He initially invited them to compose the film's music, and the group began recording cues. But the producers at New World Pictures ultimately rejected the material in favor of a more traditional approach, bringing in Christopher Young, whose final score remains excellent, if less experimental. What remains from Coil is an unfinished soundtrack with surviving fragments and rough ideas, abruptly left behind mid-process, a glimpse into an alternate Hellraiser movie, one we can only fantasize into existence.

Nonverbal Language is back with its second vinyl release, 'Hellraiser EP' by CVRDWELL. It includes two original tracks by him and two remixes by the Italian groove master, Alarico, known for fast-paced rhythms and kinky grooves, and the always unpredictable, Swedish Peder Mannerfelt, who is "always rooted in the kinetic energy of techno even as it seeks to break down the genre's rigid, illusory formulae."

"This 10" single reissue comes in celebration of the upcoming 30th anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne's 'No More Tears'. A new mashup sure to inspire only the best moshpitting and hair-flicking skills from every true hard rock head, this new track hears a the original Ozzy song mashed up with Motorhread's version. Never before released, it sounds like an alternate Dante eagerly cruising through the many layers of hell, as new drum reversings, stereo effects and soundscapes are peppered into this masterful musical jigsaw. The B-side also contains the two original, unremixed versions.

Bjarki’s bbbbbb records welcomes its first-ever non-electronic project as Icelandic rock band Skrattar joins the label to unveil their thirteen-track album, ‘Hellraiser IV’.

Four-piece outfit Skrattar can be described as cigarette rock with an electronic vibe that makes your upper lip sweat. Having already developed a loyal fanbase in Iceland as a powerful live act with an energetic and provocative stage presence, the band now look further afield to global horizons as they reveal their latest album, ‘Hellraiser IV’.

With the release of ‘Hellraiser IV’, bbbbbb broadens its catalogue beyond dance and electronic music. While the label’s primary focus will remain electronic, several other genres will also feature - the connecting factor being that the music is Icelandic, experimental and fresh... the best that grassroots has to offer.

‘Hellraiser IV’ contains thirteen tracks written over three years, with the oldest songs composed the year the band was founded, 2016. In 2019, when a good foundation for an LP had been laid as the band gained followers and honed its sound, they locked themselves in the studio until they completed the album. With many of the tracks composed in the dead of night, containing both lyrics written over a long period as well as improvisation, the final product is a record made by them from A to Z, in line with the band’s endearing DIY ethos.

‘Skrattar’ is Icelandic for a specific type of demon that you can’t control, but in Swedish, it means ‘to laugh’ - with laughter involved across many of the tracks on ‘Hellraiser IV’ as if to mock the dualism of seriousness. Their subject matter is chaos and anarchism - but their humour and satire are never far away. The music is an ode to the eternal void, while at the same time laughing in its face.

In addition, a remix album will be released digitally alongside Hellraiser IV, reimagined and reworked by a host of fellow musicians, producers, and artists. Among them, label regular Kuldaboli, bbbbbb boss Bjarki, DJ Flugvél og Geimskip, russian.girls, KGB and Anton Newcombe - the founder of The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The album went on to become quadruple platinum in the US, becoming one of Ozzy’s two best selling albums alongside his groundbreaking solo debut "Blizzard of Ozz". In 2019, SWEET embarked on the biggest tour of their long career to date with the ‘Still Got The Rock’ tour in Europe and the UK. In between, they even found time to fly to Australia to play as co-headliners on the ‘Rock The Boat Cruise 2019’. The band was fired up and looking forward to the future. But suddenly in 2020, the whole world was in turmoil, triggered by a global pandemic and all wheels came to a standstill overnight. But for Sweet, there had to be a way out, otherwise musical creativity in all its forms would be lost forever. So, in what was a new isolation for everyone, they began to produce a Sweet album with the ‘new’ guys Paul Manzi and Lee Small and the ‘old guard’ Andy Scott and Bruce Bislan. The album was given the title ‘Isolation Boulevard’ to suit the situation. The songs are re-recordings of 12 classics from Sweet's extensive collection. There was little time between the lockdowns in the UK to achieve the desired goal. On top of this, there were numerous technical obstacles that had to be overcome. With this in mind, the overall performance of everyone involved is all the more impressive, from the driving drums and bass to the ‘in your face’ guitars and stratospheric vocals. In the end, it was a pleasure for everyone to record ‘Isolation Boulevard’, despite being under very strict distancing rules. The result speaks for itself. The album will now be released as a Ltd. Edition Neon Yellow Vinyl.

