Originally released in the height of the underground disco revival, The Sounds Of Revolution EP has since become a sought-after modern classic. Italian producer Giovanni Damico (aka G-Machine / Ron Juan) delivers four timeless boogie cuts that perfectly bridge vintage Italo, cosmic disco and modern club energy. From the euphoric synth hooks of the title track to the robotic funk of “Italians In A Line”, this EP captures everything that made Damico a staple in DJ bags across Europe.

The fifth release from Diggers Society Records is signed by one of the most influential duos in the underground electronic scene of the past 20 years: The Analogue Cops. With releases on now legendary labels like Kazumi or Holzplatten the Japanese producer Yamaoka has been rooted in the Techno scene since the late 90s, even though the stylistic range of his entire body of work over the past decades exceeds pure dancefloor functionality by far. Originally released via the Leipzig-based underground label Minor in 2017 the two tracks on this super limited 7“ vinyl release capture a raw, hounded and unpolished high octane take on Techno which is rarely to be found these days with especially the B-side cut „Low“ presenting an absolute peaktime weapon for the adventurous and experienced DJ's out there.
Never officially distributed before and only known and recognized by a few well informed selectors out there this is the first time ever this unrecognized gem is available to a wider audience, albeit in highly limited quantities.

Crystal Motion were from New Bedford, Massachusetts, formed in 1974 and released this soul gem the following year, originally on the Sound Gems label.

Super Freak is the first single from these sessions: a fiery 70s-style reggae reinterpretation of Rick James’ classic. Led by Jolly Joseph’s signature falsetto, it rides a heavyweight bass line, playful reggae groove, and warm layers of organ, piano, guitar, and Mini Moog, all recorded live on vintage gear.

bending sound, space, and rhythm into a deep dub sorcery.

Portugal's Dextro returns for second EP of stylish deep techno on Mutual Rytm with ‘Planets And Stars’. Dextro’s tunes have long been a staple of Mutual Rytm label head SHDW's sets, with the esteemed veteran previously landing on the label with his ‘Covil Dos Abutres’ EP last year. His return with ‘Planets And Stars’ features a selection of his most requested IDs from recent times, with the Portuguese DJ/producers featuring as a longstanding favourite within the European underground since the 90s through his stripped-back, economical sound that is rooted in masterful design and intuitive grooves. He is a true studio craftsman, whether going deep or more destructive, and that range is on show here as he makes a splash for his sophomore outing. SHDW notes, “‘Planets And Stars’ feels like his most refined and focused work to date. It also further strengthens our relationship, rooted in a shared vision and values around music and how it should be presented.” The EP kicks off with the heavyweight ‘1000 Places’, a track that will rattle walls as eerie synth whispers and sonar blips snake through the mix. ‘Industria Acéfala’ is just as hypnotic with a deep blend of rolling bass and rooted kicks, while unsettling tension comes in the one-note synth loops and scratchy texture. ‘Planets and Stars’ provides an intergalactic trip with cosmic dust, conscious spoken words and an infinite horizon that has you gazing off into the distance. The all-consuming ‘Perpendicular’ is shadowy with impish motifs darting about the mix as watery droplets fall into cavernous kicks. ‘Winter Letter’ is the final 12”cut and is perfectly deep, linear techno with gorgeous ambient details that turn your thoughts inwards. Sun Ra is better known to most as a musician than a poet, but he identified equally as both. My Words Are Music provides direct access to the sentiments of a poet who never called Earth home. The spoken word album hosts an inspired array of artists who personally chose their favorite Sun Ra poems to recite. Freed from the page, his poetry acquires an unexpected simplicity and poignance it possessed all along.

This all-star and intergenerational lineup of artists conjure wisdom from his words: spoken word elder Abiodun Oweyole of The Last Poets; rapper, and singer-songwriter Saul Williams; jazz experimentalist Melanie Charles; British-Trinidadian poet, novelist and musician Anthony Joseph; poet Mahogany L. Browne; poet, playwright, and conceptual artist Carl Hancock Rux; musician/digital composer L’Rain; singer, actor, and director Tunde Adibempe of TV on the Radio singer; British DJ and BBC radio host Zakia Sewell; ballistic hip-hop poet Jive Poetic; and longtime members of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Marshall Allen, Knoel Scott, and Tara Middleton.

