcore / Drum 'n' Bass movement. This is where they decided to dedicate their future entirely to music - as DJs.

A triumphant return to old form after classic bangers like PROTOTYPE (KOMPAKT 92), FREQUENCY (KOMPAKT 102) or MAXIMIZE (KOMPAKT 145), but also a bold step in a new sonic direction: Kompakt ally REX THE DOG presents his latest offering SICKO - a brand new 12" packed with two incorruptible rabble-rousers that hit the floor right behind the ears, employing sharply focussed thrust and dramatic sweeps to stunning effect.

Having started out with just one synth in 2004 -

the same vintage Korg 700S that was used by Mute Records founder Daniel Miller for his legendary "Warm Leatherette" outing -, REX THE DOG knows perfectly well how to squeeze the most out of a limited set of sounds. A growing intimacy with analog gear finally lead the producer to design and build his very own array of modular synthesizer components, including a sampler fittingly called RTD-001.

Armed with this barn-storming DIY attitude, and using gear he made with his own hands, Rex pulls two strikingly muscular rabbits out of his hat: the A-side's title cut SICKO is a raw, pounding cut-up fest that builds a scary amount of tension just with a few distinct elements, while the flipside's KORGASMOTRON loads up its bleep-ridden

chassis with a succulent, sweeping vocal and some well-placed acid drops. Both tracks showcase a leaner, cleaner, but also meaner approach to dance music, making this a particularly thrilling entry in REX THE DOG's oeuvre.
