Belgian sitar player Nicolas Mortelmans will release his second album, titled "SPACE". For these recordings, he went into the studio with Roland van Campenhout, Stef Kamil Carlens, Tim Vanhamel and Simon Segers. The result of this encounter is a raw and honest record in which all the music is improvised. With this album, Nicolas returns to his roots and experiments with psychedelic rock, ambient, funk, and jazz. Expect an intense meditative and explosive listening experience.

'In de verte, dit uitzicht’ is Abel Ghekiere's second album. It is a celebration of beauty and sudden bursts of euphoria and melancholy, hidden in the distinctive soft and fragile sound of Ghekiere's music. Much more personal than on his debut record, he calls out to the world.

Working with voice samples and field recordings, voice and improvisation take centre stage. Sounds from outside are subtly interwoven with instruments, while conversations and memories act as a thread running through the compositions. The music flows into the room, bringing with it remembered places and voices.

The music was recorded very nomadically, in different places, with different people. Most of the parts were written and played by Abel Ghekiere himself but with guest contributions from Vitja Pauwels, Nicolas Rombauts, Leo Adamov, & Jan de Vroede, among others, the record breaks open into a soft sound palette.

‘Morsen Met Mensen’
Het kwartet bestaande uit Jef Mercelis, Teuk Henri, Frank Pay en Jan Ducheyne spelen nu al meerdan zes jaar samen. En dat is er aan te horen als ze op een podium staan. De gitaren van Teuk Henri klinken helemaal in evenwicht met de zoemende Korg van Jef Mercelis, die er dan nog eens zijn gouden stem bovenop gooit als het even past. Frank Pay zorgt dat alles strak en los tegelijk zit met drums en percussie en welgemikte achtergrondzang.
Jan Ducheyne kan als geen ander zijn teksten in de nu eens voortstormende, dan weer langzaam
kabbelende muziek van Noodzakelijk Kwaad leggen. Improvisatie is nooit ver weg eens dit viertal het podium bestijgt.
Wat niet wil zeggen dat ze geen songs schrijven. ‘De Wind’, ‘Morsen Met Mensen’, ‘Wilde Bloemen’, ‘Kabine’ het is maar een greep uit de vijftien nummers die op de dubbelplaat staan.
De plaat is opgenomen bij de wizzard Pascal Deweze in Studio Jezus in Hoboken.
Het hoesontwerp is van de handen van Jirka De Preter en Emma Ducheyne.

Together they have been working on different projects over the past years which saw them release albums & 12's on Pulver Records, DEEP MEDi Musik, Lovemonk Rec, Compost Records etc. They also created the soundtrack to Akala's novel "The Ruins Of Empires" together with Mala and directed by Andy Serkis which aired on BBC TWO.

Coming from different interests/styles it's only natural to bring these vibes all together to create their own style and that's how this LP sounds.

Ask the members of Borokov Borokov to say something about their new album De Verkeerde Fout (The Wrong Mistake), and they will answer you that it is the best record they have ever made. And then something about sliced white bread or dry shampoo. No, you don't get much wiser when the trio has to interpret or analyze themselves and their unconventional, asymmetrically bouncing synthpop.

With “The Giggle Gallery” musical performance duo Brik Tu-Tok takes you on a surreal trip to an obscure giggle theatre of the 21 century. It’s an delicous muddle full of sophistated and sparkling weird pop songs, all baptized in absurdity. The soul of the album lies in its poetic lyrics and cryptic storytelling. Brik Tu-Tok's imagery is a combination of pleasantly derailed thoughts and offbeat fantasy. Brik Tu-Tok is the musical library of theatre makers Maxim Storms and Linde Carrijn. Together they mould the theatrical with the musical into a new absurd universe, where eccentric characters sing out their souls. With voor het verdwijnt, en daarna, the Belgian multi-instrumentalist Abel Ghekiere introduces his unique sound, which stems from merging modern jazz, traditional folk and field recordings.Through classical arrangements and a cinematic approach to composition, Ghekiere tells a story of grief and the search for solace in 8 songs.