"Vicious Rumors are an American power metal band, originally formed in 1979 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The band was conceived by founder and guitarist/vocalist Geoff Thorpe, and has been actively recording and touring worldwide since their full-length recording debut in 1985. Their first Atlantic release was the self-titled Vicious Rumors in 1990. One of the finest moments in their lengthy career. At times sounding like hybrid of Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate on vocals with Judas Priest as a backing band. The band subsequently began their first full US tour—which lasted for over three months and shot their first official video, ""Don't Wait for Me"", directed by Gore Verbinski. This tour was quickly placed in rotation on MTV's Headbangers Ball. Die-hard fans will celebrate this reissue, and those who missed the boat the first time will be well-served in taking this for a spin.

Obwohl das Album unter schwierigen Bedingungen entstand, war es am Ende für alle Beteiligten ein Vergnügen "Isolation Boulevard" einzuspielen. Das Resultat spricht für sich selbst.

Interpretationen und Phantasie. Die bekannte Filmfigur aus „Hellraiser“ gilt für manche als Inkarnation des Bösen, anderen erscheint sie als
Heilsbringer. Für Lappin wurde sie zur Identifikationsfigur bei der Realisierung seiner musikalischen Ideen, vor allem aber bei der gnadenlosen
Auseinandersetzung mit dem schönen und schrecklichen Prozess der menschlichen Individuation – insbesondere seiner eigenen. Ein Sinnbild. Für die Aufspaltung des Selbst, welches vor den Schaudergottheiten bestehen muss. Für das Wettrennen mit dem eigenen Schatten um den ersehnten

Seit der Veröffentlichung ihrer 2020 erschienenen Single "Cleansed Existence" werden die Industrial-Metalcore-Hellraisers HERIOT aus Bristol von Künstlern, Journalisten und Fans gleichermaßen als die nächste Hoffnung für extreme Musik gehandelt. "Devoured by the Mouth of Hell" verdoppelt nicht nur die erdrückende Klaustrophobie von HERIOTs früherem Material - es enthält auch Ideen, die sie zuvor nicht angerührt haben. Die Opener "Foul Void" und "Harm Sequence" beweisen das mit einem schwindelerregenden Doppelschlag, wobei der erste Song ein Kraftwerk des Grooves mit melodischen Anklängen ist, während der zweite ein Metalcore-Amoklauf mit Vollgas ist. In anderen Stücken wie "Opaline" und "Visage" werden die Ambient-Töne, die HERIOT zuvor nur angedeutet hatten, zu kompletten Songs verarbeitet. Die Band klingt immer noch so roh und direkt wie eh und je, doch es gibt eine Verfeinerung, die nur von ihrem schieren Drang kommen kann, etwas zu erschaffen, das dem ganzen Hype um sie herum würdig ist. Die ikonischen Heavy Metaller ARMORED SAINT werden ihre Alben "Revelation" und "La Raza" am 16. August über Metal Blade Records auf Vinyl neu veröffentlichen. "Revelation" ist das fünfte Studioalbum der Band, das ursprünglich im Jahr 2000 auf Metal Blade Records erschien und nun auf Vinyl erhältlich ist. Der Song "The Pillar" wurde ursprünglich für den Horrorfilm Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth von 1992 geschrieben, in dem die Band einen Cameo-Auftritt als Bar-Band hat, die den Song "Hanging Judge" im Boiler Room Club spielt.

Buzz Fuzz, a.k.a. Mark Vos, is considered one of the most prominent DJs and producers in the international hardcore scene for over 30 years. He started his deejay career in 1987, mixing hiphop and swingbeat at the Zorba in Amsterdam. In 1991, he became inspired by a live performance of The Prophet and decided to focus solely on hardcore house. Within a few years, Buzz Fuzz became a headliner on festivals like Hellraiser, Thunderdome, Dance Valley and Multigroove.

Together with DJ Dano, The Prophet and DJ Gizmo he formed the infamous “Dreamteam”, and in both 1997 and 1998 he was named
‘Best Hardcore/House Producer.

A selection of his best tunes, including “XTC Love” and “Jealousy Is A MF”, are compiled on the album Hardcore Legends, which is part of the brand-new series by Be Yourself Music, focusing on groundbreaking and essential artists in the Hardcore scene. The album features the brand-new remix of “XTC Love” by Dither, which was presented during Dither’s DJ set at Thunderdome 2022 in Utrecht (NL).

