Während die letzten Alben mit cleanem Gesang experimentierten, bringt Haynes' Rückkehr den harschen, brutalen Sound zurück. Technisch anspruchsvoll und lyrisch wissenschaftlich geprägt, bleibt Allegaeon ihrem Stil treu - eine Mischung, die Haynes als "melotech" (melodic, technical death metal) beschreibt.