Punctuated by impish electronic interludes composed and played by Marshall Allen, these voices bless Sun Ra’s poetry with new life My Words Are Music offers the opportunity to follow Sun Ra into a
better future. “Prepare for the journey,” he writes in his poem “The Cosmic Age”, “You have a rendezvous / With the living wisdom.” My Words Are Music is a project developed in conjunction with Living Sky, the all-instrumental Sun Ra Arkestra album released on Omni Sound in 2022

In 1996, Busta Rhymes delivered his debut album, The Coming, three years after the Leaders of the New School unofficially disbanded. Though his talents were evident on those Leaders of the New School releases, Busta went on a series of features that only built up the public's desire for a solo Busta album. Right out of the gate, Busta dropped his classic debut single "Woo Hah!! (Got You All in Check)" that made it abundantly clear he was to be mentioned among Hip Hop's greatest solo artists. The energy and originality packed on that one song set a tone for the album that displays Busta's raw talent and ability to bend words with his ever rambunctious flow. The album features production by Easy Mo Bee, DJ Scratch, Q-Tip, and J Dilla. Songs such as "Everything Remains Raw", "Abandon Ship", and "Still Shining" all rise above as The Coming's stand-out tracks, but "Ill Vibe" is the album's crown jewel moment. Busta sounds right at home over this J Dilla beat, trading verses with his Native Tongue cohort Q-Tip. The Coming was a critical and commercial success for Busta Rhymes. It reached #6 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1996 and has since received a platinum certification from RIAA. As mentioned, The Coming boasts the hit single "Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check " which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1996. It was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance. It also ended up sporting another hit single, It's a Party featuring Zhané. The Coming shows amazing variety where Busta can break free from the bells and the whistles of the Busta Dungeon Dragon flow to explore other ways of leaving our jaws open by his incredible lyricism. The Coming surely lives up to its title, as Busta delivers a performance that ignited his impeccable solo career.

Divine wasn’t just a singer, Divine was a phenomenon. Born Harris Glenn Milstead, Divine transformed drag, performance, and queer visibility long before it was mainstream. From the underground stages of Baltimore to international fame, Divine became a muse for filmmaker John Waters, starring in classic cult films like Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble and Hairspray, that redefined shock, satire, and queer cinema.

Native and Queer (The Complete Experience) brings together the full force of Divine's musical legacy in one explosive HI-NRG compilation. anthems,. Featuring the iconic anthems that shook dancefloors worldwide, “Native Love (Step By Step)”, the track that launched Divine into international stardom, “Shoot Your Shot”, “Walk Like A Man”, “You Think You’re Man” and more bold tracks. American producer Bobby Orlando aka Bobby “O” was the architect behind Divine’s most tracks and is regarded as an innovator in the HI-NRG genre, while Pete Waterman & Barry Evangeli produced “You Think You’re A Man” and “Walk Like A Man“ was a solo effort by Barry Evangeli.

On the occasion of the release of the final episode of the nine-part Star Wars saga: The Rise Of Skywalker, all songs were re-recorded by Robert Ziegler, alongside the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra and members of the Slovak Philharmonic Choir. These includes the iconic “Main Title” composition, “Duel Of The Fates”, “Yoda’s Theme” and “The Imperial March”.

In May of 1966, the unknown singer Jack Wood recorded two songs at Great Lakes Studio in Sparta, Michigan. These unique, otherworldly songs 'Born to Wander' and 'So Sad' would be self-released by Wood on his own Lawrence Records imprint in an edition of 100 copies. Going nowhere and being quickly forgotten, it would take Wood ten years to pay back the $250 he borrowed for the entire endeavor. Fast-forward to the 21st century and the deepest of record collectors are intrinsically moved by the power behind Wood's single, vacillating between Northern Soul, garage, big band and country music all within the same song. Heartbreak Station, released in 1990, is the third studio album by American rock band Cinderella. The record climbed to No. 19 on the Billboard 200 and earned platinum certification the following year. VH1 described the album’s shift in direction as “bluesy and brawny,” a fitting summary for a project that produced three Billboard Hot 100 singles; “Shelter Me,” “Heartbreak Station,” and “The More Things Change.”