Emerging from the cold echoes of Reykjavík's underground music scene, ex.girls, previously known as Russian Girls, chart an inspiring journey from inception to international recognition. Founded in 2017 as a personal venture by Guðlaugur Einarsson, the act soon evolved into a vibrant, collaborative platform for kindred spirits bonded by an unyielding passion for music.

The project consists of three: frontman Tatjana Dís on vocals, alongside Guðlaugur Einarsson and Gylfi Sigurðsson. Their kinship took root at their erstwhile studio on Skúlagata in Reykjavík, where this creative sanctum became a melting pot of musical exploration, learning, and leisurely hangouts. Guðlaugur and Tantjana also ride the waves as members of the rock band Skrattar, whose album 'Hellraiser IV' saw Bjarki's experimental bbbbbb recors imprint venture outside strictly electronic music for the first time in 2021.

Despite their penchant for maintaining an enigmatic aura, ex.girls won the ‘Best Icelandic Electronic Music Song’ in 2022 with their anthem, 'Halda Áfram', released during the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic on bbbbbb recors, which translates to “keep on going”, became a beacon of hope during tough times in the Icelandic music scene. Their distinctive sound palette paints with broad strokes of lush arrangements cemented with a lo-fi disposition. It's a soundscape where the rumble of a crunchy bass meets a quirky sprinkle of Nordic humour, a signature style they fondly dub as 'SauerLounge'.

While the group has traditionally embraced a leisurely cadence in unveiling new music, anticipation bubbles as they gear up to their debut album, ‘Verk’. A twelve-track exploration of experimental, conceptual and unorthodox textures and sonics, with sounds and influences spanning rock and nu-wave through to electro, drone and ambient. The result? An absorbing and hypnotic trip, with twists and turns across every track, presenting a debut album that keeps you guessing minute by minute.

To be released in both vinyl and digital formats, the album will also welcome engaging remixes from artists native to Iceland and the broader global stage. In a world of ever-evolving music, ex.girls stand out as a testament to authentic collaboration, raw talent, and the art of electronic storytelling.

S. O. R. M sind ein Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Act aus Lidkoping, Schweden. Kurz nach der Bandgründung veröffentlichte S. O. R. M die herausragende "Hellraiser EP" und führte die Band mit der hookgeladenen Lead-Single und dem Videoclip "Gypsy Queen" der Welt vor. S. O. R. Yung Lean releases his new album Starz via YEAR0001. The album is Lean’s seventh full-length following 2018’s Poison Ivy and includes previously released singles “Boylife in EU,” “Violence,” and “Pikachu.” Much like Lean’s overall catalog, the new album feels almost impossibly cohesive. In part, that’s thanks to production entirely from longtime collaborator whitearmor - they kept the sessions intimate and secluded, recording partly in an old ballet hall in the Swedish countryside. But this is an album only Lean could make, as a young veteran, with a sound and career that’s well-entrenched globally but still doggedly, even perplexingly, on its own planet.

It's no understatement that London Grammar's forthcoming album is one of the most highly anticipated debuts this year. Confirmed for release on September 9, the album is a result of 18 painstaking months spent writing and recording. Each of the 11 tracks is testament to the trio's innate understanding of the roles that subtlety, contrast and restraint have played in the creation of memorable, timeless and transcendent music. 'That's how this all started,' says Dan, 'and it's always been our primary goal, to keep space in the music. The way that, say, the guitar and vocal interact is massively important to us.'

Drafting in Roc Nation's KD (Outkast, Beyoncé, Jay-Z) to mix the album, with Grammy-winning Tom Coyne (Adele's 21), joining them to master.
Tracks like If You Wait and Flickers possess that strange duality of lament and defiance, filled with textures, colours, shadings and interjections that are subtle yet deliver devastating power. The next single, Strong, out on September 1 is the final, killer blow. Building - as you would expect from London Grammar - from nothing, from the barest of bones, Hannah's soaring vocals propels the song to its crashing climax.

Continuing to deliver Sounds From The Void, XVI Records are proud to welcome London based Producer Delonte Rivers back to the label, with his brand new EP ‘Delonte In Dub’ Having previously released his ‘Midnight Congas’ EP back in 2018 (as well as a slew of edits and releases with Banana Hill, Love Above Recordings and more) Delonte now channels an elevated state of consciousness into a new dubbed out, subterranean sonic offering.

Returning with the galvanising track ‘Rise Again’, Delonte enlists the vocals of Sir Moon (also the voice of local hellraisers Muckspreader) giving a furious manifesto on the state of the union. Psyched out guitar stabs reverberate ripple across a turbulent sea of low end frequencies, as a rock-steady rhythm section holds the line. ‘Dub Again’ unsurprisingly strips back the original into a state of ethereal and reverb soaked hypnosis. ‘Cosmic Frequencies’ bring a cosmic slice of bass weight, whilst ‘One For Road’ injects a surreal, eerie atmosphere into the proceedings. This record is one for a hazed-summer in a strange dystopian world.

