DNA Records is proud to present a Cambodian reggae 7” release to showcase some of the talent from this wonderful country and the power that Jamaican music has around the globe.

DUB ADDICTION - Founded in the tropical heat of Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh in 2011 by Sebastien Adnot and Jan Mueller (AKA Professor Kinski), Dub Addiction features a combination of
Cambodian, French, German and Nigerian members. They quickly captured the hearts of local Cambodians and Western expats in a beat.

Cambodian national and vocalist, toaster DJ Khla, is a political activist and is now living in exile in Europe after having fled his country because of military pressure on him and his family. He was able
to escape Cambodia while on tour with Dub Addiction in Denmark.
Their fusion of reggae combined with traditional Cambodian instruments like tro (violin), chapey (traditional Cambodian string instrument) and Roneat (xylophone), along with the toasting of
Cambodian vocalists DJ Khla (Nhem Palla), MC Curly (Kosal Dang) and a variety of traditional female vocalists and international MCs creates a very unique blend.

After all, though South-East Asia and The Caribbean might be far apart on the map, they both get light from one sun.
VIBRATONE - Also a multinational reggae band with members from Cambodia, France, The Philippines, and Brazil, Vibratone formed in Phnom Penh in 2013 with one aim: No cover songs, strictly original creations. With insightful lyrics, they embracing true roots to new roots reggae…with a touch of blues and soul thrown inna di mix! Text edited by Brian Offenther.

These DJ DSK edit instrumentals were pressed up after many requests from DJs who wanted them, they can be used with the vocal versions, create new mash ups or just played as a track in their own right. It is also a great bonus that some of the original tracks do not even have instrumentals available.

DJ DSK is back with more dancefloor goodness, DNA Edits vol 6. The A side is an edit of Patrice Rushen's 80s R&B classic remind me. The flip side is a funky house/disco edit of Funkadelic’s Knee Deep, both are DJ friendly remixed from the stems with intros/outros big sound and banging beats.

Side A is a groovy mid-tempo funk track, with a nice drum break, it throws back to the classic 70s soul & funk 45s collected by hip-hop/funk DJs and producers. Side B is a fast-paced B-Boy sure shot, with hard hitting drums, rolling bass, percussion and live instruments - perfect to rock a hype b-boy battle. The songs are all recorded by live musicians and arranged by Boogs and Shelley Mack. Grab doubles to rock your cyphers, parties and jams. Robert Torres Psych-Funk, unreleased Kungfu flick theme tune, saved from the last remaining cassette copy Left, lost and almost forgotten. First time on a 45 and flipped with an Afro-Disco banger from China featuring MC Didjelirium. This limited edition picture cover release features special artwork from Mark Cursa.

DSK was introduced to hip-hop and electro in the early ‘80s and immediately began B-boying, Graffiti and DJing before focusing on the music and turning to the tables.

After making a name for himself as a DJ, he began to produce tracks . DSK now lives in China working as a DJ , producer and promoter.