The album marked a deliberate move away from the glam‑metal sound that defined Night Songs and Long Cold Winter. Instead, Cinderella embraced a rawer, more stripped‑down blues approach. Speaking to the Los Angeles Daily News shortly before release, frontman Tom Keifer explained the evolution: the band aimed for a “rawer, simpler approach,” reducing reverb and overdubs to let the songs breathe. Keifer also noted that blues played a major role in shaping his songwriting during this period.

Adding to the album’s depth, former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones arranged the string sections for two tracks. The band sought him out after being impressed by his orchestral work for artists like The Rolling Stones and Donovan.

Heartbreak Station includes an insert with lyrics and is available on black vinyl.

Swedish rockers The Wannadies reached internationally stardom in 1994, when they released their third album Be A Girl.

The single "You and Me Song" became the group's biggest hit, peaking at number eighteen in the United Kingdom, after being featured on the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann's film Romeo + Juliet (starring Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio).

But the magic of the album goes further, “Might Be Stars" became another UK hit, and sounds exactly like the Britpop from that time. The sound of summer is what makes this record so wonderful, from the start to the end.

Accomplished trumpeter, composer, bandleader and educator, Kamal Abdul-Alim has been actively involved in creative music for decades. He has toured Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. He has recorded with all kinds of bands, large and small, and performed in festivals all over the world. “He takes the postbop of the 50s and free-form jazz of the 60s and turns it into an even balance of fine textures. Alim, who is highly underrated, has one of the most beautiful tones and concepts of jazz. A master of improvisation, he knows the art of weaving different ideas, whether they stem from Manhattan’s lower East Side or Europe” (Hugh Wyatt, New York Daily News). “Dance” was recorded in 1983 but first released on vinyl in 1987. High Focus Records are proud to present the latest collaboration from Verb T & Illinformed. ‘Stranded in Foggy Times’ both continues and completes the trilogy that began back in 2015, with ‘The Man with the Foggy Eyes’, before broadening the horizons with last year’s release ‘The Land of the Foggy Skies’. This final chapter returns to the same conceptual landscape as its predecessors, but also sees Verb T & Illinformed returning to a more classic approach to album making. In spite of its concept, the Foggy Trilogy is something of a personal outpouring for Verb T, with the original aim being to vicariously discuss the trials and tribulations that play a part in his life, including his struggles with chronic illness and the feeling of alienation from leaving his hometown, while also reflecting on the state of the world as a whole. Their approach to making the album meant taking it back to the most natural form, where the idea for the track would be outlined, Illinformed would make the beat, Verb T would write to it and then they would tweak and adjust accordingly. The result is 19 of the most finely crafted tracks to emerge from the UK shores this year. As with the previous albums, ‘Stranded in Foggy Times’ finds Illinformed moving away from the more rugged sound that has shrouded the British scene over the last few months, thanks to his collaborations with the likes of Datkid and Wish Master, instead providing Verb T with an arguably more mellow backdrop. From the string and piano driven introduction on ‘Legacy’, to the blissful head-nod vibes of the closing track, ‘Blind Faith’, the union between beats and rhymes sits at the perfect level. The album also boasts one of the most impressive guestlists of the year, one that is very much a product of both players’ worlds. Thanks to Illinformed’s Bristol connection, there are features from the likes of Res One, Datkid, Leaf Dog, Smellington Piff and Chillman, as well as some locally sourced cuts from DJ Rogue. While on Verb T’s side of the fence, we have features from Rye Shabby and Moreone, along with a collaboration that reignites the same creative spark he found in his early days, as King Kashmere steps into the booth on Feeling Strange. All in all, ‘Stranded in Foggy Times’ does exactly what it sets out to do, by drawing the trilogy to a close while also providing insights into Verb T’s personal world and the world at large. The fact that it also happens to be one of the strongest rap albums of the year is the icing on the cake

Chopin's "Prelude in A Major", first instrumental recording of Ra's "Somebody
Else's Idea". Features Allen's "Day of the Living Sky", a meditative work that is a
belated response to Sun Ra's composition "Night of the Living Sky" which is also
featured in the album.