Based on a short-story by the master of horror and fantasy, author Clive Barker (Hellraiser), Rawhead Rex is set in 1980’s rural Ireland. The Demon, alive for millennia and trapped in the depths of hell, is unleashed on the sleepy local farming community. Remembered faintly through pre-Christian myth, the only one that can stop Rawhead's bloody rampage is the historian, desperately racing against the time.
This is the first ever release for the soundtrack by Colin Towns, one of Europe’s most prolific film, television and theatre composers, but also a pianist, songwriter, arranger, producer and collaborator, known for The Puppet Masters, Space Trackers, Maybe Baby, Foyle’s War, Doc Martin, Pie In The Sky.
"The first film I scored was Full Circle which starred Mia Farrow and is still in the BFI top ten for best score for horrorfilms. I felt that film was more of a dark scary mystery. Rawhead Rex on the other hand was clearly a horror film 100%. I visited the film set in Ireland during the filming to take in the atmosphere and meet the actors after which I decided to record the music at CTS in London with a sixty piece orchestra plus electronics. I have always orchestrated my own work and had a wild time with Rawhead which is what I really love doing". Colin Towns

It is truly a family affair over at 7 Days Entertainment. Butterbandz, the youngest son of 7 Days Entertainment label head Big Strick, gives us his debut EP titled Legacy. This freshman EP of the youngest of the Strickland clan is nothing short of what you would expect from a family member deeply rooted in dance music from Detroit. The first song off of the EP is a vocal track from BBZ with help from the artist Marc, who is a rising vocal talent from Detroit associated with the 7 Days imprint. If You Don’t Dance is slated to be an anthem among the scene for years to come. It evokes you to get out there and move your body. It brings the energy from start to finish with excited high hats, a grumpy bass and an admirable synth pattern. Things slow down for a more relaxed groove on Free Roaming, a laid back chiller with a smooth synth and a mellow bass of pure delight. Its reverbed synths take you on a never-ending journey through your own mind. Hellraiser is a straight high-octane pure adrenaline rush. It has the soul of true Detroit techno. The unforgiving drum and percussion pattern shines brightly over an acid bass line and catchy synth keys. The last song on the debut EP, Monkey See, closes the project out with a bang. An offset drum knocks on top of an offset synth and warm pianos. The flute is complementary and the percussion ties it all together nicely. The 2nd HOMOAGENT EP 'We Are Here To Ruin Your Life' continues the exploration of this city's various basements. A fictional work of excess, doused in amyl and fuelled by the Trve Basque Speed, greased gloved strangers in decaying mansions meets Hellraiser but in real. Triames & Maiovvi return to Instruments Of Discipline with four new productions of their trademark glassed out, hi-fi night fantasies where sweat and leather meet 18 or more consenting adults.

Rogue Vogue has been making a name for himself as a producer worth keeping an eye on with releases on French Express and remixes on Deep&Disco & French Horn Rebellion. He's finally ready to release his next original EP titled 'Say You Will' on his new home at House of Disco Records.

'Say You Will' includes 2 originals that brim with the joyous side of 90's house backed up with 3 remixes from Dublin Aunts, LeSale and House of Disco's Sixth Avenue Express. The originals are in keeping with each other while each of the 3 remixes bring something new to the table.

First up is the title track, 'Say You Will' which is a hip swaying homage to the sunny side of 90's house with more hooks than a 'Hellraiser' film. Addictive vocal stabs and sax hits are the name of the game as this one will have you digging in your drawer for those stonewashed jeans you'd forgotten about.

The first of the remixes by Dublin Aunts has a day rave written all over it with an epic acid tinged bassline and clever vocal treatments. The second remix by LeSale takes a slower, sexier tip and just grows and grows, leaning heavily on the keys but also introducing some strings into the equation.

Next up is the second original 'More Than Enough' which samples a vocal that many will recognise and makes it his own. A lot of this originals charm is in the lower end and will come to life on the right system. A dreamy breakdown cements this as a track that you'll keep coming back to.

Finally the last remix of the package by Sixth Avenue Express ads a heavy dose of sleaze to the original with a swinging melody line. Choosing to do away with the dreamy breakdown and instead replace it with an dramatic, elongated and memorable dancefloor moment.
